Yes, Arsenal is not yet out of the Premier League title race this season, there are a lot of matches remaining, and Arsenal could make up for those matches to find their way to the top of the Premier League. The Premier League title race is wide open because Liverpool is topping with just two points difference.
None of the title contenders is out of the race, the Premier League is never won in December as there are still so many points to play for. Arsenal would be disappointed with the result last night, but it is what it is and they have to get over it and focus on Fulham on Sunday. Quite a lot of people said that City are in a crisis, but if you look at the table, you'd see that they are not even far away from the top, Arsenal and Liverpool would know how good City are when the title race is in its final stages and if they couldn't top City with a lot of points now that they are wobbling, when they get to their best, they'd be impossible to stop.

I think Arsenal are favorites against West Ham.
Yeah they are definitely the favorites to win the game, but an upset can happen as Arsenal are currently losing 1-0. There is still quite a lot of time in this game for things to change, but for now West Ham are looking pretty decent in what they are doing, they are strong in defense and when they do go forward, they are causing problems for the Gunners. If West Ham continue in this way, then they have a chance in this game, but Arsenal are going to test them so much.
483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: December 28, 2023, 07:39:29 PM
And I didn't think that Inter would play in the final. Maybe this year someone can surprise me too.
Maybe at the start of the campaign last season, nobody would have predicted that Inter Milan would make it to the CL final, but after the RO16, it became possible because of the teams they were paired against, en route to the final. Inter faced Benfica in the QF and AC Milan in the semifinal, these are teams they can beat and they did, but they couldn't beat City in the final because they are a far stronger team.

It is possible that we see another underdog in the final this season, in the CL anything can happen and every game is tough. I expect upsets to happen and the teams everybody overlooked, to go pretty far. We'd see how things pan out.
484  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Mempool is congested, use ViaBTC free accelerator. on: December 28, 2023, 05:16:35 PM
According to this post, ViaBTC free accelerator is still working, but people with Ordinal transactions are spamming it with their bots and making it impossible for people to use. ViaBTC continues to give 100 transactions per hour.
Yes oh, i been see that post too oh, and i no really know how i go even react to am, the matter dey very frustrating for people wey dey use Bitcoin, wetin dey vex me pass be say na ordinal transactions dey make transactions fees very high, now dem don dey block people from using viabtc because dem dey use their bots to get the slots very fast. As e be now so ehn, if you wan make your transaction dey confirmed, you go pay high fees oh, nothing wey person fit do now, except you wan use off-chain or sidechains oh, too many Bitcoin users don tire oh.
485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 27, 2023, 11:04:51 PM
City got a much needed victory tonight, after a poor first half. In the first 45 minutes it looked like City were up for another frustrating EPL game, but it all changed in the second 45 minutes, Foden stepped up and Rodri was much better. Overall it was a decent performance from City and they deserved the 3 points, the only bad news for them is the injury to John Stones. The Englishman has missed quite a lot of games this season through injury, and now that it looked like it was all behind him, he got injured today again, i hope it is nothing serious anyway.

City's next game is against Sheffield United on Saturday and they would want to make it two wins out of two, for Everton they travel to Molineux to face a Wolves side that is very strong at home, and that might mean they'll lose back to back games, but we'd see how things pan out.
486  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ViaBTC offers no more free TX acceleration? on: December 27, 2023, 10:45:36 PM
It's quite unfair for them to employ bots to dominate everyone else.
Lol, they are not trying to be fair, but they are doing what it takes to have their transactions confirmed with a low fee rate. It is crazy and frustrating to say the least, ordinals spammers clog the mempool with their transactions and now they don't let humans use the only free accelerator around, by using bots to get in before anyone else can.
Within just over an hour, the 100 free accelerations were already claimed, which was unexpected.
Do you mean in a split second?
I had to wait for another hour, but I stayed vigilant and managed to secure a spot.
It is almost impossible for a human to use viabtc free accelerator right now, the 100 slots per hour gets filled in less than a second, and by bots.
487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 27, 2023, 09:13:55 PM
City are struggling, nothing has been going their way in the last few weeks in the Premier League, they go in at half-time losing 1-0 to Everton, and at the moment i can't see where a goal is coming from for city, yet they have dominated the game in terms of possession, but they have not created too many chances. City are lacking creativity, Foden needs to step up and City cannot wait for KDB to be fit again, anyway, the game isn't over and City need to come into the second half and perform better, if they are to have any chance of taking anything from this game.
488  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Mempool is congested, use ViaBTC free accelerator. on: December 27, 2023, 08:00:04 PM
ViaBTC free accelerator has exceeded it limits and not longer accepting new orders. Noticed it since this week, what other alternatives do we have left?
I been notice am too oh, the thing dey very frustrating my brother. There is no alternative for free accelerator oh, except person wan use paid accelerator and that one no make sense because e too cost, sometimes e go even dey more expensive than the transaction wey person wan accelerate sev. Do you think ViaBTC free accelerator go accept new orders in the near future?
489  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How does signature Campaign Sponsors make their money on: December 27, 2023, 03:55:26 PM
The funds are already budgeted funds which you get for creating awareness and publicity which increases there chance of authenticity.
Signature campaigns helps projects to create awareness about what they offer, but it does mean that every project that advertises here is legitimate, even scam projects can launch a signature campaign to get publicity and get as much customers as possible, so they can run away with many people's money. Thus advertisement does not mean that a project is legitimate, and it is important to DYOR about every project before using it.
490  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Mempool congestion and the lighting network on: December 26, 2023, 10:32:48 PM
LN dey off-chain, but the thing be say you go make on-chain transactions as you dey open your channel and when you dey close am too, and for these transactions, you go pay transaction fees for them. E no dey so straightforward to use lightning network as some people they think, and make una know say this off-chain method also get him own disadvantages oh, wetin lightning network dey very good for na small transactions, if you wan send larger funds, you go use the Bitcoin main chain oh, at least until when lightning network develop and is adopted pass the way e be for now.
491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 26, 2023, 09:01:59 PM
De Zerbi will go to Manchester City, next year or in the next 2 years.

Guardiola already "announced" him.
Lol, Pep is still around and he doesn't look set to leave City anytime soon, though anything can happen and Pep could leave earlier than he planned to, but we'll have to wait and see how things pan out. Roberto De Zerbi is doing a great job with Brighton and his pattern of playing is somewhat similar to what City play under Pep's management, so it is possible that he might one day succeed Pep, but quite a lot of things can happen from now until then, so don't be sure things will pan out in the way you predict it.
492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 26, 2023, 08:18:16 PM
Liverpool got a very important win today, after drawing their last two games (against Manchester United and Arsenal), Burnley never actually stood a chance in my opinion, and the better team won today. This win takes Liverpool back to the summit, at least for now, until Arsenal play their own game against West Ham on Thursday.

For Burnley, the defeat keeps them in the relegation zone (in 19th position), it has been a tough season thus far for Kompany and his Burnley side, they have not been able to show the excellence they showed in the Championship last season and there is every possibility that they might be relegated.
493  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advice for crypto bigginers who like chasing the next big thing in crypto. on: December 26, 2023, 04:16:35 PM
Scammers will go any lent to get your money from you, and as good as hype is for crypto, it's also the biggest weapon that scammers use against investors.
Too many crypto enthusiasts are known for going after hype/trending coins, and i don't think anything is going to change about that. Quite a lot of people got scammed through different ICO's, but it didn't stop them from investing in other crypto schemes that have popped up since then, it is what it is; rinse and repeat. People will buy whatever it is, so long as it can give them money in the short term, notwithstanding if it is sustainable or if they are going to get scammed from it.
494  Other / Meta / Re: BCT vs BTT abbreviation for this forum on: December 26, 2023, 10:55:39 AM
I didn't discover topics by theymos asking if the abbreviation users wanted to finalise was BTT or BCT so this isn't a formal vote which's going to change procedure in the forum.
That is because there is nothing official or formal here, the forum doesn't even have an official set of rules, neither does Bitcoin itself have an official website, it is a free network and everybody is free to use whatever abbreviation they think is right, but at least it should make sense to an extent. If the voting was still open i'd vote for BTT, or maybe BCT, well i'd have just voted for either one and i would use anyone that comes to mind first within my posts. Grin

Looks like Erik Ten Hag may lose his job in 2024. Looking at history of Manchester United, it’s understandable that the fans cannot stand the current mediocrity at the club. Judging by the performance of United this season, ETH deserves the sack so far but perhaps  Manchester United should be more patient just the way Arsenal gave to Mikel Arterta. Klopp first 3 years at Liverpool weren’t that great either. But they have progressed to do big things at their respective clubs
What i don't think will happen is Manchester United firing Erik Ten Hag during this season, he would be allowed to finish the season as their manager, then at the end of the season the club will assess his performance and decide if he should stay or go, and if you ask me i think the decision should be that he should go. They are out of Europe, they cannot also win any competition that they are currently in, so i don't think the club is moving forward with the Dutch man as their manager.
498  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is it really possible to lose your btc if you reuse same adress for withdrawal on: December 23, 2023, 09:21:14 PM
also if i have like 0.10 BTC on electrum but this btc split to 5 adresses doesnt that mean in
order to spend this 0.10 i need to pay the transaction fees 5 times since i need to send 0.02 five times?
You aren't going to pay transaction fees five times, but once. The fees that you are going to pay will be calculated based on the inputs and outputs you have in one transaction, which makes up the virtual bytes. Having said that, you must not use all the inputs you have in your wallet in one transaction (if you don't want to), use wallets that have the coin control and address freeze feature, so you would be able to manually select the inputs you want to spend or freeze the address you don't want to spend from.
499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 23, 2023, 08:49:53 PM
Draw is not a good result for arsenal by this time , playing draws when they are supposed to increase their points more against other top Premier league which can make them to win the title.
A draw at Anfield is a good result for Arsenal, and it keeps them on the summit for Christmas, that is not bad at all. I knew Arsenal were not going to win the game, that is why my initial prediction was either a Liverpool win or a draw. Having said that, i'd say a draw was a fair result, neither team were at their best and sharing the points feels like a very fair end to the game. The EPL is not decided in December, so this game doesn't determine anything in the title race, there's still so much points to battle for and quite a lot of things are going to happen from now until the end of the season.
500  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: CBN lifts ban on cryptocurrency transactions on: December 23, 2023, 06:52:40 PM
This na the trending news for Naija cryptocurrency enthusiasts right now, i no go lie for una oh, the ban been no affect me, so i been no mind because Naija people come dey learn how to run their trade via peer to peer. But for the people wey like to buy using their bank card/details, then e make sense for them. The thing be say, e get wetin go soon follow this thing wey our government do so, and me i dey predict say na better regulatory framework and also taxation, our government don see say crypto market choke for Naija, so why should dey ban it when they can make money when their citizens use it.
