421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gambling and Invest in gambling. on: November 14, 2023, 07:26:39 PM
It's still not quitting gambling if you are still up to making money in gambling-related stuff such as providing loans to gamblers, you are still gambling though you call it invest in gambling. The gambler who loses his capital again after taking a loan will have no chance of paying the loan. OP will only profit if he loans less than 50% of the real value of the collateral.

There are some other ways to invest in gambling, like creating your own online casino. If you have the funds to loan to gamblers, I think you can use the funds to instead build a reputable casino.
422  Economy / Economics / Re: Boycotting iSrAEl's product? think again. on: November 14, 2023, 06:54:06 PM

To be honest, I want to see the CEO of Nestle die in a horrible way, that company is the most evil company there together with BlackRock, Vanguard, Raytheon and Lockheed Martin.

These companies are investing in both sides and countries that produce military ammo and weapons for war whoever wins, these companies win whichever wins.
It really shows which superpower leader of this world is up for peace and who is actually supporting the war. We could really stop this without having that boycott which is the same as sanctions that don't work.

Israel doesn't have gas and oil, if they are to sanction the country, it's the gas/oil that they need to stop sending to them. But then are we not also making them suffer if we boycott these products to them? The hate will only grow faster.

424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a peer to peer method less popular than as an investment on: November 13, 2023, 07:33:37 PM

People today will consider BTC as an investment as its inherent use case of BTC. It doesn't really matter how a person will treat Bitcoin, they may look at it as a tool to gamble online or simply to send payments off the grid, whichever it is, its adoption of BTC.

If you mean peer-to-peer in a decentralized way where 2 people make transactions with no platform in between, humanity has lost trust in each other.  Grin That's what's happening. Face-to-face transactions would be possible but still risky.
425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your parent disinherit you eventhough you have not proven to be chronic gambler on: November 13, 2023, 05:43:04 PM
This is not you OP, right?
Don't take this personally if it were you. Parents love their sons and daughters no matter what so if they hated their son until their death, something must have happened before this gambling affair of their son.

I have no idea about inheritance law actually. But if you can change it based on the law because all kids as far as I know can have something for them from their parents, if not a house at least an old car.  But if there really isn't something you can do then the lawyer fucked you.
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin's Price Surges and Drops Unexpectedly on: November 12, 2023, 06:59:54 PM
There are certain news created  and we don't know about its reality and reason that why people are originating such news but these news alter the whole situation of market. Other thing is that people often move their desire according to the news so if they are positive then demand for bitcoin increases and when they are against people desires then they change to buy during that period. Information about coming halving is a thing which move the whole crypto market to react in a positive direction so people are willing to buy more and more therefore price act as a linear way of success. These are the reason that decrease and increase the cost of bitcoin and indirectly the cost of other coins.

People are vigilant with the crypto news, they know how volatile the price is even with news from a tiny country adopting crypto.

The bad news always brings the price down. This thread was created when the price was still 30K and then dropped to $28k as OP complained. They seemed manipulated because they knew iBTC was listed and then it was claimed to be fake and then later on they were saying iBTC was already listed long ago.
This news and confirmation detail confused traders to sell their BTC. They know it's going to happen and making traders confused about what is going on makes uncertainty in the market.
427  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Start now or later? on: November 12, 2023, 06:00:34 PM

Can I just insert my question here as I'm just as I'm also interested in mining but am unaware of which one and whether it's still profitable.
Unlike OP, our electric grip is stable but because it's going to be costly mining, I would probably choose to build a wind turbine or Solar for my power source, this however couldn't support mining BTC since the ASIC devices will need more power. Is there an altcoin that I can mine with just these sources of energy?

I will probably start when I get money after the bull run and if feasible. Seem a good idea to me.
If you are talking about mining on video cards, then look at any calculator to understand that it is now unprofitable.
https://hashrate.no/gpus
But for altcoins, many different ASIC models have now also been released, and ASICs have a faster payback period.
Wind and solar energy are unstable, and you will need a stable source of electricity.

Aren't the miners these days using green energy?
It's been claimed that more of the Bitcoin miners are already using Solar and Wind because of ESG compliance? or I must have read the wrong articles.
What if you live on top of the mountain or just along the shoreline, I think the wind turbine works well in that kind of area. It will keep turning day and night.
And with just the right kind of battery, I think it can sustain. I just have not seen anyone doing it though.
428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use bitcoin when gambling? on: November 12, 2023, 05:34:40 PM
Seeing how bitcoin's fees have gone up a lot, I would assume that with the plethora of options for cheaper transactions, people must be using other options much more. Some might even prefer to use conventional means such a debit or credit cards.

Whatever your preference is, feel free to express why that is and also answer the poll (optionally). It's for research purposes only. Cheesy

This is only applicable for those user who stored their Bitcoin on exchange or not a Bitcoin holder naturally but as a Bitcoin holder, I still use Bitcoin to gamble since I need to still hold it while gambling so that I will not missed out the pump. A 2$-3$ fee can be easily recovered through a single bet and it’s really inconvenient to send my token from non custodial wallet to exchange just convert it on token that has cheaper fee.

I believe many user still use Bitcoin to gamble if they are a natural Bitcoin holder that is gambling regularly since the high fee is not that high to the point that it almost cover most of the balance on the transaction.

I see many of us must have stopped sending BTC because of the high fee. Crazy that it won't adjust automatically, there should have been a system for this because this happens every time the price of BTC goes high.

But even before the high fee, I have been using altcoins in playing on casinos. From Doge to TRX it's always a good option to make use of them whenever the casino accepts them as well. Among the altcoins, I prefer Doge though.

429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]Adrien Broner vs Chris Howard (Welterweight) Nov 4. . on: November 11, 2023, 05:10:07 PM

I was confused as well because I hadn't seen any updates in social media regarding this fight and I want to see Broner fight again because he was an entertainer and an arrogant boxer I really like to see him lose Grin Cheesy

By the way, if he only not get carried away and became arrogant both inside and outside the ring, people would really want to see his comeback fight but what can we do, that's just how he is and he has more talk than punches throughout the rounds.
He always defends himself with his blind alibis whenever he loses a fight, this habit will be stopped when he gets knocked out I hope Howard knocks Browner out so he can stop his arrogant behavior, his been staying in this business for too long raking up too many losses, I don't think he has a chance to win a title the welterweight champions Ennis and Crawford are on top of their games and they they are on peak of their career it will be suicidal for Browner if he dare faced these two champions.

It sometimes pays to be one of the most hated cocky boxers of this time. With his behaviour he still can book himself to fight despite how he got crazy in the McDonald's store. Broner is already suicidal, if I remember correctly he also wanted to fight Mayweather, he called Floyd for a fight.

The posts above say this fight was moved to Dec 2 as co main event of Ryan vs Duarte. Broner still has it, he also fought earlier this year. He is still 34 I think he still can fight at least to make money.
430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Andre August - December 15th in Florida on: November 11, 2023, 03:12:59 PM
A 35 year old club fighter who has fought mostly guys with losing records is the type of opponent I would expect a young novice fighting 4 rounders would fight. Jake Paul has been a pro long enough that he should at least be fighting some fringe contenders. There are plenty of faded eastern european former champions with some name recognition that would be more suitable opponents.

They are trying to spin this in a positive way by saying that Canelo and Crawford fought guys with really poor records in their ninth fight but the comparison is ridiculous because those guys were very young, Canelo was only 16 in his ninth fight. Loma and Inoue already fought multiple world champions in their ninth fight but they don't make that comparison because it's obviously stupid.

Jake isn't trying to build a legitimate career. He is cherry picking an easy opponent with the hope of getting a highlight reel KO and perhaps people will be dumb enough to fall for this farce that it will convince them to throw $80 down the toilet next time he fights a has been UFC fighter on PPV.

No one said the work was supposed to be hard. Thats also a good point just to be fair to Jake. He was just enjoying his time at Disney when he was 16 while petting Selena and Ariana Grande.  But when it comes to making money with his fights, the guy is a genius and I suppose anyone could give it to him because even the big names are already coming forward following his steps.

He should be asking Pacman, that guy is legendary and very sportsman who will still be fighting as long as people watch. As old as he is though he is very quick still with his jabs.

^ Would you marry an MMA fighter if its up to you?  Grin

Jiri is a very careless fighter compared to Alex. Though he won against Teixeira, he really displays the worst kind of fighting style that gives a lot of opportunity for Glover.  if during that time Glover was in his prime, Jiri would have lost it.  Countless times Jiri just rolled down and then Glover stayed on top while Jiri was mounted.
He doesn't even keep his hands up. Doing this mistake just a single time with Alex and he will terribly be lying flat in the first round.

434  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know how to use Fundamental and Technical Analysis on: November 10, 2023, 03:31:40 PM
Technical analysis traders are the ones using the charts to read where the markets go even in a short time frame relying on indicators. When they understand the use of moving averages and all, they combine what they learn outside the chart that affects the prices which is the fundamental news.

ETF approval news is like fundamental news. I think some of those TA guys who are shorting after it went down to $31K were burned when suddenly another ETF news comes. Fundamental news must be useful for those insider traders.
435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What impact does the BTC price have on your gambling habits? on: November 09, 2023, 03:16:58 PM

Lesser I spend in gambling because holding my BTC is already a win knowing that it just touch $38k. Its gotta be fomo that makes this prices going straight up.

Maybe I will postponed betting on some matches already or stop for now with the matches that I'm not confident whether I'd win. Give more time to watch the market because it already felt like this rise had reached its peak. The real gamble is whether to sell or not.
436  Other / Meta / Re: People commenting on the first page without having read the previous posts. on: November 09, 2023, 04:47:59 AM
It is the race to be on the first page of the thread since it is often the only page that is being read. I'm not sure if the campaign participants today are being mandated to be on the first page of the thread but I'm not gonna be surprised and advertisers would like that.

I think OPs of a thread are to lock the thread whenever it reaches a certain number of pages and his question is answered already. If anyone does have anything else to say, he can create another thread for his issue.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Releases Web3 Wallet custodial crap on: November 09, 2023, 04:15:55 AM

Yep they already have the Trustwallet. CZ is getting crazier but maybe they don't want users to withdraw their coins because they'd gonna end up having no coins left if all the users withdraw from them. Coins are getting out from their exchanges because of the P2p.

No seed required means shit. I think in the next cycle they will also fall like FTX, this is desperation. If they don't cheat from the stakers I think the altcoin stakers will not remove their coins from them.
438  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will it Hold? BTC Targets $40,000 on: November 09, 2023, 03:46:34 AM
In fact, what is happening in the market today is still very unpredictable. In my personal observation, it is really possible from this month or before the end of this year that Bitcoin's value price will start to play between 40k and 60k at the beginning of 2024, which will actually remain and continue to bullish trend. This is what I actually see.
Today the price of Bitcoin has risen again beyond $36K which is likely to go to $37K in the market, so there is a chance for Bitcoin to be at $40K this year if the current price increase continues. I was also quite surprised to see that Bitcoin was no longer difficult to increase this month when generally this year there is only more than a month left from now.

Quote
Let's really take advantage of the opportunity until we are not in a real situation where it will be really difficult for us to keep up with its rally when it starts running to move forward, and when this happens, as the value moves forward, the rise will be faster for sure.
Now the increase seems to be faster and no longer difficult, I'm even confused as to why it continues to happen this month even though it has marked a price improvement that many people really want from previous months. Bitcoin holders should be quite happy about this price increase as the fruits of their patience have arrived and are clearly visible now.

With the rate of its growth, it might just be $45,000 or more before the year ends.  Patience in the bull market pays off. Very crazy market because just when I thought of buying back the ones I sold last weekend because I expected the price to dip, it continued to go up. Whales want the traders to get burned with their decisions.
It's only $4k to go to hit that $40k OP's target.
439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Andre August - December 15th in Florida on: November 09, 2023, 03:27:49 AM
-snip-
People always hoping on boxing influencer win

Influencer boxer, is always challenged or fighting a fighter with a few years off from boxing. It's always like that, since the opponent not fighting in a few years and jake still young + has good stamina.

If you not hear it, I guess the stunt marketing is not started yet ~XD

Well, these influencer boxers are considered as amateurs, so it's normal that they will take on fighters that haven't fought for years to get that 'even' footing in the fight. To me, it doesn't sound so exciting, as I've never heard of the guy. Probably just Jake Paul and his team's marketing to keep the momentum on the Jake's side - striking the iron while it's hot.

Probably, but it seems that Jake Paul are into boxing, I mean he is fighting professional boxers. They might not have a good record, but still if Jake doesn't have a good training, he could lose here as Andre August could still have the skills to overcome if Jake comes here flat and believed on the idea that he can just steamroll this boxers.

This will probably have a mediocre viewership count. Only a handful of people has heard of the guy, and the public is slowly noticing that the Paul brothers are just challenging opponents that are way past their prime, or someone who hasn't even achieved it. They're just really that good in marketing fights that's why they're still profiting from it.

Admit it or not, there are still fans that is willing to watch this kind of fights and that's why Jake Paul and his company are continuing to make this kind of fight. It doesn't make sense if they are into this business without making money. He put up his own company just to get everything legal in my opinion and as I have said, to generate income for him.

Jake Paul's profile says American professional boxer and he should be ranked in an org like WBC or WBA but he isn't anywhere in any of the boxing organizations. He picks his own opponent either an old retired UFC fighter or an inactive boxer. He made a mistake fighting Tommy though so he wouldn't make such mistake from now on. The fact that it's his promotion and he pays for these guys to fight him, he should be winning.

Paul is making boxing a joke, no one ever heard of Andre August til he announced this fight. For all we know he just paid this guy in advance $50.000 to sleep whenever he do his signature move.
440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: November 08, 2023, 03:26:50 PM
Not sure if this was already but avoid playing if you are drunk, this will be a disaster waiting to happen especially when your fingers are fat. I think there is already a thread about someone who was drunk and he seems to have nothing to do so he plays in an online casino.

In the physical casino though they are offering liquors to those guys playing, I guess it's not such a big deal. It's to the casino's advantage to get their visitors drunk and enjoy being there while losing money.
