541  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will you use platforms offering AI help for crypto trading in 2024? on: December 23, 2023, 03:48:21 AM
Hi guys! Happy holidays! Just wanted to know if you're planning on using AI bots and such technologies to boost your crypto profits in 2024. And now that I'm talking about this, I'm curious if you've already started to use AI for taking trades.
It depends.

If I see that AI will increase my chances of winning in my trades then I might come back and trade again, but as of now, I will never, ever trade again. Can I ask if there's any exchange out there that's using AI bots as of this moment? I know that AI bots aren't accurate since they can't predict the market that's why many are against it, but with how powerful AI can be, I think there's a chance that it can increase its accuracy of predicting.

digaran is a well-known harasser on this site. He needs to be banned from this site. Maybe Satoshi does not want to deal with Bitcoiners because they have been like digaran since 2011.

543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 23, 2023, 03:12:56 AM
Dončić and Irving are not playing tonight, that tells why Mavericks is so bad against Rockets. They scored only 39 points in first half, that's a quarter score for a lot of teams. It seems like only Tim Hardaway Jr. is trying to do something and his 5/15 FG is not really helpful. Rest of the team, especially Hardy and Curry are awful. On the Rockets side Alperen Şengün made a double-double already. Jabari Smith Jr. also played good. Rockets should win this one fairly easy, no need to watch last quarter.
With a 29-point lead by the Rockets in the 4th quarter, that sure is over already. I guess it's expected that the Rockets will win on this one knowing that the 2 superstars of the Mavericks are out. The 5 starters of the Rockets are in double-digits already. I'm not watching currently, but I would love to see Boban playing even in the final minutes of the game only. Cheesy He's not injured right.  Grin

The Mavericks-Rockets is already a one-sided game, and so was the Jazz-Pistons game yesterday, but it ended up differently. Many expected that the Pistons would end their losing streak on this game because they're on their home, and 8 players on the Jazz aren't playing including Markannen, Clarkson, and THT, but they still lose.

I would not bring this up but it just shows how awful this Pistons team is. I want to laugh at them, but TBH, I feel sad for the whole Pistons team, and the management. How would you feel as a Pistons player if the fans themselves were saying "Sell the Team" in your face? A bit disappointing, but a bit sad and heartbreaking to see them playing like this. Their morale is now at its lowest point, and TBH, I don't know how they will come up with this one. They're only 3 games behind the current losing streak record.

This is how awful the situation in Detroit is. Even a bettor already put a bet that they will never win a single game this season anymore.
544  Economy / Services / Re: Friendship service for BTC. Do you need a friend to speak to, confide in? on: December 23, 2023, 02:29:31 AM
This type of service is happening in Japan, you hire a GF within a day, a friend, a mom, a dad, etc.
It's like someone who's lonely can pay for someone to do all of the things in the roleplaying but still with boundaries.
Well, this makes me remember the game Friends For Sale but without those calls and attachments.
I want to laugh at the service, but I'm leaning toward the fact that depression is the reason why he's offering that one. Of course, money will always be there. It's kind of funny if you look it at first, but many people are experiencing depression currently. You said Japan, and I saw a news months ago regarding a person who stopped working as a regular employee, what's he doing? He's running a "Companion for hire" service where he's being hired by people who are alone and want somebody to share their problems with. Based on this link as well, around 4.2% of the total population in Japan is experiencing depression.

As for the OP, I don't consider a "friendship for hire" service as a genuine friendship so maybe just remove that. Good luck with your service as well, but I think you're on the wrong platform to share your services with, but who knows? There might be 1 or 2 people here who are in need of your help.
545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another year is going to end. Bitcoin isn't dead on: December 22, 2023, 11:46:09 AM
This chart is very familiar. It's like how our market is moving every 4 years. Cheesy

It goes up, reaches its peak then slowly goes down. Same with this one. The peak was in 2017 when China banned ICOs in their country and Jamie Dimon is saying that Bitcoin is a fraud. Very funny that after many people are saying that Bitcoin is dead, it's still here giving profits to those who are holding it, and changing the lives of some investors both in a good and bad way.

Anyway, I guess there will be a time when that phrase will never be used, or at least only a few will use it. Nevertheless, I see that phrase as irrelevant already because we've already seen that Bitcoin is still here even though many are trying to ban it. Bitcoin is here to stay like what others are saying. Smiley

Thanks @icopress for the PM, @GazetaBitcoin for facilitating this contest, and to other participants as well. RIP to light_warrior as well. One of the best in exposing plagiarists.

I'm not an expert in TA, but I only used 2 indicators to come up with that price. Fibonacci Retracement, and 21 Weekly Simple Moving Average. Wait I also used support and resistance as well. After all, it's a prediction contest, so good luck to all of us participants

547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Btt staking and buying stradegy on: December 22, 2023, 05:29:25 AM
Im buying it and staking i have made most of my profit of this this month with BTT buying and staking.
When bull run start in crypto market the btt is small cap and cheap coin Im sure a lot funds will flow into this coin Im staking this also to get more BTT i don't want to speculate too much but BTT in my opinion will be one of the performers that's the only low Cap coin i will hold and will invest long term and Im staking btt aswell.
You do the same ?
Now I think this thread is more of a shilling thread than just pure sharing because of the words that have been used. Cheesy
"Lots of funds will flow into this coin." "One of the performers that's the only low cap." FYI, BTT has a market cap of nearly a billion dollars. Is that a low market cap? Yes don't compare it with the likes of Bitcoin, and other top altcoins out there, but a project that has almost a billion dollars in market cap is considered a huge one already.

Don't shill BTT because, after all, it has been at the top 100 for a long time. They don't need your shilling because they've been there for a long time. I'm not doing the same, and I might not touch that coin as well. If you bought that coin then staked it then that's good because there might be some who are doing the same. If you see BTT as a good long term coin to hold then so be it. Don't convince us especially those newbies out there.

So who from us Will create us new currency? And we All use this currency and get some airdrop ?
I tried to read what you said at least 3x and this is what I will say.
What you said is far from reality.

Unity? Do you expect that people around the world will do that? Wake up, dude. We are living in a cruel world where every person will do everything for them to be in the upper part of society. I mean if they will betray people around them to live better, they'll do it. If they need to hurt somebody for the sake of money, they'll do it. There are times when life's difficult, but the only thing that you can do is adjust, adopt, and move forward. This is straight-up nonsense

No one will create a new currency, and please don't say anything about airdrops because it will not happen. Do you mean the government will give free money? In your dreams maybe. Tongue
549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You will burn on: December 22, 2023, 03:15:04 AM
Just as the title of this thread,  your investment will burn when you accumulate more shit coin than Bitcoin, most of us newbie think that since shit coin gives higher return, they actually don't know that investing in shit coin instead of Bitcoin is suicidal.
~
While what you said is true, some scenarios might negate what you said.

For example, I used to have Bitcoin in my portfolio, then I chose to risk let's say 50$ of it and bought some meme coin like PEPE, SHIB, or DOGE. I only invested because I wanted to gamble some of my money, and there's nothing wrong there. To use the term "suicidal" is a bit exaggerating for me. I guess the correct term for that is "very risky". Just simplify it. Smiley I know, I know that investing in shitcoins instead of Bitcoins is a very risky move "IN THE LONG TERM", but there are some investors out there that are still investing in these shitcoins because they believe that anytime, that shitcoin might go 10x or even 50x if they're lucky "IN THE SHORT TERM".

I'm not against what you said though. I always believe that DCA is the safest way for an investor to be profitable, but investing in shitcoins is still a good thing if they want to gamble some of their money to buy it. They know that there's a high chance that they'll get burned, but do they care? No, especially if that money is what they can afford to lose. Smiley
550  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: FOMO of bull market on: December 22, 2023, 02:44:17 AM
So, I longed chainlink yesterday, with 10x leverage as market appeared so good. Now, there has been dump and my position got liquidated.

I usually go with 2-4x leverage, and that gives me safer liquidation price however this time I went with 10x leverage, as I thought bulls have arrived, and it's only up from here, and you see how wrong that turned out.

Take whatever lesson you want. For me, it's to stick with 2-4x leverage with which I tend to do good, don't allow greed to enter.
This is the reason I already quit trading.
At the start, you will get some profit using x2-x5 leverage, but it will be small, and you feel that you need more. Greed got me at that time, and my next trades are already at x10 or even x20 leverage. The ending is I lost all of my profits that I got from I think 2 weeks just because of a single entry.

I guess if you are investing for the upcoming bull market, leveraging isn't the way, but just hold it. I mean why leverage it still? For the sake of profit? We expect that the bull run will happen in a few months to maybe a year from now, so why not just hold it instead?

If you can't control yourself, don't trade. Simple as that or else, you will lose your money. I can't control myself whenever I'm trading that's why I stopped it already.
551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When do you think Bitcoin ETF will be approved? on: December 22, 2023, 02:22:01 AM
I think it will be approved within Dec last.
What you guys think?
Based on this article: LINK
Quote
In a recent development, insider sources linked to FOX Business suggest that the SEC is poised to greenlight the first spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) by Jan. 10, 2024. This potential decision looms as a transformative milestone for the widespread acceptance of cryptocurrency within the U.S.
Although no specific company has been named in that article, we have an idea of when they will accept the possible first spot Bitcoin ETF. Many prominent companies have filed for a Spot Bitcoin ETF. Companies like Blackrock, Fidelity, VanEck, Bitwise, Fidelity, etc. Of course, I don't want to rely on that information alone, but my safest date on when the SEC will approve a spot Bitcoin ETF would be February of next year.
552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 21, 2023, 04:09:07 AM
With that being said Memphis is waayyy behind but with Ja back they just look like they got theor swagger back.  I expect them to make moves through the western conference.

Currently they are 7-19. A lot of effort to be made for them to reach at least at .500, but no excuses now that Morant is back, so for sure they'll bring their firepower back. That was against the Pelicans was very necessary, it wasn't expected but Morant showed how special he is as a player, Memphis can't go on with their success without him.

Their next 4 games aren't that tough IMO, they can win these games for sure.

-Jazz
-Indiana
-Atlanta
-Peliicans (again)

But the next two after those 4 would be tougher (Let's see if their back to playoff Memphis)

-Clippers
-Denver
I expect that the Grizzlies will play much better now that Morant is back, but I didn't expect them to win that game.

With Morant back already, the morale of the team is up again. They're now at the bottom of the standings right now, but with their next games, I expect them to play better. As you shared, their next 4 games are against the Jazz, Pacers, Hawks, and Pelicans. Jazz might be an easy win for them, but the 3 are the teams that they will have a hard time defeating. They almost lost to the Pelicans last night, and the Hawks are still a good team. The Pacers will be the hardest one, and TBH, I think they will lost against them. Overall, it's good that their main player is back after being suspended for 25 games. It just shows how important he is to the team, and I hope that he will get involved in some gun-related incidents ever again.

The Clippers are seconds away from getting their 9th straight win against the Mavericks as they're leading by 9 points currently. The Lakers lost to the Bulls by double-digits. The Sixers won against the top-seeded Minnesota team, and the main news today. THE PISTONS ARE NOW ON A 24-GAME LOSING STREAK!!!!
553  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are we expecting between now and Bitcoin halving? on: December 21, 2023, 03:38:17 AM
I am just wondering what we are all expecting between now and the Bitcoin halving in April next year. Is it going to be a steady climb till then or is there usually a crash of some kind?
None. Don't expect too much.

What I mean is that, what you've seen that happen this year might happen as well in between today, and the day before the halving. Don't expect that Bitcoin will reach ATH at that time frame because based on history, Bitcoin usually goes up in price a few months after the halving. What I mean when I say it goes up is that, it just goes up, and up, and not going down that much. If that happens, that also means that we are in a bull run already.

Just look at what happened in 2020 & 2021. It might happen as well.

Up until now I have just been buying throughout the bear market and not sold anything , my portfolio is currently 26% in profit which I am happy with but wondering if I should keep holding till past the bull run or take some profits now.
Well, it's good for you that you took the opportunity to buy during the bear market. Most of the investors were afraid to buy at that time for some unknown reasons, but like you, I also took advantage of it and bought some coins including Bitcoin at that time as well.

As for your question, just hold on to it, wait for the bull market to happen then sell at the peak or near its peak. Smiley Have some target selling prices as well, and be patient. Make sure that those selling prices are a bit realistic as well meaning there's a high chance that it will reach that price during the bull run.

554  Economy / Economics / Re: Learn to use DEBT in a proper way to create asset on: December 21, 2023, 02:58:04 AM

Based on this example, it's good that the business grew in the first year already.
The bad side though is that this isn't happening to most of the start-up business, and in fact, most of them are already quitting, or stopping their business in the first year alone. I will not give some numbers, but the majority of the start-ups end up a failure in the first 3 years, and there are many reasons for that.

This type of real-life situation works only if you become successful in the first year of your business. The problem is what if it doesn't? I'm not a business owner, and I'm not a business-minded type of person, but I always don't want to use debt for a start-up business. I mean why not just save money right? Why not just plan on it in advance, and save money for it? If you want to start a business 3 years from now then start saving now. In that way, you will not be in a situation where you lost your money building that business, and failed, and at the same time, you will pay the money that you borrowed. It's hard if that happens to you.

Who are the ones who will be successful by doing this? Salesmen because they know how to sell their product. Look at those successful businessmen today like Robert Kiyosaki (mentioned by many here), and Mark Cuban as well. They can get debt from banks and then grow it because they're experts in that field already. As a beginner, it's hard to go straight up and borrow money from other people for a business. It would be better to just save money for it, and then use that money in your business. This is only my opinion though. Cheesy
555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin create an opportunity to reduce poverty? on: December 21, 2023, 02:21:27 AM
Now it Christmas season alot of people don’t have transport to go their various stats due to the high cost of transportation,  bad road and insecurities in some nation, some many lose interest.
There are some reasons why some aren't even spending the Christmas season.
Religion, work, lack of money, etc. Though high fares is also a reason, it isn't the only, and the main reason because I've seen some people here in my country that aren't even going to spend the season with their family because they will lose the opportunity to earn more money. I know it's kind of sad to think, but that's how they live. If they will not work, they will not have money.

As a good country the government should have free bus for less privileged to travel home for season like this.
This will not happen.
Just think of this. The government will offer free buses. People will flock to it because it's "FREE". The government will be having a hard time finding a bus company that'll do it, and at the same time, they will find a way to find money to be used for gas for the bus, and the payment for the drivers. Well, there might be some places that might do it, but most will not do it.

~why am suggesting that Bitcoin and altcoin should be taught free of charge and the knowledge should be pass to the younger ones since they are the leader of tomorrow
We can do it for free. In fact, many are doing it already and it's for free. There are some people who are introducing, and teaching Bitcoin to other people for free.

let see how it can reduce the rate of poverty or eradicate poverty entirely in every Nation. The world is suffering and Bitcoin should be introduced in every nation and should be freely
Bitcoin isn't the solution for eradicating poverty.
Poverty will not be eradicated anymore. Bitcoin will not be like a magic wand that when they use it, they'll be out of poverty already. Bitcoin isn't the solution. Mindset is the solution. The way they think is the problem. The way they handle money is the problem. The poor people lacking financial knowledge is the problem why they're poor. Bitcoin can reduce poverty, but it alone will not, and it needs other factors for a person to be out of the poverty zone.
556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Introducing bitcoin to the orphans on my birthday on: December 21, 2023, 01:48:20 AM
In this cruel world, it's always good that there are still people who are trying to help other people in need.
I expect some here who will criticize what he's done (like 1 or 2) for some reason, but who cares? If you did something good for other people then it's all good.

Happy Birthday, OP. The only problem that I see here is that they're orphans meaning they're most likely kids. Do you think that they will be interested in learning more about Bitcoin knowing how complex it is? Introducing it to them might be a good thing, but do you expect that they will do further research on it? Do you think that they will be interested in learning it even more after you introduce it to them? Those questions that I asked are important because sometimes, picking the correct person to introduce Bitcoin to is a big factor as well.

Well, I might not like the fact that you shared it with kids, but the fact that you helped them is already a good thing. It's Yuletide Season anyways, and I hope many here will do the same as long as they're able to do it, and of course, don't do it only because it's Christmas. As much as possible, let's give to other people who are in need as well. Smiley
557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 19, 2023, 06:54:25 AM
Many here are talking about the Warriors and other teams, but no one is talking about how the Clippers are playing right now.
Why is that?

I mean they just won against one of the best offensive teams right now in the league Indiana Pacers, and they're currently on an 8 game winning streak. They have a record of 13-2 in their last 15 games, and right now, they are in the top 5 in terms of defense, and offense which is quite rare nowadays. Everybody is talking about Harden and his acquisition, but aside from that, there are 3 reasons that I think the Clippers are playing better right now.

1. Westbrook's adjustment from being a starter to now a bench player. For me, this is the main reason why they're playing better now. 2 ball handlers can't be playing together at the same time, and it's a good thing that he adjusted for the betterment of the team. Now he's mentoring those young players, and he's willing to adjust if that means winning the title... or will they? Cheesy
2. Kawhi and PG are more healthy than they are. F*ck the load management. Now they're playing better already. Kawhi didn't miss any game while PG missed only 1 game. Now look where they are right now. They're better, and I just hope that either one of them will not get injured when the playoff comes.
3. Harden is back to his old self. I believe Harden is starting to come back to his old self already. Not the Harden when he's in the Rockets where he's a scorer, but the Harden we used to see when he was at Brooklyn, and Philly. The passer-type Harden and this is a good thing for the Clippers.

The chemistry is starting to build up already, and we've seen it in their past games. The only question right now is will they sustain this type of performance until the end of the season? If they will play like this all throughout the whole season, I believe they will be at the top 4 at least. Smiley

Without:
Charity, begging, illegal, stocks, trading.
Work in a company, be a freelancer, have a skill, and offer it to other people.

Why are you asking this? Are you a fresh graduate and don't know anything about earning money? Don't you have any work experience at all? Why ask a very generic question like you are more newbie than a newbie here? Cheesy Go work in a company, or learn a skill and offer it either offline or online whichever you're comfortable with.

Work, Work, and Work. As long as you're able to work, go work. As long as your body is still strong, continue working. That's how life is. You graduate, you work, and you will decide if you will work till the end of your life, or you will try to at least enjoy the fruits of your money by investing a portion of it.

An influencer can influence anybody, but they can't influence everyone.
I mean they can share whatever they want to, and not all will believe or support that thing. It's the same with this one.

At first, you love what he does until he posts anti-Bitcoin content. Ask yourself first. What's the reason why are you donating to that content creator in the first place? If you love all of his content aside from that anti-Bitcoin content then you can just continue donating and still subscribe to him. On the other hand, if you don't want him anymore just because of that anti-Bitcoin content then just stop donating and unsubscribe. After all, you are donating because you want to support him and not because he forces you to do it.

I didn't encounter this type of content creators TBH, but I guess if I were you, I'd just ignore all of his anti-Bitcoin content and will just focus on the other content that he's posting. Everyone has their own opinion, and if that's his opinion then there's nothing we can do about it, and as for you he didn't force you to donate or subscribe, but you did because you are showing appreciation to his content. Well, you can make a debate on him if you believe that what he's saying about Bitcoin is false. I mean many influencers are doing that.

he wish to acquire 1 btc so I told him not to worry that he will use the DCA method to buy same amount of bitcoins at different interval then with time he will surely acquire the 1 btc.
I will call it a "1BTC syndrome" where people especially newbies want to get or acquire a whole Bitcoin where they can just hold a portion of it.
I mean if they can buy a single Bitcoin then they can just do it I guess. It's good though that you shared the DCA strategy because it's the safest strategy for newbies like your friend.

My question now is that is it wise that I showed him the amount of Bitcoins I have accumulated before he developed interest?
No.

It isn't wise, and it isn't safe. I know it's your friend and you might trust him, but from my perspective, it's never safe to show your holdings to other people even with close family members. Well we don't know how close you are with your friend, and you might trust him more than anybody else around you thus, you showed it to him. Nevertheless, you did it already. I guess just take care of yourself, and your holdings as well because you don't know what can happen. Smiley
