biggest red flag would be having it launched on bitcointalk  Wink
1222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the red flags to watch out for when avoiding P&D coins? on: July 25, 2015, 06:41:02 AM
I personally noticed things such as;

Significant pre-mine, ninja launch, copy-paste job, no innovation or unproven innovation or features.

I second this along with any "traders" who continue to pump the coin. These are the known pump groups such as Bobsurplus, ryanpumper, etc.

I would mention IPO/ICO as well, but there are real world examples of developers who are full into cryptos who need this in order to continue their work (one I personally know). So this is a "take with a grain of salt" situation.

i couldn't disagree more, there is not a single example of an ipo/ico in cryptocurrency that isn't a scam. any 'dev' that require one to continue their work are scammers.

pretty much the whole point of p2p currencies is to be indifferent to governments and the like  Lips sealed
1224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Price Analysis for July and August on: July 24, 2015, 11:26:31 AM
Here's my technical analysis for the run up to the halving. I've ran this by many experts in the field and they unanimously agreed with the assessment.

well i can't see any flaws in your analysis  Cool

NEM: ‘Right Now We Have the Best Designed Blockchain Platform in Existence’

The NEM (New Economy Movement) has managed to secure and undisclosed amount of funding just a few months after their launch.

http://cointelegraph.com/news/114932/nem-right-now-we-have-the-best-designed-blockchain-platform-in-existence

as a NEM stake claimer and also a buyer (ie i bought up alot more), god that would just make other blockchain platforms pretty shit, as NEM tis shit.

hold hope for better but i'll be honest, i've said it before NEM is pretty much all the worst ideas in crypto put together.

so why would i buy up  Huh a hedge incase i'm wrong  Wink and the simple fact; no doubt at some time in the future some fool will buy them for a much higher btc price then i paid  Kiss
1226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will sell a significant part of my Bitcoin hodlings at price ... on: July 24, 2015, 11:12:38 AM
why be about selling for fiat  Huh

btc's not my thing but for the ltc and other cryptos i hold tis not about how much fiat i can get, more i'll use as currencies in their own right as cryptos popularity increases....kinda the whole point to all this  Shocked
1227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This stat is pretty shocking on: July 24, 2015, 10:03:10 AM
So i was looking for some iOS wallets and i can't believe from the 653 Cryptos on Coinmarketcap only 4 of them have their own dedicated iOS wallet which are Bitcoin, GetGems, Dogecoin and Counterparty.

plenty more then that have iOS wallet

No these are the only one, or else show me. This shows 99% of alts are only talk.

have you really even looked  Huh

where would i even begin holding some 40+ coins and using iOS  Cool

litecoins my biggest holding and it certainly has and always has had the most stable client hence one of the reasons its my reserve crypto.

feathercoin, even goldcoin ....have always maintained decent iOS clients, the list goes on and on

maybe ur just dealing with the latest pump and dump scamcoins.

plenty more then that have iOS wallets, most my major holdings have and i hold none of the above you mention. and one of the many reasons i now avoid Bitcoin is it lack of a stable iOS client.

Kelsey, I really appreciate your support and look forward to the possibility of working together in the future. Thanks for putting up with me for so long.

well we've no always seen eye to eye, so been in the mix of a battle or 10, guess alot of thats due to being around in the wild west days of cryptocurrency  Wink

however you've stuck it out this long, and always strongly supported goldcoin since you came across it, so you deserve some respect for that;

and truth be told if the client progresses to a level near the aim, well goldcoin could become a leading cryptocurrency.

1231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GoldCoin™ (GLD) Thread - The Gold Standard of Digital Currency [OFFICIAL THREAD] on: July 22, 2015, 09:59:33 AM
cool so it wasn't just me  Smiley

also installing the new client writes over the conf (so if you have ur own personal list of nodes just best to make a backup).
1232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GoldCoin™ (GLD) Thread - The Gold Standard of Digital Currency [OFFICIAL THREAD] on: July 21, 2015, 04:44:47 AM

1234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The legends of bitcointalk should make our own altcoin together, thoughts? on: July 20, 2015, 02:30:29 AM
I think one of the things holding back so many long-termers getting together is the fact that all the ones really capable are already working on different Coins and do not want to abandon their own projects or create new projects in which would further dilute the investment base.

^^^ This and also probably that there are enough coins already. Let's start making some of the good ones great, and quit making new coins.

agree with microguy on this, there's a ton of older established coins with honest hard working devs and good but small communities around them, if we concentrate our efforts on these instead of just pumping out new coins, the community as a whole would be better off.

seriously the crypto community has its share of problems, but lack of coins certainly ain't one of them, so lets concentrate our efforts on problems we have.
1235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The legends of bitcointalk should make our own altcoin together, thoughts? on: July 18, 2015, 02:50:27 AM
I see all this talk about legends, but all I see here are heroes.

 Cool Cheesy

hero's are only 100 or so spam away from being legends  Wink
1236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The legends of bitcointalk should make our own altcoin together, thoughts? on: July 17, 2015, 09:22:06 AM

i agree you haven't denied or tried to cover up that your motive is to make money (funny here is one place that can be used both literally and figuratively)

man, you got some serious identity issues bro!! aren't you a day trader ... what a fucking joke ...

you're like one of those sexually confused guys who can be literally sucking a strangers cock in a public toilet at 10pm, then goes 'poofter bashing' at midnight.

you're here trading cryptos to make 'honest' money without scamming anyone, right? so why go hating on another guy who might be doing the same?

there's guys actually like that? guess you and i hang in different circles Wink

seriously though you do know how modern currency get their price (and without they'd have no value)?

i can say (with all consistency) that i've never made a cent of fiat out of my crypto trading. nore any fiat out of my crypto testing and development.

1238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: For Monero Haters on: July 17, 2015, 04:48:38 AM
Hello,

If you feel annoyed of all the Monero posts and think Monero should dump but you do not have any Moneros to dump, here is my advice for you: Go to Poloniex, deposit some bitcoins there, transfer those bitcoins to margin trading platform and create a short sell. The interest rates for Monero loans are as low as they can be so it is even cheap to do it.
When the price starts to decline, you are making money.

The Monero haters hate Monero because they fear it, and are jealous of its present success and vast potential.

But they wouldn't dare put their money where their mouths are.

Even though interest rates on XMR loans are near zero, they are still too chicken to risk getting their teeth broken in the inevitable resumption of XMR's moonward trajectory.

you do know plenty of monero haters hate monero because the monero fanbois' seem to be in crypto purely for the fiat......this thread highlights the reason for such hate.

plenty of others don't really hate on monero itself, moreso like myself are indifferent to it, just wish the monero shills would politely shut the f$%k up  Kiss
1239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The legends of bitcointalk should make our own altcoin together, thoughts? on: July 17, 2015, 03:50:12 AM
Legends of bitcointalk we may have had arguments with each other before but this right here is our chance to really make it big to make more profit then we have ever had before.

Huh with motives like this kinda defeats the whole purpose of geniune alt currency creation  Roll Eyes

Why is making money shunned upon so much? Just because we'll be making money doesn't make our efforts any less genuine.

because alts created to make the devs money are the very definition of a scamcoin, again whats the point in being an alterative to the greedy banker controlled fiat, if we ourselves become the greedy bankers, but thats lost on alot of people around this place.

I don't think you understand what a scam is. We are in know way stealing anything we are just providing a service and profiting off of it.

while certainly there are win win scenerios in many comercial endeavours, creating crypto currencies certainly aint one of them ie here in order for you to make profit someone has to make a loss, so you are basically suggesting legendary members use their status create a coin to profit of newbies.

you can go on,and on with a defensive arguement, now, any way you like, use whatever semantics you like, but its the underlining truth to your OP.

So you're saying this is a scam coin because some people could make a profit and other people could make a loss? The same thing is true for literally every other coin and every stock on the stock market.

for every coins todate 99.9% of the time mostly yes (up until this point in time), for stock market many many win win situations with profit making commercial ventures so no not true in that case.

but tis all irrelevent, you can argue all day long but you stated your motives crystal clear in the OP.

Yes I said I wanted to make money and no were have I denied that since. Why are you trying to make it look like I'm trying to cover up that making money is a motive?

i agree you haven't denied or tried to cover up that your motive is to make money (funny here is one place that can be used both literally and figuratively)
