1381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 22, 2015, 09:55:01 AM

Do you guys really think that it can go under 0.0024?

Absolutely.
It is not even very far away... Looks like the 0.00265 Fib has been broken so it is doomed to go lower.
Short term is bearish... Mid term still bullish and long term bearish.
I hate to face the reality as it is but this is the current situation.
I was anticipating new ATHs soon but it didn't come so down we go.
The good thing is, when the price declines, the community gets more Moneros for their bitcoins so patience is the virtue here.

What do you mean by "long term bearish"?

From last year. We are still sub 0.0111 which was the ATH.

I thought when we are speculating about the long-term being bearish we mean in the future not the past.

Were you really anticipating an all time high from this last uptrend? Grin
and because it did not hit an all time high which was virtually impossible, now its going down? Tongue

Hopefully we have a strong uptrend after the summer.  Sorry fluffypony, northern hemisphere bias. Smiley

Do you really think that listing suspected colluders in a public forum is the proper way to handle it?

Even if they are most likely colluders, do you think listing them here is the proper way to handle it? ahem Tongue

Of course I hate colluders but please think this through.

How do sites with experience and integrity handle these situations?

Publicly outing suspicious behavior has long been an important staple of online poker forums.  That's how the UB superuser scandal was uncovered, how several bot rings were uncovered and obviously numerous individual colluders were uncovered this way as well.  Even Stars, with a game integrity department that numbers in the hundreds, has people who monitor online forums looking for people discussing potential malfeasance.

Not sure why you think naming people who you think are playing suspiciously is a bad thing.  What's the worst that could happen...they stop cheating?

They cashout before their ill gotten gains can be frozen and confiscated.

As far as the UB superuser scandal, that was an inside job.  People within UB were exploiting the software to steal from the players.  You can't use that as an example because here we are asking the site to looking into players colluding.

Yes the community needs to be vigilant but listing names of people that may well have done nothing wrong is not the way to go about it and if they have done something it's not the way to go about it until other avenues have been tried.

DOn't kid youself, betcoin has horrendous collusions probems right now at all meaningful stakes. I am boycotting that site until fruther notice until this is rectified.

Also the player pool is tiny. Its always the same group of scumbags that collude/CHEAT nitely. The real fix is to get a legit user base. A few hundred people logged in at time is quite frankly, a total FARCE.

Beside to reporting them to support you might also start posting their usernames here.

Just start callling them out here, it would be appreciated

Please call them out here so that we can look into this promptly.  Also, what is your username so that we can help you further.

Too bad the software is broken.   I was enjoying it for those couple of weeks it worked.

I understand people have been having problems but for me it has worked since day one.  Windows 8.1
1386  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetVIP.com - BetVIPpoker.com - NEW LIVE SOCCER MATCH VIEWER! 100% Dep. Bonus! on: April 18, 2015, 08:12:39 PM
Is the deposit bonus automatically credited or is there something else one needs to do.

Has the issue of needing to post blinds in any position when you are move to a new table in a tournament been fixed?

Hi Niroc,

The deposit bonus is released in 10 mBTC segments as your earn cash game points. When released, the bitcoins will be credited automatically to your account. You don`t have to do anything except play in the cash games to earn cash games points!

I was not aware of the issue you have raised, I will send this to the developers asap!

Regards
Jessica

A 6 handed tournament table formed from two 3 handed tables can result in 5 of the 6 players paying blinds. Tongue

Again I know of no other site where this happens.

Any word on this?

NO BUT 100% USE a different BITCOIN address when you transfer from YOUR block chain. LF site always issues a new address each time you click on the cashiers page and it automatically generates a new address and you can confirm it by refreshing screen. You don't want to make is real simple since all transaction are public.

If you buy from coin base which most USA people do PLEASE have a BUFFER E-Wallet, example transfer from CB to Blockchain THEN to any gaming sites bc CB will seize your account or make not allow you buy anymore coins. Always get new address!

Great to give the tips because that is a shame coinbase has turned into the bitcoin police and will seize funds that they really have no right to that gives them a bad name imho. In short that is stealing isn't it? I only use blockchain.info and electrum to send to gambling sites luckily won't have them stealing from me..

They will close your account if you send to or receive from a gambling site but I have never heard of them taking anybody's btc.
1388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Mining on: April 18, 2015, 02:34:14 PM
When i start using Minexmr.com i got 2XMR day with 1.50-2khs speed. Now it give me a 0.500 for 22 or 24 hrs. why this happend?

There any good pool? If i have stable 2khs speed, what is my daily gain?

Varience!

They should find a block every ~2hrs.  It has been 8 hrs since they last found a block.  Yesterday they went 17 hrs to find a block.
The day before that they had 2 blocks found after 22 & 26 min respectively.
And the day before that they found 3 blocks consecutively in 25, 22 and 5 minutes as well as one in 10 hrs.

Nothing abbynormal and it all works out in the long run.

Happy Birthday! donation sent of 50 Moneroj

PM sent to cAPSLOCK

Copy and pasting the donation address in the OP results in a space as shown below.

46BeWrHpwXmHDpDEUmZBWZfoQpdc6HaERCNmx1pEYL2rAcuwufPN9rXHHtyUA4QVy66qeFQkn6sfK8a HYjA3jk3o1Bv16em

Copy and pasting from the https://getmonero.org/getting-started/donate/ page results in added info besides the address.

Edit; Slow as usual.  On getmonero I was right clicking and copying which caused the error.  Highlighting and copying works.
1391  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: [ANNOUNCE] Electrum - Lightweight Bitcoin Client on: April 17, 2015, 01:19:08 AM
So what is the process to re claim your old wallet if say your computer crashes and all your files were deleted?

sounds unrealistic. What failure would have caused this?

For example a fire in your house.

Whatever happens all you need is your seed.  The joy of Electrum Smiley

I have my seeds saved in several secure locations so no matter what happens my btc are safe.  Even when I die.

How do you add chips to your stack while sitting at a cash table?
1393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 16, 2015, 10:22:41 PM
OK, so I don't know if this is OT or not but here goes.

What's your opinions on BTC next stable price? I will have to be buying in again and obviously want to grab BTC as low as possible as it's nothing more than a vehicle to XMR for me.

Disclaimer:  I am clueless Grin

I think btc is near it's low now.  A couple of days ago it seemed the majority was expecting a long squeeze with prices dropping below 200.  On Monday I scraped together some fiat and bought btc @225.  Then when people started talking I scraped a little bit more together in case there was a squeeze even I thought it probably wouldn't happen.

Today the btc I had on Polo vanished Shocked
I did however find more Monero there. Cool

Tomorrow is the 18th somewhere in the world.  I will donate a small amount to the devs in celebration of Monero's first brthday Smiley
I expect the DB (the idiot proof one Tongue) on the 19th. Kiss

1394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Something big for Bitcoin coming April 15th on: April 15, 2015, 02:52:32 PM
I know you've heard it before from other people trolling for attention when they don't really have anything. But I'm NOt TROLLING.

There will be something big on April 15th, I'm sure most people get the significance of that date.

Until then...

It is morning now, I will let you all know this afternoon.

The two key things have to do with this:
Quote
NOt TROLLING.
(I did not mess up the capitalization)

and this:

on April 15th

Fill your cold storage wallets with bitcoins now while the price is cheap.

Elwar is selling all his coins and he wants you all to buy them with no slippage.

new poll
"Even if there is a long squeeze price will bounce back to:"

i vote >220, because if there is a long squeeze at this price, i see that as the final move of the bear market, and then the only way is UP, so immediately coming back to 220ish then starting a gr8 never ending bull run, makes sense.

I know it's included in >220 but I'm surprised 32,000 wasn't an option. Grin

you guys are kinda schizophrenic Tongue
1396  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Wall Observer - the Quality TA Thread ;) on: April 15, 2015, 10:11:17 AM
There will always be a new, freedom-loving frontier. It's not America anymore. It's here. It's called the internet.

Space.  The Final Frontier.
Yeah, but no decent restaurants.

Good point.  By the way, where do people think Earth is if not in space?  You will not find a better place.
1397  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 14, 2015, 11:16:53 AM
Will it break 209 resistance by morning?  Very possible.

I don't know what time zone you are in but it is morning for me.  The low overnight was 218 on bitfinex.

On the other hand I haven't a clue, have been too busy to follow closely.  I didn't buy on the dip from 245 to 235 but couldn't resist 225.

I have averaged up and my avg cost is now zero.  It doesn't look like I'll have much fiat for a couple of weeks. Sad
1398  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 13, 2015, 11:36:22 PM
leveraged long at 225. another dump unlikely.

get ready to get margin called in 3 hours.

It's been 6 hrs. oh great prognosticator.

Edit:  Still at 225
1399  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 13, 2015, 07:04:08 PM
They say if you predict that tomorrow's weather is the same as today's you will be correct more often than the weatherman.

I still could not help myself and bought a small amount @225.

1)  There really needs to be an alert sound when the action is first on the player.  If I am browsing the forums I may not notice when the action is on me.  The alert sounds maybe 15-20 sec later (I did not time it)  Also related is the table isn't forced to the front when the action is on the player.  I see no option for this like on most clients.

2)  There is still the issue with high CPU usage.  It seems to happen when I open a second table.  With 2 tables open the PC client was using ~65% of my CPU.  The tables don't show in the "Apps" section of the task manager but in the "Background processes"

I am using Windows 8.1 with a modern Pentium CPU.
