It seems like Ngannou's name grow big after what he did to UFC and showing reluctance to sign easily to any of the other rival MMA promotions. The $20 million 2-fight deal from ONE is the biggest per-fight guarantee although PFL's deal allowed Ngannou to become part of the board, allowed him to box, and have a huge PPV share which will be more beneficial only if his PPV numbers grow more than his previous numbers at UFC.

Ngannou is expected to return to MMA action next year so it will be 2 years of inactivity. Although he is expected to have a heavyweight boxing tune-up this year before vying for a shot at either Fury, AJ, or Wilder. Seriously though, he cannot beat any of the top 20 heavyweights except his puncher's chance. A shameful loss to boxing at least won't hurt much if in case his market will diminish since PFL only gave a guarantee of 7 digits in each of his next 3 MMA fights.

Sounds like ONE's offer is a lot preferable. There could be changes to his fighting style by now after some boxing training, I'm sure he has a chance to win against any boxer.

But Ngannou is not just aiming for MMA money. If he remains unbeaten since becoming the UFC champion, his potential of earning big bucks in boxing stays alive. And besides, if Ngannou is really capable of marketing well his next MMA fights, he might earn more than $10 million per fight.

Most of the time, we cannot teach old dogs new tricks. I wonder if Ngannou is an exception. He carries that big punch though so there's always a puncher's chance but this might be the same case for any heavyweights. His stamina will be his main problem, not just in a 36-minute boxing match but also in a full 5-round match in MMA. We'll see what he looks like in his tune-up fight this year.

in terms of image, Casimero after this fight will no longer be seen with much expectation, what he could do was take a long time to prepare and get a fight with a very strong and popular fighter and in case of his victory, he would have very attention
The excuse given was that he was training in his home country and might have been distracted during training. However, let's avoid discussing excuses here, as both fighters are expected to perform at their best during the fight so the winner should be appreciated.

There's a reason why Casimero went to Thailand during his fight in Korea for him to focus. I also do not believe that Casimero was fully focused during his training camp in Cebu, Ph. He might have underestimated Fillipus which is why he avoided a more costly training camp abroad like Thailand. Casimero's lifestyle and becoming a part-time vlogger make it more difficult for him to focus if he stays in the country during training camps.

The fight is already done. Many fans did not appreciate Casimero's poor performance during that fight. Filippus might be heavy during fight night but that cannot be an excuse if you are looking for a fight with Naoya Inoue.

Damn! I am sure Jimmy Butler burned a lot of bettors' money in today's game 1 with Boston. Jimmy Butler looks good in a regular season game but is excellent when it comes to the playoffs where it matters most. And Miami Heat despite a roster with only 1 superstar and less support compared to the other top teams are always a dark horse when it comes to the playoffs. It's a good thing I did not bet against Jimmy and will just watch their games. I still think Boston is the favorite to win the series, they're just too well-rounded and deep.

It's been years now that Miami Heat despite its roster continues to over-perform. I wonder when is the time the management becomes serious in bringing help to Jimmy. Jokic got his reinforcements this season, hopefully, Jimmy gets his next season.

Nothing different here mate. My country is struggling as well. But what turns matters worst is the high level of corruption in my country. The pandemic permanently closed a lot of our businesses here and I also lost all my source of income. I have investments in our local stock market but it turned into a nightmare with some stocks performing worse than crypto's altcoin market in a bear season.

Despite all of these trials, we need to strive harder than ever. I am actually looking forward to crypto's bull run next year and 2025 as my biggest hope of recovery.
1367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: May 17, 2023, 04:15:14 PM
Inoue went the other way which is unifying and becoming undisputed. The goal of achieving them won't allow you to move up in divisions pretty quickly just like Pacquiao did. If Pacquiao went on to pursue unification fights and become undisputed, he will never reach the 8 division titles. Pacquiao only tried to unify twice which ended in a draw and a loss. Pacquiao never experienced holding 2 major belts in a division. But somehow, Pacquiao is a 5 division lineal champion IIRC which makes him unique and special. So if there is only 1 belt per division, Pacman will remain as having the most titles in as many divisions, Mayweather probably 4, De La Hoya only 2, etc. Having only 1 belt but being recognized as the lineal champion is still better than having 3 belts but unrecognized as the lineal of its division. That is why Spence despite owning 3 of the 4 belts needs Crawford to determine the lineal champion of their division. Pacman did not duck anyone and always went on to fight the best which are the lineals or #1 or #2 in the divisions that is why he made it to 5.

Inoue on the other hand has the chance to become the only 2-division undisputed champion in the 4-belt era. And this is very doable if he wins over Fulton because WBA and IBF champion Marlon Tapales expressed his willingness to unify the 4 belts as well.

I'm excited about next season. Maybe we can see a rivalry between these top picks, Chet Holmgren and Wembanyama. Hopefully, no injuries especially on these 2 players. I'm also not sure if Wembanyama will be happy at San Antonio but the team is known to have legendary David Robinson and Tim Duncan and Wembanyama is the 3rd coming. And with coach Pop who's been developing players into stars, he will learn a lot which will be very important in his early days in the NBA. I expect him to gain some weight as the team will assess him. And with his playing style and skills, he is capable of avoiding injuries if he keeps away from being too physical while his body is still developing.

Wonder how Wemby holds up tho. Players with his size have a spotty health track record. He might not get career ending injuries, more such diminishing his effectiveness a la Porizingis. That said the Spurs are the original "DNP - OLD" champions, so there is hope.

Well, San Antonio with the 1st pick in the draft this year, they did everything in their power to get some odds to get it, and it was successful.

Sometimes losing pays out Smiley .

Guess the NBA is not suuuper happy since they obviously want to see Wembanyama in a big market but since LA, NY and so on all had good seasons it is what it is.

It will definitely be good for Wemby because he will get a great coach (that just signed an extension) which is know for developing players into stars. Also since Texas has vno state income tax he can earn more money on his rookie contract.

Looking forward for summer league and so on, it's gonna be a show!
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 17, 2023, 03:12:19 PM
As much as I respect Devin Haney, the kid is the man in this division and is undisputed but it is annoying when he tries to trash-talk and throw false accusations on Loma. Is Haney trying to have a reason to get mad and disrespect Loma in order to further motivate him? Haney says he wants to punish Loma for what he did to him in the past. What did Loma do to Haney in the past? And what type of punishment he can offer when he is not a KO artist and is only very good at hugging his opponents? Seriously, betting markets should offer an over or under as to how many hugs Haney will do this weekend.  Cheesy

I know Loma is already past his prime but I really hope that what is left to him is enough to outsmart Haney. I expect Haney to make another boring fight just to secure his undisputed belts. Haney will jab, move and then hug Loma every time he goes near. At this stage of their careers, Haney will be the stronger guy so he might dictate the hugs in this fight.
1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: May 17, 2023, 02:48:59 PM
More interested to see Ngannou having a boxing fight against one of top heavyweights, than to see him having MMA fight against PFL heavyweight Cheesy I dont think that any of PFL heavyweights are able to cause Ngannou serious troubles (if only they are not elite jitsers and can do something weight like leg or knee locks, because strangling or trying to break Ngannou hands is useless Cheesy). Ngannou talked a lot about how he wants big numbers and boxing fight. It will be fun to see how almost every his boxing opponent have similar knocking power and what Ngannou to put against them.

Ngannou is expected to have his boxing tune-up this year. Maybe he should start training early and then late-noticed someone that is past his prime and is also inactive. Someone that is not mobile and only has 4 weeks or less to train. Or maybe an agent can just pay someone to let Ngannou win in a KO. Still, I don't see Ngannou having enough energy after 4 rounds. Any of the top 20 with proper training camp can easily jab him to death. And fat guys like Andy Ruiz have more energy and speed.

The real target after his tune-up are Fury, AJ, and Wilder. All of them except Wilder possessed skills but after their previous losses, it seems like only Fury is capable of bringing a possible 1 million PPV buys with Ngannou. But 500k PPV buys is probably enough for Ngannou to earn around $15 million.

In many parts of the world, people cannot even earn a million dollars in their lifetime. But I agree that it is very difficult for someone to have financial stability without education. Not all because I also heard stories of success from people with limited educational backgrounds but they are only a few of the millions or maybe billions of poor people around the world. That is how important education is, especially financial education.

That being said if I were to leave a million dollars to my child or provide him a full education up to college, I will choose the latter. I don't mind my child not becoming a millionaire in dollars in the future for as long as it can take to go to school and then go to college with his own preference based on his skills and interests.

Just like what I've expected that the Philly will be forced to have someone to take the blame and now they have joined the trend, sadly it turns out that it is Doc Rivers.

Quote
The Philadelphia 76ers dismissed coach Doc Rivers on Tuesday, the team announced.

"We're grateful for all he did in his three seasons here and thank him for the important impact he made on our franchise. After having the chance to reflect upon our season, we decided that certain changes are necessary to further our goals of competing for a championship." - 76ers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey said in a statement.
Sources

As of now, there are 5 franchises in the league that got an open slot for head coach namely Bucks, Raptors, Pistons, Suns and then we have the 76ers who just joined the party, who knows there might be some additional in the following weeks.
This is quite unfortunate to see but I understand the Suns and Sixers situation because they have been going back and forth in the playoffs now with no benefits at all.

Somehow, I agree to fire Doc. He seems to choke on very important games during the playoffs even during his time with Boston's big 3 of Garnett, Pierce, and Allen where he only managed to earn a single championship. I forgot the stats but was it zero wins in all of his game 7 games?

Another coach that is being watched closely is Jason Kidd. If only he is not Jason Kidd and not Dallas Mavericks where he earned his lone ring. But he might be given another last chance. I say the trade with Kyrie Irving trade was a huge failure. And why is it that Dallas always let go of very important players every time it accomplished something big in the previous season? When they became champions, they decided to let Tyson Chandler go in favor of saving money. Last season they upset the Suns and were able to proceed to the western finals and only lose to the champion GSW but then again they let go of Jalen Brunson who's now playing great with the NYK.

OP, it is very possible to earn $20 or even more in day trading with a capital of $2k because that is only 1%. The problem however is the consistency. I really doubt it. I did this many times before and sometimes with even less than a 1% daily target but it didn't work out.

consistency won't be a problem the moment @OP learned the inside and out of trading.  Since he is only aiming for 1% of his trading capital I think it is doable.

But what is the real secret of knowing the inside and out of trading? Maybe you can share it here so OP will learn it? Of course, I also need to know, I tried many strategies before and they did not work for long. So I thought strategies will only work for some time and then traders need to develop another strategy to gain from the market.

I remember when I tried to increase my daily trading capital to $10k so I can target a net profit of at least 0.50% daily. And even with that very small target, I failed to become consistent. And after trying to make more strategies to earn from the market including not putting a stop loss, I end up losing nearly 50% of my capital before I stopped day trading once again.

Or maybe trading is not for me. So I might just again try copy trading in crypto but I want it free this time or at least free in the first few days or weeks to test if it works. I hope OP will make an update if ever he is able to find a consistent trader he can copy trade.
1375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: May 16, 2023, 06:43:46 PM
It's disgusting Tony Weeks intervened, stopping the fight when 4k years old Barroso was not even hit clean and was leading the fight prior to the stoppage. Weeks did not even think about the effort of Barroso who's just awakened from his pyramid in Egypt just to fight PBC's baby pug, Rolando Romero. Anyways, Romero better mentions only popular but weaker fighters because he is nowhere near the levels of Taylor, Prograis, Matias, etc. 2 of the champions in the division are now at PBC but I really doubt Al will allow Romero to unify his WBA belt against IBF champion Subriel Matias.

Meanwhile, here is Eddy Reynoso's say on KingRy. He might be welcomed again but he needs to follow Reynoso's rules and not his. But I have doubt that this will happen if Canelo will face an uphill battle next with the likes of Bivol.

1376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jason Moloney vs Vincent Astrolabio WBO 118lbs Title (May 13) on: May 16, 2023, 05:57:54 PM
However, in the case of Moloney, it appears he is hesitant to face an older Donaire.
Obviously, that was the case because it was supposed to be Moloney vs. Donaire fighting for the championship belt. However, Moloney backed out and chose a different opponent whom he believed he could defeat. His decision turned out to be correct as he emerged victorious in a hard-fought, tight match.

So the question remains, what's next for Moloney? Will he continue to play it safe and avoid Donaire as a challenger? Or if Donaire wins a championship, would Moloney be willing to unify the belts?

If there was someone that wants Moloney to face an easier opponent to become a champion, it would be Bob Arum. Nonetheless, Arum has his own valid reasons, old Donaire until now wasted a lot of time, energy, and money as well as it is assumed that he is already training.

At last, I already watched the whole replay yesterday on Youtube. The reception was only 720p though and I was sleepy so I did not score the fight. But from my own limited observation, it was close and could have gone either way? And the Mexican broadcasters followed someone's scorecard who actually had Astrolabio winning 116-112. I haven't seen the per-round stats yet but I heard Moloney connected more although I valued power punches more than just jabs and Astrolabio seemed to have landed the heavier shots.

I also watched an interview with Moloney. I was surprised that his hand was actually injured in round 3 or 4 of that fight. And he kept it a secret and did not show any hints even to his own corner because he was afraid that they might stop the fight and would stop his chance of becoming a champion. He was in a hospital after the fight and stayed there until 2 AM. That was probably the reason why he stick to moving and using his skills. And I am surprised that he was so confident that he really won very clearly in that fight. His mind right after the fight was that he won 11 or 10 or 9 out of 12. And then lastly, he mentioned that he would love to unify the belt for a chance to become undisputed, Donaire included. He is hoping to bring another big unification fight to Australia again.

By the way, next weekend is the Haney-Lomachenko event. The main supporting event is Jason Moloney's twin brother, Andrew Moloney trying to become a 2-time champion against the undefeated Japanese Junto Nakatani who is moving up in weight to become a 2 division champion. There were only a few brothers that became world champions and it's rare to see twins become champions. This might steal the show if Haney keeps on hugging and making his fight with Loma a boring one.
1377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: May 14, 2023, 09:11:45 PM

All of that might be found on his new journey and as of now, it's already rumored that he already have another one to coach him but I don't think he will be given enough time because that same coach is also the coaches of Anthony Joshua, Charlo and Errol Spence. But I have no doubts that he can a learn a thing or two in this new coach because he also trained numerous champions already.

So it's going to be a repeat on Ryan Garcia as you have said, remember that he left Eddy Reynoso because he thinks that he is not giving him enough time, as Eddy had Canelo Alvarez that was his excused and so he parted ways and go to Joe Goosen.

So doesn't make sense to go to Derrick James then?

Anyhow, we wait if this marriage will work in the future, imagine Ryan becoming slick and improved his footwork with his new trainer. Because it seems that James is known to train black athletes so maybe he can improved Ryan a bit.

I would trust Reynoso and Canelo's words rather than the very talkative unproven Ryan Garcia. Reynoso has the time but he wants his precious time only for those that are fully devoted and follows his advice. The same with Canelo, he allowed some athletes like Oscar Valdez, Andy Ruiz, and Ryan Garcia to join his training camp but they need to train like hell and not bring negativity to the camp.

Derrick James was in my mind too but I did not mention it because the Charlos and Spence are very close friends of Tank. Spence seems cool but the Charlos might bully and laugh at Garcia if they are in the same camp. I can feel deep inside that Ryan is hurting and wants revenge because he was not given the chance to fight Tank at the weight class he wants. Maybe James can fly to the place where Ryan can establish his training camp but I am not sure if his ego is capable of surviving in the same training camp with the Charlos. There is even the chance of Tank visiting his friends in training.

Ryan won't become slick overnight but James can help him set up his punches properly and work on his defense. He really has the habit to become wide and open when he throws his power punch and Tank knew it.

What do you think though? for me it's better for Ryan to just go back to Eddy then? I mean he has good relationship with Reynoso before and probably it's Ryan best interest that Canelo has said things in public against him. Perhaps Canelo's intention is for Ryan to really improved himself, but Ryan take it negatively.

For me I don't think that James will be a perfect fit for him as a coach, no offense to him, but the his style of coaching might not work with Ryan. So it's better to go back to where he all started his career, with Eddy's camp and for sure he can still improved and continue what they have started before instead of renewing another training pattern that he might have difficult to learn, in my opinion.

I read somewhere that Eddy is still willing to coach Ryan. But it could be Eddy trying to be nice in public when asked but I am pretty sure he and Canelo will have their own sets of demands once a fighter trains with them. I actually had doubts before that their partnerships will last long for some reason. Canelo severed his relationship with GBP and started working with Matchroom while Ryan renewed his contract with Oscar. Canelo's name was constantly used for clout by Jake Paul and he is annoyed with it, there was even a time when he shouted at a couple of Jake Paul's team to leave. While Ryan Garcia started to become friends with Jake Paul.

I agree with you on that. James might help him but it's limited because the styles might be too different. IMO, it is better to hire a coach with a similar style. The goal is to correct his mistakes and avoid his habits while working on different strategies too. But Ryan can actually hire a coach per fight basis and can only renew them with a longer contract once he is fit with them.

I was late to watch this fight. I tuned in just in time before the ring walk of the main event. Janibek is really a force to be reckoned with. Probably the next Kazakh star but more technical than GGG. Hoping to see him unify against the other belt holders soon.

About this fight, I watched the highlights of Top Rank and I thought Astrolabio was winning or maybe it was a close fight. That made me curious so I started asking my friends. Someone explained to me that Astrolabio was clearly losing this one as Moloney was using his skills rather than trading heavy blows. So that was it. Better luck next time. Highlights are not enough to determine fights anyways.
1379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 14, 2023, 07:56:51 PM
I think AD can neutralize Jokic better than any of the remaining centers and it will be a replay of the results of the bubble series.

If we compare the stats of Davis and Jokic, we can notice that Davis' strength is his defense in the paint and ability to grab rebounds well, while Jokic's strength is his ability to adapt and be a versatile player on the court. So it should be interesting to see which one of these two guys will dominate in the paint, but I think Davis is unlikely to be able to completely neutralize Jokic.

I was expecting Denver to have a rematch with GSW in the finals but well, this one is also another interesting series because it's another rematch of their bubble's series. This rematch though is different since Jokic finally had some reliable players to help his team. Jokic and AD are very capable players but I doubt they can fully stop each other's plays, especially on the Joker. Before, it was Dwight Howard that made Jokic's life difficult and probably set the tempo for the whole series. Howard was there to annoy Jokic while AD was free to focus on his offense. I am rooting for Denver this time. Jokic is just too versatile and now that he's got good teammates he will be more capable than AD. Denver's defense is more likely to shut down AD in some of their games than the Lakers' stopping Joker from contributing in many ways to help his team.

By the way, game 7 between Philly and Boston just got started. I want Philly to win but they might lose their chances when they let Boston force this deciding game.

Are you busy in life that you cannot study trading? Just learn the basics and then start finding someone you can copy trade on Twitter or Telegram or Tradingview. Avoid paying to day traders offering you copy trades or signals because most of the time it won't work. I also tried paying traders to receive their signals or copy trade because I was also busy with my regular work before so I thought I can have another source of income while free from the stress of analyzing the charts. All of them did not work, there are days that are profitable but there are bad days as well.
