601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don’t push playing more on: October 12, 2023, 05:13:14 PM
Today I encountered again my biggest nemesis on gambling which is being stuck on my gambling progress. I’ve gambling for multiple days in a row with just having a breakeven on my total bankroll. This due to the game doesn’t gave me any long winning streak and only just more losses. The only thing that makes me keep up on the breakeven side is the increased on wager to recover my losses but my gambling result is literally 1 win to 3 or more losses ratio. This is how bad my overall game.

Yes, that record is bad indeed, hopefully you are not using martingale system to recover your losses.

The only good news is this time I remember how this weakness of mine always makes me lose in the past so I stop already gambling and take a break. This is what I’m trying to share here. If you really feel that your gambling doesn’t want to make you move forward by having decent profit and just giving you a hard time then don’t hesitate to quit! Don’t push forward while you are already playing uncomfortably because this will just make you bet recklessly.

Have a break and just gamble newt week or month because a lucky game will make you win easily and not with a very hard to win winning condition.

Right, it's better to reset our gambling habit. For me, after a big lose or even a good win, I usually take a week break from gambling. After a lose, then I will take the time to think about it and most likely says to myself that I need to stop. If I'm winning, then I take the chance to buy something from those profit before going to play again in a week. The best part is that you won't fall in kind of addiction like chasing your losses and greed taking over and wanting to more money after a great win and try to play again the next day.
602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Winning Wisely: Strategies to Protect Your Bankroll on: October 12, 2023, 03:58:29 PM

But to be very honest It's not that easy ending the gambling just like that for that very day, it really demands great discipline to usually stick to the idea as there are occasions I get carried away by my own enthusiasm in the game and snob the thought of stopping since I have managed to get  a win.  It's as if I turn out to become my own obstacle to my subscribed idea. Lol.  Nevertheless, if we're able to keep to standards we have created  to guide our conduct, behavior and decisions on how we would handle our gambling life it will earn us a healthy gambling lifestyle.

That is what have lead to many loses for me on so many occasions because of the lack of being able to take a bow and walk aways for that day,  most challenging thing in this thing is when goi already win some amount in your games and you believe that if you risk more further you can win more,  this is the most dangerous thing to do at all time and we should be able to walk away no matter what position we are in the game,  and some of this time we need to really set a strong limits for ourselves in other to use this feature correctly.

Yes, most of the time, it's hard to acknowledged specially if we still have a money in our pocket, to just quit for that day and never over extend playing as this could be your un-lucky. But we all know that is not true, I mean gamblers can't just take a bow and walk away. There were even cases that if you play on a traditional base casinos, we encounter what we call walk of shame.

But then gambling is all about luck and discipline because there is never a guarantee winning and you will not know the outcome of your next game,  so for that you must appreciate the one you already won and learn to walk away.

Again, it's very hard to say if we are lucky or not. That's why we try to play and test our luck. Specially in games like dice, or slot machine, there is no guarantee of winning. However, we are going to try it out, no matter what the odds or even if we now the odds are stack up against us. So very hard to control and we really need to be strong mentality.
603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Lady Cried After Losing to Sports Bet. Gambling is Not Your Mate. on: October 11, 2023, 02:30:54 AM
I think in some cases people should only gamble for tokens, just play the game for a prize like the ticket sales they do in arcades sometimes.  After you win you go up and pick a prize, that might be the better choice then the money management required for big gambling so as to avoid confusion on just adding more money in order to chase the win.
If the money isnt spare and ready to be all used up it shouldn't be gambled, spending the money to enter a game and win a prize big or small makes it clearer the money is spent; less upset.

Nah, I don't think that it is enough for some individuals to play just for tokens, after all it's just an arcade and it supposedly for kids play and not adults. Although this is already form of gambling to me, I mean you put some money and play and hope that you can win some tickets and then exchange those for items. So it involved money already and perhaps after these arcade games, many of them developed to be gamblers so it's a bad influence to everyone. As for the lady, big lesson learned for her. But I will say that every gambler has went to this kind of situation before, maybe we were able to get out and then don't gamble anymore because we are afraid of the consequences or just continue to play and become addicted, it's our choice.
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 09, 2023, 05:59:32 AM
The Warriors went and played a team in prison… Cool idea. Hats off to them for doing it. The best part… They lost.

https://x.com/thedunkcentral/status/1711053895332466872

I had never seen this one coming and I think they are the first to do this, giving hope to those people who once made life-changing mistakes on their lives is great, and giving them some hope that they can still be helpful and recognized as people who contribute positivity to their nation if they wanted to change their lives for good. Obviously, they were just casually playing against those inmates and didn't take their time to chase the score, which made them even greater because that was part of the plan to give inmates some hope and dreams.

And Klay said that he is on the San Quentin side here is really genius in his side. I mean he really give this individual at least some light and hope and maybe they could be motivated by seeing someone as big as Klay siding on them in a basketball game.

Yes, losing the game itself might be the biggest script for the Warriors here. So congrats to the brain behind this kind of games in a prison. We say that those people are dangerous, but in the game of basketball, they really feel like they are just a ordinary individual and not serving any sentence in a prison.
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tszyu vs. Mendoza Confirmed for WBO Title Showdown on October 15th on: October 09, 2023, 05:23:56 AM

And since the fight is to be o his hometown Australia again, it can boost his confidence to really perform to his fans just like what he did against Tony Harrison. Hopefully though there will be no home decision if the fight is close and gets to the judges score card as it is still fresh on how Jeff Horn won over Manny Pacquiao when others saw that the legendary Pacman won that fight.
Tszyu is not Jeff Horn he is way better than Horn he will not let his fans down and he will perform better than Horn, Mendoza is not Manny Pacquiao I don't think he can match up with Tszyu's speed and power.

I'm not comparing the fighter itself, my comparison is how Pacman got robbed because he is fighting on the Australian soil. And I guess majority will agree that it was clearly a robbery. In any case, if Tim is really that good then we don't have to worry about the robbery (or is it?).

Mendoza has beaten Fundora but he just got lucky to catch Fundora with those combinations, Tszyu will be more prepared for this fight he cannot relax in this fight because he is Australia's best hope in the boxing world.
Brian Mendoza may be good but Tszyu has enough power and motivation to beat Mendoza and move on to conquer more titles.

I think Tim is just about to hit his prime and obviously very motivated to win against Mendoza in front of his fans. And I do like Tim's attitude though, I mean he wants to be the next great Australian boxer like his father but making his own name at 154 lbs. Hopefully though, if ever he beats Mendoza, Jermell Charlo will give Tim his deserved shot at the other belts he held, although not sure if the other organizations has stripped him of his other super welterweight belt.
606  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: swaplab.io swapslab.cc and other phishing swaplab websites on: October 08, 2023, 08:04:39 PM
Yes, our previous complaint to domain registrar succeeded, but as can be seen on https://who.is/whois/swaplab.io they switched to nicenic.net. It's just a matter of time (end of transfer period) until their website will be back online. Nicenic has a really bad reputation https://www.spamhaus.org/statistics/registrars/.

And it's good that the domain registrar reacted so fast your on your request, because usually as per my experience, reporting to them is really a pain because they don't react quickly that there are some individuals who fell for the scammers trick, (a) replicating the website, (b) using some form of ads to push their website on the top, higher than the original one.

So yes, hopefully you and others maybe will have to work hard and see if the 3 websites are going to be up again.

Just putting the scam websites inside the "code" though, so that no one can accidentally visit them from here,

Code:
swaplab.io
swapslab.cc
swaplabs.cc
607  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for October on: October 08, 2023, 07:32:41 PM
In October, there are chances that we might see some green candles. The price has been consolidated around $27k for the past few weeks, and chances are that a slight upward moment toward $30k is on the card. Crossing $30k in October seems far-fetched at the moment, but the market might surprise everyone. Overall, I think the market sentiments will remain positive.

I think the consolidation around the $27k price is just a week or two. So it's not that we are in this price range for a long time. But it seems that October will remain a good month for us, at least if we look at past historical logs this is the case and hopefully the pattern will stay like that. But I do agree that crossing $30k is very difficult. Hopefully at least the target range will be $28k at the end of October and then we can maintain on that price range. So that at least in the next two months, it will be a battle whether we can finally break $30k for this year or maybe top the highest high this 2023 at $31,500. And then somewhat entering the halving with good positive momentum that might result to a rally and the eventual bull run in the second quarter of next year.
608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino is a Games of Chance and Entertainment on: October 08, 2023, 01:38:32 PM
The outcome of the majority of casino games is mostly controlled by luck rather than ability. Examples that are often used include craps, roulette, and slot machines. Players wager on numerous outcomes in these games, and the casino has an inherent advantage that ensures they will profit in the long term.
Casino gaming is a popular source of entertainment. Instead of looking at it as a means of making money, players should approach it with the intention of having fun.
Those who can accept this eternal words that gambling is depend on luck certainly don't expect much from the casino until their luck catches up. They should play with the assumption that they will lose there. Another thing is that those who agree to play these games are completely dependent on luck. However, there are some differences in sports betting as there are different research tasks. Those who can better a team's statistics are more likely but not guaranteed. But a gambler in a casino can enjoy his gambling as long as he spends within a limit.

I mean at least you know that when you play on a casino, you know your chances are slim and that the house edge will caught up on you. Because there are gamblers who really think that they can win all the time and beat the system. That is very wrong mindset in the beginning and that's why many feel for the trap of being addicted because they expected too much on it, to the point that they think that they can treat it as a regular job or something that they can bring food in the table for their families. So just that our time and enjoy and just play money that we can afford to lose and don't expect that we will always win. Although gamblers are very superstitious but I don't think they can win with divine intervention.
609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tszyu vs. Mendoza Confirmed for WBO Title Showdown on October 15th on: October 08, 2023, 11:32:48 AM
I guess it's about time that Tim Tszyu to have a fight since he was relegated to full WBO champion at 154 lbs since he should be fighting Jermell Charlo. But obviously, Jermell opted to fight Canelo and for more money. It's supposedly Charlo defending his belt against Tim and then Charlo got hand injuries and so the scheduled fight has been postponed for a long time and it's good as I have said that he is now a full champion not just a interim belt holder.

And since the fight is to be on his hometown Australia again, it can boost his confidence to really perform to his fans just like what he did against Tony Harrison. Hopefully though there will be no home decision if the fight is close and gets to the judges score card as it still fresh on how Jeff Horn won over Manny Pacquiao when others saw that the legendary Pacman won that fight clearly.
610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 08, 2023, 11:03:41 AM
ESPN has said they are predicting the Milwaukee Bucks to win 48.5 games next year. What do people think about that? Personally, I think they win at least 50 games next year and maybe even 60. Lillard is a beast to have on your team alongside Giannis. While it may not be as good as the Curry/Giannis duo we all want to see, it is the next best thing.

That's some serious hype going on. I mean, Lillard just joined the team, so it's a bit premature to expect them to dominate right out of the gate. We're still in the 'let's-see-how-their-chemistry-works' phase. Even though they're both superstars, there's no guarantee they'll click seamlessly.

If the public's buying into that and there are betting odds for it, I'd say that's a potential trap waiting to happen.

I think 48 wins is very doable provided the team won't suffer injuries from their starting line-up. 48 wins is a 59% win rate so it's like winning 6 out of 10. Giannis, Middleton, Lopez, and Lillard aren't known ball hogs or have big egos so I am confident that they can work together in building their chemistry well. And there's also the new ruling about player management so we're expecting these players to be present in most of their games.

I haven't seen the odds of this over 48.5 wins. But if this is 1.80 or above then I am taking this risk.

Yes, why not? it's already a good and very attractive odds for a Over/Under 48.5 wins for the Bucks this season. And I speculate that they could even win more games, maybe just above 50 game for them with Giannis and Dame. Of course there are a lot of factors in the background that we need to look, like the duo not getting injured or they have a slump because they have a new coach and new player coming in to fit a new role.

But in any case its could be doable barring anything bad for the Bucks. They still have the core though of Middleton and Lopez and then their role players, so there's a lot of anticipation from basketball fans that they will do good this season and maybe become the number 1 rank team in the Eastern conference again.
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you the spot/Future Trader Then this is the best tool for you. on: October 07, 2023, 11:33:19 AM
A significant leverage is also a double-edged sword, and trading bots are likewise a double-edged tool. If you're an experienced trader, you surely can't overly rely on these two factors. Moreover, these two factors are no longer novel enough to set apart the trading platform you're referring to

Yea, it's a formula for a disaster, specially if you are a newbie in spot/future trading. And we have heard horror stories as well to the point that the young trader has to take his live because he lost all the money in trading.

So just be careful with this kind of tools, if you don't know anything about trading, I will advise everyone to stay away from it.

But if by chance, you have experience already, then maybe you can try what the OP is promoting. But nevertheless, it's not an assurance that you will make a lot of money using this so called "best tool". Everything is still on the hands of the trader.
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lets discuss Poker on: October 07, 2023, 10:47:09 AM
but I still don't understand it myself, I'm not used to poker.
I'll give you a tip, watch those poker tournaments and that will give you an idea on how to play this game. It's not going to be easy in the beginning but it's enjoyable to watch until you learn from them. Also, if you've got your own smartphone or desktop or laptop, try to play those poker games online that are for free. From doing that, you'll understand the basics of it and how the game is being played on. And when you think that you're ready to play, try to get into poker tables online in casinos that you want to do it and try it out for your personal experience.

I think this is the easiest way to learn how to play poker, but still though, if order to get experienced, you really have to sit down and play with it with our non-professional players to get a feel of it. And I recently stumbled this thread recently: Some poker terminologies you may want to know.

And as far as I know, there are tournaments being held here in our community, sponsored by some casinos.

Like the Bitcointalk poker series #2 hosted by Betnomi run by yahoo62278.

But not sure if there will be the future, or maybe a different casino will sponsored once again.
613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Subriel Matias vs. S. Ergashev (IBF jr. welterweight title) Nov. 4: Las Vegas on: October 07, 2023, 09:58:44 AM
I was kinda surprised by the poll results. It looks like more folks around here are rooting for Ergashev over Matias. It goes to show that opinions really count in games like this because when you see a bunch of people supporting the challenger, it hints that the challenger might actually have a shot at winning. And I'm saying 'upset,' not because Ergashev is the challenger (in case he wins), but because of those betting odds that heavily favor Matias.

Might be but if you look at the poll, it was just 3 members who have voted: so it's 2:1 for the Ergashev.

The real problem here is that no one really knows this fighter so it's hard to bet unless we can go back and watch their previous fights in Youtube (if available), and see who is the bigger fighter.

So I guess I will have to wait first for the official odds and see who the bookmakers are going to favor here. Not that I don't trust those boxing fans here, it's that I wanted to weigh everything first before making my vote.
614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: They know the truth but they don't want to accept it, publicly on: October 07, 2023, 09:39:35 AM
Take it or leave it, some part of me still want to make free money from gambling, even when I don't gamble every day, and while I am a very cautious gambler.

There's no such thing as free money though in gambling, of course someone can give you some money and you decided to play. Or you have free spins and then you won. But that is a slim chances though in gambling. You have to used your own money to win some.

Some people are trying to hide behind the cotton, stating that they are gambling for the fun of it, I will like to ask them this question if I can get them to answer.

Is there any spirit of good will when you intentionally give your money away in order to just have a good time gambling?

Because taking money away from gambling simply makes the game not worth playing.

Will you still participate if money is not involved? Many people will easily quit if all casinos are to be turned into no-money games, isn't it?

Money is still the real reasons why we gamble, been addicted or not, mutual greed or not, all gambling is done to make more money or get some form of reward in the end.

I disagree though that they are hiding their reasons for gambling, yeah you can have some fun as well in the sideline. For let's say you play with your friends in land base casino because I have done it many times already. Although I lose some money, it's ok on my end as I can afford that money to be burn that night and then entertain ourselves. But if I win money? Definitely going to take it with me. But the problem is that there are gamblers who see gamble as a means to earn, like a regular job or something, which is very wrong in the beginning.
615  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hal Finney: each coin a value of about $10 million prophecy on: October 07, 2023, 09:16:14 AM
I think Hal really knows what's about to go down with Bitcoin that's why he is one of the pioneers and as a contributor, and so he is well aware of what could have been the price in the next decade or so and he did that prediction.

Of course, there are a lot of predictions as well in the next coming years that we should take with a grain of salt. But coming from a legend himself? really not hard to see that we might in the future hit that price point and all we can say is that Hal is correct.

And this could be the very first prediction as well.
616  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitMEX founder projects $750,000 to $1 million #Bitcoin price by 2026 on: October 06, 2023, 04:58:35 PM
With parabolic movement of Bitcoin, everything is possible.

Yes, but we all know that bitcoin price movement is not going to be parabolic, it can only happen during bull run. Just like in the beginning when no one thought that we can buy a lot of bitcoin for $1.00 in 2009.

I am not against to the positive and high predictions and everyone is entitled for that. But when these times are coming, what I have noticed are these all bullish predictions.

It's like that whenever these come, isn't it scary when everyone is happy and taking these predictions that much? I am for it and has always been bullish but you know when there are bloods in the streets and about everyone being happy and greedy, right?

I've got my own prediction as well but not that too early but more likely after the 2nd halving on 2028 and up.

Sometimes we need this kind of predictions though, I mean we should stay and be positive and let it attract some positive vibes. However, we should still be realistic that it might take some years to see this kind of big price for us.

I mean we even haven't hit our first target of $100k in the supposedly bull run that is coming our way for the next two years. So it's really hard to digest this kind of price prediction as early as 2023, just saying.
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will the Gambling Sportybet (Company) Refund the Money? on: October 06, 2023, 04:32:29 PM
Hmm, just weird though, because this is the same casinos that has been mentioned here, a thread also open by the OP,  A Lady Cried After Losing to Sports Bet. Gambling is Not Your Mate.

So by now, something is not right with this casinos, although we can't say directly that they have been scamming people or it is just that this kid and the lady as well can't control their gambling and chooses this casinos to play and then they lost some money.

Or it could be another way to bring some bad publicity to this name casinos as well. But it any case, we all know that gambling is not for everyone and we should always play with the money that we can afford to lose so that we won't encounter the same issues as this two individuals.
618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 06, 2023, 04:09:23 PM
[....]
Obviously, with James Harden also being a superstar, this should result in an improvement in the team's performance. If they continue to struggle after acquiring James Harden, I believe the problem runs deeper, and it might be time for the Clippers to consider a coaching change.
PG - Westbrook
SG - Harden
SF - Leonard
PF - George

Looks good on paper doesn't it? I wonder who is going to take the ball most of the time. The coach will have to force someone to adjust and limit his role so these players won't clash. That player will probably end up unhappy and that will also affect the team. I think the three are already good at sharing the ball but adding Harden into the mix will disrupt that.

If one or two of them suffers serious or season ending injuries again then this trade could be worth it.

It could be that either Westbrook or Harden will carry the ball if they play both at the same time. They play both with they are in Houston so there will be no adjustments as well. But we all know this two is a ball hogger so the best thing is not to let them be in the same floor.

Hopefully I can also with that Leonard will remain healthy. He already commented about the new rule on sitting out players to rest. And he said that players should only sit when they are injured. So he is against load management, but if we will remember, he is one of the first or at least in Clippers who uses this rest as a precautionary measures to avoid getting injured. And that's why I said that at least being healthy this season, we can see if he is going to continue and play hard every night to be able to get that win or take a rest and that will contradict what he says.
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Oscar Duarte (December 2) on: October 06, 2023, 03:46:04 PM
So I kind of agree with the odds although I was also expecting something like 1.22 for Kingry earlier.

Most likely, the odds will be like that, probably not higher than 1.30.

Ryan Garcia is trying to redeem himself after a devastating loss to Tank. With a decent opponent, I'm sure he will be tested to see if he is really back in boxing. He isn't undefeated anymore, but his one loss could be the best learning experience for him. Who knows, he might have a rematch with Tank Davis in the future. For now, he has to focus on coming back strong.

Yeah, most likely the odds will be higher as Ryan Garcia is facing a unknown caliber fighter. And so with others who is just making a comeback after a devastating lost, they will get a fighter that might have a good in paper but for sure this is a careful match making on the side of Golden Boy. And most likely everything is back to normal with Ryan and Oscar as they will have to promote this fight again.

Ryan needs to win this one and forget how his lost to Tank Davis is. Because if he keeps on thinking about that fight then he can't go and move on his career. And we shouldn't be surprised that this is 140 lbs as this could be the weight class that Ryan could be comfortable as he doesn't need to weight drain himself.

Ryan's life is already assured if his finances are being managed well plus he is also a social media influencer which also helps him earn a lot regularly. So he should stay focused on his boxing career and try his best to become a world champion. Once he becomes a champion then that is the time he can consider challenging Tank again for a rematch at 140.

Yes with the revenue of the fight against Tank, he is a multi millionaire at a young age. But this kind of money though is not going to be enough for this young boxers. They will have to look for fights that can generated more for them I reckon. And so after his fight with Davis, they set him up against a upcoming fighter but I still see it as a tune up although it could really be a big test for him.

Ryan's opponent though cannot be underestimated. He is moving up in weight for this fight but he is a good fighter and just like Ryan, he is also a prospect. And I won't be surprised that Oscar De La Hoya wants Ryan to lose since the kid is expected not to renew his contract soon.

It will be interesting what will be the outcome of this fight and also what will be his relationship with Oscar. Who is the beginning, the fans see a lot of similarities between the two. But they have this kind of love and hate relationship. So not sure if this is Ryan's late fight with Oscar or there will be another one. But one things for sure, it seem that the relationship between the two has somewhat had a crack already. And I see Ryan leaving Oscar once his contract expire and maybe moved to Eddie Hearn of Match Room or maybe even to PBC.

Interesting, Imagine me that time buying $5 valued Bitcoins and forgetting till today, and now here in 2023 after going through this post unlocking my old wallet. Having Millions of worth Bitcoins. Ahhh what a happy moment that can be.. anyway, that really great to hear about such moments of Bitcoin. The initial price is quite surprising.

Regrets mate, for sure majority of us here wishes that we can buy that small money with huge amount of bitcoin and just wait for it to explode. But it any case, we are still standing and we should learn from the past. So instead of procrastination, we can do something today and then wait for the next bull run or just hold the bitcoin that we have accumulate and see how it goes in the future. It could really be worth something big as well, just like what those early bitcoiners have before us.

I am not sure how many P2P Bitcoin exchange services are running at the moment on the forum, I'm sure there will be a thread I'll search for it and definitely quote it out.

Let me help you with this one:  New exchange (Bitcoin Market).
