1521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible for Traditional Banks to cooperate with Crypto on: July 04, 2022, 02:30:01 PM
Until these banking institutions see that people are still in the use of fiat money, that absolutely makes them not cooperate with crypto, it wasn't the time yet, maybe soon when the majority are adapting crypto already. But I'm still uncertain if that be going to happen as these crypto holder/investors don't need banks anymore as they can use online/offline wallet to store their cryptos. I'd see them as no use anymore unless they will offer responsibility and consider them as a storage platforms like they did with fiat money.
1522  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading is good for traders with passive mindset on: July 04, 2022, 01:48:53 PM
Not to special mention but trading isn't for passive mindset ONLY, this is for those who are willing to take risks and understand the volatility of the market. We can't just play the market and make a profit because we have such a mindset. I know it was also important but in the reality, people who claim they are good had failed but those who keep quiet and enjoy themselves have been successful. It needs hard work and patience which I believe that not all of us have this stuff and these people don't just have a positive mindset but have a certain goal that they want to achieve.
1523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Downfall still possible? on: July 01, 2022, 12:02:02 PM
Expect more fall.
I don't see the reason yet for a pump to happen. There's just no big event that is happening in both Bitcoin and Altcoins yet. I guess I am lucky my portfolio is not down by 95%.
That was obviously our market view. We have to prepare for the possible downfall rather than being too exaggerated about it as to whatever we do, we can't make a change the situation.

I know that we don't want this to happen, yet we find this a great opportunity to start our journey in crypto. It can't be appreciated right away, not all do especially at this time as we can't make a profit immediately. However, if we clearly understand the situation and are able to adapt to the nature of the market, definitely it would change.
1524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: July 01, 2022, 10:08:57 AM
Looking at the current odds:

ML
Alvarez - 1.21
GGG - 3.95

So that is a huge disparity as far as the odds goes and they seems to really favoring Alvarez here. Maybe the age factor is what this bookies are looking at, GGG just won his last fight, while Canelo lost to Bivol. I think it's a great odds for GGG supporters this early as it is very attractive.

I'm glad that the odds are out already. The odds of GGG is indeed very attractive, I mean, I know he has not won a fight in the last 2 fight against Canelo but that 3.95 is just too much as GGG was not fully dominated in the last 2 fights, so I believe he has a very good chance of winning here by upset.
Yes, it was a good odds for us, it's hard to see crypto bookies putting a odd like that for a great boxer like GGG. But he is facing Canelo, so what can we say.

But as you have said, there is chance for GGG by an upset here. Specially if he found his second win at his age. Great fighters has one good fight in them, and hopefully this will be the one for GGG.

They know what they are doing because it's their job to provide odds for us, however, I am seeing this as an opportunity, so as a bettor, I will take it and believe that GGG will win.  Both are great boxers, probably will be a hall of famer as well when they retire, so no one is really an underdog here and bookies could be wrong.

How about some survey here?

Please @Op put some poll to vote so we will know what's the majority's choice in this fight.

I'm sure there are also plenty of fans that believe GGG will win the fight, so it's very interesting to know who wins here.

That's right, lots of GGG fans here including me.  Grin

@bisdak40 is the OP, you can send him a message about your request if he doesn't see this post.
1525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 01, 2022, 09:12:33 AM

So I guess the perfect time to bet on ML when it was 2.x is gone already and yeah, it won't back down and no where we gonna see that odds again for Magsayo. So this is a big fight and rightfully that the odds are going to be close.

That's correct but you can still get a decent odds now if you are eligible already of a price boost from sportsbet.

Odds with price boost is 1.88 only but with price boost it will increase to 1.97.

1527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin FUD is for losers. BE A WINNER. Stay Cool- Be Positive =D on: June 30, 2022, 12:41:52 PM
Exactly, FUD is for losers but we can gain from their action by buying the coins that they are dumping. Trading is only for smart people, you don't use your emotion here, you use your brain because that will give you a chance to be profitable in trading.

Thing is, when bear market comes, people easily panic and these people are those who bought during the bull run or those who got FOMO.
So, crypto investing or trading is not really for everyone.
1528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 30, 2022, 12:10:20 PM
My favourite team in NBA are currently Brooklyn Nets. It depends on what team Durant goes to actually.  Grin  However Nets haven't been doing very well for a long time. They have made signings like Seth Curry and Ben Simmons to change the starting five a little. Because they weren't playing that much well before. Seth Curry adapted to the team and started performing nicely. I hope to see his contribution getting bigger next season. However I have big doubts about Ben Simmons. He has had a lasting injury and I don't know how strong he will be able to perform by next season.
I was hoping this time there would be no more drama from Ben Simmons. That's what I want to see and help out Durant posting more wins for the Brooklyn Nets. This will prove if the Nets management really made a good decision in that recent trade for James Harden. The unanswered question was if the Nets knew about that back issue of Ben that had been coming back over and over. I hope they did.
Seth Curry is the big bonus from that trade though, that brother could make it rain 3's sometimes but his strength really comes from his defense. I wish they could maximize that.

The drama will always attached to Ben Simmons, no matter where he goes, I mean the way he severed his ties with the Sixers that drag them for the whole season. So I guess it's more on the mentality of Ben now, no one can help him except himself. Durant could be a good mentor, but what if Ben is missing those free throws and becomes a liability then? So it will haunt him until he improved his free throws or even take a good shot outside so that he can silence his critics.

He is already out in the team that he doesn't like to play anymore, so there's no reason for him to still not give his best. I expect him to be a superstar with the Nets and will help Durant to be in the NBA Finals. I hope the rumors are not true that Durant is looking to play in another team, Nets are still a good team IMO as long as Durant will have a support from the other superstar and that is Simmons.
1529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Going hard on these projects on: June 29, 2022, 02:14:32 PM
I want these altcoins by all means, not in a bad way though, I believe they can add more value in my life by 2025, just five altcoins, though i planned for ten projects but I believe these five are the best.

1. Moonbeam   ATH: 19$  Possible prediction: 100$
2. Elrond            ATH: 540$  Possible Prediction: 1000$ to 2000$
3. Near               ATH: 20$    Possible Prediction: 250$
4. Solana.           ATH: 260$   Possible Prediction: 1200$
5. Mina protocol       ATH: 9$   Possible Prediction: 30$

What do you think? Any project you feel is better, minus BTC and ETH is welcome.
You can't just overthink that by 2025 these coins will grow that fast but you must have to consider the reason why it goes to that certain price. I won't have to think negatively but seeing them, we can't deny the value of these coins to grow that high is impossible.
Honestly, Solana is just a known project on the list but even that, still can't be sure about their future. What I can say is that you are risking too much if you won't change your mind.
1530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 29, 2022, 10:13:18 AM
But they will get nothing in return if they get a player as injured prone as John Wall, And it's pretty obvious that his prime years are gone already and even if he forced himself, (would be a mistake) he might get injured again. I think the best option for Clippers is just to wait for Leonard to be healthy and Paul George. The role players have adopted and I would say that they are just waiting for the team to be 100% healthy and that is their biggest chance to go to the playoff next season, not getting John Wall.
If it's the Clippers I don't think they need another star. Strengthening their bench might be their best choice if they want progress. That way even if Leonard or Paul George is injured someone could handle the holes left by them.

We saw Norman Powell played at the last few games of the season, that's a good sign for them and Terance Mann is gaining more experience looking like a young Kawhi Leonard in the making. I would focus on making these players be at their best and creating a closer chemistry rather than creating chaos by messing up the roster. My 2 cents.
Clippers might be looking for a shortcut and they want to build right away a championship team. It's not the players that made this team better but their system, so as long as the system is working, anyone who would play with the team will get better.

We do know that shortcut might not work for players that are injury prone like Wall. Lakers try to make that formula last season, with WB and Melo and others good by way past their prime stars, but it was a disaster. So for me, no need to get that route, no shortcuts. They really has to work very hard, just like what the Warriors have to endure when they have a lot of injuries. But instead they have to go back, long hard and grind and after 2 years, they are the champions again.

Well, they know better so I will just trust their decision in case they will trade a bunch of players for John Wall. I feel that Clippers are looking for another option in case Leonard gets injured again and with PG and Wall, I think they can still be a championship team.
1531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: June 29, 2022, 09:36:28 AM

^^ That's the odds that my favorite bookies released just recently and it is somewhat interesting because the way i see it, it's almost even though Magsayo is the slight underdog but it is not what i expected because in my mind the odds for Magsayo would be at least @3 but i'm still happy with that.

1.71 for Vargas, 2.02 for Magsayo latest odds.

Nah, they are not willing to give Magsayo that 3.x odds that we are expecting, Lol. Because sport bookies knows that Magsayo is a live underdog here and definitely has the tools to beat Vargas with his power alone. But still good or us, double our money right now if we are going to bet this early as the odds might slid a bit and we might see like 1.89 odds as we get closer to the fight date.
I'm surprised with the odds, I think I might take that this early as we never know if that will move in favor of Magsayo. I will also wait for the full market of odds, the KO rounds prediction is more attractive than the ML odds.

1533  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculators : Bitcoins is up now 21k buy buy buy ! but... on: June 28, 2022, 01:06:03 PM
Don't buy now, I'm telling you people. The market is still likely to go down much further since it's just been the start of this bear market so if I were you, maybe save that money and wait for it or hope for it to go down much further because we know that it's volatile and the possibility for bitcoin's movement is still unpredictable.
Well, I really see what unpredictable means, and you can't be sure that it drops more. How about if you were wrong and it happens that the market will pump, are you willing to take the blame for discouraging people not to invest? I couldn't see the term "Unpredictable" is only for the dump - we certainly don't know what happen next and by simply taking the risk, buying Bitcoin now is somewhat an opportunity, and besides, we can still buy more if ever it drops again.
1534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins dead? on: June 28, 2022, 12:41:38 PM
This could be the end of certain altcoins in the market, but speaking of Ethereum, ADA, XRP and TRON are quite different, these coins have gone through various difficulties in the market, so they are strong to survive, achieving ATH can be difficult for them, even tends to be in a stable price without rapid movements, but Ethereum could make a different surprise in future market recovery conditions, especially if bitcoin can react above current expectations in the market
They are quite different and that was because they belong to the highly respected projects in the market which are known for their profitability and for long-term investment. Yet, dead is worth calling for useless and shitcoins, they are expected to die during the market crash, and sadly, another set of shitcoins to pop up then after.

Therefore, making a choice of these coins are worth enough. We don't have to feel worried, not even to think negatively as they all will rally once the market recover.
1535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: June 27, 2022, 08:41:55 AM
That's right, because sometimes being overconfident will actually make him self-destructive because if you are too confident, it will make your opponent able to find a gap there.
Now he's quite the underdog but on the other hand that's not a guarantee either because when the fight is done. It's just about whose punch is the best and what strategy he takes is what wins.
Magsayo will surely mentally prepared for this since as a boxer, you also need to train yourself with regards to this one or else you’ll suffer mental block during the match. Boxer always have their own confidence especially if you are the defending champion, so with this Magsayo is defending the belt and I’m sure he is more confident for this match and he is really working hard for this.
In terms of strength, I really believe in Magsayo and indeed everyone must be confident so that there can be no burden in fighting, but on the other hand, as before, you can be confident but not too confident.
I am also in Magsayo's side for now but that doesn't mean we have to underestimate Vargas in this case because we all know that Vargas' power is also quite difficult to beat.
Nah, he cannot do that, instead, he needs to see Vargas as a tough opponent so he will train harder. The chance that this fight will end in a KO by Magsayo is huge, but he has to improve his movement so he will not gassed out, his head movement and quickness has to be present as he cannot frustrate himself if he cannot hit Vargas with a clean shots, that's why patience is a must.
1536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 27, 2022, 08:18:28 AM

I can not see it again even in my history of watching videos, but yeah if this is what Kyrie Irving wants I think he really wants to exit Brooklyn Nets and maybe want to go to the Los Angeles Lakers now because that is what the rumors are saying, ut even though he has down crazy stuff in the past, he is still human and could potentially make mistakes no one is actually perfect but Rumors have said that Irving will be going back in forming a team with Lebron James and Anthony Davis on the Lakers while Kevin Durant would be playing with Damian Lillard on the Portland Trailblazers if this is true then this could be goodbye to Brooklyn Nets,

So he will reunite with Lebron and will eat his words that he left Cleveland because he doesn't want to be the shadow of Lebron James forever, and that's what will happen if he will play with the LA Lakers.  Grin
1537  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My First Investments on: June 26, 2022, 11:30:03 PM
I am a newbie and would like to invest $1000 to start. I have read that I should put 40 percent into bitcoin and diversify the other 60 percent. I need opinions, advice, and anything from those with experience of positive value. Smiley
I was wrong before thinking that if I put huge shares in Altcoins I'll be earning more but sadly most of my altcoins dump while Bitcoin is on the surge. I do realize that putting more on Bitcoin is a smart decision and suggesting that instead of allocating 60% to altcoins, you'd better make it to invest in Bitcoin while 40% is for altcoins. Bitcoin is the most reliable asset in crypto, you can't be wrong with that even putting everything into this project as this will survive and potentially considered as a long-term investment.
1538  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not panic. Everything will get better on: June 26, 2022, 11:07:13 PM
The first attitude is very suitable to be applied and very many traders experience tremendous panic when they see the market price drop, especially Bitcoin

Actually no investor will invested to hear that the market is going dip, on a general view there maybe panic at first place but what gives the confidence in going on is in knowing on what was the investment made, that's why it is very necessary to understand how to invest and on what to invest, so many people fall a victim and end up a looser just because of a wrong investment, another considering factor is on when to invest, hold and sell, if one invested on bitcoin which is apparently the best option for am investment then it must be well understood on when and how to sell or hold in other to make profit and not loss.
Panis, worries are very natural but because we believe and trust our invested coins, we tend to control them and let our emotions heal eventually. But for those who are doubtful at first, I'm very certain that they will immediately sell their coins. This is the difference between real investors and those who have just come for easy money. Perhaps, this crypto investment is ideal only for those who commit to waiting and are willing to lose, not meant for the people who are weak hands.
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: June 24, 2022, 03:59:56 AM
^^ Chin doesn't change though, your styles will evolved, but your chin doesn't. Just look at Amir Khan, he has known to be have a china chin and it didn't improved even if he is trained by famed coach Roach back in the days. They say they did train his neck, but we've seen that he still have that chin that when anyone touches he will go down or knock out. So if Magsayo landed on his chin perfectly and with good power, he might go down for good.

I will have to agree on this, even though that is a long time ago he has been knock down in his career as I have said. So his chin will remain like that and I don't think that anyone, including Roach or even Alex Ariza that time. If my memory serves me right, he also was the strength and conditioning coach of Khan during his stint at Wild card gym.

I think most boxers have a soft chin, it also depends on who hits the boxer because if a boxer is a KO artist and his opponent has a weak chin, then it should result in an automatic knockout. We also have to remember that some boxers know their weakness, and therefore they will try to avoid getting hit on their weakness while still winning the fight, that's what you called smart boxing.
1540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 24, 2022, 03:39:50 AM
There is also this trade involving DeAnthony Melton to Sixers in exchange of lucky charm Danny Green and no. 23 pick.

https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2022/06/grizzlies-to-trade-deanthony-melton-to-sixers-for-no-23-pick.html

Not sure if this is a good trade of Memphis though, they already have some good outside shooters, not sure how Danny Green can contribute more. Maybe his experience is needed by Memphis. So let's see who is going to win in this trade. But for now, it looks like this is a bad trade for Memphis.

Probably the experience is what they are looking for in that trade. Danny Green has won a championship already in different teams and has been in the playoffs many times. They won't make that decision if they don't see they'll benefit from that trade, maybe Green's journey with the 76ers is going to be over soon, but the sixers will not forget him as he contributed to the team as well.

By the way, Green's 3 point shooting is not consistent anymore, but he can defend, so that's what make him a versatile player.
