I bet a time like that will come soon and that Inoue will find himself again in the same position as before when they were still at the bantamweight and in this instance, Casimero might not be a champion yet but he is already much closer in-terms of the rankings and that gives him more chance to be picked for a mandatory fight for the championship belt holders.

I really wish John Riel Casimero can strike another champion in this division so if Casimero and Inoue's fight comes it will be one epic fight and this could surely produce a big event and PPV that will be remembered by all their fans and likely followers, I really love that idea, but it is up to John Riel Casimero if he just like Naoya Inoue as his opponent but this is what I see

Casimero has to stay active if it wants to get a title shot next year. He is not getting younger as well so he better stay focused on the remaining years of his career. There are only 2 champions in the division which make it more difficult for Casimero to get a title shot. Both champions are also keen on unifying each other. The IBF is expected to issue a mandatory probably next year and hopefully, the WBC won't make their own mandatory so Casimero still has time to become a mandatory, probably by the WBO.

Meanwhile, Eddie Hearn the former promoter of Devin Haney might make a move to take him back to DAZN mentioning the names of 140 WBC champion Regis Prograis and GBP's Ryan Garcia as potential opponents inside the network. Jack Catterall is also another fighter Matchroom signed and will surely be in the mix.

4 title fights this weekend:
Matchroom/DAZN- Featherweight champ, Mauricio Lara (26-2-19 KOs) will defend his WBA belt against Leigh Wood (26-3-16 KOs) in a rematch.
Boxxer/Sky Sports(UK)- WBO cruiser champion Lawrence Okolie (19-0-14 KOs) defends his belt against Chris Billam-Smith (17-1-12 KOs).
Top Rank-Queensberry/ESPN-BT Sport(UK)- Luis Alberto Lopez's (27-2-15 KOs) first defense of his IBF belt against Michael Conlan (18-1-9 KOs).
Golden Boy Promotions/DAZN- Minimumweight champion Melvin Jerusalem's(20-2-12 KOs) first defense of his WBO belt against Oscar Collazo (6-0-4 KOs).
1342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 24, 2023, 04:44:08 PM
Have read an article that Tank Davis vs Ryan Garcia exceeds 1M buys which might be true due to the fact that both are knockout artists and Garcia being a social media influencer/vlogger helps in promoting the fight, bottom line neither fighter is a boring one so many are eager to witness them face each other.

That shoving of Haney didn't help to excite the non-hardcore boxing fans to watch the fight hehe.

Although both are great boxers, Haney and Loma doesn't have the fans like what Ryan and Gervonta have. Plus the way this two trash talk, we all know that Loma doesn't speak English well so this might be the case as it was only Haney who talk to the public and that shoving to bring the fight to the fans.

Yes, Davis-Garcia reached 1.2 million PPV buys. The gross of the fight was around $130 million, that's a lot of money. But it's more on Garcia as a social media influencer and Davis being the main PPV fighter of Showtime. Both fighters are also KO artists so casual fans are more keen on watching them even if it was not a championship fight. And it's also a plus when a Latino is involved and Davis is an American.

Loma has its own fan base but is limited. Haney is undisputed and he got the skills but his low KO rate and more hugs are kinda boring, especially to those that are not hardcore boxing fans. And that ridiculous result left another bad taste in boxing. I saw a lot of comments on social media saying it's their last PPV buy of a Top Rank PPV and some even said they will stop paying PPVs in boxing and would rather shift to UFC.
1343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 24, 2023, 04:23:08 PM
I was honestly surprised that the Celtics were able to win and stay alive here. Usually faced against those odds you teams give up halfway through the game and end up getting blown out. Now they’re delaying the inevitable but I’m glad for any extra games we get to watch this time of year. Seems like we are set for a Nuggets vs Heat Finals. Thursday will make it official.
Yes for the 4th game the Celtics won over the Miami Heat and in the 5th game I decided to bet the Celtics.
But for now the Miami Heat are still ahead of from 4 games with a 3 - 1 advantage and if in 3 games later the Celtics can get all the wins then they can add points to be in first place in the Eastern Conference standings.

I am also surprised that Boston Celtics were able to steal a game in this series and it was at Miami's home court. Miami better not feel too overconfident here because the next game is back to Boston again and another win might bring back their confidence and hope. They need to stay sharp and focused.

I also favor Boston to win game 5 but as a fan I want Miami to close the series and not give the Nuggets a lot of days to rest. Jimmy said that they will go to Boston for game 5 with a different mindset and they will enjoy the game.
1344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: May 23, 2023, 04:01:47 PM
I highly doubt that Dana will make any collaborations that have to do with Ngannou. Dana White is not at peace right now after Ngannou successfully lured the other big organizations to offer him big contracts. Dana will find peace only if Ngannou losses his boxing tune-up (unlikely) this year which means devaluing his market and of course the PPV numbers after his PFL debut which is expected to happen next year.

But even at the moment, I am hearing rumors which are normal for the remaining UFC stars with lesser contracts but are already proven with their PPV numbers. Well, actually most of UFC's champions have higher PPV numbers than Ngannou. Dana might be forced to change his style in computing PPV shares to his stars which is very very small compared to Ngannou's 50% with PFL.

I have different opinion. Ngannou wants to fight only top boxers. He has named 3 persons, Fury, AJ and Wilder. All of them are able (and most likely do) to destroy Ngannou in boxing. Not just win, but KO him. I think Dana would put maximum effort to spoil Ngannou possible boxing fight. Like running an UFC event with big names parallelly. It will also harm UFC, but that will shit greatly boxing event with stealing viewers.

But, I think Dana wont be doing anything like that. I think he has left Ngannou case already, but the fact that he comment on that is just the fact that he is only answering question. I think Dana is no longer obsessed with Ngannou. Like with Fedor Emelianenko. He wanted to sign him badly, offered him millions, but after a number of failed, dropped that idea and is no longer interested in that fight. Same goes with Dana and Ngannou. This is already past for him, and as a man behind UFC wheel, he build future, not paying attention to past.

Ngannou will have a boxing tune-up this year so it's most likely a weaker opposition and someone that makes Ngannou win in an impressive fashion as much as possible. And if his dream comes true facing either Fury, Aj, or Wilder, of course, he will get destroyed.

Dana is not obsessed with Ngannou but he is well aware of the financial risks once Ngannou will have a very successful PPV event on his PFL debut. The UFC is earning a lot of money on its PPV events and this might change once its fighters will start demanding a higher share percentage. Besides, if PFL will get even with the same PPV numbers as the UFC, it will become capable of offering UFC stars with higher PPV shares.
1345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 23, 2023, 03:21:09 PM
I wonder how the final is going to be played out between the Nuggets and Miami Heat. Both of them are showing really good consistency and also performing really well. Almost all of the players in both teams are currently performing very well and consistently. I don't think there is actually any doubt about Miami Heat getting into the finals. After all, they are only one game away to making sure that they are going to perform in the finals. They will have to win one out of 4. That is going to put things heavily in their favour. Smiley
We will see once both of them is already there. Right now, we just have to wait for the other team to qualify and that's the Heat which has a high chance that they'll end their series against Celtics by tomorrow. Both teams didn't get any lose from the semis(conference finals) and have performed very well. While Heat has the history of getting in and out in the finals, the Denver Nuggets is gonna get in for the first time in history. They may be lack of experience on that bracket but sure they like challenges. If ever the Heat finishes the game by tomorrow and we're already in the finals, I'm more optimistic with Heat's roster because of these undrafted boys.

This season's playoffs have made a lot of unexpected results in NBA history. I guess this would be the first time that the 7th and 8th seeds are able to reach each other conference's finals. And probably the first time that a team with the most undrafted players reached the finals.

I would love Miami to close their series with Boston tomorrow while at home. Miami Heat has the most difficult matches en route to the finals compared to the Nuggets. Props to coach Spoelstra for utilizing and developing well what the management can only provide to the team which has a lot of undrafted players. And to Butler's tough mentality and leadership. Miami is once again overachieving IMO.

I am a fan of both Denver and Miami and I am happy that they are now in the finals. Technically, I am favoring the Nuggets to win the series as they are the more well-rounded team and are complete. It is really worth it that Denver's management decided to send reinforcements to Jokic.
1346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: May 23, 2023, 12:17:19 PM
^  A cross promotion event is the only chance we see an Ngannou vs Jones match up.  And judging from what the UFC was willing to do with Nunes and Kayla Harris before, it's not outside the realms of possbility that we see a Ngannou vs Jones event happening.  It just needs to make some sense from a business perspective and it really does make a looot of sense.

This is the only way for Ngannou to let everyone know and clear every doubt that he is the best Heavyweight fighter no matter where he is and the UFC cannot decline that kind of offer if Ngannou will win some fights after he signed on PFL. He just needs to prove himself after a minimum of two fights and he can call out Dana to make it happen when they gonna reject that offer, then it's a win for Ngannou because he took the necessary reason to prove himself and the one who is running away is the UFC. They will need a real logical answer for the fans because that just doesn't make sense if they easily decline it.

1347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: May 23, 2023, 11:23:57 AM
...
That's because Donaire doesn't struggle yet against any other boxers at 118 since fighting Naoya Inoue. Just for a recap, after suffering the defeat at the hands of Naoya
Donaire already has a limited time left in his career and then here's another obstacle. Aside from him being inactive already for a year. He should speak and tell Schaefer to let the other promotions do the job temporarily.

I think everything is clear with Donaire's promoter, Richard Shaefer is no longer with Probellum, so he has no connections with the supposedly financier of that company which is suspected to be tied with the Irish mafia. And if I'm not mistaken, Probellum has dissolved already or being taken by a different entity now.

But I do agree that it has been like months already and we haven't had anything from this fight, no news and everything is quiet from both sides that I suspect that this fight might not going to happen.

Yes, Probellum already ceased to operate. But literally, it won't make Schaefer automatically free from US suspicions. Because Probellum is Schaefer himself just like Eddie Hearn has full control of his own promotion, Matchroom Boxing. So whatever connections happened, it is because of Schaefer and he is obviously facing an investigation by now.

Maybe the WBC should provide a deadline for both camps to reach a deal. Or is Sulaiman paid not to pressure Donaire's camp just like the way he babysit Errol Spence?
1348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: May 23, 2023, 11:03:05 AM
It's less than 3 weeks before another big showdown of Top Rank happens. It seems like I am not seeing much of the 2 in social media, but maybe I am not following enough of the boxing media nowadays. Both are arrogant fighters so they will make a trend during fight week when both are in New York. Teofimo Lopez the more popular fighter in the US seems silent while Josh said he will retire Lopez.

And it seems like Devin Haney already re-signed with Top Rank. Top Rank earlier offered Haney (win or lose to Loma) a shot at the winner of Taylor-Lopez. So it will add more motivation for both fighters to win since their next show is once again a PPV which means big money once again.
1349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: May 21, 2023, 09:59:44 PM
It's done already. Too late to turn back time. Garcia should have taken a tune up and maybe did not agree for rehydration clause or the get a better deal on the catchweight. Garcia and De La Hoya can focus on the present if they are to work together.

Garcia now has James as his new coach. We'll see how this goes. Maybe James can push him to train harder. But in reality Spence and Charlo have their own problems too so it's either Garcia becomes better or turn into worse.
1350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chinese coins pump coming? on: May 21, 2023, 02:44:19 PM
Yes, I'd been watching already a few coins that have potentials. Filecoin, Vechain and CFX are in my watchlist and maybe I will add some more in the next few weeks.

It's good that Hongkong is determined to pursue regulating cryptocurrencies. Mainland China or the communist part pretty sure won't follow suit but many of its people will flock towards Hongkong or even in other countries. Chinese volume in crypto is still very significant despite of the ban and I expect it to further increase if Hongkong starts its own regulations.
1351  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you still advised more buy and store? on: May 21, 2023, 02:21:43 PM
Without a doubt I want to buy more and will continue in doing so. I actually do a monthly DCA on bitcoin and some altcoins and I already bought some for this month but it is indeed tempting to buy more for this month due to its current price which is still down and haven't recovered back to $30k. I think bitcoin is coming back to $30k next month.

By the way OP, you are in a trading board just in case you meant to hold long term. Anyways, if you are trader it's also good to buy especially bitcoin and then maybe sell it in the next upward swing, say $30k.
1352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Gambling Operator Court Case on: May 21, 2023, 01:57:44 PM
So how is the case going on? Did the gambler able to beat the betting company in court?

Personally, I doubt the court will reward the decision to the gambler. There's a lot reminder everywhere the importance of responsible gambling. Plus gambling is not illegal and is supposed as an entertainment hubs.

It's like obese people that consumes a lot of food regularly on fast foods and then suing them. Or a cigarette smoker who's suffering from a disease related to smoking addiction, this might have the better chances of winning in the court.
1353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: May 20, 2023, 09:40:56 PM
For now, nothing yet as there's no update from both sides, same with the topic here regarding Thurman and Spence fight.
This seems cancelled although not yet clear. Greedy WBC is still reluctant to cancel this mandatory and strip Spence of his belt. What made it even worse is the WBC not issuing a deadline for both teams to make a deal so they can proceed in the last resort which is the purse bid.

Almost safe to consider that as they've been fooling the people that the fight is nearing to be established and they even said that they will announce it in April 22 but for some reasons, there's no update or whatsoever regarding the unification fight and both camps are silent about it. For the record, this is their 2nd negotiation and if this will fail which I think is they are almost there, then I don't think that this fight will materialize ever.

Both champions should just face the interim holders because their popularity is at risks if they continue to be this selfish, moreover, I think it's time too that the likes of Vergil Ortiz Jr. and Boots Ennis to have their most awaited chances. And regarding about that, I'm waiting for the IBF to make their own move because Boots Ennis already submitted his request towards the IBF to give Spence a mandatory defense fight. Hopefully IBF will not turn blind about this.

More like the IBF is unwilling to make their own official announcement on Boots' situation. But maybe it is valid that they need to wait for the WBC mandatory settled first before they can pursue their own mandate. Even though the WBC is clearly not making any sense at all.

And there's also the rival of the WBC when it comes to corruption, the WBA. Although they already have a WBA regular champion which should be an automatic mandatory to Spence, it's still able to issue an eliminator for Stanionis and Ortiz. Which literally means saving Spence or giving him more time before facing another mandatory.
1354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: May 20, 2023, 09:20:35 PM
Additionally, the fact that even young boxers are avoiding him indicates that he is still seen as a formidable opponent.

That's because Donaire doesn't struggle yet against any other boxers at 118 since fighting Naoya Inoue. Just for a recap, after suffering the defeat at the hands of Naoya Inoue on their first meetup, Donaire bounces back on his next couple of fights with an impressive 4th Round Knock Out at both, winning a championship belt and successfully defending it, respectively.

If Donaire won't be able to win against a boxer that's not even on the Top 5 rankings, it's time now to consider hanging his gloves. Not just because he can't able to cope now with the competition but losing this fight will also put him below rankings. If he continues to fight after losing, then maybe just for satisfaction only and extra money before retiring.

But before anything else, I don't think that Donaire will show struggling against Santiago. However, my concern is, the longer this fight is not materializing for real, the longer Donaire will remain inactive in the ring. Next month will mark his 1-year inactivity in the ring (June 7, 2002).

It's a shame that until now we are yet to hear an announcement about the date and venue of this fight. Luckily, corrupt WBC seems to respect Donaire a lot or maybe because the legend is the biggest name in the division right now which means bigger purse and bigger sanctioning fees.

In a perfect world, the WBC will give a deadline for both camps to agree on a deal otherwise a purse bid should happen. And if Donaire is not willing to commit due to his promoter Richard Schaefer then the Thailander which was supposed to be the real opponent of Donaire should be the one to face Santiago. The Thai had a schedule last February prompting the WBC to skip him temporarily. But it seems like he is more ready for a fight in June than Donaire. And I wonder why Donaire and his team are not giving updates. Maybe to cover up his promoter's issue with the US authorities or who knows it's not just in the US but in many parts of the world that are allied with the US.

Donaire already has a limited time left in his career and then here's another obstacle. Aside from him being inactive already for a year. He should speak and tell Schaefer to let the other promotions do the job temporarily.
1355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how exchanges list news crypto tokens on: May 20, 2023, 08:53:40 PM
If you have money, then a token can easily being trade on decentralize exchange by providing Liquidity. Now most of project Spend money for making false papers, afterward get listed on any centralized exchange by fee what they required. I've been seeing such thing since a decade around. There is no lack of Scam projects, scamming us years. Just get listed on exchange with fund, creating hype then sold everything and run away. But some project use their money to being developed  for long term for doing something helpful for world

Which is why people still prefer big centralised exchange when trading. Most scam coins are at decentralised exchange. While there are also scam coins in centralized exchange, they are less likely to be found on bigger centralized exchange.

Also, centralized exchange like Binance and Coinbase are as much as possible to follow government rules. So they will have stricter requirements when it comes to listing new coins.
1356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 20, 2023, 08:30:48 PM
May 20. We have a boxing-filled weekend.

Devin Haney and Vasiliy Lomachenko.
A clash that will be watched by a lot of boxing enthusiast. We want to see who will dominate with all the ruckus they are making in social media.
Here are the odds for the fight.
Winning odds.
Devin Haney - 1.38
Vasyl Lomachenko - 3.00
Winning method - By decision.
Devin Haney - 1.58
Vasyl Lomachenko - 4.10
Winning method - By KO
Devin Haney - 8.00
Vasyl Lomachenko - 8.80

Bookies say that the fight will not end on a KO and a decision in favor of Haney will end the fight. You decide. I am thinking about risking a bet for a Haney KO or a Lomachenko KO because of the heat they showed during weigh-in where Haney shoved Lomachenko and then run.

I'm annoyed at Haney for pushing Loma during the weigh in. Is he trying to become the next Mayweather? Do the villain thing by trash talking his opponents and then try to do something during face offs?

There's a big difference though between him and Mayweather. Mayweather was a KO artist before he became a defensive specialist when he kept moving up in weight and has brittled hands. That shove was probably the nearest thing Haney can do to try to put Loma down. I expect him to run, jab and hug later. Betting odds should have a 15 over or under on thr number of hugs Haney will do on Loma. I hope Loma can bring back his prime years later and teach Haney a lesson.
1357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 19, 2023, 09:40:16 PM
...
much respect to loma though. the promotion couldn't just let the top young guys to fight each other by reasoning no one wants to fight this and that so they just pick the old timer. there's isaac cruz or shakur looks befitting.

Lomachenko deserved his shot because he is the long time WBO mandatory. Actually, Loma is supposedly the first to fight Kambosos if not for the war in his country. Now with all the belts under Haney's waist, he needs to defend them or lose some of them if he fails to follow mandatories. Besides, even beating an old Loma makes your name more popular and credible because the resume is clearly worthy in the Hall of Fame. Teofimo, Haney, and Shakur are the next generation and are somehow proven but their resume needs more achievements for them to follow Loma's path and I even doubt all of them can enter the Hall of Fame when they retire. I did not even mention the names of Tank and Cruz, their resumes are too weak at the moment.

Shakur is most likely next. This undefeated 2 division champion and Olympic medalist will never get ignored and he showed he's got the skills and is better than Haney IMO. This fight might be Haney's last under Top Rank and his last in this division. Top Rank already offered Haney (win or lose) a shot at the winner of Josh Taylor and Teofimo Lopez. So maybe he re-signs but I won't be surprised if he returns to Matchroom especially since WBC champion Regis Prograis is already there. But still, Top Rank has too many big names in the division to offer if Haney is aiming for legacy. Matchroom though despite no other top names in the division aside from Prograis has DAZN which has the biggest money in boxing and it also has Ryan Garcia under Golden Boy Promotions.

As for the other young names like Cruz and maybe Tank as well. Tank if he stays with PBC and Showtime can continue cherry-picking and exploiting his opponents. He might only care for money and not for his legacy. Cruz meanwhile might need to transfer to the other networks if he gets the chance since PBC will continue to baby Tank and will never give him that rematch. Besides, all the belts at 135 are at Top Rank.

1359  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the difference between banks and big whales in crypto? on: May 18, 2023, 03:34:13 PM
Are they really worth comparing because both are too different from each other?

Banks are more focused on offering services to the public. Banks are more like crypto exchanges that cater to a lot of clients and earn fees thru their services. Banks offer interest on deposits and loans.

Big whales in crypto on the other hand are just huge investors and traders. And even some of these whales are directly or indirectly banks. Banks with each wide services and business ventures also have departments that take care of their investments and trades.
1360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 18, 2023, 03:14:35 PM
I know Loma is already past his prime but I really hope that what is left to him is enough to outsmart Haney. I expect Haney to make another boring fight just to secure his undisputed belts. Haney will jab, move and then hug Loma every time he goes near. At this stage of their careers, Haney will be the stronger guy so he might dictate the hugs in this fight.

Past prime ? GGG fought Canelo at the age of 40 (Loma is 35) and lost only 3-4 points shortage. Before that GGG has finished his opponent in dominant way. He was also 35+, basically same age a Loma. I dont think age is a primary factor here. Age can be interpreted as experience here. Like I've said, it is either Loma goes "pedal to the metal" from very start, or will lose by points. I really doubt that among such experienced fighters, fight is going to end by KO or TKO. So it is all about winning rounds. Right now, Loma prefers to lose first rounds and increase tempo, trying to catch his opponent.

It might be a bad idea for Loma to lose early rounds and to do catch up. He should be blasting Haney whatever way he can, and not give him the confidence. Otherwise, it might be difficult for Loma and for sure he will be looking for a knockout to settle their difference. The more I watch the promotion leading up to the fight, it seems that either one of them are taking this fight personally. Haney saying that Loma is not that good guy that he is portraying in public (and I think this is what the Lopez's has said leading up to their fight). And so Loma will really have to show his talent here and not allow this fight to end in the judges cards.

Well, the last time Loma fought, he was not the same fighter anymore. Was it only ring rust or he just declined? Until I can't see the Loma that beat Linares, I consider him out of his prime. I anticipate Haney as the quicker and stronger guy in this fight. I also hope Loma does not give the early rounds to Haney because that kid will be contented with his jabs throughout this entire fight and will move away or hug to avoid any risks.

Fighters aged in different ways but most of them lose their primes in their mid-30s. Conservative styles like Lennox Lewis, GGG, Bernard Hopkins, and Mayweather Jr. tend to last longer than fighters that use a lot of energy when they fight. Guys like Loma, Roy Jones, and Tyson consume a lot of energy and relied on speed so they will be in trouble once their bodies start to diminish.
