@Moneromooo : could you eventually post binaries for the updated cpuminer? With that (and working Phoenix bins) I think I'm all set for the forking party  Grin

Assuming you mean Windows binaries... No, I don't use Windows.
Otherwise, I'm not sure there's much point.

Will there be windows binaries?  Is it correct to assume that without them I won't be able to mine?

Yes the vanguard member of the drooling masses has arrived.

Release Phoenix

Nice job smooth, thank you.

Win 64 binaries for the AEON phoenix 0.9 release

I built those binaries myself and tested them briefly.

As always, use at your own risk.

Because of reasons, I deleted the version I downloaded a week ago and downloaded this binary.  Because I am clueless I just started to sync from the beginning again.  It should be ready when I wake up tomorrow.

I see there were some minor issues with this build.  Is it ok to keep this version?

Do we get table starter rakeback on OFC?

Also... for today... if anyone wants to play me OFC headsup at 5, 8, or 15 chips a point for 3 hours straight, I'll give them 10% losses back if I win.

Let me know.

What does "OFC" stand for?

I haven't been buying any Monero lately.  I have been "diversifying" into btc by buying.  After accumulating some btc I started to get itchy.  I withdrew what crypto I had on Polo before their KYC changes went into effect even as minimal as they were.  I recently bought some Monero using ShapeShift.  Very easy.  As has been stated you can't buy large quantities but that's not my style.  I build my Monero brick by brick.

I am getting an increasing feeling that there is only one person with tor involved in XMR, which would make it the biggest scam in the history of mankind

Give me what you are smoking buddy Roll Eyes

Go to monerotalk.org please

Go to gemonero.org please. That is where the fun is at.

Oh, and take a look at the cool new task and funding system embedded in the forum. Perhaps then you'll be able to understand why this team doesn't release half-assed solutions just because you think its past time. Wink

Hey papa, I think you meant getmonero.org

That's probably what the dinosaurs said about that  comet in the sky.

I ain't being bearish, just realistic. I don't see how anything with a 4 billion dollar or so market cap can be considered any type of player in world finance or truly reactive to events. It might be a sentiment indicator but even that's debatable considering how warped this market is.

If it was 100x bigger then we might be talking.

+1000, you totally nailed it gentlemand.  It's the reason why the U.S. banking industry scoffs right now at Bitcoin, as the banks do more $$ volume in a 5 min period than bitcoin does in a full 24 hrs.

We have SOOOOOOO far to go, and even at 100x, bitcoin would still be an ant-sized market.

So Adam's $32,000/Btc is ant sized Cool

I've tried to check back in to swcpoker.  I find only a windows client available that I have to run as administrator.

I've played a lot there in the past.  But I have no first hand knowledge about what is really going on there.  This is not an accusation but only how I think:

The last news I had about Micon he was facing prosecution.  While I think this is wrong in every way, it still triggers a honeytrap alert in my mind.

I hope my fears are wrong.  And I'm really writing this in hopes that someone will prove they are.  I want to play!

I'm so sad that there is probably no way to prove this.  But a safer client might help me assume the risk.

Micon has already made a deal, he is no longer facing prosecution.

As far as honeypot, why would it be given the fact that whenever the USA goes after any gambling site they never go after the players?

You should go green and get rid of your Honda generator...solar is cheap on ebay!

Don't think I haven't thought of it.

There are several reasons why I haven't, primarily a lack of direct sunlight due to a thick tree canopy, and the constant risk of theft and vandalism when I'm not here.

I can't leave anything of value that an adult would steal or a child would vandalize. I had to replace all my smashed glass windows with Lexan MR-10 years ago and I'm on my third CRT monitor. I can't believe someone actually stole one. The other was smashed with my splitting maul.

My Honda and my Stihl have luckily escaped vandalism so far (touch wood). They're secured with locks that would require cordless abrasive disc grinders to cut and having my name scribed deeply into every surface (including the engine blocks) presumably keeps adult thieves at bay.

Civilization is a thin veneer and when you get far enough away from watchful eyes it disappears completely. I've also considered various monitoring systems but haven't found a suitable one yet.Hidden battery-powered motion-detecting spy cams with large SDXC storage are my closest try so far.

It's a constant battle.

There is theft and vandalism in Canada Huh

In 30 years the only thing that has happened to my summer place was being broken into once when some kids broke in thru a door which was secured by something resembling a lock.  They only took some camping equipment.  USA by the way.  Also in forest canopy and can't be seen from a road or any other house.  My neighbor that looks after it has guns Grin

HAHA, we finally got a selfie of trollypop w/ her entourage. Seriously tho, did Adam get his computer taken away by the wife again or is he on vacation? Dude is abandoning his own thread when things are starting to heat up.

He posted a few days ago that he is on vacation and will not be posting.

If you're not all in RIGHT NOW, you're doing it wrong.

I bought a few days ago @273 with the last of my fiat.  As right now might be my last chance to get in <300 I scrounged a wee bit more and just bought at 296.  Good thing the end of the month is 20 days away.

And no I haven't been converting btc into anything else in a while.

It would be nice if there was an audio alert when a seat opens up while on the waiting list.

Yes, this. I asked for it over a month ago and was ignored. It's gotta be one line of code to implement.

By your request, we have shipped this feature in our latest set of client updates. Cheesy

This works nicely, thank you. Smiley

I did not check out your links but ltc was being "promoted" as a ponzi.

To get in you had to buy 500 ltc.

Have you seen the ltc charts today?

So we want to market to the masses, wonderful.
To do that you say we need an official GUI, ok.

What good will that do without a tagged release of the DB version of Monero?

How do you know it has a top speed of 180Km/h? Grin

It was already above 270 yesterday.  I had my remaining fiat burning a hole in my pocket and with little time and not even looking at the charts I hit the buy button at 273 Tongue

Yes but you were using the example that you bought things with ltc and not XMR to illustrate the usefulness of ltc compared to XMR. Tongue

it would be clever to roll some of the gains ( 25-50% ) back into XMR in the 0.50 USD neighborhood.

Do you see XMR getting a slingshot effect from the current rally of 1st gen altcoins (LTC/NMC/PPC etc)?

Of the alts listed on BitcoinWisdom those are the 3 on BTC-e Cool
