It is absolutely true that we were running promotions that were not working (acquiring new players) and that were not sustainable in our current financial situation. However, the company is 100 percent solvent and our number one priority is to protect customer funds.
Not one mBTC of customer money is ever used for operations, marketing, or any other purpose. All customer deposits/winnings are segregated and totally secure.
The sad truth is that we inherited a piece of software that hadn't been properly vetted by the prior management before the unfortunate events early last year. We have been way too slow to admit that. We've made tremendous progress in correcting the uncountable bugs and glitches that existed from Day One. Much more needs to be done, and we are doing it. We can't give a timeline, because we dont know how long it will take.
Despite that, we believe we have a more than functional, working product, that can compete with any site that is now operating. That, coupled with our legitimate rake cuts should eventually increase traffic. Once that happens, we plan on ramping up rewards again. So Krill will remain a viable, lifetime reward. Last month’s cancelled 1,000 Chip 20k Krill Freeroll has been relisted on Saturday July 16th.
Our silence has ended.
Would you submit to an audit by a trusted member of the community to prove that what you are saying is true? Anyway, what you are saying is true (except the marketing part...you don't seem to do any marketing). Your site CAN compete with any site currently operating (sans Stars). If you run and market it correctly. Literally nobody wants the site to do poorly. Everybody is rooting for you. Unfortunately, your track record is poor so you have that to overcome. Please please please hire a poker room manager and a marketing manager who can get people onto the site and stay on the site. Your site has a ton of potential but you are dropping the ball in a big bad way. As a private, very closely held concern, we don't share our business plans, financials, or other proprietary information with anyone. However, if there was even a scintilla of evidence that we were not solvent, or not paying withdrawals in a highly timely manner, we would consider an audit. We have excellent poker room and marketing staffs, we just didn't let them do their jobs properly until now. That is all part of the changes that started with the rake reduction. We botched the Krill Roll, now we're making that right. It all starts now. My last recent withdrawal was processed in 30 minutes. Thank you. In regards to promos may I suggest something that makes players login and/or play everyday or at least frequently. Low rake is good but in and of itself does not cause people to login and play. Internet poker has been around for almost 20 years which is how long I have been playing it. I have seen what works and what doesn't. There was a site that you could play virtually rake free and it went nowhere. Yes times change and every situation is unique. Wishing you success.

If you think it, it´s ridicully cheap.

You buying or selling? ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Get rid of the zero just to the right of the decimal and I will sell 1 Monero. The rest I will hodl. Fair warning, I'm giving this only 4 more years.

there's a storm coming which is called halving. Something is going to happen, I don't believe this trading volume will happen much longer
Yes, but it may not storm immediately. The day of the first halving was uneventful. It took a few months for the real action to start. I'm sure by the year's end we'll see the effects of the second halving. This , but there may be a short mini -pump right after the halving because nothing bad happens and market uncertainty is squashed. Than Segwit will be released and as the miners start to adopt it before BIP 9 activation we will see the start of the next large bubble. The time to buy is now before that mini-pump. Take profits , than re buy for the real bubble. I don't trust my fat fingers and will just keep placing orders to buy those dips and spot prices. Is it April yet? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

It´s a pity poloniex dont allow to short all the new p&d coins. Easy money running throught the sewers
OTOH, seems we are headed to .0024 before resume the calm bull trend
More often than not, you are correct. Sorry, I bought a little @ .0025, which tends to do depressing things to the price.
Why do I get the sense that you two are the same person? I have no idea. To me there is no way they could be the same person. I don't know what qualifies as either a lot or a little but I did buy recently but at >0.0025 Working 60-80 hours a week doesn't lend itself to timing the market especially when not using an exchange.

Hueristic is our resident skeptic and if you look at recent postings ITT you see that his skepticism includes the core devs. This is a good thing even if it sometimes seems a bit over the top.
Knowing nothing about you I also had a similar reaction. I don't know what you are used to in regards to compensation for your contributions. Here many people volunteer their time, skills and Moneroj to develop and improve Monero.
If somebody wants to be compensated for doing work they can write up a proposal and post it on the FFS (forum funding system) of the Monero website. It is up to the community to determine if the proposal is something they deem worthy of funding. The funding is through voluntary donations.

I'd love 3k Bitcoin though. I'd skip everywhere instead of walk.
It's amazing how fast you can travel by skipping. More fun than running but less control. In anticipation of 3k btc I bought some today. I can only buy when I have fiat and more often than not that coincides with an increase in the price of btc. Then again btc has been increasing for almost a year now.

site appears to be down, or at least, I can't log on.
Yes it's been down for almost an hour. They tweeted 35 minutes ago that it will be up shortly. Edit: And they're up again.

With 189 players connected, SwC Poker is currently a bit smaller than Seals was. Blame it on the windoze ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) anyway, when we build out our platform and fix our bugs, these games will fill up. Remember table starter rakeback is on for all games, 6max+. Playing 2 or 3 handed gets you auto-50% rakeback, so that is a proper incentive to help me start some games until we have all clients & the affiliate program. I respectfully disagree. I do start tables and so does "whodisis" but there is not much interest from others players to join. if we can get going one table for the particullar stakes,it's a good result and it will fell apart usually within hour. 189 players is about 1/2 of the players that played on old Seals, but the number of players on ring games is not even close 1/2 old Seals cash games players. Aso I don't think windoze only is responsible for so big drop. If you reinstate old krillrolls, I bet most of the players who played them on old Seals will come play the krillroll and then go back where the action is. (not on SWC) The result will be SWC slowly bleed bitcoin reserves, because SWC will not collect enough rake. I believe "whodisis" has a valid point and you should give his idea serious consideration. Try it for a month and see what happen. I am not suggesting krill race, just something like 1 weekly krillroll for anybody who collect 100 or 200 krill for the time period. I know your main focus is still on a software, but give it some thought. It seems I was right. Any advice that you posted always seemed spot on. Seals was the reason I found btc more than 3 years ago and for that I will always be grateful.

The krill rolls did not seem to bring people to the tables. Most people that played the krill rolls played nothing else.
As has been stated by a few people, that money should have been used for promos that would bring players to the table.

The full quote is.... "But we're not there just yet. We also have to realize the risk of loss in BTC is 100%. We are cognizant of that and have allocated our capital to BTC accordingly."Yes but what is the percentage that it will lose 100%? I think it is too small to even consider.

Emissions steadily declines and one year from now it will be 60% of what it is now. Each 2 minute block is approximately 11.7 Monero now vs 6 in 12 months.

Buy low sell high. That's the way to make money with Monero.
That is not only true about Monero. It is true about any market. Many people however do one of the following: 1) Buy high, hoping to sell higher, and sell low. ... and my favorite when it comes to Monero 2) Sell low, hoping to buy lower, and buy high. I am pretty scared now and so should you. Scared about what? There is no need to fear. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) The price agains btc is dropping now. I am scared of the fact that my holdings might increase. Another long bear market 'til September? Suits me fine. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) 3 months doesn't seem long to me and I don't know about bear, but..... 3 months ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) Disclaimer: I am clueless ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) ION; price is getting tempting for me. Not as entry as I would have to have exited, but as more. I have diversified by buying btc recently, starting with a bunch in the low 400s and continuing till now. I have some btc earmarked for Monero from another source.

![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif) FML I was this close to getting out at $780. But noooo, I had to be at work on Friday only to find out after I get home the price had plummeted below $700. This action is like a sick joke, taunting me. Oh well, I waited a few years, what's another few weeks (assuming the halvening affects the price positively)? You're delusional if you believe of a rapid price change on the day of the halvening Just like passing the event horizon of a black hole you will feel nothing yet what will happen afterwards is inevitable. I thought you'd get burned up by all the light that's suspended there that cannot escape? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8bhtEgB8MoSean Carroll is amazing. It's almost 90 minutes and I've watched it twice. Cryptography is even mentioned in the first minute, hi Alice and Bob.
