I haven't owned a toaster for 20 years and have no plans for getting one.

I'm sorry. But how can you live without a toaster?? Serious question!

Nice avatar!

There have been many different rhythms to my life the past 20 years and very few of them required toast.  White bread gains the most by being toasted and I don't eat that.  Presently I'm out of the house before 5AM without eating breakfast.  My gf doesn't live with me, that is the biggest reason.

Anon coin on non anon exchange.  No thanks.

What do you recommend?

I was unaware of increased withdrawal fees as of the 20th. I guess I'm going to withdraw all my Moneroj as I won't be selling any time soon.

Febo: how much will withdrawal fees increase tomorrow?
SweetJohnDee: Febo, None, that I know of Smiley

Are you sure there will be increased withdrawal fees?

All i heard was that you will need some more verification to withdraw bigger amounts.

Just confused when I wrote that Tongue
If one doesn't want to provide more info then your withdrawal limits are smaller which could result in multiple withdrawals and therefore more fees.

Obviously not a big deal @ 10 cents for up to $2000 but somehow 0.2 XMR still seems significant.

In other news I'm not getting the withdrawal emails so I haven't been able to complete my withdrawal.  I've never had a problem before.

To those asking where is my GUI,

Nobody is more computer illiterate than I, but with motivation due to my belief in the project and help from the community, I set up Monero and have been using the command line wallet with no issues.  I have a node running on my anemic machine as I type this.

This should be standard operating procedure.  Two words:  Mt. Gox.

Did you notice my "personal text" under my activity?

Not sure what that is... but my comment was not meant as a criticism in any way... just a reminder and encouragement to us all.  Leaving crypto on exchanges is risky.  When we know were are not trading...  we should always be pulling it off.

Does it seem familiar now? Smiley

It is a very valuable fog we wander around in here, now in the present.

I did not take your post as criticism but as good advice like always.  I first experienced you on a different forum where your posting was also excellent.

it was mentioned in the Polo trollbox that the KYC info was only for those trading on margin.

If anybody has the definative info it would be appreciated.  It is difficult to check from work and I've been here 15 hours already.

The GBTC market closed at 50 dollars per share with volume of 2756 shares (less than 275 bitcoins).

The volume was lower than Thursday's 2844. It remains to be seen if Friday's high volume was an anomaly.
I don't know why you put it like that, the volume today is only 3% less
Well, it was roughly the same as on Thursday. The point is it was much higher on Friday: 14807

thanks, it would be helpful if I knew which day it was Tongue

Time is flying...

Anybody well versed with TA could give a TA opinion on current situation? Aren't we breaking a downtrend as we speak?

So according to the most basic TA it will go to zero Grin

When it then goes below zero who do I owe money/btc to Huh

I'm not even sure if you're being serious. Refer to the bolded part of binaryFate's question and don't be so asinine.

Of course I wasn't being serious.  Sorry, as you obviously are and have been consistently.  Serious without being self serving.

It was these qualities of your posts in the btc speculation thread last year which are a large part of the reason I decided Monero was something serious.

Thank you Smiley

Nope.

This is what goes passes for capitulation for me. I'm out of fiat. out of leverage. Might lose everything in a margin call. Pawn shops are closed and I just bet the mortgage money. I'm just a spectator now. Good luck, Gentleman. I did everything I could.

how did I get here?

Who reads old stuff like this? What was the price back then? Good think I got a few paychecks since then.

In Bitcoin, running out of cash is like farting in church. Poverty is a sin.

but if you buy bitcoins with all your money you have no money.  is that still a sin?

Is traffic down compared to the original, or am i mistaken?

Yes traffic is down because............

Currently there is only a windows downloadable client.  No browser, no android, no linux or mac.  Also this was their beta software so it has been trial by fire squashing bugs.  It's fairly usable now without too many issues.

Other platforms are being worked on and I believe the android is next to be released.  Maybe a month give or take.

The Krill thing sounds great~

Unfortunately, once again, everytime I go to load the client, it says it needs an update, but the update doesn't work.  It either loads it and then installs it and then nothing happens, or it loads it and nothing happens.

have you tried uninstalling and then downloading?

1357  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 05, 2015, 08:55:49 PM
I was just thinking... like, if everyone in the world wanted to have just one Bitcoin, how much would my bitcoin be worth?

if everyone in the world wanted just one  bitcoin, how many would you want?

As I am one who is part of everyone the answer would have to be one.
1358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 05, 2015, 03:55:49 PM
And Monero falls even further, what is going on?

People losing faith in monero. There is already no official GUI since over a year now Undecided

An official GUI is not necessary. All we need is the database fix, and the third-party GUIs will do just fine.

database fix is here. Its happening. So...... ??/

Not for idiots like me. Tongue  Thanks for your effort but I have had no time to try your Windows DB fix.

I can still use Monero Smiley

I bought a nibble today as I have been at every drop since 300.

I still haven't figured out how to sell it.

As refreshing as it is to read these pages "sans tarmi" -- this relentless rise in price is somewhat troublesome for me. I was hoping to have another chance at sub-250 CAD.

Perhaps this post will jinx it all and I might have my wish?

"As low as possible for as long as possible"

 Tongue

1 month ago the price was higher
2 months ago the price was higher
3 months ago the price was the same

Does that make you feel better? Smiley

You should listen to Wary when he talks about hypocrisy. He's an expert.
Right. I've seen so many commies, that can be considered an expert in them. Smiley Although not all of them are hypocritical bastards. Some are well-meaning self-deceiving guys ("useful idiots", as Lenin used to call them).
