Hey,

we've been at Geneva's Bitcoin Meetup yesterday and gave the following presentation on Monero, privacy and fungibility:
http://www.slideshare.net/arnuschky/monero-geneva

We got quite positive feedback on it, and might team up with some guys here to build the first Monero ATM Smiley

Great presentation, thank you.

I know somebody who is asking for more info about Monero and this is perfect for him.

WARNING - these are not "official", as in, someone from the core dev team didn't compile them and gave them the a-ok. I'm putting them here for testing purposes. I compiled following the instructions on the github. Perhaps they are static? Perhaps you can run the LMDB version of bitmonerod on your win 64 box and only use 50 megs of ram?

https://mega.co.nz/#!5YNACDTJ!N0pIow27_Tfsx4dMfMq4HA11ZSlEt7L135HvYEOuBU8

perhaps you can swap in the relevant .exe files from the above into the /resources/software/ folder of MoneroX you can have a monero GUI on windows 64 that sips RAM like a fine wine?

AGAIN - don't trust these. Test them until you trust them. Make sure they do everything they should do. I tested them on the box I compiled on and another windows 7 box.

Hopefully someone will post the data.mdb download link.

( removed the converter thing)

wow, no takers? I thought "the drooling masses" would be all over this.

Did I hear my name? Smiley

I'm on a break at work now but will be off for the next 2 days.  If you will be available to help then you can experience first hand what being a member of the drooling masses truly is Grin

So are we going up or down? What's the PROGNOSIS?

Market likes to take the route of least resistance. I probably don't have to tell you which way that is.

Sideways!!

But for how long.  No more fiat for ~2weeks Sad

I know the question posed was Do girls use Bitcoin but I have found credible info that women do.  Not just use but lead.

i cant seem to copy and paste my bitcoin address into withdraw field
is something wrong with the client, there's no way im manually typing it in there
Also huge problem why does everyone who gets reseated in tourneys post big blind immediately ,that's absurd

I brought up the tournament blind problem a while back and they said they were going to bring it to the attention of the software people.  Having heard nothing I asked again about a week ago and received no response.

I have no issues on the client, I could copy and paste my btc address into the withdrawal field easily.
If you could not do it, means that the problem is from your end.

Since I have the same problem I guess it is also on my end Roll Eyes Tongue

stupid cultists get out and leave speculators/gamblers who just wanna make money alone
thisiswhywecanthavenicethings.jpg

I am struggling to see your discussion about the orderbooks or price action in this post which started this all off.

It was a reaction to the posts above which essentially were "yes I'm in the red, I'll never sell my Bitcoins and if that doesn't work out I'll go down along with it."

I would like to know where you got 43% from?

its for sure 2 chips at a time i left my account empty one day and the next morning i had 2 chips so its not instant but must be less than 24 hours

well I got like 2000 points in rake and got nothing from bonus still shows same amount after several days ( 14 days now) according to their rules I should get like 50chips but got 0 also their platform is crashed all the time sorry there are good things about it but these negatives moved me to another site :-)

I only noticed receiving a deposit bonus payment because I keep accurate records of my sessions.  As notserp said it is paid in 2 chip increments.   I just started playing after stopping for many months.

1. In MyWallet on the right side is "Bonus Balance" The Bonus money Total stays the same and Bonus money Freed shows the amount accrued but doesn't indicate what has been paid.

2. Wallet>Financial History, my deposit bonus payment is losted under "payment method" as Manager's discretion and under "description" it is listed as Transfer from BetCoin_associate to (me).  That was how it was over a year ago when last I cleared some bonus.

Bought the real estate with silver when it was $100 an oz and now silver is $15 an oz.

Now what do you think happens?

If the price of btc or silver goes up then what, they owe you? Huh Tongue

Edit: That was a philosophical question?

I wonder how much of the transient fickle voice in Monero threads represents the whole picture.  And don't get me wrong.  I am not badmouthing those who are selling.  It's their money.  Who am I to tell them what to do with it.  And I am not just talking about the bears.

It seems the emotional tides roll in and out so much with relatively small (in crypto terms) price movements...  10-20% one way or the other and suddenly people are talking about buying yachts, or staging funerals depending on the direction.  Others think these people are trying to manipulate the markets... I don't really buy this.  Maybe so, but they don't seem very good at it.  I follow their claimed trades and they tend to be on the losing end if they are telling the truth.

But I feel like for every 1 of these very vocal personalities there are X people like me.  Not terribly concerned with price.  Interested on being on the front end of a +EV bet from an "investment" standpoint willing to lose most of it, and also interested in the unique technology behind the cryptonight leader.  And desirous to help in some small way to serve the community.

What do you think X is in that equation??

X=10  (Based on not much)

Time to sell all xmr? ;'(((((

Yes i would say so Undecided
Today i have sold my last xmr.
Sorry guys, but i think we are still in a downtrend

Right on cue Cheesy

The last XMR I bought was today.  Have never had more.

Dear Devs,
When might the drooling masses like me who use windows expect the DB?  As there is little I can do to help I have once again donated a little something this past week.
1377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 24, 2015, 10:08:18 AM
I had just read the main Monero thread before this one and when first reading TC's last posts I thought he was primer-, their avatars are similar.

I appreciate the other contributions here.  I have been buying at the current prices and it seems I now need to buy more btc.
1378  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 22, 2015, 03:00:36 PM
I voted $260 on the poll based on nothing but feel as usual.

I looked at my purchases for the last 5-6 weeks and boy do little nibbles add up.  So I say to myself that is it for now.  Nobody listens to me including myself and I just nibbled @235.  It seems we are going up at least for a short while.
1379  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: April 22, 2015, 02:44:20 PM
Does the site has freerolls? If yes, what are the prizes?

Yes.  The number of freerolls per day varies.  Today I see 11 running from now till midnight Eastern US time.  They are 5 or 15 chip prizepool.  1 chip = 1 mbtc

If you can run windows you can download the client and check it out Smiley
1380  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetcoinPoker.com Betcoin.ag-Mobile, Tablet, Web, Client-Million Dollar GTD-8/2 on: April 22, 2015, 11:22:48 AM
DOn't kid youself, betcoin has horrendous collusions probems right now at all meaningful stakes. I am boycotting that site until fruther notice until this is rectified.

Also the player pool is tiny. Its always the same group of scumbags that collude/CHEAT nitely. The real fix is to get a legit user base. A few hundred people logged in at time is quite frankly, a total FARCE.

Beside to reporting them to support you might also start posting their usernames here.

Just start callling them out here, it would be appreciated

Please call them out here so that we can look into this promptly.  Also, what is your username so that we can help you further.

Do you really think that listing suspected colluders in a public forum is the proper way to handle it?

Even if they are most likely colluders, do you think listing them here is the proper way to handle it? ahem Tongue
From my perspective of player ...I will be happy to read names here  Wink

So I may have a special attention if facing them at tables (expecially if more than one at the same table at time)

I suspect hopenotlate is colluding, or maybe just a bot Cool
