581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: another shitcoin another scam.... or? BURRRD on: December 30, 2023, 03:32:59 PM
Hey, I found a small funny thing yesterday this token on the Solana blockchain BURRRD so I checked up their website. https://www.burrrd.club/ at least they are honest about what it is or?  Grin

"Disclaimer BURRRD is a meme coin with no intrinsic value or expectation of financial return. There is no formal team or roadmap. The coin is completely useless and for entertainment purposes only.

I have no connection to the coin or the team behind it in anyway if that's needed to say.

There are many of similar meme coins I've encountered. There was/is a coin that advertised "The team of this coin has had their last project grow upto x156 times.
That just means they are capable of pumping this coin to a large number and then dump it to create a new coin like they did previously. Though they don't provide any info of their last project and we just need to trust their app.
Funnily enough I invested $50 on them and got $150 profit in a matter of days. I didn't wait for the x100. The project got listed on CMC and is now trading above to what I sold for.
582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Upcoming altcoins on: December 30, 2023, 03:05:04 PM
Not trying to shill it or anything but I recently found a token named Umareum. Do check out there site. They seem to be an alternative for ETH or Solana with their own ecosystem and they already have a testnet. They have a lot going on their website.
https://umareum.com/
What I'm not comfortable with is they are providing some higher rates on staking which is not a good thing for keeping the price up. But maybe its their way of distributing the coin. I bought a small amount of $50 a day before and currently they are nearly at double. I might sell them off early and get back when they have their own mainnet.
583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with your altcoin holding with low value on: December 30, 2023, 01:58:34 PM
For those of us that are into altcoin signature campaign and have accumulate some in your wallet, what do you do with it since some of them has low value at the moment if you check their current price?

Do you keep holding it hoping that the price will finally come up since it seems you can't actually trade it with it current value.

Will the altcoin become valueless after the campaign is over or could still gain value after some years.

Most of them are so low that they don't even cover the fees of exchanging so I leave them be. Of the ones having good value, I evaluate their future and if I find the possibility of doing better on long term, I either hold them or sell some of it and keep the rest but if I find it not so probable of going strong for long, I sell them and go for the coins I'm planning to buy. There are rare chances of coins getting listed on popular exchange or even CMC which could boost the price. But you keep them checking in order not to miss the price bump.
584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of privacy coins and tokens? on: December 29, 2023, 05:19:43 PM
Privacy based coins are in a constant attack by the authorities specially by the law enforcement agency from US. Privacy based coins are used mostly by people who are either money laundering, doing illegal business or are involved in funding terrorism. Privacy focused coins are hard to trace and track. That makes it impossible for the law enforcement agency to make anyone liable for any transactions. The recent decision of this forum to stop advertising mixtures are an example how difficult it is for a legal business to accept privacy focused coins.
585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SOL LONG TERM HOLDERS COULD BE IN DANGER!! on: December 29, 2023, 04:29:25 PM
SOL has been controversial at times but it works. SOL ecosystem is rapidly growing with every new dapps emerging on the platform. Though I sold my sol early, the people that held it are now in good profit. And it is the right time to sell as there could be a correction.
The whole market works more on speculation than utility and in case of Solana, there's even some utility. Usless meme coins with heavily premined or a largely developer held token reaches spectacular prices in matter of days, on a comparison, Solana is more transparent and useful.
586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Launchpool, a possible earning opportunity? on: December 28, 2023, 03:26:22 PM
if you dont really trust the centralized exchange than is Binance Launchpool is not worth the money and time.

I tried dozen of Binance launch pool by simply stake my bnb and get reward since it is like airdrop when you stake and earn free token for me it is worth but at the end of staking days 100$ worth of BNB can only earn you maybe couple of dollar since Im broke so one dollar is really worth.  Grin Grin

I actually tried with 800$ BNB back couple year ago but still there is to much whale of BNB so it only earn you less and less

The amount of rewards you can get from participating in a Binance Launchpool opportunity is directly proportional to the amount of BnB you have and have deposited into the "pool" vs the total BNB deposited by other users. While it might not be worth it for you, It would be worth a lot to other users. It's simply a whale game of who deposited the highest amount of BNB.

If you think Launchpool rewards are diluted, just remember that Launchpad sale allocations are 10x more diluted.

Yes, you need a large balance upfront to be able to buy any significant amount of coin from launchpads of popular exchange like binance. And in places you could, the quality of tokens aren't good enough. The current hot place for launching an ICO is pinksale if you are into DEX but the locking period can be tricky as most  meme coins these days are dead after months.
It's also a good idea to have the coin have its first pump and dump cycle and buy it on the dump. The price at that moment would come closer to the ICO price.
587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy BNB now? on: December 28, 2023, 02:06:07 PM
As long as the price is still affordable to buy it and not too expensive, in my opinion it is valid because BNB is also the third best altcoin on the Crypto market, so there is no need to hesitate to buy it because the community and investors behind BNB are very strong, plus the Binance market is also  the largest market so, very confident that if you invest with BNB, it seems that now it's not too late to buy it..

What is of concern is that Binance may also face major problems regarding their exchange. and the impact will be very big on the price of BNB and maybe even bigger to the point of affecting the crypto market as a whole.
Currently, Binance is one of the largest exchanges. and many traders there. but that doesn't cover the risk.
BNB has grown very big. It's only natural that many want to invest in BNB. but they have to plan well. always update information regarding the Binance exchange.
Although they face those recent big issues still they manage to stand and they are quietly running so well. They have new management now then I think they are pretty fine since BNB price is pumping so we can see that they are not affected much by those issues especially on what CZ facing on. But if some people thinking about buying BNB then its up for them to decide if they can take the risk since we don't know what will be the end point of this since there are chance that they may experience a continues pump or they might get dump since more issue will come to them. But for me I will take the risk to have it since BNB is somehow a establish coin so I don't think it can be dump easily especially if there's certain troubles happening on their exchange.

Oh no. The price went up from around $250 to around $340 in a couple of days. That is a 25% boost in price. The price is still not close/half of the all time high. With the bull run and Ethereum chain already unusable, Official and unofficial BSC tokens are a good way of trading and investing in alts with lower fees.
This could also be a bull trap before the drop around the sentencing of ex Binance CEO CZ. But BNB is already not much dependent on the Binance exchange.
A Bull run is difficult time to make a decision. The day OP asked the question now seems one of the best time to buy it.
588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do people make money with this web3 on: December 28, 2023, 01:35:48 PM
I have come across a lot of people doing pretty good and making money online

I ask them to help me teach me but no one has really given me the time, they are always claiming to be very busy.
They told me guy all this money we have is from web3 and I don't really understand what this web3 is all about.

Please I need someone to help explain it in a simple way so I can understand

Web3 refers to a change in how we use the internet. A internet that is decentralized and works over a blockchain, it's token-based and permission-less and have no restriction and blockage by single authority.
And any project calling them web3 project were a hot cake some months ago but there are no real consensus of what web3 actually is. The crypto starting from bitcoin is already a step towards it and It's an internet euphoria and might not be ever fully implementable.
Almost all of the old and new projects claim themselves working for the implementation of web3. The popular ones that are actually focused on web3 are projects like ICP.
589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a new trend of Altcoin Bull run? on: December 28, 2023, 12:21:22 PM
We have often witnessed in the bull run that Bitcoin's value increases and once it becomes stable at a certain limit that's when bull run officially starts for Altcoins and we have seen same cycle in previous two bull runs. But, this time we are witnessing a different scenario as we have seen increase in the price of Bitcin but it's yet to reach ATH and it's still continuing to increase but Altcoin's are going bonkers and having more than 100% increase and it's not limited to few but most of the Altcoin is following similar trend.
Should be consider this as new trend wherein Altcoins will have bullrun before Bitcoin? Or this is once in a blue moon thing? It cannot be a bull trap since it's happening for multiple Altcoins.

The bull run comes in stages and you could consider it as the first mini bull, Bitcoin price doubled in a matter of month which is still about half of the all time high. Similar are the scenario for most other altcoins. The total market is huge and just a push can't take it all the way up. Anyone buying at half price are more likely to sell at double. So, the first thing would be to retain and make current price the resistance. After there are many people buying at current price, the market would push for another bull probably hitting the new ATH for both bitcoin and the alts.
590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if DEXs are banned in the future? on: December 27, 2023, 04:14:06 PM
Governments seem to come up with something new to prevent crypto from achieving its full potential. From cracking down on mixers and enforcing KYC across centralized exchanges, they aim keep crypto under their control. The only things they can't manipulate or enforce the rule of law (aside from blockchain networks themselves) are decentralized exchanges.

But what if governments decide to hunt down the developers of DEXs? Or what if they estalish a law where developing a non-compliant DEX (no-KYC) can be subject to prosecution (jail time or fines)? If that happens, the industry will be doomed. With a US senator drafting the "Digital Currency Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2023", anything's possible.

What do you think will happen if DEXs are "banned" in the future? Will they die? Or will they still survive (despite the fact that most people will avoid them to prevent jail time or being fined)?

Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley

As people have already explained, it would be difficult to block DEX. They can ban the IPs and domains but there could be many of those proxies. Another serious way of stopping it would be the criminalizing of using of DEX and arresting people for using it. That would certainly stop most people.
If initiated and promoted by the US, they could implement on most of the world. I don't think that's a likely scenario but you never know considering how low the authorities can go for holding on to their power.
591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose, arrange and create your portfolio of altcoins on: December 27, 2023, 03:23:44 PM
Hello guys
I am starting to go into trading and holding altcoins for myself, I got to understand that there are over millions of altcoins to choose to invest in, so I decided to come up with a strategy that would help me choose the best coins to hold as the bull run is around the corner. I went to coingecko and decided to choose coins from different categories, what do I mean, coins fall under certain categories like the layer 1, layer 2, Memes, infrastructure, Blockchain ecosystem, smart contracts platform, web3, and the rest.

What did I do, I choose the first 5 coins under these categories and decided to buy and hodl them with 50 USDT each. Am I on the right track or is there any other way I can do more better.

It's a good idea to diversify your portfolio depending on the nature of the coin. But we also need to consider other minute things that could lead to the success of the coin. On diversification, the ratio could be different depending on how much risk you want to take. If you want to have lower risk, you can keep 50% of your investment on established alts.
You should also keep the development of each coins you invest and readjust the investment periodically depending upon how they are performing. It's a better idea to take profits now and than on the volatility of crypto market and add more when you can decrease your average price.
592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins profits or bank profits, which best? on: December 26, 2023, 03:06:46 PM
Bank investors have more certainty because there capital is completely safe but they give 8-10% annual profits to the investors of per year. But it is comparatively less in terms of profits.

On the other hand you will get constant profits from crypto as if you are experienced in trading then daily profits is possible. Otherwise you can get profits by investing. However crypto investment puts your capital at greater risk (main point).

It's always wiser to diversify your investments and saving to have a degree of financial freedom and restrict the risk of complete collapse of a sector.
Whether the altcoin profit are better than bank profit depends on how you are getting your altcoin profits and how much interest rate the bank is providing.
The interest rate in banks are generally lower than the inflation so that you believe you are getting an interest but in reality your money are losing value.
Altcoin investment, trading or simple staking are much more profitable in most cases. An example from where I live, average bank interest rate for FD are 6% while defis are providing an staking rate for USDT around 8%. Which shows it's better to stake than to put money on saving account or FD.
593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Btt staking and buying stradegy on: December 26, 2023, 02:35:56 PM
Im buying it and staking i have made most of my profit of this this month with BTT buying and staking.
When bull run start in crypto market the btt is small cap and cheap coin Im sure a lot funds will flow into this coin Im staking this also to get more BTT i don't want to speculate too much but BTT in my opinion will be one of the performers that's the only low Cap coin i will hold and will invest long term and Im staking btt aswell.
You do the same ?

BTT is a good option to have in your portfolio and they have their own blockchain launched and are not as dead as many of the coins. Integrating it as a reward for seeding torrents might not have received much attention yet it could pump good in the future as the price change are slight. They have it's development going on and I too have a small amount of BTT  and don't plan to increase much. I have put them on grid trading and they are very slow to price change. Bittorrent may bring in some news in the future that could pump the coin.
594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which currency do you prefer to use for BTC/LTC/ETH transactions? on: December 26, 2023, 01:04:34 PM
Hi, I have been using cryptocurrencies for about a year now where I usually do transactions from time to time in this period of time I have only used Bitcoin and Litecoin, I have seen quite a few people using Ethereum as well and I wanted to know what do you guys use to receive or send money with cryptos. I usually prefer to use Litecoin because it has almost no fees, in Bitcoin for small transactions of just a few dollars $5-$10 they can charge you up to $2 fees or a few months ago when it was broken they charged you $8 fees or more it was crazy, instead Litecoin does not charge you almost no fees and it is very comfortable to use although it is quite slow. And about Ethereum I have seen a lot of people using it but I don't know how the fees and speed are.

Best regards!

For trading, I have been using USDT, it makes it easier to know how much profit or loss I've made compared to a fiat equivalent. For withdrawal between exchanges, I mostly prefer LTC as it generally  have the lowest fee and wider acceptance. An immediate alternative to LTC is BCH and exchange like Coinex provide zero withdrawal fees for it. My goto dapp platform is BSC and binance provides zero or very low withdrawal fee for BNB and related tokens. Gas fees on BSC are cheaper compared to ETH and the problems are fewer compared to matic.
595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How was your crypto journey this year? on: December 26, 2023, 11:17:54 AM
Forgetting about the past and mistakes I've made, 2023 alone was a fruitful year for me. I made a good profit through both trading and investing.
I have a few regrets for selling some coins too early for profit, otherwise, every coin I have invested this year has yield me profit. The best investment was Solana.
On the field of trading, I have had a good number  of stop losses on some token but they are significantly less than what I made on profit.
And a few of my grid trading are going strong for months making as good as 100%+ APY for over 4 months.
596  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Neural implants on: December 26, 2023, 10:14:17 AM
new discussion, what if this is done to prevent premature aging.  As the primary function of everything in the nerves.  Maybe this will be a boost to something that is health at its main point.

Scientists are quite clear what the neural implants aim to achieve. It's about giving the sensory power to ones that have lost it and magnifying on those who have a poor one.
Like a camera to brain connection that lets you see without eyes and a brain to speaker connection that lets you speak by thinking without using your vocal cords.
Surely it can be used to create a sensory superhuman but we are still far away from delaying aging.  The next step could be live monitoring every health expects so that we could get a cure before the illness shows the symptoms.
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MATIC or DOT? on: December 26, 2023, 09:30:58 AM
Hello,
Is MATIC better or DOT? Which one has better potential?

Thank you.

MATIC is a go as an alternative for BNB while PolkaDOT have it's own blockchain. And while Matic is focused for operating dapps, Polkadot aims at getting cross platform interoperation. There are several newer alternatives to MATIC while dot is one of its kind. The growth of DOT ecosystem has been spectacular for some months now while polygon is not able to keep its growth.
I believe DOT has a better future than Matic mostly because development of DOT have more flexibility, matic being a sidechain has limited usability.
598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where TO Find Quality Air Drops on: December 25, 2023, 04:28:05 PM
Can I know where I can find quality airdrops? I started doing airdrops but No idea whether they are scams or not. And also I have a question regarding tweeter tasks of the airdrops, they say to like their twitter page and retweet. but There are two options when it comes to retweet, "Repost" and ''Quote"
what should I do? retweet or quote? please answer

It's hard to find good airdrops nowadays. There are sites like airdropalert that lists airdrops that needs to have the user do simple things like singup and social media task while there are some that seeks kyc.
Another easy way of finding Airdrops is to search for it on X. There are several new projects that are distributing coins just for posting the address. Most of them are lucky draw and just a few of the user gets the money but still they are free and easy.
Some new defi airdrops the defi tokens for locking volume on it.
