621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 13, 2023, 01:45:36 PM
Japan managed to get to three digit score in their match against United Arab Emirates Under-19s at the Asian Cricket Council Under-19s Asia Cup. In return to UAE's score of 320/7, Japan are 140/4 after 39 overs. They are going to lose this match, but this time they have put up a decent performance. Obviously UAE is not one of the strongest teams, but they have a lot of players from India and Pakistan. And after suffering heavy defeats in the first two matches, the outcome is somewhat "encouraging" for the Japan U-19 team.
UAE19 gave a huge target to the JPN19 team. If we took a look on the UAE team batting line so we will see that the three players were good in batting. Dhruv Parashar Maroof Merchant And Aayan Afzal Khan. I really appreciate the batting of Aayan Afzal Khan he was playing really well he made 67 runs and hit 3 sixes. And important thing is that he remained not out in this match. Overall the UAE19 made 320 runs. Which I think was a good target for JPN19 team. And fortunately the Japan team didn't chase the target and UAE won the match.

UAEU19 is actually a good team that were able to defeat Sri lanka U19 and reach the semi finals of the trophy though they might not stand a chance against India.
Sri Lankan junior team performed really bad and had a bad luck getting defeated from UAE. If it were a longer league. Things would have been different.
Japan is like a filler team to complete the set rather than an equal competitor. UAE's team is more comparable to that of Afghanistan and Nepal.
The semi that matters the most is Bangladesh vs Pakistan.
622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Aspect of Sports Betting or Casino Gambling Posed a Challenge for You? on: December 12, 2023, 02:58:10 PM
What aspect of sports betting or casino gambling posed an initial challenge for you when you first started, but which you eventually grasped? How did you finally understand it. Did a friend explain it, did you watch a YouTube video, participate in a sports betting community on social media, or did you figure it out through a trial-and-error approach?

The thing I struggled most was Texas Holdem Poker. We have local versions of that poker and the rules are slightly different and when there's a competitor who is better informed than yourself, you stand no chance in poker. For other sports you can try and learn and for most it's just about luck but with poker and multiple people in the table, there are luck, strategies and reading and playing with competitors mind is very important.
For learning it, I searched on google and read the top suggested sites and wikipedia articles as I wanted to learn specific things quickly. Video are more fun and passive way to learn. Not suitable when you want to learn something quickly.

Hi, I have left the campaign as I have associated myself with another campaign. Might join again when I'm free as I'm bullish on Eloncoin. Eloncoin to the moon.

625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Know the Next PEPE on: December 09, 2023, 04:10:36 AM
Another thing that would matter for newer meme coins in future would be it's efficiency on transfer. Pepe and multiple other ERC20 coins at the moment are being effected by the higher transaction for their native transfer. Intra exchange transfer and intra wallet transfer are being facillated by the specific exchanges and wallets but it's difficult to transact them on chain. In such case, coins like BONK would have better scope.
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Plan for making a small dream come true on: December 09, 2023, 02:44:23 AM
Great strategy, this is a fail safe plan. I too have something like that placed but a bit humble and closer. You would double your investment mostly within the first two exit points and hitting the 3rd or 4th would be an added bonus.
And as the general trend of crypto is upwards, there's no doubt you'll hit them. It's the time we are not sure about.
Everyone interested in investment should have such plans to have a profit in short term as well as in the long.
627  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why Binance charge me $2K more than the current BTC price? on: December 09, 2023, 01:49:13 AM
I don't understand why Binance charge me $2K more than the current BTC price? https://i.imgur.com/6H4pPmk.png

I really don't understand why?

Is even funny how they show $26K on the front page of the site when you are logout: https://i.imgur.com/iFdYRzD.png

When I login, the price is $2K more than the current BTC price $44K

All this is via the web site, not the app, the iOS app is not available in my country, only Binance.US not work in my country.

Any help please!

The price they show on the frontpage is realtime trading price. i.e. at that price people are buying or selling bitcoin with either of the usd pegged coin. Most probably with USDT.
The price for exchanging bitcoin from USDT and USDC would still have some difference and that still doesn't include the fee.
When you are swapping (not exchanging), it would look for a price that would completely and instantly matching your request so the price would be on expensive side.
And when you are buying with cards or payment processor, you are swapping with added binance fees and added payment processor fees, that would make the price higher.

In today's match of India U19 vs Afghanistan U19 team, Afghanistan U19 team came out to bat first and set a target of 173 runs in 50 overs. Afghanistan U19 team batsmen did not bat very well. Now India U19 team came out to bat. They scored 125 runs in 28.4 overs.  India U19 Team.Lost 3 wickets till now.Looks like India U19 Team will win this match very easily need 49 runs to win now.

And no surprise, India U19 beat Afghanistan U19 by 7 wickets in the first match of the ACC U19 Men's Asia Cup 2023. India U19 kicked off their journey in the ACC U19 Men's Asia Cup 2023 with a fantastic win. Congrats to India U19 for their victory, and of course, they're the favorites in the ACC U19 Men's Asia Cup 2023.

The results came as expected. Anything contrary to that would have been a surprise. The scores of 150+ made by both the underdog teams were respectable. Both of the team were able to take 3 wickets of the stronger side. No doubt India and Pakistan would come up as the qualifying team of the group and eventually meet in the finals.

Today there's two matches in the group B. Bangladesh vs UAE and Sri lanka vs Japan. It should be a easy win for both of the test playing teams. UAE might be able to give a good game compared to Japan.
629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New feature on AltcoinsTalks forum - you can teleport your rank from bitcointalk on: December 08, 2023, 03:27:10 AM
Does anyone have any useful info on the admins of this forum? Who are they and which side they are? I feel bitcointalk has let me down, so I would like to join another forum if it's possible and would like to know about altcoinstalk team.

You won't get the same type of engagement from other open forums.  Knowing this was the original no point in moving on.  What exactly is it that let ypu down.  The problem here mostly has to do with scammers but if you split for another forum and it' gets big same thing will happen there.  Tough to find a place to get the engagement that this forum has.

I have tried a number of other forums that were built as a competitor to bitcointalk but none of them were even equal to some specific crypto based forum. They seemed like a half hearted effort with a lot of spelling and grammatical mistakes even on the interface. And there are almost none genuine engagement. Some of the bounty managers here tried to promote some forums with running concurrent and similarly rewarded bounties on both the bitcointalk and another forum but they too stopped doing that when the ads were not getting any organic reach.
630  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you still advised more buy and store? on: December 08, 2023, 02:33:53 AM
I was thinking new kind of plan to buy bitcoin every month from my salary immediately my company paids me but I still have other responsibilities to carry with family so am skeptical about it especially now that the price has no direction. If can afford storing every month in a long run I may realizes half of bitcoin unit and that's a big achievement to buy but to you is funny because you have enough of it. So advise me on what to do! Should I hold on because of the instabilities in price? Or I should buy and store? Over to you

I'm going to accumulate a small amount of bitcoin everyday with my monthly savings. I'll be doing it till bitcoin remains below 50K. 50K to 100K would be a no buy no sell zone and anything above 100K, I'll start selling. Doing so I plan to bring x3 profit as my average buy price would be much lower than 50K while I'll sell on different slabs above 100K. There's no doubt I'll achieve it but the real question is how soon? It won't be worth if it takes 10 years. There are so much hype of 100K that I believe it should be achieved in next couple of years. So, I'll recommend you to keep buying.
631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 07, 2023, 04:10:54 PM
Under 19 Asia cup starts tomorrow, all games played in dubai. Top 8 men's team of Asia would compete in a league and knock out matches to determine the best youth team.
Group A remains as the toughest group with India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nepal. Only top two team from group through league matches would go forward to semi-finals.
Group B seems comparative easier with Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, UAE and Japan.
Tomorrow the match are India vs Afghanistan and Nepal vs Pakistan.
632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to be cautious: Everyone is not market expert on: December 07, 2023, 01:52:11 PM
From past few weeks whenever I open any browser or social media all I could see is some random blogs and news about Altcoins which will have massive pump and which coins I have to invest.

Folks, it's times to be more cautious than every and never go with any random prediction provided over telegram or through blogs as it's a routine that once the crypto market is trending upwards and bullrun is expected we see a lot of experts in the market via various channels like Youtube, Twitter, Telegram, Discord and WhatsApp group sharing random coins with catchy headlines like "Top 5 altcoins with 100x pump", "Whales are investing in these altcoins", "Altcoins which will go to moon", etc.

Please try to understand these are the same people who spreads fud during bear market and impersonates as experts.

Don't go with any such predictions and rather do your own research because I have seen people randomly investing into shitcoins just because it's mentioned over Twitter and the person who has tweeted has huge followers. There will be so much of deceiving as they will share some 10 coins and even if one of them prospers they will use it as upselling point.

It's difficult to predict the crypto market. It could be the starting phase of a new bull run where bitcoin reaches 100K and all of alts make their all time high.
But it could be a small price boost before the bitcoin halving. And the current situation could act as a bull trap for the traders.
Whatever be the result, we should play safe. Keep both the stakes of stable coin as well as crypto so we neither be left behind on the bull run are put our money on coins at expensive price and never recovering from it.
633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum price before Christmas on: December 07, 2023, 12:06:35 PM
Hello,
If someone has made a loss in buying and selling Ethereum, what is your suggestion? Should he\she hold Ethereum?
Is it possible for the price to reach $2300 before Christmas?

Thanks.

If you are in profit, sell 50% of it. Christmas to Chinese new year  is considered to be slow days for crypto trading. The market remains sideways or falls at this time.
As Ethereum has gained a good percentage and it could go through a correction. The price rise comes in waves and we might get chance to buy it back cheaper at later time.
Selling 50% and keeping the rest would save you from FOMO as well as loss. No one can guarantee the market movement, so its upto us to play safe.
634  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Everything has changed on: December 07, 2023, 02:20:44 AM

I don't know whether what I'm feeling other people are feeling it or am just having this feeling based on the country where I'm located, or am feeling this way because of age and responsibility. Before now everything was easy for the rich , poor, and middle class, you can even be happy without having any money with you. But this time it seems different,  you can still have money but still their is is no inner joy. Now even the people around are not real and genuine but fake, can even betray for free. Is it that as the world is evolving people are changing too.

The world is ever changing and the rate is faster than ever. It's a struggle to keep up with the pace. Comparatively life has gotten better. There are overall improvements in transportation, healthcare and social welfare from state.
Money has lost it's value. With rising inflation, people who are ought to earn for the family are spending more time to work than spending time with their family. That might bring the sense of discontended. Comparatively it has been safer to give birth to your child but costlier to raise them.
Social media and peer pressure is what stressing people. The deteriorating mental health is another reason why our society is breaking down.
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your Favorite Altcoin and Why? on: December 06, 2023, 06:28:18 PM
There are 1000's of Alternative Crypto-Currencies out there, but which one do you actually use?

Post your favorite Altcoin below and tell us why you think so.

I use a multiple of coins for various reasons but what I love and want to see more are near instant transacting currencies with zero fees like Nano.
They are a bit popular along with their potassium filled brother Banano but they have not got much of the exposure they needs.
If they are mainstream, they'll make an excellent coin for day to day trades for goods and services. They could replace currencies.
636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you deal with high transaction fee on BTC on gambling? on: December 06, 2023, 04:28:24 PM
I think everyone notice how high the current fee right now on Bitcoin network. I’m sure player like me that relying only on signature campaign payment in Bitcoin is having a hard time to play right now since the fee is insanely high.

How do you deal with this problem? Is there any casino that allows no confirmation to deposit? Let’s say I will send my Bitcoin using fee below average and then play while it’s still unconfirmed. I knew that some casino do have instant deposit but I never try depositing much lower fee to the average fee if they will still credit instantly.

For the same reasons, there are no casino that accepts non-confirmation deposits. Every of I know needs at least three confirmations.
A few days ago, I got a recommended fees of $14 in bitcoins in an online wallet.
The thing with bitcoin is you need to plan your transactions and achieve your goals with minimum numbers of transactions.
You need to use Non-custodial wallets like Electrum, use segwit addresses and decrease the recommended fee if you are not in a hurry.
There are congestion at times but they get eased in a few hours.
637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is effecting Market? on: December 06, 2023, 03:46:35 PM
The rise in the price of BTC (Bitcoin) has certainly had an effect on the market. With its increasing value, there has been a surge of interest and investment in this digital currency. This has led to a ripple effect on other cryptocurrencies as well, driving up their prices as people seek alternatives to Bitcoin.

Furthermore, due to its global reach and impact, fluctuations in the price of BTC can also have an influence on traditional financial markets. For example, when BTC experienced a sharp decline in 2018, it also caused stock markets around the world to drop.

So guys what are your thoughts about current situation.

Crypto market has always been stirred by the price of bitcoin. Some years ago, bitcoin was the only trading pair for any currencies for the exchanges. Now, USD is more popular but the emotions and trends are still lead by bitcoin. The upcoming bitcoin halving has been one of the reason for the current bull and there ought to be some correction exactly after that. But on a long term there have been ultimate bulls that made bitcoin and most of altcoins hit their all time high.
638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Site For Updated Cryptocurrency Prices Without Refreshing Browser? on: December 06, 2023, 11:52:14 AM
Coinmarketcap seems to be the main one it seems?  The other would be gemini where you click on prices?  For binance when I check it as a non user... because I can't have an account there, it doesn't update unless I refresh it every single time.  I had a binance account a while back but can no longer use.  I only have accounts on coinbase and gemini.  Do prices update for all crypto when logged into my coinbase account?

So if you don't want to be logged into an exchange account, what sites allow you to view up to date crypto prices without refreshing?  Seems like gemini is the only one?  Kraken and Bitstamp would work as well?  Anyone know why binance non US doesn't autorefresh?

Another good alternative for coinmarketcap and coingecko is CryptoCompare. They are much simpler and easier to look at.
I'm in no way involved with them but it has became my goto site for price update. There also seems to have more functionality and clearer data but you need to login to use all of those.
Even with the constant update, I feel the site is lighter than coinmarketcap and as I use an adblocker, I can't compare the number of ads on any of them.

639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on staying responsible. on: December 06, 2023, 07:19:05 AM
Let's discuss the unique challenges of responsible gambling in the world of cryptocurrencies.

Crypto gambling can be fun, but it's important to keep our financial boundaries intact.

Share your tips and thoughts on staying responsible in this digital realm.

Being responsible means staying on your limits. The limits can be different for individuals and the circumstances.
Considering the online gambling scenario, there should be a limit on how much you lose and how much you bet. This should be a low proportion of your personal income. Gambling with other's money don't count as responsible gambling.
There should be a limit how much time you spend gambling. Even if you are within your budget, you should not exceed your allocated time. Longer period of gambling would make you reckless and take riskier decisions.

There were many things in my mind and I was watching prices. I was hoping to get a new washing machine for the family.  But the price drop this year were either negligible or none.
I really wanted a good smartwatch and a speaker. I ended up stocking grocery supplies, some cosmetics and winter clothes.
The single most expensive shopping I did was a piano for my dad with his money.
