Thanks for all the cheap Bucks BTW.

Newsflash.. the coin is farked. There are exploited wallets taking all of the legitimate stakes, the multi pool to keep the price maintained has been shut down and the dev has completely abandoned the coin.

Apart from that, everything is great though. Ignore everything I just said and keep buying, you're onto a winner here!

not much surprises me, but the fact this coin remains a non zero amount  Shocked  Huh ... guess u just got to LOL
1142  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Australia Ready to Treat Bitcoin as a Regular Currency on: August 11, 2015, 04:40:43 AM
problem being is the current and future bitcoin ecosystem is all about the money changes which kinda defeats the whole purpose of p2p currencies.

all the people behind the supposed btc business', VC projects etc are simply the new breed of try to be bankers.

what the aus gov wants is a piece of the action, and the like of aus btc groups are happy to play along to get more fiat.

p2p currencies should be completely indifferent to what any gov defines them as.
1143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: iGotSpots Scam Dev on: August 11, 2015, 04:09:12 AM

Has anyone with even a shred of legitimacy accused iGotSpots of being a scammer?

Is there a single fact based form of proof anywhere?

This seems like just a baseless accusation by a herd of two post newbies to me?

~BCX~

never said he was a scammer, but more like an irresponsible. look at how he act now, leaving all his coin holders without clue what is going on but still continue as if nothing is happening.

between you and me, these two types of ppl all lies on the same side, no?

btw, what you have since few days now, "defending" the guy? can you please speak your mind instead of playing the devil's advocate and a ping pong game with your questions? I mean, are you following what is going on, or just reply for your posts count?  people are stucked on his coins for months now and couldn't get out without heavy losses, so if you could explain a bit your interventions here... thanks.

@gnargnar

Yep, you've busted me.

I'm just a newbie here posting to raise my post count for Sig Spamming efforts.

Please report me to Badbear for Sig Spamming.

Spots is a lot of things but scammer ain't one of them.

But then again, what do noobs like me know  Wink

~BCX~

wow... this is what we call dodging the real question I've asked to you.. instead you take just a funny part and reply with that (hell, sure I know it's not for post count. damn )
btw... no need to "sign" your reply here, we know who post by looking at the left sidebar... oh? look...

BCX did quite clearly answer your question  Huh

wasn't your question essentially; from your perspective why are you defending spots?
and BCX answered that spots is not a scammer, seeing this thread is  "iGotSpots Scam Dev", i'd say that a clear enough answer from BCX.

+1

and the dumbest part is, if you follow their post, several of the accusers openly admitted to gaming spots' coins.  Huh
1145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: iGotSpots Scam Dev on: August 11, 2015, 02:33:16 AM
go figure  Huh   He even continue to post here on the BobSurplus thread to beg Bob to contact him to "wreck" the alt scene....

pumping out a zillion useless coins won't do any damage to the legit crypto scene, tis not like that hasn't been done before.

tbh he may even accidentally earn the noobs he's angry with more $$$$$
1146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: iGotSpots Scam Dev on: August 11, 2015, 02:30:51 AM

GUYS: Don't give up on BUCKS, if the council truly is in charge now, AND SPOTS LEAVES US ALONE FOR GOOD, we will patch it up and try to minimize your losses. I am not trying to act like a good guy (after all I did my part to fuck this chain up, though purely out of pride and not unsatisfiable greed as some of you have said ) but I do feel bad for making you guys lose money in the process.

LMAO

you can't seriously say that  Huh

oh wait yes someone who admittedly has gamed this coin, and has a "special" wallet would want that  Wink
1147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Give me a logical reason why Vanilla coin is not a top ten coin? on: August 10, 2015, 11:25:54 PM
Afaics his abstract paper does not deal with some of the intricacies of the economics that have to be solved in order to make the design actually work in the real world.
You see that often in unseasoned theorists.

Someone asked me in a PM for my opinion of VanillaCoin. I just expended 15 minutes studying it for the first time:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=977245.0

The DarkPP stuff is vaporware and no details are available.

It claims some efficiency improvements over Bitcoin and Peercoin. Appears the developer is a seasoned P2P networking programmer. If I had to venture a guess, he probably was a former developer of a Bittorrent client.

The main feature of significance is the zero confirmation time research which attempts to gain a faster consensus. Unfortunately he seems to entirely forget any game theory analysis. The Byzantine fault tolerance in proof-of-work consensus is due to game theory incentives given by the proof-of-work rewards. He expects these peers to behave a certain optimum way when they are not being paid to do so. Many faults will be found in his design because of this. I don't have time to go outline the faults.

Satoshi was a lot more astute than many people might realize. If you are going to improve upon Satoshi's work, you need to be very sharp.

satoshi also assumed price will consistently remain above cost of production, which once a its listed on traded markets will not always be the case (admittedly something satoshi did add is a passing disclaimer), if such occured for an extended period guess what; "He expects these peers to behave a certain optimum way when they are not being paid to do so"  Kiss
1148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Give me a logical reason why Vanilla coin is not a top ten coin? on: August 10, 2015, 10:44:40 PM
if it is any good (which i doubt), its hidden in amongst 1001 shitcoins so few would find it anyways. tbh the name is so lame most would pass it over.
1149  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Australia Says Bitcoin is Money – Japan says Bitcoin can’t be owned on: August 10, 2015, 04:32:41 AM
It doesn't matter what the governments say what bitcoin is. Bitcoin is what it is and it can't be changed, it is a decentralized cryptocurrency  in Australia, Japan , USA etc

lot of people in their heads make bitcoin to be what they'd have liked it to be, but bitcoin most certainly is centralised and changeable.

1152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: iGotSpots Scam Dev on: August 09, 2015, 10:55:04 PM
For the record..

I did not, at any time, have a special wallet. The three people that I know of that did for sure are: RoboRob, Ricky Petrovich, and vegasguy

These 'heroes' are the ones that have fucked you all, not me

How do I know this for a fact? They tried to get me to pay them to keep it quiet, then tried to sell it to me, which is why all 3 have been on my ignore list for quite some time

Just a quickie because I have got a ship to get on. I'll be offline for 2 weeks. Summer break at last!!!!

Vegas didn't have a special wallet. At least not by me. As I mentioned in an earlier post I wasn't alone in this. Someone else, unknown to me, was also making a (far more successful) attack on this chain. And unless that other party tried to sell you the exploit, you are a lying scumbag.

Except for the part where you state you didn't have a special wallet. I'm sure you didn't this is WAAAAAAY over your mediocre head. And its not that complicated.

You probably don't want to hear from me again but I will gladly advise on the best way to patch this up.

TL;DR :Spots is a lying bitch. Nothing new there.

so you are saying spots didn't have a special wallet for Bucks? mmxiv?

who in your knowledge did? who created these special wallets?

1153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: iGotSpots Scam Dev on: August 09, 2015, 10:06:36 AM
The qoute of Vegas was talking about a MMXIV wallet Spots posted that Vegas got from the Ann when 1st posted. A friend of his got the regular wallet a little later. By comparing stakes, they realized the wallets staked at different rates. Refer back Vegas' post. He stated he believes Spots had special wallets all the way back then.

my guess thats more someones imagination, i had mmxiv on several machines all with the same client, yet all staked very differently, some luck some the way you added coins.

also as a holder i keep regular eye on all the top pos wallets, see if anythings fishy and nothing of the like was happening with any wallet with decent holdings.

anyways the point i'm here for is not about who did what, but more about threats to other members on this forum no matter what the trigger, are crossing the line, and everyone on this forum should have zero tolerence of such.

vegas from what i see on this forum (not knowing all the pms in the background) crossed that line.

(the rest is schoolboy bs i have no time for even reading)

And can't leave without saying I trust Vegas 100% - Great person
Super business man - cares about his customers. I am one and have
used one of his businesses for 9 years since moving to Vegas.

Check out his businesses on all of the on-line rating services - highest
ratings.

You are such a joke. LOL.

Actually I've talked to Vegas Guy a fair bit too and he is a great guy. You know how many people have told me bad things about Vegas Guy? none.

Seriously, i don't know him but anyone who acts like he did here, with these threats to any forum member, deserves at the very least a permaband;

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1108502.msg12086044#msg12086044

Ahh, but that means that Spots also had this version of the wallet and kept it private and made people so angry that they are bent on destroying his Coin with the very wallet that Spots was using to over-Stake on his own chain...

no vegas was begging Ricky Petrovich (not spots) for the special wallet

Very good to see!  Mainstream adoption is growing, now officially planning my next vacation for down under!

Color me doubtful that anything original will come from australia. Up until 50 years ago it's politics and legislation was copied from the UK, and in the last 50 years they have copied from the USA.

It is better to have good legislation, rather than original, but bad legislation. As long as they realize what is best for their country, nobody can fault them for it.

but in Australia's case the copy comes from sheer laziness of the political establishment, which they get away with because of the apathy of the people.

its a huge negative step for any crypto enthusiast, gov don't do such things for cryptos benefit.

bitcoin is just fast becoming a pseudo fiat, regulate it make it pointless is all gov plans.
