i'm staying oldskool before 1 zillion and 1 coins where pumped out per day Litecoin Goldcoin (its been mocked before but hey tis still around years later and its cult followings been growing) Bitcoin Scrypt (dark horse blockchain voting addition is pretty cool) (less bs attached to these then all this innovation to sell snake oil 2.0 stuff we've seen, i think KISS will be the key to longterm currency success)

wow is that a first ie coin being relisted on bittrex? they get a sniff of the volume picking up

With that said, I feel that Satoshi does deserve the coins that he mined (as well as every cent they are worth).
completely disagree, and it almost entirely defeats the purpose of having a decentralised p2p currency. not point in having an alternative to the banker/gov controlled fiat if we just replace them with a new banker with an even bigger cut.

Except it is not used for anything besides speculation. The only point to alt coins is trading/speculating and that is it.
i use litecoin as my core crypto and it can be used pretty much anywhere btc can be used, and is more reliable in my experience then btc hence why i converted to it.

if anyone spent 10 min reading bitcoinlitcoinbtcltc posting history, they wouldn't bother feeding that troll......................just saying

Maybe it should be changed to some form of smartcontract in Eth or Lisk or something similar where the "dividend" I'm sure we can find some name for it like Virtual pos where u get paid in ambercoin but with a fixed price in Eth or Lisk for it that you could exchange it for at anytime.
award for the worst idea ever

Main changes, beside the new payouts schedule, will concern priority to higher capitalisation (higher shares value) rather than higher short-term profit (dividends).
this this sounds promising. imo its almost a no brainer for the company to start a coin buy back, increasing the share value. the whole idea was 'buy, hold and get dividends" what would be the reason to hold >10000 AMBER? what is the reason then to hold any crypto?
|
|
|
EDIT: I think it has to be rebranded though!
a true p2p decentralised currency should be indifferent to branding. any individual and/or group can call it brand it anything they like.

hope not.
too many exchanges spreads liquidity too thin.
but if people wanted it on more exchanges, bittrex and btc38 would be smarter options imo.
$ 106,751 within 24 hours on C-CEX doesn't sound like a liquidity problem. https://c-cex.com/?lpm=btc&p=gld-btcthats not what i was saying you know i was saying if it was added to many exchanges it would have greater chance of liquidity issues. but now you mention it yes a one off peak 100k USD equivalent trading day for a global currency (which goldcoin should be aiming at and is capable of) would be a serious liquidity issue.

Poloniex adding this coin?
hope not. too many exchanges spreads liquidity too thin. but if people wanted it on more exchanges, bittrex and btc38 would be smarter options imo.

its a smart move during these wild west days for ltc to be in btc's shadow, certainly though ltc is better then btc (though many are in the longest river in egypt on that one).

There is no info from DEV for more than a week. In crypto thats ages... that's not a good sign. Maybe he didn't want to be a face of the irresponsible company and had resigned...
well you guys better stay away from the stockmarket, plenty of shares i own where holders are lucky to hear from the company once per quarter (and even then thats only to comply with listing rules). There is "a little" difference between regular stockmarket and cryptomarket. Look at the other coins. well i'd certainly agree there is a big difference between stockmarket traders and crypto traders, hence why as a stockmarket trader i love the crypto crowd

fail to see how anything would win from that mess.
i certainly agree with ellis that "your system has to be better then their system" and none of the latest 2.0 or whatever you call them systems are better then bitcoin (and I'm not really a fan of bitcoin in its current state, which isn't itself, if you're complete honest, better then the system its trying to replace/run parallel too).
(all that's lost on the 'in it for fiat' crypto crowd though)

I am not quite sure who you are refering to but as Amber is shares, the company own 51% which they need in order to control the company. In addition they also hold a large amount of unsold Amber. Maybe you can look number three in that list.... the top few wallets in most coins are the exchanges.

lol, over 100k Amber were dumped...
and picked up (well most likely someone dumped because they saw the buy order)

updated client and dl a new chain, still after many days no staking, jst weight increasing vs network and client says 0 sec til rewards

the biggest problem with crypto in general is most users have lost sight of the whole point. most are simply in it for the fiat.
most individual alts lack a proper community, and decent users/communities/devs are spread too thin across so many coins. most in any coin are simply there hoping to be the earlier adapter and catch the train too fiat profits and quick to move to the next flavor of the day.

What would u say is the biggest ideological flaw of the New Economy Movement?
Have u perceived any flaws in the NEM chain?
~CfA~
many but the biggest, an original core member (and who knows how many others) gamed the original distribution. such a scam at the very beginning (which most now involved conveniently forget), makes it pretty much worthless imo.
