402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 20, 2024, 09:59:42 AM
I do think it will hurt Canelo's legacy if he doesn't duck Benavidez this year.

1. They are both in the same division, Benavidez holds the WBC interim belt.
2. Charlo twins are 154 lbs and 160 lbs champion, they are moving up in weight to fight him.
3. Didn't fight Bivol for a rematch.
4. They said Benavidez should fight other PBC fighters and so he did, beat Plant and Demetrius Andrade and beat them.

Obviously, Canelo's legacy is going to be strained for not fighting a prime Benavidez wherein Floyd gave him that chance before.

The problem with Benavidez is he is only a mandatory. He doesn't bring anything beneficial to Canelo. He's like a super high risk with a decent reward that is not so high. I think Canelo just went the Mayweather way. Floyd was old at that time but he demanded a catchweight against a green 23-year-old Canelo.

I thought Benavidez is the WBC interim super middleweight champion when he beat Lemieux in 2023, then defeated Caleb Plant and Andrade to retain that belt. So him and Canelo should really fight as Canelo held the regular WBC belt.

The WBC interim is a garbage belt along with the other interim belts from the other sanctioning bodies including the WBA regular belt. They don't count as real titles. Canelo gets nothing fighting Benavidez.

But Benavidez deserves a title shot because he is the supposed mandatory of the WBC. The only way for Canelo to not get stripped is to fight him but the WBC is very corrupt. Instead, the WBC issued an interim belt which is nonsense because Canelo is not injured and is active.

Everybody's praising Benavidez but I also feel something for this guy. I believe he will also start ducking once he becomes the top dog. It's because he canceled his fight with fellow prospect and undefeated David Morrell in favor of an old and inactive Andrade. If Benavidez won, he could've become not just the WBC mandatory but also in the WBA since Morrell holds that right.

It is reported that it was Morrell who didn't want to fight or at least that was Benavidez Sr said that Morrell is not ready and so they they go on and fight Andrade. They still insists though that they are willing to fight him next. But obviously, for a more lucrative fight, they are targeting Canelo and I think most of us here wanted to see that fight. Mexican vs Mexican.

Well, that's the excuse of the Benavidez family. In fairness, Andrade is a much easier and financially better opponent than the very dangerous and hungry David Morrell. But they should realize that Canelo can also make the same excuse.

404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 20, 2024, 09:13:35 AM
I don't watch UFC and this is the first time I posted in this thread but what happened on February 17, 2024, was phenomenal. Merab Dvalishvili and Ilia Topuria, both of them Georgians, from my country, won the fight. Topuria became the first Georgian to become the champion of UFC and I believe that Merab Dvalishvili will become the second Georgian who will also become the UFC Champion.
This is simply amazing, both fighters made Georgians very proud. Not only did they win the fight and make the country more popular but many people made a bet on them and got good money in return.

Congratulations! You got yourself a UFC champion, especially for a country with only over 3 million population. Those were amazing victories. I also won my bet on Ilia so I had my little celebration that day. Maybe it is time for you to follow combat sports. Grin

I just think Ilia came in at the right time. There's no way Volk was back in himself after suffering that head kick a few months ago. Although Volk can only blame himself for accepting the huge Middle East offer, which was a 10-day notice and it was not even enough to properly cut down in weight. Volk will never be mentally the same.

Merab Dvalishvili deserved a title shot but the UFC is a profit first oriented company. He was beating former world champions and even if Cejudo was not injured he would still dominate that fight. I wonder when he gets a title shot, Pink Poodle seems to be popular and can generate big money for the UFC for as long as he holds a belt.
405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 19, 2024, 12:05:26 PM
I am curious how many are watching the All-Stars weekend games these days. Is the rating growing and becoming better than in the old days?

I still watch it but mostly not all of them and there are events that I haven't finished. I felt like the older versions were better, especially in the East vs. West All-Stars where they are playing for real even if not 100%. The older All-Stars weekends were at the level of I cannot miss events. Now, I have no problem missing them especially if there are better options to do or watch.

407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: February 19, 2024, 11:43:48 AM
Before my experience didn't go very far in gambling, I often watched influencers and it really influenced me, but the current situation is very different, just like you, I just smile when. seeing casino influencers playing, I am no longer influenced by influencers and I prefer to play with my personal choice and do it with satisfaction whether I lose or win.

Well done. That's perfect. You learn and become mature. This is what a responsible bettor should be. Not influenced by any person, knows when to bet and when to stop. The most important is placing bets within our financial capacity and of course having fun.

Nowadays social media is becoming bigger and are even competing with television personalities. I haven't tried being influenced by a streamer because they were not trending back then. But I also had my fair of mistakes and I also learned from them. But maybe I can try influencers that are giving sports betting hints for free. Grin
408  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Philippines SEC will Ban Binance. Effectivity End of Feb. 2024 on: February 19, 2024, 11:17:05 AM

So far di pa rin ako nagwidraw.
409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - February 24 on: February 19, 2024, 10:57:20 AM
So this fight is happening this weekend. Hopefully, Jerwin can pull an upset in Japan and bring home the title. He is an underdog, but I am giving him a better chance of becoming the first champion than Raymart Gaballo, who has less experience in the quality of opponents and world title fight experience.

Jerwin already knows that Takuma has the skills but with a very low KO ratio. Jerwin has to let his hands go and take the risk so he can his big shots. Takuma meanwhile will probably try to bring the fight to the middle of the ring and we will see if Jerwin cannot force him into retreat.
410  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: February 19, 2024, 10:37:17 AM

In fairness magaling at creative mga dunks niya.

411  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: February 18, 2024, 11:19:08 AM
Na-retain ni Damian Lillard this year ang kanyang title sa 3-point contest. Sana meron itong epekto pagbalik niya sa Milwaukee lalo na struggling sila ngayon simula nagtake-over si Doc Rivers as coach.

412  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Makakatulong ba ang Charter Change Para Sa Adoption Ng Cryptocurrency on: February 18, 2024, 10:58:19 AM
If kailangan ng Charter Change gaya nung example ng OP na bigyan ng chance mag venture mga foreign businesses and own them 100% then for sure makakatulong.

413  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Philippines SEC will Ban Binance. Effectivity End of Feb. 2024 on: February 18, 2024, 10:38:32 AM

Ewan lang talaga kung ma implement nila agad yan since yunh cornhub nga *sinadya ko ibahin for censorship* di ma block ng gobyerno gaya nga ng sabi ng iba. Siguro mag succeed sila at earliest of implementation but magkaka access parin talaga ang mga pinoy dyan.

414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you win? on: February 18, 2024, 10:17:24 AM
I am into sports betting most of the time. And I am also into 50/50 odds or something close. Today I won my bet on UFC's main event, Ilia Topuria the new champion. So it is not surprising that I can win because I have around a 50% chance of winning. Losing streaks is also possible but not that long. For many years with this type of odds, I think 8 losses was my longest streak and maybe the same number as my longest winning streak.

In betting, we don't have to make bets daily especially when we cannot do deeper research to analyze the games.
415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jason Moloney vs Reymart Gaballo WBO Bantamweight Title (May 12) on: February 18, 2024, 09:20:55 AM
I am not too happy with Gaballo's last fight. I think he only unleashed 5 punches and that was it. And prior to the Thai opponent, Gaballo struggled against an unknown local opponent. Gaballo only fought once a year since he was defeated by Donaire. I haven't watched Jason Moloney's last fight, but I heard he somewhat struggled. Nonetheless, it's a title fight compared to the opponents Gaballo faced.

Of course, I would love to see Gaballo winning a title, but my head says Moloney has his number. Gaballo's lack of activity and lack of quality opponents did not enhance him. I still see him as a fighter with a raw power. He's still awkward but maybe Donaire Sr. will address his flaws now that they are working a bit longer. Gaballo has to land his power shots because Moloney has the skills while also capable of scoring knockouts.
416  Other / Off-topic / Re: Having a regular/steady income is important as a gambler. on: February 18, 2024, 08:58:20 AM
I do not know if this topic is worth in this forum or not. It's nonsense to me. Maybe this is a reminder to kids who know nothing about life yet. I mean, everybody who has common sense knows this rule. Everybody knows even people who are not into betting that we need a steady income to continue with life. We need a steady income before starting a family.

Betting is like a luxury, only people with extra money are recommended to enter. And even to those with extra money, we still need to bet what we can only afford to lose which means something that makes us not emotional in case we lose.

Claymore
Blue Eye Samurai
The Angel Next Door
The Night Agent
Who is Erin Carter

418  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Philippines SEC will Ban Binance. Effectivity End of Feb. 2024 on: February 17, 2024, 09:08:34 AM

419  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Gambling winning streak on: February 17, 2024, 08:15:37 AM
Baka few days lang sa akin. 4 to 6 days mga ganun. Mga 80k plus total winnings ko that time. So ayon nga simot yung 80k na gain. After nun namundok at tumigil muna.

Earlier Canelo said he is facing an American next which means not Mungia. Thought it was either Bud or maybe Jermall. But just lately, he denied Crawford saying he does not want the fans to say he beat a smaller guy who moved up 3 divisions. So I guess it is Jermall against Canelo this Cinco De Mayo. Revenge of the twin will be the theme. Cheesy
