541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crawford vs Canelo-Charlo winner (no date yet) on: October 02, 2023, 01:27:54 PM
So, this fight could possibly happen, right?

@OP, you can edit the title now as there was already a winner of the Canelo vs Charlo fight.

It seems like Crawford is still eager to go toe to toe with Canelo. I guess it's worth following how far Crawford's ambition will go. He has already expressed his interest. We are just looking for Canelo's response regarding this. If a contract is signed, then they could start training, but I have a feeling the fight is going to be next year.
542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be accepted as a dominant currency in the future? on: October 02, 2023, 11:17:51 AM
That is still a big question OP but can't just give hope for that because there are people who have been using this already and some businesses who also accept this as a mode of payment. We just need ample time to discover and make people fully trust this system. With slow development, I can't question why some people will say it was a failure because that is really what we saw. However, until Bitcoin still exist and show some progress about accepting this as a mode of payment, we can say that it was not impossible to consider as a dominant currency in the future.
543  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you believe Technical Analysis? on: October 02, 2023, 09:54:18 AM
Each kind of analysis plays a different role, each piece of research relates to a certain timeframe. Technical analysis can help you act on fundamental research that you have done at the right time, or identify the value of the instrument that you are analyzing.

Do I believe in technical analysis as a concept? Of course, it would be highly irrational to say that all activity is random and that chart triggers or patterns are always random and with no influence. Do I believe that it's highly accurate? That depends on how it is utilized. I agree with the first post that TA is not 100% accurate. This is a fact that a new trader should find quite quickly into their first try of TA Wink
Besides, TA has been made not to become perfect as there is no such thing in trading especially, as we are a volatile market. But wondering why traders are using this. This means that even though it was not 100% accurate, still it gave us an idea of what we were going to do next. Of course, there is no perfection in trading and no matter how many years you've been doing this, losses still happen. But as long as you trust your doings and your TA, that seems a ticket to survival and profit.
544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If only property I have is bitcoin on: September 29, 2023, 11:01:59 AM
Not only to show your best family friend your private key or phase password of your Bitcoin wallet, with him/her don't have the knowledge of Bitcoin on how it works is a big mistake while doing that, the first thing is to write down your Bitcoin wallet private key or phase code as a document it offline and state them clear for your love one that has access to your documents if the person is no more. Moreover, Bitcoin has to be educated to our beloved family and how to make use of it.
Some of us are afraid to share any information about our crypto investment because we think that someone will have an interest in it and steal their Bitcoin that is why they prefer to keep it secret rather than tell their loved ones. Let us consider this as a sort of protection but on the other side, there is also a disadvantage which we also have to anticipate. Such practices need to be corrected, we have to let someone entrust with - the keys and passwords for the sake that they are able to access and benefit from them when the time has come.
545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: September 29, 2023, 05:23:27 AM
Personally, I will expect something close game between Jordan and our own Gilas. JMF and JBL need to start the charge and bring that spark to the whole squad.

We cannot determine that right now because the game is over 24 hours away. Perhaps the odds will become available tomorrow, on Sunday afternoon. People will certainly be watching this game, as it's Gilas Pilipinas' toughest opponent. It will be a close match, but in terms of betting odds, I believe Jordan is still the favorite.

Last time, I saw a live streaming video on Facebook with no interruptions. I'm confident that we won't have a hard time finding free streams for this particular game.

Yeah, no problem with this particular game, unlike leagues like the PBA and NBA. It will be reported right away, but our streamers are more advanced now. They have numerous sources, so if one source is taken down, their backup will automatically go live. Regarding the betting odds, let's be patient; eventually, bookies will make them available for us. It's still a bit early, though, so there's no need to complain if betting odds aren't available tomorrow yet.

By the way, we will have a busy day of betting tomorrow due to a big boxing event, Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo.
546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 29, 2023, 04:54:59 AM
Lillard, Middleton, Portis, Giannis and Lopez, could this be a potential Bucks starting lineup?

Portis might sit out because they'd become too big if he were included in the starting lineup, which would slow the team down. Additionally, Portis is a great player, so it would be nice to see him in the second unit. You can check out this article that discusses the potential lineup.

https://ftw.usatoday.com/lists/bucks-starting-lineup-damian-lillard-trade-giannis-brook-lopez

POINT GUARD: Damian Lillard
SHOOTING GUARD: Khris Middleton
SMALL FORWARD: Jae Crowder
POWER FORWARD: Giannis Antetokounmpo
CENTER: Brook Lopez
547  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do hacks still occur? on: September 28, 2023, 12:13:05 PM
This happens because they underestimate hackers not knowing their capabilities and expertise in doing this. Even if they know (exchanges) they are still prone to such things as these hackers will holes in the security system and get through it. This will give us an idea of why we should not use an exchange wallet as our storage wallet. And no matter what they do to enhance their security level, hackers will also be spending their time going beyond and gaining access to their keys.
548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if your country did not legalize cryptocurrency? on: September 28, 2023, 11:30:44 AM
I think the fact that governments accept bitcoin is something we should be surprised by instead of being surprised when they ban it. I also believe that Satoshi could have predicted this because, from the beginning when he created bitcoin with its decentralized nature, it was completely against what the government wanted. And Satoshi created bitcoin for us, not for the government, so I think it doesn't matter too much whether the government accepts it or not. Because even if they ban it, we still use it and it keeps getting stronger and stronger. Banning bitcoin is almost impossible and it is easy to see that many governments that once banned bitcoin have now accepted it.
As long as the government doesn't have control of all online transactions, we can still use Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
In fact, many countries don't legalize crypto but wondering why many people are still active and continue trading. Well, good thanks that crypto is not banned in my country even though it was not legalized yet as we still have the chance to own crypto. Legalization is not possible in any country when leaders don't just think about themselves but also the benefits of their people. Greediness and lack of knowledge are some reasons why some countries ban and do not legalize crypto.
549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes just flex it ( luck is all you need) on: September 28, 2023, 10:22:58 AM
There's nothing wrong with flexing your win, especially with odds of 100.00. That's for sure a very lucky bet for you, man, something you should be happy about. Personally, if I had won with those kinds of odds, I would do the same, as that would somehow give me satisfaction. After all, us gamblers do not win all the time; in fact, we lose most of the time, that's a fact.
550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: September 28, 2023, 09:49:35 AM
I'm also expecting that it won't be easy for the Gilas because we've seen that Jordan is a good team as well. With this roster, I'm still hoping that they'll be able to beat them.
Let's just say that they aren't really a good team; maybe they're just too lucky with their outside shooting. Lamb and Lish are the players who helped the team, at least to stay close to the Philippines. In the first half, it was Lamb, and in the second half, especially the fourth quarter, it was Lish. What's important is that Gilas won the game; it was a hard-earned victory. So, I guess they are ready to face Jordan in their next scheduled match.

Gilas will have one day of rest, and they will play against Jordan on Saturday. It's good that the game will start at 5:30 PM, not too early like the last two games.

So, Kabayan, let's keep our support strong.
551  Economy / Economics / Re: Has everyone become too pesimistic about the economy? on: September 27, 2023, 10:22:30 AM
I simply don't see where the recession of a thing or the economic instability of the USD is coming from. Fine, they are not yet entirely out of the wood but the days of desperation and panic are certainly not now.

I think people's purchasing power is weakening which is participating in this and then energy commodities are shooting up, causing inflation to soar high. Yes. Hot inflation has made the world's central banks decide to tighten monetary policy by raising interest rates. In the end, this was considered a recession trigger.

While it is clear that difficult days will come, people act pessimistic because they see the possibility of this happening. There is no point in being pessimistic when difficult times come. That's why the behavior people do now is quite normal. I think not being pessimistic at this stage is like being a dreamer.

Being pessimistic can sometimes lead to not making mistakes. This behavior of people stems from their own instincts and is a very natural behavior.
It is a matter of fact that whatever happens to our economy, we have to remain strong and face the challenge unless we don't need to survive.
We can't easily give up because our economy went down, such a mindset will take you down and make you feel hopeless. Instead, we find ways to help ourselves without thinking about what the government can do for us. We are still able to survive this troubling economy if we work hard and take every opportunity to earn money.
552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with spam and scam tokens on my wallet? on: September 27, 2023, 07:37:16 AM
These are the solutions you can try out for that.

1. Ignore it
2. Hide the scam tokens.

I don't personally recommend this. These tokens were being sent by the scammers for a reason, as long these tokens are in your wallet, you are most probably under their radar. So, if you knew your being targeted by the scammers, it's better to move to another wallet and permanently leave that address, because if you keep using the same address, chances are you're going to lose some assets without you knowing especially when theres a lot of aciltivities within that address and the stored assets are pretty much attractive to the scammer already, you'd be in danger for sure.

That wallet has already been exposed to scammers and yes, many incidents happen where someone (scammer) will ask to send back their money and take a chance to scam. Ignoring would be best but must be prepared as well for what will happen next. Because even if you create a new wallet for the sake of escaping from these scammers, they can still trace the event of your transaction and catch you in a new wallet. If ever we create another wallet, better not to connect this to our old wallet.
553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 27, 2023, 06:33:16 AM
Inoue's camp provided a statement to continue the hype and to check if how fans will engaged especially those who wanted to see the potential
of giving Casimero his chance to be inside the ring against "The Monster"
The fans are waiting and I think the hype is still there. So if this fight will push through, many fans of these boxers will be delighted that finally it will going to happen. Thus, hope they consider before the monster move up in division.
The fight will probably happen because, in the end, boxing is entertainment, and fans want to see an exciting match. The more fighters try to make it happen, the better. I believe Casimero's camp has no problem with that, but Inoue should also be willing to take some risks if he considers Casimero a tough challenger.

If this fight doesn't happen, it's like fans are being robbed of a great spectacle.

It's likely that there's a rematch clause since both are champions, and I'm pretty sure Inoue would make sure he would have the option of a rematch in case an upset happened. However, I wouldn't think of a possible upset, and I don't think Tapales' camp will activate that rematch if Inoue has a clear dominant win in this fight.
There's always a possibility for this scenario to happen. But if we think of what might be the realistic outcome of this fight, upset is unlikely knowing how good the monster is. That's why he is also confident to win and unified the title though still, this is not official yet.

We have our champion here, Tapales, and yet we don't believe he could beat Inoue. Instead, we think Casimero, who isn't even ranked highly, might give Inoue some significant trouble.

Congratulations to our Gilas Pilipinas player, we have our first win in the Asian games.

Well-oiled Gilas trumps Bahrain in Asiad opener

Quote
Gilas opened its Asiad gold medal journey with an 89-61 drubbing of Bahrain Tuesday at the ZJU Gymnasium in Hangzhou, China.

That was a big statement from the start, winning by 28 points.
Congrats to our Gilas. Although many are saying that Bahrain isn't a strong team. We're all cheering for them that this win is going to continue but we all know that there's one tough team that's also included in the group.
Yeah, there are still two more games in the bracket. We will know if Gilas will remain consistent. Actually, it's not necessary for them to win dominantly, as I don't expect that. A win is a win, so no matter how they win, it's already a success. As of now, I believe no sport that the Philippines is representing has won a gold medal. Hopefully, we will have one soon, as China is still dominating with a large number of medals.

I've seen some praises for the team, especially for Tim Cone. I think his system is really working for the team, as I've noticed some good plays. They don't force their shots, there's no one-on-one plays; they are sharing the ball well, and everyone is shooting with a high percentage.
This is what many have noticed and sorry but they probably are expecting that there will be a comparison between the past coaching management and how Tim Cone handles this squad. Commended for the coaching staff and of course to our heroes.

Coach Chot will probably learn from Coach Tim Cone if their journey here is successful. I'm wondering if we will face the same lineup from China in case Gilas has a chance to play against them.

I watched the game live until the end and I could that there are still things that need to be done like limiting the turn-overs as we could not afford to have lots of turn-overs against Jordan or even Thailand. Bahrain is not a strong team and their import Wayne Chism is not the player he used to be when he was playing in the PBA as an import, which contributed a lot to Bahrain being blown out by the Gilas team.

Nevertheless, it was a good start, and hope they improve on the TOs in the next game against Thailand on September 28.

It's good that you saw it live; I just watched the highlights, and it was mostly offensive highlights. What site are you using for streaming? Are there also fellow countrymen streaming it on Facebook? I would love to see their next game as I think it will be more challenging compared to Bahrain.

If this is the same format as FIBA, then we need to win in our bracket to advance to the quarter-finals. The way I see it, I think there's no team in our bracket that is very superior, so we have a chance to advance.

557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gives the poor an Opportunity. on: September 25, 2023, 10:59:36 AM
Unfortunately, most poor people don't have the courage and capabilities to put their money at risk. Indeed, it was a great opportunity for them and for everyone but can urge them to consider investing in Bitcoin, they also have some priorities in life more than making an investment. Most of them are financially illiterate and there is no other thing on their mind but to just survive and be content with what they have now.

Investment needs money and the poor don't have that much start(I'm talking about those who are really poor). A reason why we can hear that Bitcoin is only for rich people.
558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Earnings on: September 24, 2023, 10:32:47 AM
I am a newbie in bitcoin I want to learn a lot about bitcoin I want to do marketing and trading with bitcoin if any of you are expert or if someone is more skilled please give me some suggestion so that I can do something good and my future is good.  can shine through bitcoin and i can stay away from casino and gambling games and without these two means i can earn money in my life and i can work hard to earn bitcoin everyone.
Do focus on learning one thing first at a time. And you don't need someone to teach you about Bitcoin because it can be found already on the internet and the only you need is to spend time reading and watching online tutorials. But I would tell you that even if you have learned everything about Bitcoin, trading, etc....never expect that you can earn that fast and easily. Many people assume that they already gained enough knowledge and skills, and fail.

That was a good decision to leave gambling life for this won't give you profit but if you just wanted to please yourselves in doing, why not?
559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu (SHIB): The Rising Star Redefining the Crypto Landscape on: September 24, 2023, 09:54:51 AM
I am pretty sure that 99.9999% of all people that have invested in SHIB thought they would make a nice profit out of it, as when it got launched it went up like crazy. I also invested in it (a while ago) and have around 50% loss so unless we get another bull market and all coins go up like crazy, I will end up with a loss.
You lose because you are late already but if have invested in this project during its hyped, you will be making a huge profit as well like others. Unfortunately, you'll make a mistake from choosing this while the hype is over and I will tell you that it was hard to expect from a project that comes from hype to rise again. Shiba was known in the fast few days but it was already closing its popularity then and all the investors who are still holding this is already suffering losses.
560  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading bots... do they work? on: September 22, 2023, 10:00:33 AM
What you did in actual trading is somewhat the same as what you have set up for trading bots. The only advantage of having this is that you have never stressed yourself as you let the bots do the things as it was on the command. Now, the question if that will work efficiently - well, that is something to ask ourselves if we are really good at trading or just like a newbie. Because the truth is that the results of using trading bots lies with the person who uses them. Trading bots works based on the command, not in its own way.
