461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy on growth on: November 11, 2023, 03:05:22 PM
Hi all. How to buy more when growing? Today we are growing, but I don’t want to buy. Share your experience in this matter.
No risk, No gain --that is what you should think OP. You can never earn success from here if you are not able to take risks. Better understand that there is no perfect timing for accumulating coins whether it is during the pump or dump. However, investing in crypto should be on our will, it should not be forced or something that makes you buy because someone has told you to do that.

It was your decision to decline the opportunity OP but just to remind you that we are not in a bull run. We have this pump but there is more pump coming someday and if believe this, then buying at the current market situation is still a good opportunity.
462  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies don't leave your coins in an exchange on: November 11, 2023, 02:14:40 PM

This reminder is something that we have been seeing over and over again here in the forum, but because of transaction fees some people prefer to leave their funds in an exchange so that they can get easy access to their coins, which is bad. I think that it is only traders that needs the exchange most time and not we hodlers. I will say that you should see an exchange as an enemy to your bitcoin, maybe this will make you get scared of them.
They just want to save from paying huge TRX fees but the security of their funds has been ignored putting their situation at high risk because whatever will happen to the exchanges, they will also suffer the consequences and might not be refunded. Though we can say it was not a good idea but I admit that I've done this before. Well, maybe I was trusting the platform that I'm using and it is quite different from using new exchanges. Therefore, before leaving our coins in a particular exchange platform, we are also aware and are ready for whatever will happen.
463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 11, 2023, 01:01:15 PM
It's good to see RHJ back and leading the team into a good margin, with a help of his team of course they can have a good chance to start a winning game here. TNT is a title contender, with their line up right now I'm confident that they can match the top teams and have a good run too. All they have to do is to be more consistent and sustain that good team work, good to watch PBA again after their long break.

Yeah, it's good to see RHJ back and right night they are ahead by 6 points with 3 minutes to go in the fourth quarter. RHJ did not score heavily here as he's got only 14 points but he got a lot of help from the locals, especially from Calvin Oftana who has now 18 points in the game.
And this game went to OT but TNT still manage to win the game, however, I think Converge the handicap here as it was only a 3 point win by TNT.

Oftana score 19 but Castro got 23 points here, big night for the old but goodies the blur.

I've read an article today that TNT has terminated the contract of Mikey Williams, so this means that he will no longer play for TNT or in the PBA, to say the least.

Good for him, he would not come back in the PBA anymore as he is so demanding, he shoud show his talent somewhere, probably not in the Phiilppines.
464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 11, 2023, 11:36:28 AM
And the Clippers continue to struggle, they aren't even losing via close margin.

That's 3 in a row with Harden on the team, I guess this team will esily lead us to being a winner as despite their struggle, bookies still believe in them making them a slight underdog but heavy favorite sometimes, so let's fade them everytime.

Luka Torch them with his 44 points.  Smiley

Ya, the Clippers have problems… Not like anyone thought Harden would be a good addition for them. So far all he’s done is get Kawhi into a strip club…
That flashes back in my mind again, Kawhi is a silent guy but he loves to go to strip club.  Smiley

yeah this one - https://www.youtube.com/shorts/2zNXDB1TSdU

LeBron came through with a really efficient game to outplay Durant in my opinion and get the Lakers a win. I wasn’t expecting that, but am glad to see that the Lakers are capable of playing good basketball. LeBron also became the only player in NBA history with 5,000 turnovers.

Getting a double-double with very efficient shooting is the kind of LeBron we're used to following. Perhaps he was fed up with the three-game losing streak. But I appreciate how humble he is because he still praised Durant in the post-game interview.
465  Economy / Economics / Re: AI will put an end to work, says Elon Musk on: November 11, 2023, 06:32:35 AM
During an uncommon interview conducted by UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, the tech billionaire Elon Musk predicted that if AI is not regulated, there will be a time when no job will be needed. This means that AI tools would take over the entire work of men making paid jobs become reductant. He even claimed that humanoid robots might be a perfect friend for one of his sons who is having difficulty in having friends. I have always believed that regardless of how sophisticated these AI tools become, they will never replace humans. But hearing this prediction for an individual who has a full understanding of the AI sector is frightening. Elon Musk owns an AI company, xAI, that is competing with big AI firms like OpenAI, Google and Anthropic.

These comments can increase the fear and anxiety workers always had that these super-computers will replace them in future. What are your thoughts regarding the statement by Elon, do you think we should take him seriously?

I thought the same too. AI has definitely had a big impact on IT professionals, and there are no longer any doubts regarding this. And we are expecting this soon too. I cannot say it's possible to build a positive or negative impact, but I am damn sure that not only tech people are afraid of this change but also people in other fields like editors, photographers, artists, writers, etc. Even though AI is still not widely approved, we all know it's no longer the case all the time. I don't know how worse the scenarios will become when we replace human effort with AI, but I hope we can regulate every technology in a useful manner.
The developers will bring robots into the field and let them work like humans, that sounds unrealistic but yeah, it can be possible as well. However, this won't make everything change or to say, these robots dominate humans but humans are still dominating in terms of knowledge and skills. I couldn't expect a scenario dear because these robots are quite expensive as well and only big companies could afford to have them. Might they acquire but not all could be replaced by these AI. Until now, it is just imagination, could be true, or could it fail?
466  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Must Read: Scams disguised as premium signal groups/channel on: November 10, 2023, 09:56:55 PM
...

And those who are greedy and are already hunger for profits will eventually bite this kind of offer. But still end up losing their trades because what they paid do not really work, even if they say that work for those who provided them.
Perhaps, that was a problem for many traders, they easily fall into the traps of scammers because what is in their mind is all about money neglecting that is can be possibly a scam project. I was very certain that the scam would never end and they will come up with new and effective ideas that even experienced traders may fall into their hands.

The only option and I know is it quite effective to avoid them is not to trust strangers who offer help as it is their tactic to gain trust and then execute their plan. We have anticipated it before we fall into their trap.
467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the Choice of Investors on: November 10, 2023, 09:38:32 PM
Bitcoin had simply gained trust from the community making it their first choice over altcoins. For some reason, we can tell that the existence of Bitcoin is somewhat making cryptocurrency very known to us and this is represented by Bitcoin. In fact, I ask some people about crypto and they answer Bitcoin, meaning what is in their mind is all about Bitcoin. Well, that is somewhat a sort of impression but yes, Bitcoin deserved to be the choice of many knowing how safe and profitable is this project.
468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Andre August - December 15th in Florida on: November 10, 2023, 04:58:13 AM
So, after Jake Paul's impressive performance against the popular sports personality Nate Diaz, he chooses to fight an unknown boxer? It doesn't make sense because if Jake Paul wants more money, he should at least look for a tougher opponent, someone decent that would get the fans' interest. What's his goal here? Is he just trying to boost his win record?

I think he should go for a rematch against Tommy Fury, the boxer who beat him via split decision. That would be more interesting than this reported fight.
469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 10, 2023, 04:40:37 AM
That’s why I stayed away from betting the Bucks today. They should be able to easily beat the Pacers but they’re just not playing good basketball right now. I can’t bet on them until they get some sort of an offense together. Giannis is the most dominant player in the league but giving him the ball and hoping he can dunk it every time is not a good strategy.

It was evident because Giannis got tired towards the end. He's not a superhuman, and that's why he needs someone who can help him, and that someone is Lillard. Unfortunately, Lillard was out in that game. The Bucks have been pretty predictable this season – if it's not Lillard, then Giannis is the one carrying the team. Players like Middleton and other high-paid players on the team probably aren't contributing at the level expected of them.
470  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: minimum amounts to buy and sell a coin when trading on: November 09, 2023, 09:59:30 PM
Hi what are the minimum amounts to buy and sell a coin in the safetrade exchange and in other exchanges? I wanted to start using the safetrade exchange but there is no info on minimum amounts...just wanted to deposit the minimum amount to start testing the exchange
Better use a reputable platform rather than make use of this new exchange.
Well, for me, I made a start with a capital of $50 but guess it was enough. However, if you think about earning a huge profit from this amount, I will tell you frankly that it won't. Because this is the truth, small capital will only give you a small profit but if you put a huge amount, the possibility of earning more. I said possibility it is because it won't just depend on the capital itself but also, the strategy we are using as well.

Better make a good understanding of safetrade exchange, don't try using this if there is doubt and uncertainties in your mind.
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin (DOGE) Pumps 10% As Elon Musk Links Memecoin To X on: November 09, 2023, 09:29:21 PM
There is nothing to wonder about because it normally happens to Dogecoin once Elon Musk gets into some announcements and mentions Doge, its price rises automatically. It is just like a magnet which is my many people can't leave this project believing that while there is Elon Musk behind, Dogecoin will give them profit.
Well, unlike other meme coins, Doge seems different and with the help of the community, this project remains known in the crypto space.
472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 09, 2023, 01:54:50 PM
The first game features the Bucks versus the Pacers. Both teams are playing on a back-to-back, but the Bucks have to travel for this road game. The Pacers are the underdogs with a +3 handicap, but the Pacers has been playing pretty well with a strong offense, scoring 134 points against Utah and a whopping 152 points against the Spurs. I know the Bucks are a tough team, but I like the handicap here, giving +3 to the home team. I hope it's a close game, even if the Bucks end up winning.

As for the second game, I'll pass on that one for now, but if Pacers lose, I might consider betting.  Smiley
473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you guys believe in other people luck and try to copy them? on: November 06, 2023, 01:13:14 PM
Why do we have to do it and want to spend money to believe in other people's luck when everyone has their own luck, you can also get luck on your own bets by betting with your own money and at your own risk, to be honest, I personally wouldn't trust it. myself to copy other people's bets because we won't know someone's bad luck, even if they are good at gambling, it's still a bad way.
As a sport bettor there are occasions I go blank on options to choose for my predictions and I'll just decide to copy someone else's game which I have been lucky to get a win from those copied games many times I have done so. And copying games doesn't mean it has to be same individual it could be a random person all what is important is that pray it be someone that the day is his lucky day to get a win, because you can copy games from legendary gambler and still loss.

Copying games isn't bad, just don't make it a habit not everyone would want to share their games and if people gets to know you as a game copier they would keep distance at the sight of you.
Nothing is bad about it but yes, we can't just be fully reliant on them instead, have our own judgement. We can pray for luck but never assume that it will come otherwise, all gamblers will be praying as well. After all, gambling needs more luck with a little knowledge and skill. Because even in sports betting, not all strong teams wins always, they sometimes get unlucky and lose the games, and those bettors will lose as well. I've got this example just to note that gambling guarantees nothing no matter what we do.
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 06, 2023, 12:12:36 PM
Though no odds yet but i have my eye on Blackwater because Converge has lost their key players to SMC teams.

Isn't Blackwater like a farm team? Even though Converge released two key players, I still think they're a stronger team than Blackwater. So, I believe the quality of the imports on both teams will make a big difference. The team with the better import will likely win.

I expect this game to be close, so I might consider taking the handicap for Blackwater because I think they'll be the underdog.
475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever been a gambling addict? on: November 06, 2023, 11:40:30 AM
For those who are able to hold back and not regret his actions, then I admit that person is not a gambling addict.
That will happen if you know how to control yourself because addictions just happen if we let our emotions/feelings control us.
I was thankful that I'd never been into that situation but honestly, it was very close during my early days in gambling where I was about to chase my losses. I'd realize the impact of such thinking because I found out that the more I gamble, double or triple my bets, I'd never have the chance to get lucky but instead, I lose more.

Good thing that some of my friends give some advice otherwise, it is a huge possibility that I fall into addiction.
476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the best advice or should I just let him on: November 06, 2023, 05:12:41 AM
I'd like to ask the community I have a newly moved neighbor he is a widowed senior citizen and he lives alone with a house helper, all his children are now professionals and he is a pensioner, we talked a lot about many things  I just noticed that he is very active on online casinos and other gambling activities like lotto and cock fighting every weekend, his children do not know his activities and I'm afraid he is getting addicted.

Should I give him advice on how to manage his gambling activities or I just let him since he is just enjoying his senior years and doing things that he missed doing when he was still young? and what's the right approach, we all know senior citizens are sensitive to criticism.

Knowing that he is very active in online casinos and gambling, I thought that he was already addicted to gambling.
I'd see his situation as all about making himself enjoy instead of getting bored alone. In fact, his children are professionals already which means that he never worries about their future aside from pleasing himself and doesn't bother to tell his children because probably they will stop him.

You either tell him not to really get into addiction or neglect his health but suggesting he will stop gambling, it surely doesn't work.
477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tricky situation for Altcoin investment on: November 05, 2023, 09:49:29 PM
We all have to understand that investing in altcoins is riskier than investing in Bitcoin but most newbies fall into altcoins because of false information and promises by these scammers folding their money many times. Perhaps, it was really tempting and those who are greedy will certainly jump into it assuming that it was true but too unfortunate that after a few days of buying, the projects turned to scams and developers became inactive.

Altcoins are cheap --which is another reason why many investors choose it instead of Bitcoin. Yet they never know the possible end of their investment.
478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching Bitcoin is not do or die on: November 05, 2023, 01:47:18 PM
this is why we should not force someone to learn the world of crypto. let them go into this market on their own accord and time. but if they are interested to learn more, they will be the one who will find ways how to enrich their knowledge on this market. also, they will know the risks involve as they won't stake their money without doing their own due diligence.
Is it even possible to force a grown-up adult to learn something that can better their lives? Inasmuch as I don't see the possibility,  I do not also consider it necessary.  Knowledge is important and personal, and anyone sacrificing his time and energy to pass Knowledge to others should be appreciated. If there is any form of force in the learning process, the receiver of the knowledge will not even appreciate the knowledge neither will there be any importance placed in it.

The best approach should be that the receiver of the knowledge being convinced of the importance of the knowledge, that is the only way the knowledge will be appreciated and beneficial.
We can't force someone to listen and learn about Bitcoin as it never has good results. Learning about Bitcoin is just for those who have an interest and eagerness to know more things about crypto. Even in our family, I was sure that not all supported us, some were very opposite and disagreed with what we were thinking.

I could teach and am willing to discuss someone who asks and approaches me but I never say to them to rely on me alone instead, I encourage these people to go online and do research. Why? Because many things can be found that I miss to tell them.
479  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A more scientific mindset is necessary to avoid scams. on: November 05, 2023, 01:05:53 PM
We don't need to have a scientific mindset to see if that project is a scam because it seems easy to spot this if you are not a greedy person.
 - they offer instant and big rewards
 - they promise things that are impossible

If we really have them in our minds, I don't think we fall into them. Unfortunately, most of us easily give trust and grab the offer from these scammers. Of course, they'll do everything to catch greedy people, and sad to say they usually win and take away the money of their victims.
480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: November 05, 2023, 12:26:31 PM
I wonder how one could interpret the statistics of the third round as 8-10? Isn't that 7 - 10? Moreover, if the judges had scored 7-10, then as a result of a split decision, the victory would have gone to Ngannou.

It was already explained by the poster prior to your post.

The scoring is not only decided in one round, Ngannou obviously won that round but it was only a 10-8 score in favor of him.

Let's take a look how it's scored in boxing here.
Quote
For each knockdown in a round, the judge deducts an additional point from the fighter knocked down, resulting in a 10–8 score if there is one knockdown or a 10–7 score if there are two knockdowns.

You see, when Fury went down once, the score was 10-8. If he had gone down twice, it would have been 10-7.

Now, everything is clear. We're only considering the round when Fury went down. What about the later rounds when his jabs were very effective, and Ngannou wasn't throwing many effective punches?
