581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: November 20, 2023, 12:49:53 PM
In some ways it is a welcomed break for the player to get away from the Premier League and play for the countries instead. The pressure of playing week in week out in the most exciting and competitive football league in the world cannot be overlooked. Some players will return with injuries or fatigue but others will be rejuvenated feeling fresh. I am looking forward to the games next weekend.

Why do you think Southgate has decided to omit Sterling from the England squad? He is in excellent form when playing for Chelsea. Sterling deserves to go to Euro 2024.

Rashford should not be playing for England because his form for Manchester United and England is simply not good enough. Also Henderson, how is he still part of the England squad?

I was about to make a post saying how I'm excited for the next fixtures thinking it was gonna be this weekend.  :/  Due to them being after the international break, some of them could become a bit more unpredictable.  And I hope nobody gets injured or gets a knock or something.

Yeah but it sucks for the club if the player gets back injured and unable to play for a couple of weeks or more.  And I'm not really a fan of international football but I do enjoy the World Cup and the Euros.  But mostly it's just the EPL for me and some UCL.

But yeah...  And I don't if it's just me but don't you guys get the feeling that most matches are usually low scoring after the players have returned from international break?

Oh...  I won at Belgium GP?  Is that in Superbru or the prediction contests in Games and Rounds?  I don't seem to remember winning or somebody telling me that I won.  Cheesy Cheesy  Still good to know tho.  I should've put more effort in this pool tbh.  It's just the paticipants are really good and it made me lose hope after 5 races or so.

Well, next event is in two weeks. Dont know how we gonna kill that time quick Cheesy But it promised to be much better than Allen vs Craig. At least 4 fights in main event card looks to be exciting. Hey tokeweed, are you ready to make fight card post or is lazy today like me? Cheesy

P.S. Btw, what do you guys do during these long pauses between events? Watch other promotions or power slap?

I very may well just do it...  If I'm not lazy.  Lol.  And if there aren't any events during a weekend I usually watch fight replays at YT or MMACore and wherever I could find them.  I also watch the EPL which I used be a huge fan of.  I still am but I haven't been watching it as much as I used to.  And there's also F1.  But my interest has been waning as of late too tbh.

Here's a fight reply that was uploaded in the UFC's Brazilian recently.  What a banger.

Didn't continue watching the race after the first 5 laps when Verstappen pushed Leclerc off the track, went off the track himself and he didn't give the position back to Leclerc.  If Verstappen tried pulling off a move like that against Hamilton pretty sure they would've crashed and be off the race as Hamilton wouldn't take any shenanigans from Verstappen.  Lmao.

These guys need to toughen up if they want to go toe to toe vs Verstappen imho.  Hamilton showed how it can be done.  And it's gonna be more entertaining for the fans.  Grin

Am I in profit?  From sports betting?  Yup, of course I'm not!  Lolol.  But I had that one year of having a good run at betting the EPL.  It was during 2017...  I thought I could do it as a side gig for extra cash but then the next couple of years I proceeded in giving back the books the money that I've won.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  So no.  Don't try to make sports betting as a form of 'work' kids.

It's fun tho cos it makes watching the matches more exciting.
586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 19, 2023, 12:32:34 PM
^  It was decent for just a fight night event in the Apex...  9 finishes out of 14 match ups.  I'd say it delivered and the results are a lot better than many of the past events this year.

Anyway here are the results.  I think 155 and 170 should be on the look out for this guy Orolbai.  I was surprised he beat up Uros Medic the way he did on short notice...  Pure dominance.

Brendan Allen def Paul Craig  Submission R3
Michael Morales def Jake Matthews  UD
Chase Hooper def Jordan Leavitt Submission R1
Payton Talbott def Nick Aguirre  Submission R3
Amanda Ribas def Luana Pinheiro  TKO R3
Myktybek Orolbai def Uros Medic  Submission R2
Joanderson Brito def Jonathan Pearce  Submission R2
Jose Johnson def Chad Anheliger  Submission R3
Christian Leroy Duncan def Denis Tiuliulin  TKO R2
Mick Parkin def Caio Machado  UD
Jeka Saragih def Lucas Alexander  KO R1
Ailín Pérez def Lucie Pudilova  UD
Trey Ogden vs Nikolas Motta  No Contest
Rafael Estevam def Charles Johnson  UD

And here's the post fight press conference.  Enjoy.  Wink

587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2023 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: November 18, 2023, 01:16:24 PM
^  You mean overall this whole season he's been disappointing...  I think the last race was his highlight for the whole season.  Lol.  But yeah, the question is if he could still redeem himself next season as Red Bull could have already earmarked a guy to replace him after his contract with the team ends.  As for who the replacement is, dunno...  But I'm hoping it's Daniel Ricciardo.  On his good days, he's way better than Perez imho.

Anyway, from a betting perspective...  Nada.  Verstappen at 1.29.  Not much meat on the bone imho.  But it could be a volatile race as this setmof drivers haven't raced in Vegas before.

What car is fastest on the straights?

You even ask what car is the fastest in straights? It is the Redbull in normal conditions and we have seen that in Monza it was Ferrari as they had setup the car with a lot of top speed,in Vegas though it would be a wrong thing to do as beside the straights there are also different difficult curves here.

I think Verstappen at 1.29 is still a good bet as under normal conditions we all know that he is going to win,one thing is sure though this is going to be undoubtedly the best race of the whole season,it is going to be huge.

Looks like it isn't RBR for the weekend.  Ferrari has been the fastest for most of the weekend except FP3.  And Verstappen's line is now at 1.40 - 1.45 depending on what book you look at.  Still the guy most likely to win according to the books but if Leclerc keeps calm and the team gives him a good game plan, he could end up winning it imho.

And I've always thought Ferrari and Merc were slightly faster on the straights due to their PU and Red Bull faster on the turns due to the Newey factor and better aerodynamics.
588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: November 18, 2023, 01:05:04 PM
FP2 was delayed due to some man hole cover missing.  Lmao.  As it's a new track, this doesn't look good.  How many more shenanigans are there for the track?  I hope everything is good and ready for the race...  And not just that, I hope everything will be safe for the drivers.

All in all, watched a bit of FP2 and I gotta say the view of the buildings with the lights are good.  Kinda like a GT game.  Wink  Anybody play GT here?

Here are the results for both FP1 and FP2.
After so much money were invested into this GP, it's ridiculous that such things happens. And when you see thathole in Sainz car, it could have ended much worse. Now both Alpine and Ferrari will have to use new chasis because of these accidents. And cherry on top was helding P2 behind closed doors. I still don't get exact reasons why they done it, but fans who paid so much money fortickets should be mad.
I'm not big fan of Las Vegas GP, butall these lights and sphere looks impressive. But that's all what I can say about this track. I expect that Liberty Media have already prepared some cring things that happens only in America for Saturday and Sunday.

Oh..?  That sucks.  I wonder what's it gonna look like for Sainz to finish top 3 and top 6 on the grid.  They've been the fastest for almost all sessions of the weekend so far...

*checks the lines*

Ah no value.  :/  What prolly could have value tho is 'car to set fastest lap' at 3.45 for Ferrari.  Wink  Could be worth a small bet there as Sainz will surely be pushing it the whole race.

Here are FP3 and quali results.

These are the fixtures for the games taking place on Saturday 25th November:

Manchester City vs Liverpool
Burnley vs West Ham United
Luton Town vs Crystal Palace
Newcastle United vs Chelsea
Nottingham Forest vs Brighton and Hove Albion
Sheffield United vs Bournemouth
Brentford vs Arsenal

The game of the day has to be the early kick-off between Manchester City and Liverpool and whichever team wins will sit at the top of the table. If the game ends in a draw but Arsenal manage to win away at Brentford they will be top of the table. Another exciting game to watch when Newcastle United host Chelsea.

I was about to make a post saying how I'm excited for the next fixtures thinking it was gonna be this weekend.  :/  Due to them being after the international break, some of them could become a bit more unpredictable.  And I hope nobody gets injured or gets a knock or something.

Anyway, some good match ups in there are...

City vs LFC:  A race to the top.
Chelsea vs NUFC:  Midtable battle
Sheffield vs Bournemouth:  Relegation battle
Spurs vs Aston Villa:  Battle for top 4
Fullham vs Wolves:  Battle to be at midtable

No raid is predicted in Las Vegas.

But it will be very cold.

I think I've never seen the car running in such cold track, there will be 10°C Shocked

What's a raid?

And they're running the race late at night so yeah, it wouldn't be surprising to see the track that cold.  And it's winter in the desert.  :/

Anyway, here's the schedule.

2023 F1 Las Vegas GP Schedule
Track:  Las Vegas Strip Circuit, Nevada

Nov 17, Friday:  Practice 1  20:30 - 21:30
Nov 17, Friday:  Practice 2  00:00 - 01:00
Nov 18, Saturday:  Practice 3  20:30 - 21:30
Nov 18, Saturday:  Qualifying  00:00 - 01:00

Wdym too good to be true?  You guys saying that there's def no chance Layer Zero is gonna push through with the airdrop?  What the both of you are saying make no sense.  It's like you're clueless on what's going on.  Lol.  I mean I get it, the devs could do the SUI route but because of how unpopular that decision was, I think the guys at Layer Zero will just go with the good ole classic airdrop.

It's just a question of when and how to filter out the botters and the cheats.  We'll prolly see it before the year ends.  I hope I get in.  *crosses fingers*  Grin
595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What Coin is Best for short term speculation on: November 16, 2023, 12:53:21 PM
The recent events in the market have prompted my attention to some of the altcoins that have performed alongside Bitcoin,  such as Ethereum and some other me coins that gave their investors some level of profits within the short term that Bitcoin took a dramatic shift in price from 25k to around 30k which is a significant good amount and that will promote some desire to invest in some other altcoins that followed the trend giving their holder some level of profits in the short term.

This situation pushed me to ask this simple question.

What altcoin is the best for short-term speculation,  some of my friends offline have speculated people but then I don't have much faith in meme coins.

I have 3 recommendations for altcoin that are good for short-term investments, especially if you use them for long-term investments and altcoin that I recommend are,
1. BLZ
2. ARPA
3. CTSI
I'm sure you can get a profit of at least 2x from your capital in the near future.

Lol.  Never ever become a long term holder of unknown altcoins like those in your list.  You just never know what the devs would do.  A lot of you were prolly not around yet when one dev team took all the ICO stash and changed the project's website showing just one word.  It was the word 'penis'.  It was hilarious thinking back about it now.

But short term, sure...  Get into it.

And another thing I noticed that moves up or down higher on average are the tokens in Fantom...  That's def good for short term trades.

Ok guys as how we do it with these sentiment threads, I locked the poll at the middle of the month to avoid the results getting skewed towards how the market looks at the end of the month.  So we got 24 guys who feel like it's already a bull market, 6 people voted that it's a bull trap and three of you guys who doesn't know what to feel about the run up.

Looking at the chart, it looks good and any drop as long as 31k - 32k holds and becomes new support should tell us that it could already be a bull market.

I was wrong.  Jones vs Miocic is still happening after Dana White announced it in the post fight press conference.  But it's funny because that would mean the interim belt doesn't mean anything and all they did at 295 was all for show.

But then again it's good that the UFC is still showing Miocic some respect and giving him his last title shot before retiring.  And it's gonna be a good pay day for him too.

Anyway, here's jeremypwr's Multi Master.  Leeezz gooo!

UFC Fight Night 232:  Multi Master Challenge
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5473979.0

It was just an interim Heavyweight title and not the main Heavyweight title there for after the Stipe Miocic fight Jon Jones will surely fight Tom Aspinall next so they can unify the heavyweight belt when Jon Jones is all healed up for sure it will be in favor for Stipe Miocic, in getting him another shot and a cash money for the fight but the question is what if Stipe Miocic did win the fight,

But I really don't want to see the fight actually after Jon Jones recovered I want to see a Tom Aspinal VS Jon Jones fight instantly, and not get into Jon Jones VS Stipe Miocic but what can we do if the UFC really wants to give the guy a fight, well I think all we can do is just accept the fact that it is for a legend Stipe Miocic and for his last fight in the UFC,

But it's just weird that the interim title holder isn't next in line to take on the champ when he returns.  I guess the UFC wanted both the legacy fight between Jones and Miocic and also earmark either Aspinall or Pav for the next shot at the title.  It's going to be a very intriguing match up between Jones and Aspinall.  I'd bet on the underdog whoever it may be.  If it's close to a coin flip then it's Jon Jones.

Anyway here's a short vid for 296.  Can't wait to see Pantoja back in there again.

Ey guys...  Heard about this memecoin called GROK?

Before talking about it, first if all let me say that I'm not holding any.  Cheesy Cheesy  But it's worth talking about as this thing could move and with huge volume.  So that tells us that there's a following.

So what is GROK?  Well it's a memecoin based off of Elon Musk's bet in the AI market to compete with ChatGPT and he calls it GROK, hence the memecoin.  And whenever Elon Musk is tweeting about GROK the memecoin GROK just pumps like crazy and we're not even in a full on bull market yet.  :/

I guess what I'm saying is...  One of the things to look out for is the Elon meta...  And it's still strong from the looks of it.

599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Celestia airdrop live on: November 15, 2023, 12:18:51 PM
^  It's all about the dev team's timing and their read on market sentiment.  TIA's team read the room well and prepared their airdrop so that they could do it as the market is rising.  ARB devs on the other hand prolly misread the market and also tried to time the top.  But really the market was starting to falter by the time they did their airdrop.  As I said, if they started airdropping around Jan or Feb then ARB prolly would've gone from 1 USD to 5 USD in a week or something.

...  At least that's what I think.  And it's not really far fetched imho.  Now where does this put Layer Zero?  I think they should airdrop now before sentiment changes.  If they do it like ARB then good chance it's gonna happen like ARB.
