1401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How's your gambling experience right now? on: May 09, 2023, 04:00:32 PM
It is hard not to gamble these days since we have the NBA playoffs and other sports events. So most of us continue to gamble mate whether bitcoin fees are high or low. Most online casinos now accept not just bitcoin but altcoins like ethereum and stable coins like the usdt. There are also more altcoins that have very low gas fees. USDT is a good choice since Binance chain has very low fees and at least we are also using a stable coin that will be unaffected by the large swings in the crypto market.
1402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: May 09, 2023, 03:26:20 PM
And in the Akaho fight, he make the weight without any issues so he will be fine now. It's just how he is going to be in this fight as everyone is expecting that he will score a knockout victory here.

He has moved up in weight, so he is comfortable in his current division. Casimero is likely to make weight without any problems, and we are lucky to see him perform at his best again in front of Filipinos. I can't wait to see this fight, and hopefully, our local channels will televise it for free.

Casimero is fighting a non-championship fight, which is quite new to us. We miss seeing him fight for a championship, but it is what it is now. He wasted his opportunity to become an undisputed champion, but we still support him to be successful again, as we don't have a lot of popular Filipino boxers in the world at the moment.

Yes, we do hope that he has learn his lessons in the past, be professional and make the weight. And with that, he has wanted a lot of opportunities, including a fight with Inoue.

Anyhow, even non-Filipinos who has follow the sports of boxing knows what Casimero can bring in the table. He is a former champion after all and he need to win this one in front of his home town as I can see that he is being treated as as hero as well, similar to Manny Pacquiao. This is just another stepping stone for him and if he wins he then definitely he will again shake the division and call out high rank fighters in this division.

Here is the April ranking of the WBO. An impressive win over Nghitumbwa can give Casimero a big chance of fighting for the title next year or even this year is also possible. #1 Inoue is already facing the champion. #2 Aleem and #4 Goodman are already set to face each other in an IBF final eliminator. #3 Nery already won a WBC partial eliminator and is likely to face a final WBC eliminator or he could also become the WBC mandatory right away. This leaves #5 Casimero as the highest-ranked without a commitment to another organization or a scheduled opponent after Filippus.

The WBO and WBC belts though are already unified and the WBC might be the first to issue their mandatory next year. There's also the possible 4-belt unification between the winner of Inoue-Fulton and Tapales which may further prolong the chances of Casimero getting his title shot. But maybe if Inoue wins the WBO-WBC belt and WBA-IBF champion Tapales needs to face the Aleem vs Goodman winner next, Casimero might get picked.
1403  Economy / Economics / Re: What to do with all guy who loss money to stock market on: May 09, 2023, 03:03:35 PM
The stock market won't make stable and passive income. Maybe in a bullish season and a growing world economy, these stocks will generate a lot of dividends and their value increases. But the market will never be consistent forever, it will have its own highs and lows.

I am not very good at assessing the global stock market, but in my country, I am losing hope that I might transfer them all in crypto this year or early next year before the bitcoin halving. Before, I keep on hearing from some local stock traders and investors in my country about the volatility of crypto. But now my stocks are in worse condition than bitcoin and the other top altcoins like ethereum.
1404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Confident Are you With Altcoin In This Time on: May 09, 2023, 02:43:31 PM
I am still confident about some altcoins in the next bull run. At the moment, bitcoin is like 63% of my portfolio which only leaves 37% on altcoins and this does not include my stablecoins. Maybe next year I am planning to gamble more on altcoins, probably at a maximum of 75% of my portfolio but this depends on the outcome. More than half of my altcoins though is in ethereum which is becoming like the bitcoin of altcoins. Historically, only ethereum is being consistent at #2 after bitcoin when it comes to market capitalization.

Just today, I am a little tempted to put some on pepe, the meme coin. I don't have any meme coins for many years already but it's becoming a trend that there is 1 meme coin to belong in the top 20 or 50 every cycle. Before, there was only doge at the top then there was shiba inu. So maybe pepe is this coming cycle's meme coin?
1405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ridiculous Bets that disappointed you on: May 09, 2023, 02:20:01 PM
So far I had no big memories of having ridiculous bets. Maybe during the time when I had a maximum limit of $2k per day and I was not even tracking my net income or net loss? But that was during the time that I was being liquid so maybe that doesn't being called ridiculous.

There was also the time when I thought that I can make gambling a source of my regular daily income which is probably ridiculous enough. It did work though for a few weeks. Until bad luck followed and I started being greedy by trying to bet more in order to cope with the losses and continue my string of profits.
1406  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Emotion and Trade? on: May 09, 2023, 01:53:16 PM
Controlling your emotion is one of the very important characteristics that a trader should have. But aside from this, if someone wants to become a successful trader, it needs to master or be familiar with the many indicators and be updated on the news. Being diligent in acquiring knowledge of the coins before trading them is also another factor since.

Being emotional in trading is a common problem I keep on hearing over the years. It's only easy to say to control our emotions but when we are already in the situation, it is hard to control. Maybe the level of the amount being traded is important in determining our emotions. I doubt we remain being emotional if we are only trading a very small fraction of our savings.
1407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Doge worth investing? on: May 08, 2023, 05:46:27 AM
Doge is still a meme coin although stable at the stop over the years. Still, if OP is looking for a coin that will be 5x to 10x in the next bull run, Doge and Bitcoin remain with the same potential with the latter being safer and more stable than the former. I will pick Bitcoin over Doge although we can also just buy both for the sake of diversification.

I don't have any meme coins in my portfolio right now. Maybe Doge and Shiba Inu are now bigger than just meme coins but the rest of them are just too risky. I would rather gamble in sports betting than risk money into meme coins that are just purely hype.
1408  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you still advised more buy and store? on: May 07, 2023, 09:21:52 PM
At this current bitcoin price of only $30k, there is no reason why I would stop my monthly DCA. My next plan is on the 11th, hopefully, the price will be down a little by then. The price of bitcoin is not even half of its previous ATH. I doubt bitcoin reaches $60k this year and so I guess my DCA will continue throughout the year or maybe even until next year.

This is just a rare opportunity for us. Bitcoin halving only happens every 4 years and that is long enough to wait for the next one. Besides, bitcoin's growth when it stays consistent at the trillion dollar market cap might become slower compared to today and the past years.
1409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 07, 2023, 09:01:59 PM
The Los Angeles Lakers led the series to 2-1. The score of the match is 127-97.
6 players reached double digits in Los Angeles and had a big impact on the victory. In the GSW, Steph had 23 points. The defeat was inevitable as Klay Thompson could not contribute enough score. The next match will again be at the Crypto.com Arena. If Los Angeles wins that game, the series will go 3-1.

Game 4 is a must-win for GSW. But can they really do it at Crypto.com Arena? I am still contemplating if I will bet on this desperate GSW game because they might not perform at the same level when they are at home. There are complaints about free-throw differentials in this playoffs. In the next game, GSW should not stop fighting even after a possible Lakers rally. They also need to play defense in order to limit Laker's offense, especially on AD.

My lone bet for today is on Philly as the team wants to make it even at 2-2. Another must-win situation while the team is still playing at home. Not an easy task against NBA's top favorite team though.
1410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 07, 2023, 08:39:01 PM
Here are the result of my picks for the UFC 288: Sterling vs. Cejudo

Aljamain Sterling VS Henry Cejudo ROUND 5 DECISION - LOST

It was a controversial fight because if you look at the score cards the score was scrambled some judges will give Rounds 1 and 2 to Sterling while the others will give them to Cejudo it was that awful that is why many are crazily saying that Henry Cejudo was the winner Cejudo was rob of the win but it was a total close much, so it was really hard to tell, but watching the fight all over again I clearly see that Aljamain Sterling did win the fight even though the Judges made a pretty much terrible scoring, the right winner is still Aljamain Sterling, I may have bet for Cejudo but clearly Sterling win the fight,

I'm still amazed at Cejudo nearly taking the crown after 3 years of inactivity. The fight was close especially if we give credit to Cejudo's takedown defense. Although Sterling was really in command by landing more strikes and how he managed to somehow takedown Cejudo after his many failed attempts. Sterling is really talented and his Hollywood acting was ready to put on display while on the ground trying to lure Cejudo. And because of that, he gets a bonus in his next fight. Cheesy

Belal Muhammad VS Gilbert Burns ROUND 5 DECISION - WIN

Belal Muhammad had to withstand Gilbert Burns in this fight those kicks for Muhammad may have caused the injury of Burns that shoulder injury Gilbert Burns was fighting Belal Muhammad with 1 hand, and they say even with 1 hand Belal Muhammad isn't able to finish Gilbert Burns but I say Belal Muhammad still stick to the plan, their Corner strategic against Burns, I think he did the right thing because you can not surely say if Burns could play Posum and retaliates,

Either Belal caused the injury or he just made the injury worse or Burns' body is a little soft and not fully healed after his 3 rounds fight with Masvidal. Too bad for Burns, this defeat could diminish his rank. He could have waited at least a month before starting another full training camp. Burns was still dangerous and Belal did well by staying safe in securing his victory and his title shot.

Congratulations to Aljamain Sterling on defending his Bantamweight title against Henry Cejudo, that was a pure class performance by him. And it's time for the upcoming title match between Aljamain Sterling vs Sean O'Malley. This would be a banger, but we need to wait until September. And also congratulations to Belal Muhammad for securing his Welterweight title shot.
Is the next fight Aljamain Sterling vs Sean O'Malley confirmed it will be my favorite fight because I side with Sean O'Malley to take the title from the undefeated fighter, even though it's september but it's not long to wait, other than that we will see another big fight between Charles Oliveira vs Beneil Dariush on 10th june.
Wow! A member of Sean O'Malley's army? Good luck to your favorite fighter. At least, he step up and stopped Dana from continuously feeding him with lesser opponents.
1411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: May 07, 2023, 08:00:35 PM
Are there still no betting odds available for this fight? I have searched different sportsbooks, but I could not find any. I'm not sure of the reason behind it, but it's probably because this fight isn't as popular as championship fights.

The fight is less than a week away, so the odds should be available by now. Since they're not out yet, I'll check again a day before the fight.

For those who don't know where the fight will take place, it will be in the Philippines.

FORMER world champion Johnriel Casimero makes a homecoming after four years as he takes on Filipus Nghitumbwa of Namibia at the Okada Resort Hotel on May 13.

Because this is just like a tune-up fight for Johnreil Casimero. I did notice earlier that Filippus is ranked #10 by the WBO and top 20 by another 1 or 2 sanctioning bodies. So this is not a bad pick at least and this is a homecoming fight of Casimero where it is hard and not cheap to let a world-ranked contender into enemy territory.

This homecoming fight is not very welcoming to the fans that want to watch him live though as the venue is in an expensive hotel-casino where tickets are expected to be very expensive. Only rich individuals can afford to watch this event. But most likely this can be shown live on local television channels for free. I don't have cable and antenna on my tv so I am rooting for the vloggers to show this live online. Cheesy
1412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: May 07, 2023, 07:40:27 PM
The question though is, is Crawford will consider being under again a big promoter? Since becoming a free agent, he never show any signs or hint that he wants to be under again by any promoters.
That's a good question. I think he is just testing to see if he can be successful without a promoter like he used to be. However, if he doesn't get a fight, then eventually he'll have to find a promoter that will help him since he has no other option. I like Crawford because he challenges the best fighters, like Spence Jr., but it's unfortunate that Spence did not respond by signing a contract. So, that fight remains a dream for boxing fans.

He explore with a big risk for his career and so far we don't see any good impact as he still doesn't have any big fight that may bring him
huge amount of money together with a possible belt.

Calling for a fight for Spence but there's no contract signing yet, so I agree that it will continue to be a dream unless Spence will show interest and sign.

Crawford is like turning 36 soon so that 0 is ready to be taken anytime. He better start signing with a new promoter or at least make a per-fight deal for him to stay active if he wants to continue his career. I also heard that GBP is showing interest in Crawford. GBP though has a future big superstar prospect, Vergil Ortiz and this might be one of the reasons Oscar is trying to be nice to Crawford. I wonder if Crawford allows his remaining years to fight highly risky newcomers that are yet to establish a name.

For now, nothing yet as there's no update from both sides, same with the topic here regarding Thurman and Spence fight.
This seems cancelled although not yet clear. Greedy WBC is still reluctant to cancel this mandatory and strip Spence of his belt. What made it even worse is the WBC not issuing a deadline for both teams to make a deal so they can proceed in the last resort which is the purse bid.

Napa log in tuloy ako sa Coins ko at baka bumalik na din yung limit ko. Sa kasamaang palad mukhang nareset ata at nakalimutan ko na pw ko. O baka inubos na nila yung natira kung balance at closed na account ko. Diba 10% per month ba yung ibabawas pag inactive account?

Ngannou might be reluctant to commit this time and keeps adding more demands or prolonging negotiations since he is buying time while Fury's talks are also ongoing. Tyson Fury already ducked Usyk in boxing and until there is no official announcement on his next fight, Ngannou's hopes of an exhibition match remain alive. I read a post somewhere saying Fury was offered $40 million but is not willing to sign since Ngannou also wanted to make it 50/50.
Spoiler alert, Marquel Martin who put together the ring side appearance during the Tyson Fury fight and the person who is responsible for putting that fight together is no longer the manager of Francis Ngannou and he his representing himself in those negotiations and we all saw what happened with OneFC and if there is a betting line whether Francis Ngannou will fight the top boxers, i would bet on a big NO.

Ngannou looks like he does not want to pay the managerial cut for his next fight and hired new people that he can ask for advice for his deals. And Ngannou should stop trying to become a hero for MMA fighters' rights since he is already aging and might lose his golden opportunity here.

Based on his numbers, I don't think Ngannou is worth $10 million per fight. And this is probably the same reason why many big boxing promoters are not mentioning his name. Although this number could quickly change after his next fight's PPV numbers. A loss in boxing though might diminish his value and it is very hard to imagine Ngannou winning against any of the top in boxing. Hopefully, a deal happens this month probably with PFL. I wonder if he will get another One FC $20 million 2-fight type of deal.

Connor already has ownership of the UFC right? I do not know how many stocks he owns but I heard it was given to him as part of his contract renewal. There's a big difference between Ngannou and Connor though in terms of marketability. Connor owns most of the top UFC PPV buys.
Conor McGregor is not having any share in the UFC. He is a fighter and a former champion and that is his relation with the UFC.

Alright, I assumed earlier that he was given a small number of shares since Connor re-signed with the UFC and continued his career some years ago. Anyways, there's just a huge difference between Connor and Ngannou. Only by fighting Fury and Jones, he can probably make 1 million PPV buys.
1415  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you consider moving abroad? on: May 06, 2023, 09:37:06 PM
In fact, it is very common in my country where people migrated overseas for greener pastures. Nearly half of my classmates at high school experienced working abroad and some of them are now citizens of other countries.

I don't mind living abroad for quite some time. And I also considered it before and hopefully, it won't happen again since I really want to stay in my country for good. Because for me, the long-term goal is to always return home. Not specifically in the place where I was born or grew up but at least in my country. When I was in secondary school, I always imagined myself living a silent private life. I also love transferring to different places so being a stranger is not a problem to me. Since the pandemic, I haven't made any vacations outside of my country so I am craving once again to travel and who knows, my mind will change when it comes to moving outside of my country.
1416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin from 2009 on: May 06, 2023, 09:16:27 PM
Sorry, but it seems lost forever. 2009 was already long enough especially since you transferred to different houses. It is really true that we can only give importance to any stuffs when it becomes valuable. It's like a lost opportunity. I remember there were faucets before that are now worth some dollars per claim. If I knew bitcoin would be as valuable as today, I would've put all my money into it.

What we can do now is to take advantage of its price while it is still low compared to its ATH. Still very very far from the 2009 price but at least profit is profit and more realistic.
1417  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Investment: Good Debts vs Bad Debts on: May 06, 2023, 08:05:03 PM
In the world of finance, bad debt has a different meaning. It means the borrower is not capable of paying their debts which may result in loss of money or any portion of it.

Now back to OP's point. I would never advise someone about borrowing money in order to invest in bitcoin. Usually, when we borrow money from banks, they will ask for the purpose. If your purpose is to buy bitcoin, then I can guarantee you that your loan application will be denied. Unless you are rich already with big deposits in your bank account which doesn't make sense or your payroll is big enough to pay your dues.

Bitcoin IMO is a good long-term investment but since we cannot guarantee its future, we should not borrow money just to invest in it. It is not even advisable to invest money that is not extra. And only part of your extra money or savings should be used to buy bitcoin. It is basic to have savings that you can withdraw anytime for emergency purposes.
1418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: May 06, 2023, 07:31:28 PM
Same reason why Crawford made a gamble and left Bob Arum's roof because in that way, his chance to finally make the undisputed fight got more chances because Bob Arum is not included in the said equation anymore. But even after that, it's still too much too ask because up until now, there are no positive signs.

Might be a different story and at least a bit of improvement on the progress of the long-awaited mega-fight between Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford if the latter didn't stay as a free agent for long and found another good-caliber promoter. It seems difficult to organize a mega bout if one of the parties doesn't have any promoter. As a result, the dominant promoter will only dictate the proposed terms and the free agent has nothing to do about it but to just agree, agree and agree just for the fight to happen.

Knowing Terence Crawford's personality, even as a free agent, he is not dumb to just follow the terms for the fight against Spence Jr. to fully materialize. Not unless Crawford is ready to do anything, accept anything, fine with disadvantages, accept a 20% purse split lol, just to build his legacy in the 147 lbs division, the fight will happen easily. But again that was a dumb thing to do for him and it will just make him look desperate.

That's how bullsh*t the sanctioning bodies are at some point.

I'm really annoyed at Spence. I can understand Crawford's sacrifice by leaving Top Rank just to try to make the Spence fight. Crawford is a big talent but he is not as popular and influential as Canelo who went to PBC and face their own fighter with his own conditions. So I agree that it will be very hard to make deals without a big promoter, especially when dealing with PBC. As a result, Bud became inactive for a year and until now there is no solid news that his dream for a chance of becoming the first-ever 2-division undisputed champion (4 belt era) gets materialized.

I agree that Bud despite not having a promoter will just easily agree to all the demands and exploitations of Spence and PBC. If I were Crawford, I will continue the talk with Spence but at the same time, I will also start accepting offers from big promoters. He is secured of his legacy anyways, unlike Spence. Maybe Eddie Hearn of Matchroom can offer him a good contract.
1419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: May 06, 2023, 06:51:00 PM
Chatri offered him $20 million guaranteed and it is a fact that even the UFC offered the highest amount for a Heavy Weight fighter and Francis Ngannou backed out of the deal from the UFC, so money is not the issue. Like i mentioned in another thread there are reports that claim that Ngannou asked for a seat in the directors board in OneFC which is ridiculous and hence they cannot meet those demands and backed out.

Imagine Conor McGregor demanding to be a part owner of UFC because he brings the most views to fight again  Cheesy.

That was crazy I really think what Francis Ngannou wants is life stability for his family I really think he is the breadwinner of the family and they are all looking up to him to get them out of poverty, even though it is not direct money they are talking about it is insane the position he wants would surely still talking about the money he can get after ONE FC approves to his demand and it was really crazy, I really don't know what Francis Ngannou wants but it is not worth it,

If Henry Cejudo was his trainer I really think he still has that quality touch, but both fighters didn't step inside the ring for other fights they only want that rematch, they didn't see what have changed in their opponent which is a good thing, that means the other one got to surprise the other one, but yeah that faints from Demetrious Johnson was exposed to be fixed by Adriano Moraes, if he got a counter to that then this might be a bad take for Demetrious But DJ, could also capitalize with that and have a change of style,

The good news is Demetrious Johnson won the fight even though it was a decision win it was a dominant win for Demetrious Johnson It was a boring fight and it is because of Adriano Moraes he keeps on clinching against Demetrious Johnson so much that he looks like he doesn't want to fight at all, it was a boring fight in my opinion, but the great fight in this event was the Co-Main Event the Muay Thai fight Rodtang Jitmuangnon VS Edgar Juarez Tabares was more exciting than with the Main Event,

I ended up playing on my phone rather than concentrating on that fight. But at least DJ closed their rivalry with a 2-1 win-loss record. It was Morae's fault as he seemed clueless on how to handle DJ and so he rather stay safe by clinching. And that was probably DJ's last. What an amazing career. Now it's Cejudo's turn to make another historical record. Not a big fan of Cejudo but I prefer him to win over Aljamain.
1420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 06, 2023, 06:09:19 PM
Personally I do hope the series between GSW and Lakers will go in 7 games because so far both teams are playing amazing basketball with a slight advantage for Lakers in my opinion.

Tonight , 76ers vs Celtics should be one hell of a game with Embiid probably being able to play and he is coming after MVP trophy and I'm expecting 76ers to win. If Embiid won't play...then Celtics will finish this series pretty early.

I hope it would really go until game 7 then Stephen Curry will be a monster again, but surely Stephen Curry was really drained after game 7 against the Sacramento Kings I really want to say this on game 1 for the Golden State Warriors VS Los Angeles Lakers, Stephen Curry doesn't have enough time to recover for Game 1 while they don't have any answer against Anthony Davis by that time, so I think it is fair to say that the Warriors can win that Game 1 aswell if they have a not fatigue Curry, but yeah if this match will go the distance until 7 games for sure the Warriors will still win this,

There is a high tendency that this series will be decided in game 7. Both are competitive and have the potential to win. I'm still giving GSW a slight edge here as its players are more experienced compared to Bron and AD's teammates. The negative impact though if this goes to game 7 is the fatigue factor especially since Bron is already nearing 40 and Steph already came from game 7 against the Kings and is in his mid-30s too.

I always love upsets and I am hoping Philly can do it. But in order to do that, Harden and maybe Maxey needs consistency in order to help Embiid. There's just too much talent and experience in this Boston team. Jalen and Taytum are still very young and yet they have so many playoffs experience.

I only have 1 NBA bet for today, -5 Miami. This may be the safest since GSW can be unpredictable as it tries hard to steal a game in LA.
