Everybody, get ready for a massive dump, because I just bought back in. Somehow what I do always makes the price do the opposite  of what is good for me.

I thought it was all about me and you're saying it's all about you Tongue

anyways I'm ready for the dump Undecided

I know the feeling. I was up briefly yesterday and chose to hold just before it crashed. Then when I didn't choose to buy the price went back above what I panic dumped for. I should have taken my meager profits when I could and brought back at 200 but I thought it was going lower instead of bouncing off it.

Perhaps I'll take LFC_Bitcoin's advice in the future.

The reason btc is the easiest market in the world to trade is because so many people trade it who don't have a clue what they're doing.

Experienced traders capatalise on this and are buying when you think its going to dip lower and are selling when you think its moon time.

If you don't trade anything else just buy and hold, all you do by flip flopping is give your money to the sharks.

But you said it was going down into the 100s and there I wait.

I just listen to the voices in my head.  It has worked so far.

I was late but after I sacrificed on the alter we have stabilized, at least for a short while.

Worked like a charm.  Btc up,  YW

Although I may need to put a btc address in my signature in the future.

I speculate that it will be very unlikely to be able to purchase any appreciable amount under 230 in the future.

In case anybody had any doubts this is proof I am clueless and hence why I don't trade.

Unfortunately I was unable to get any on this dip but as always I'm looking forward to the future while being here now.

Have been away for a couple of days and just catching up, 40+ pages.  Why I don't know, slow day at work.

I am powerless so I'll just wait for whatever happens.

Don't think I can do any buying for a couple of weeks so you guys get to have all the have fun!
1209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 21, 2015, 05:47:40 PM
Liquidity has come back. That is what I like to see. My general expectation is for USD Price floor to rise inversely as block reward declines, until DNM adoption increases currency use.  Being the most liquid privacy-enabled coin in the universe makes the selection of XMR a no-brainer.

The base block reward at the moment is 9.004
When is "halving day"?

I was a bit more patient this time and was able to buy a few more bricks under 230, 212>228.  This completes my basic Monero house.  I speculate that it will be very unlikely to be able to purchase any appreciable amount under 230 in the future.  I would like to build additions to my house but that will have to wait a bit.

I am currently at my mountain house and for the first time I have internet access for my phone Smiley
I have no doubt that both technology and Monero will continue to improve such that using Monero in any way will be easy.

Just memorize the seed, if you can't trust your own brain/soul who can you trust.

This reminds me, I lost an unknown amount of Monero due to amnesia. Tongue

I'm leaving my house within the hour, maybe I get hit by a bus Undecided

My vacation house has a water saving toilet.  I choose a simple and unique design.  I have had no issues with tissues or other items although I have not tried fiat.

Yes there are bad designs available.

So what is the proper design for a bitcoin block? Grin

Someone mentioned "hodling" them for a year, and then selling them @ half price, but I don't get why anyone would want to do that.  Why not just flush half of your money down the toilet?  Or would it clog do you think?

My toilet is from 1927 although I have only been using it for 22 years during which time it has never clogged.

I was a bit late to the party so my avg price was $32.  I was forced to sell some ~$600 and yes a year later they where half price when I bought them back and more as well.  I have no idea what my avg is now.

Quick overview of recent changes to master since last time:

Payment IDs can now be encrypted. Those are now 64 bit on the blockchain. Integrated addresses are changed to use these (so integrated addresses generated before that change are now invalid, in case someone tried those from git). Full size plaintext payment IDs are still possible.

Input selection now uses the triangular distribution (prefering newer outpts). Previously this was only used for the old blockchain format.

A couple fixes to possible behavioral differences between old blockchain and new blockchain, which could have caused an inadvertent fork on corner cases.

A new rescan_spent simplewallet command, which queries the daemon for the wallet's outputs spent status. This is intended to fix the need to rescan the blockchain when a tx does not go through after being accepted by the daemon. Note that this command leaks info about which outputs you own to the daemon, so it is not to be used if you connect to a third party daemon.

And the usual set of random smaller fixes and tweaks.

Hey it's probably getting pretty close to time for MoneroMooo to get his first paycheck right? Thanks for your hard work.

First paycheck has been delivered!

https://forum.getmonero.org/9/work-in-progress/334/fund-a-developer-moneromoo-will-work-part-time-on-monero-for-260-hours-over-approx-6-months

Yesterday 4 pull requests from monermooo were merged.  Today 3 PRs merged, one of which was from moneromoo. Smiley

I would love it if we could clone moneromoo but being that is difficult to do maybe more paid devs are possible if this is indeed the way things should go.  I understand that moneromoo is/was very generous, Thank You Smiley
