I am sure that some could just be moving coin around or putting it into different wallets?

It is interesting for sure though.

I'm working under the assumption that the $1M stems from a Mt Gox wallet 1QAHVyRzkmD4j1pU5W89htZ3c6D6E7iWDs as shown in this tx https://blockchain.info/tx/1b6ea350c094071412df1f801651263fd65ffa0b89ad6c8626ceeca8755f50bc

Then from here https://blockchain.info/address/16fus1FKurpDmPtEZLGbg7vRYtH2TEFbYf was transferred to a BitPay wallet currently residing here https://blockchain.info/address/1EXDF4fvjRozJ96TjF4SPN7rbTx2ik6Dsd

Mt Gox is the prime candidate for it's source, with CoinBase being the next available option. I don't believe that BitPay would put their brand in jeopardy by having funds transferred internally for the purpose of furthering their brand, not to mention BFL's and HashTrade's brand.

The bolded address belongs to our friend Loaded. Nice to see he's still holding. Haven't seen him around for a while

Care to take a gander at Loaded's wallet now?

Can anybody confirm or deny that https://blockchain.info/address/1QAHVyRzkmD4j1pU5W89htZ3c6D6E7iWDs is Mt Got's cold storage wallet? That's the source of the $1M USD down payment for the Multi (as in more than two) Million Dollar purchase for the future delivering of Monarchs from BFL to HashTrade, backed by the Jacobson Brothers who, according to SEC documents, seemed to have a pulled CoinLab at least once in the past.

Another informative post brought to you by TMIBITW.

If only I had found this thread sooner Tongue

EDIT: Funny how the only [tiny] image of the BitPay receipt (that I could find so far) is paired with an article written by someone from BFL </tinfoil hat>

Because I'm an awesome guy, I'm paying acorn $10 USD and Korbman $5 USD via bitcoins. Please provide me an address via PM so that I can pay you. Apologies for not PM'ing you both for the time being, for I'm busy.

"10 percent on households with positive net wealth"

Positive net wealth? It's funny how those who manage their money correctly pay for those who don't.

Remind me to never have a positive net wealth per se.

Anybody can have a zero or negative net wealth. Ask GE.

Cause he hate his original name.... some people calling it psycho....

Some asshole, name withheld, was referring to him as Psytoshi.

5746  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Monarch update on: November 05, 2013, 07:05:21 PM
Just because BFL are a terrible asic company to do business with doesn't mean we should pigeon hole every other BTC Asic company as the same.

I don't think anyone would disagree with this ASIC company comparison at all.

With regard to stereotyping in general, what can I say. Nobody is perfect. Our life experiences shape who we are. But yeah, a little bit of "foot-in-mouth" due to having a degree of respect for Bick. If you've never been rudely shrugged off by a Quebecois IN MONTREAL because you lack the ability to speak French, and they refuse to speak English, then, well, I guess I'm the asshole...

 Sorry for derailing this thread.

I hate people who apologize for derailing threads.

Wow! Impressive, acorn. Others should take the time and follow the above link to see how acorn attacked the task at hand.

Now, to checking to see if any of the resulted candidates is the likely tx we're seeking.

Three Currency Scams to Avoid at All Costs

Today I've been surprised a bit to find a paid advertisment pointing to this outdated article on the top of Google search results for "bitcoin".
I'm posting it here since i haven't found any reference to this article on bitcointalk.

Just curious why does wallstreetdaily pay for showing this "scam accusation" on google righ now. What a dirty game.

Pounds, Dinars and Bitcoin… Oh My!

One of our jobs here at Wall Street Daily is to help you sniff out scams a mile away. And for some reason, people are drawn to one troublemaker in particular: currency scams.

Maybe it’s the sheer mystery of investing in foreign currencies, like the dinar – or even fantasy currencies like Bitcoin. Either way, there are three currency stories making their rounds on the internet lately that are certainly garnering attention – which you should avoid at all costs.

WOW. Doesn't he realize that Bitcoin is the "cash" of the internet? His concerns are moot too.

First, Bitcoin is exactly like cash, meaning that if your physical wallet is stolen, then your cards and cash are gone. Exact same thing happens if someone hacks your Bitcoin wallet.

Second, the claim that "Bitcoin isn't regulated", though true, applies to cash as well. You can buy everything (both legal and illegal) with your beloved cash too.

Third, Bitcoin is NOT BACKED BY ANYTHING. The excahnges are. After all, the exchanges need to purchase Bitcoins from somewhere.

Also, if your gonna claim that something is a scam, then please, for the love of god, BACK UP YOUR CLAIMS WITH ACTUAL EVIDENCE, and not bogus reasons such as the things he mentions. I wish the media would actually take the time to learn what "scam" means.

Definition of "scam":
Quote
A confidence trick (synonyms include confidence scheme and scam) is an attempt to defraud a person or group after first gaining their confidence, in the classical sense of trust

Bitcoin does nothing of the like. Anti-Bitcoin press, leave us alone please.

Color me confused, but do exchanges really buy bitcoins?

I'm thinking of requesting a refund on my 2th.. doesn't look like they are on schedule

how are you going to get a refund?

http://cointerra.com/consumer-sales-agreement/

they are pretty clear that they don't want to ever give any money back for any reason

Sorry, Cointerra wasted all your money on a failed attempt to fix a broken chip design.

When more than a month has passed since mock tape-out, and no word of actual tape-out is spoken, we can read between the lines and see something is seriously wrong.

Cointerra probably realized their initial design was unworkable, had to start over from scratch, and then found out the second design wouldn't work either.

So far Cointerra's business model is:

1)  Collect $$$ from pre-orders and investdurrs.

2)  Waste money on failed chip designs

3)  Huh

4) PROFIT

5) Continue to run ads via Google

6) Huh

7) PROFIT some more.

Every, and I mean EVERY, website I visit for the very first time that participates in Google Adsense, I'm greeted with a CoinTerra ad. Butterfly ads used to be blatant, but not that blatant.

Neither one. The first one you submitted was for 11-5 and the one above is dated 11-4. We're looking for one dated prior to 10-28, probably mid October.

ช้างน้อย(Chaang Noi) is a euphemism for penis in Thai. Literal translation would be 'little elephant'.

I have always claimed to be a giant cock!

And yeah... 'little elephant' is correct.

I have always enjoyed little elephant stories: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qqE_WmagjY

I don't believe that's what I'm looking for, albeit that's probably one of BitPay's wallet. Scrolling through the wallet, I didn't see a SINGLE $1M USD transaction.

Anybody care to add $5 USD to the already handsome bounty to make it a little more worthwhile for the eventual winner?

I wonder if the Jacobson Brothers backing HashTrade who pre-ordered Monarchs with a $1M down payment read the news.

I love this comment:

Investor are dump to trust this guy and they should lose their money and not invest again in this guy.

Almost akin to Jean-Marc Jacobson donating a building in Montreal to himself to house the Bitcoin Embassy.

The Montreal Bitcoin Embassy was first announced on bitcointalk.org around the middle of June and they successfully secured a building in a beautiful section of Montreal and held a meetup 2 weeks ago.
5755  Bitcoin / Project Development / BOUNTY ~ Hunt down the $1M tx on the Block Chain to claim. on: November 05, 2013, 04:38:35 AM
I will pay $5 USD via BTC to the first person that posts the $1M tx located on the Block Chain. Sorry for it only being a small amount, BUT if anybody else would like to add to this bounty with another(s) $5 USD pledge, I will include your bounty in this post. $5 ain't much, so please don't commit a pledge consisting of some micro amount.

Specifically, I'm seeking the $1M USD down payment mentioned in this article: http://www.coindesk.com/bitpay-processes-1-million-bitcoin-order-butterfly-labs/

Quote
BitPay has processed its largest ever single transaction – $1 million for bitcoin mining hardware manufacturer Butterfly Labs.

BitPay, Butterflylabs and HashTrade all released press releases stating that it happened. I seek the tx and will pay handsomely to the first person who finds it.

Still no dump XD

BitPay won't do a dump. BTW, has anybody hunted down the tx? It'll be easy to spot. Just look for a 1000000 USD transaction. I think I'll post a bounty in Project Development.

Damn! Lost on betsofbitcoin, betting that Bitcoin would hit $1,000 USD before this thread hits 1,000 pages. Maybe Luke can help me find a loophole.

Fake Edit: Found one! USD was not stated so I'm claiming it was for CNY.
