541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: are all tokens shit? on: December 12, 2017, 05:09:15 AM
can anyone give a good token. been studying and observing them.

i think ICOs now have become more shit and lazy than ICOs  pre ethereum.

before they develop their blockchain  and wallet first. so you at least have a working wallet.

ICOs now developers are active before ICO and becomes lazy after ICO. they just make whitepapers
and some fancy website. geez some ICOs that gathered millions in just a few minutes doesnt even want to pay big exchanges to get listed.

EDIT: IM TALKING ABOUT ERC20 TOKENS ICO INSIDE ETH OR OTHER COINS LIKE ETH. NOT ALL ALT COINS

I have been involved in some in the past but all I can say is that the ability to create token on ETH or Waves has made developers lazy. There is even a way to that a token can be created if you have the skills within few hours, get a team, put something together and lauch ICO prior to the time where you will have to have your own node running with blockchain. This has in no small way affect the project that enough energy have been put to make it happen. But that's is not to say all are shit as my eyes and studying is on this token I'm wearing its signature.
542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is King and Ethereum is Queen , Do you agree ? on: December 11, 2017, 09:43:27 PM
I don't see any other option as at today(dont know what might happen tomorrow) that wants to take the place of the two in terms of acceptance and popularity although quite a number of people especially developers who are involved in one project or the other in creating "the next ETH or BTC" might disagree on that as they would have several of reasons to argue for their position or against but the fact still remain the fact and that is bitcoin is the king, ETH is the queen.
543  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading or working in signature campaigns? on: December 11, 2017, 02:14:53 PM
What do you think should be done?
These days bitcoins are not given directly in campaign but tokens are given and very less campaign give bitcoins purely.
What would you do?campaign or trading?

You see these days and days before, bitcoin are not being given rather they pay in bitcoin. The only place I know where Satoshis is being given is through faucets but there are still so many campaigns that pays in bitcoin you just need to position yourself to be picked. On which one is better, there is no basis to compare the two because the amount you can earn in campaigns in a month can be earned through trading in just one day doing the right analysis and making the right decision regarding the coins to buy and the ones to sell
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRE-ICO] Graft - credit card and crypto payment processing network on: December 11, 2017, 09:03:07 AM
I commend you for this.  When mining is live, not on testnet, will it be possible to mine only on CPU.  If one doesn't have any GPU's to mine with, will a laptop suffice?

For a start I think the CPU will be adequate because the whole Graft mining will be like bitcoin mining which start from CPU to GPU when the hashrate goes up.

[/hr]
Dear Graft Project,
You said Graft token will be available on exchange after the ICO could specify the exchange?

Would the Graft token also available on Coin cap market?
Is it not better you focus on the project first and after the ICO, then discussion can now be directed towards when it will be listed on the exchange sites and which one specifically.  The team have said it will be listed, and I believe they will keep to their word.

I also wanna suggest an ANN thread for btt users, we are interested in updates and news related to the project. Do you have some telegram channel available?

for discussion and engagement with the team, join the Telegram group https://t.me/GraftNet
for official announcement, check out the Telegram Channel https://t.me/graftnetofficial

Official announcement on telegram? What of those of us not on that platform. If it wont be too much stress, I think there should also be a further dissemination on the project progress on this ANN thread as well so we will all be informed. Telegram is good but it might be to clumsy and easy to miss important update which is very much easy on the forum.
545  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: are the majority of the people part time traders? on: December 10, 2017, 09:01:02 PM
I mean of all the people who are trading do majority just do it as a side job for just a little profit or most of the traders dedicated traders who don't have any side jobs?
What type of trader are you?

I am a part time trader and even do intermittently because its takes a lot of guts to go in fully which I am yet to garner. Although the profit is there so also the ability and possibility to make unlimited losses so the best is just to take time, learn gradually, make the loses and enjoy the little profit. Another reason why I do part time trading is because of the nature of the job I do that does give time to full time trading but if there is more time, it can be invested into trading.
546  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earn 1% Bitcoin you have invest everyday on: December 10, 2017, 05:34:19 PM
Want to learn how to grow your Bitcoin at around 1% a day?

And did you know you that you don't actually need to buy a whole bitcoin to get started..?

It was designed with sub-unit precision making it divisible to 8 decimal places with the smallest unit of bitcoin being called a Satoshi (0.00000001 bitcoin). So suppose right now:
1 bitcoin cost $10,000
0.1 bitcoin cost $1,000
0.01 bitcoin cost $100
0.001 bitcoin cost $10
0.0001 bitcoin cost $1

....and given it's predicted to rocket to $28,000 a bitcoin by end of 2018, it's worth understanding how to get in! Nothing to pay - no sign up fees... happy to help for those interested.

Message me if you'd like to start learning about making Bitcoin work for you.

want to see happy world 🌎 win win

Wow this is so enlightening I wonder if a lot of people here didn't even know about this that we are all waiting for you to tell us how to go about it. But come to think of it, this should go to the beginners section of the forum because to me, you have not added value because quite a number of people here who are into trading have gone beyond the point of understanding the way bitcoin is denominated rather they are concerned with know the right time to buy and sell and not only bitcoin are they interested in, but also other coins.
547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I the only one this unlucky during my entry into investments and crypto? on: December 10, 2017, 04:47:04 PM
A lot of people have experiences with day trading which is obvious Op is doing but the best is that just take it that winning is not always every time and sometimes when the market looks bad, it's a preparation for something big is about to happen and in some other scenario, its an indication to exit the market. I have my own share too but at the end the lessons as well as the cumulative gain, might outshine the losses if done the right way.
548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RED SUNDAY - cryptocurrencies dropping like bricks on: December 10, 2017, 08:06:29 AM
Its really not a surprise at all the massive increment it gained last week is something a reasonable person should not expect it to last long. Once in a while the entire market would see a high price then later it retorgress its shows a normal sign because if its just up and up without anything like this, then its time people should get out. But now, price is just try to get a base for the next level to be achieved.
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have lost hope in ETHEREUM - Pending transaction won't complete on: December 10, 2017, 07:30:55 AM
The issue about ETH this last few days has been something that is discouraging and it seems there is no way to turn to in this issue of forever confirmation time because the next best alternative to bitcoin from my point is ETH and if ETH is exhibiting the same issue of bitcoin, then it means they are same thing and one is not trying to correct the error of another and every other forked coin out there. I just hope this can be sorted out soon.
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment size on: December 09, 2017, 07:24:38 AM
wow its a big investment, right now i just use my little money to invest on token of ICO, the maximum of value of investment around $100 - $500 only and hope that investment get some profit small amount

Big investment is a relative statement just be sure what you are putting is what you can afford, not going beyond your means and expect decent returns on your investment rather than looking for $500 returns on investment of $50 within 3days. For me, I have made quite an investment which is within the range of $500 to $1000 and that is what is within my own ability to put at this time of the year.
551  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any exchanges with no ID requirement if no fiat involved? on: December 06, 2017, 05:59:48 AM
Based on several submissions it just obvious one cannot have everything those that  don't want KYCs its either you can't convert to fiat or you have to pay fixed amount as fees. While the ones that KYCs is compulsory, you get more services in terms of reduced fees and the amount of units you can trade with. I guess one just have to live with the amount of information about yourself you are willing to share.
552  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: how to find legit signature campaign on: December 05, 2017, 08:05:20 PM
how to find and register for a legit signature campaign

To determine a legit campaign might be tasking especially if its in the bounties section of the forum where we have had several campaigns turned out to be scam and people worked without being paid while some because the project was not accepted by the community then there is no way to pay the participants. A good step to identify is the manager, there are managers who because of the value they place in their name would not accept a campaign that payment would not be guaranteed, with them the bulk of the job concerning legitimacy has been done for any participants. All you need to do is to identify those managers and watch out for their campaigns.
553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You Think an $8000 Bitcoin Price Is Cool? Wait Until We Hit $12000 in January on: December 05, 2017, 06:18:09 PM
Pretty precise prediction Cheesy

To be really precise then Op just need to increase the 12000$:cap he had there because in a matter of days, the cap would be exceeded hopefully and he would have been undervaluing bitcoin price for someone coming in to see the thread after that. Times like this, expectations are high that prices will increase and if any investor is smart, this is the time to hop into the game.
554  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC rate when bitcoin will mined on: December 05, 2017, 05:12:00 PM
After all bitcoins get mined. There will be a limited stock left with us to trade with. With seeing its current demand its price will touch skies.

I don't think there would be limited bitcoin rather a lot of premium would be placed on the ones available by that time 1 satoshi could worth a lot more than it does today. Also, by that time, there rate of volatility would not be so high as we have it today because a lot of people would have heard and be involved, a lot of forks would have happen that new forks wont even make any difference, major events wont even make any major impact at all.
555  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuela to launch 'Petro' cryptocurrency on: December 05, 2017, 04:37:21 PM
Maduro to avoid the financial harassment from US and such has announced a crypto currency for Venezuela. Not exactly sure how this will make it any better then the currency they already have in a free fall. Can release of 'Petro' really help Venezuela?

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-venezuela-economy/enter-the-petro-venezuela-to-launch-oil-backed-cryptocurrency-idUSKBN1DX0SQ

If that is the main reason why he is going that route, then his advisers are not doing the right thing. It would have been better if he decides to go for bitcoin because to a large extent, bitcoin can be used for international trade but Petro currency would just be like their normal currency which is not accepted in international market and that would still make them come back to the dollars they are running away from. Its either you accept bitcoin and get the benefit or don't but you can get the two.
556  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin reach $15000 mark by first quarter of 2018 ? on: December 05, 2017, 02:24:43 PM
Let's not consider the recent price dip because we all know that it will raise again in sometime but do you think bitcoin will git the mark of $15000 by the end of March 2018?

End of first quarter is a about 4 months from now which is a long time for that to happen if you ask me because we might get there latest mid-January if not earlier and its because of the lined up forks that have been earmarked to happen which whether we admit or not have been responsible for pushing the price forward and if one or two forks could get to a high level, I wonder what the proposed 4 forks will do to price.
557  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: 500 BTC for sale on: December 05, 2017, 12:19:49 PM
Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen!
My friend from Moscow wants to make a deal to sell 500BTC for cash (cash may be in any currency).
Exchange rate Bitstamp + 1.5%

If someone has constructive suggestions, please contact me via PM.
The proposal is active due today and tomorrow.
Looking forward to hear from you.

I don't know why I have issues believing this to be true because for someone to have as much as this BTC and don't know how to cash out is something that sound fishy. That being said, if you don't want to cause yourself unnecessary stress, remove the notion that you will be cashing out at once because that is moving out millions of dollars, I am sure government anti laundering unit will be on your door the next morning. A way out is to do it gradually using several means exchange sites, individuals, peer to peer sites, conversion to gift cards etc.
558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bittrex. What happen? on: December 05, 2017, 11:04:39 AM
There is lots of users on bittrex exchange, they say their account disabled. no support from bittrex. Cointelegraph says to receive many complaints.

What do you think happen at bittrex right now?

One explanation to what is happening with Bittrex is that they have grown so big and they feel they should start being selective on the people that they allow on their platform now. Another explanation is that they are facing the heat from the regulatory authority and they decide which one to go with either to raise up the standard for those who will trade with them or go out of business as a result of government actions against them. If I am a businessman, I will choose the latter.
559  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is 50% correction on BTC possible? on: December 05, 2017, 06:12:50 AM
With the current continuing rise of Bitcoin price, we expect a correction coming soon. Do you it can reach around 50%? Give us your thought and own prediction.

A correction of 50% is difficult but not impossible because in the crytpo world, its safe to say nothing is impossible but at the same time, we cannot ascribe the whole of the increase in price to pump and when that should fail, other reasons that have contributed to the increase in the first place, are expected to hold fort for the price not to fall as low as 50% pending things might pick up again.
560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sustainability of BTC on: December 04, 2017, 09:37:58 PM
With the power requirements to run the BTC network continually increasing... what is the long term solution?  It doesn't seem viable that it can go on forever like this.  Anyone have good insight?  It's easy to just assume... "well there will be cheaper energy in the future" or "BTC will just switch to POS".... I guess I'm looking for answers with a little more substance and detail.  Thanks!

When it comes to sustainability, I don't think its in our place to start bothering over that because I believe that for Satoshi to have gone off the gird and not available to always do some update on what is going on, means to a large extent, most of the issues we bother ourselves over, had already been settled even before we all find our way to bitcoin. So intstead of bothering myself over what I cannot possibly change, I would rather focus it on things that matter and let sustainability takes care of itself.
