Team of the mOst Active devs of any Coin I can See right here. one person ask a question and 3 Team members ans him..
I am getting believe in this coin. this coin have some potentials..

I want to ask something.. the roadmap don't have any dates and time? when will you going to do all those things? or they are done already? sorry. I am new in this coin.

I can only speak for myself but I'm checking this thread every few minutes because I'm so excited about what we're doing.  It has been nearly two years since I was last involved in a project that I had such high hopes for.

We've got one hell of a team together and it is getting stronger every week.  The dev fund has nearly 5 BTC in it and our plans are beginning to take shape. Things are feeling pretty good right now.

Same thing happens as removing it.

We get this:

"You must specify a throneprivkey in the configuration. Please see documentation for help."

~ The Hive ~

Why not remove the contents of your crowncoin.conf?

I have an empty crowncoin.conf and it works fine.

TheHiveMind, I can only apologise.  I misspoke.

You can remove THrone=1 and THroneprivkey from your crowncoin.conf.
623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRW] CrownCoin (SHA256) | Masternodes (Thrones) | DGW | Mergedmining | etc on: October 14, 2016, 02:54:57 PM
We are curious about one more thing. We had some thrones up, but they went down sometime last night.

Could someone confirm the following:

Even with multiple thrones our crowncoin.conf should look like this:

Code:
rpcuser=
rpcpassword=
listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
externalip=
throne=1
throneprivkey=

And there should only be the priv key / external IP from one of the thrones. The other ones are kept in throne.conf

And that the throne.conf must have all of the throne information placed within after starting all of them inorder to keep them up? If they are removed then they go down?

For more information about The Hive's problem: When we Throne start-many it looks like all of my IP addresses go onto the throne list, are possibly only seen once and then as last seen becomes ever longer our uptime never gets updated for every throne except the one that is in our crowncoin.conf file.

Our Throne room is more like a house of cards at the moment... collapsing at the faintest of breezes. We need to troubleshoot in order to get stronger materials so that it is impenetrable. We thank you in advance.

~ The Hive ~

Not quite, your crowncoin.conf should look like this:

rpcuser=
rpcpassword=
listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
externalip=
throne=1
throneprivkey=

The only place for throneprivkeys and IPs is in throne.conf

EDIT:  You also don't *need* to have listen=1 in your crowncoin.conf.  It will only increase network traffic on your home connection and offer no benefit to the network when we already have 230+ full nodes.

What is the current price of CrownCoin?

0.0000312 BTC / $0.02

BOUNTY ANNOUNCEMENT

Somehow, Crowncoin has managed to survive thusfar without a Testnet! All testing to date has been done in hacked together sandbox networks.

I am offering a 3,500 CRW bounty to the first person to generate a Testnet genesis block and make the necessary changes to the code on github for us to test and include in next release. Our devs have it on their list but have other priorities right now and I'd rather get it in place sooner rather than later.

If you are planning on doing the work, please post here to say so in order to minimise the chance of duplication of effort.

Bounty will be paid once pull request is made, discussed and tested.
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRW] CrownCoin (SHA256) | Masternodes (Thrones) | DGW | Mergedmining | etc on: October 14, 2016, 10:12:27 AM
Just a mini update.

Im currently speaking to a couple of designers that will be able to help us make the OP more appealing.

It'd be great to have some what of a standardised color scheme, (Black&Gold) or (White&Gold) for the OP and the new wallet look.

Also we need a clear plan and projected dates so we can hand the ideas over to the designer so he can make an amazing looking roadmap.

Coming soon....

-New wallet makeover
-Android app (Throne monitoring tool)
-Update to latest DASH code for Thrones
-Update to 0.10 Bitcoin core
New forum OP design and roadmap

Other big news has yet to be released to the public.

Just a bit more detail on the update on the Bitcoin core update.  We're aiming for 0.12 but getting there incrementally.  Work on the code is progressing brilliantly but we think we are going to need at least a month of testing before release. If I factor in some slack I expect that we will be releasing a wallet with new Bitcoin core in December.

Whilst we are updating the Dash code for Thrones, we are also making other changes to the service network. Some of these changes are standalone improvements to the solid foundation that Dash provides but others are going to be much more radical. I'll be sharing more details on this soon. Dash works very well indeed but we think there some things that need to be improved and some new features in order to support our roadmap.

thank you
good luck for future

Here is a sample of a Throne.conf (Throneprivkeys changed). In theory you can just append new thrones into existing throne.conf however there is a bug with start-many that means that if any of the thrones in your conf are already active, the new one's won't start.  This will be fixed in the next release.  The work around is to back up your throne.conf and then temporarily remove the ones that are already running.  Once the new ones have started, you can merge your backed up throne.conf and the new one.  Annoying but will be temporary.

Code:

We thank your people. The Hive has only one more question, hopefully. Does The Hive keep the crowncoin.conf and update "thrones=1" to "thrones=n"? Where n= number of total thrones? Or do we keep "thrones=1" written in crowncoin.conf and merely add in a throne.conf file to the Crowncoinfile with respective IP addresses, private keys....

The Hive's Throne Room will soon manifest.

Cordially,

~ The Hive ~

Keep Crowncoin.conf.  That is still used to specify wallet settings.

As you suggest, keep throne=1 in crowncoin.conf and add extra entries in throne.conf.

Throne=1 simply tells the wallet that it is controlling however many thrones are in throne.conf.

We absolutely have thought of services for the Crowncoin network, the current lead dev has the killer app but
he holds his cards close to his chest (understandable). I assure you Crowncoin will not be 'just another DASH clone' for long.
We have a real passion for the plans and ideas we have and think Crowncoin can benefit all Crypto currencies.

VPS - OVH or contact CHAOSiTEC... However you'd be doing crowncoin a fever if you could find another provider (decentralisation Tongue)

OVH = $3.50
Chaositec = $2.60

The Hive appreciates your help. What does a .conf file look like when there are multiple thrones? Do we have to make a brand new .conf file or is there a way to append new thrones into the existing .conf file.

The Hive is grateful for your assistance in building its Throne room.

I am curious about how frequently the thrones payout to their respective wallets?  Additionally, has anyone else had to run swapfile to supplement their virtual memory?  Lastly, I might be able to trouble shoot this, but utilizing the my throne section requires that you start the address there?  Or can I populate the requisite information manually?

Thank you for any insight

I find that I need a swap file when compiling on a VPS with less than 1GB of RAM.  In theory you don't need to make the swap file persistent to run Crowncoind but I make it persistent to make it easier to compile updates later on.

These are the commands I use for a 1GB swap on Debian and Ubuntu...

Code:
sudo mkdir -p /var/cache/swap/
sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/var/cache/swap/myswap bs=1M count=1024
sudo mkswap /var/cache/swap/myswap
sudo swapon /var/cache/swap/myswap

Then you need to insert a line into fstab to make sure the new swap file persists after reboot:

Code:
sudo nano /etc/fstab

Paste this line in:
/var/cache/swap/myswap    none    swap    sw    0   0

CTRL+o to write file

CTRL+x to exit nano

I would suggest that the CRW team start thinking about how CRW might provide actually useful services to people via your overlay network. Services that might actually provide a revenue stream and thus increase the market desirability of your digital token.

Go look at the CPU stats on your VPS's - they spend 99% of their time doing absolutely nothing. There are dozens of Dash clones, none of them do anything useful.

We would like to agree with the above statements, specially the aspect about revenue generating services. It is probable that the dev team has thought of useful services that will generate value. They just haven't told us yet. Much hush hush around this, due to protecting IP.

RE: VPSs. What services do the denizens of CRW use?

 ^( '-' )^ | The Hive would like to set up its very own Throne room. | ^( '-' )^

We see Vultr could work for 5 USD / month. But we might want one that's less expensive.

Apart from anything, we're a Bitcoin clone with Namecoin and Dash features.  I think that is enough to classify us as NOT another DASH clone, at least until we launch our services!

In a few days we'll even be on a newer Bitcoin code base than DASH.

For me its a very good example of why Proof of Work as we know it cannot be the future of cryptocurrency.

Is $2,000 to $3000 per hour being added to the value of Crowncoin?  No.  Not even close.

The same argument stands for Bitcoin.  If I were to do the calculations, PoW is surely just a huge waste of natural resources.

What is the alternative?  I have no idea.  I suspect whoever invents the next big thing will be as famous as Satoshi though.

And just to try to hammer that home, the Crowncoin network hash rate is currently:

Four quadrillion, ninety-five trillion, five hundred five billion, eight hundred fifty million, eight hundred fifty-six thousand, two hundred fifty-seven hashes per second  Shocked

Huge increase in hashing power, 3.6PH!

If everybody mining Crowncoin is using the very latest and most efficient mining hardware, that means 362KW of electricity is being spent on Crowncoin. That is about $2,000 per hour. The real figure is likely to be closer to $3,000 per hour.

Most will be merge mining but even so, that is quite impressive.

We dont know what else to suggest my friend...
We have done everything we can...

What do you mean that you've been stuck there in 1 weeks? Are you saying that you cannot trade your crowncoin in yobit though you have a balance in that exchange? And also defunctec could you explain the details about you've done everything in yobit? Why? do we have a problem in in yobit about our coin(CRW)?
im buy CRW on yobit and i was check the wallet is active. then i withdraw to my wallet. then just in time the wallet is delay on yobit, and in 2 hours the wallet maintennance Cheesy i think its mean my coin stuck nowhere Sad

It is mean, Yobit sucks!

im lost 2k CRW and now the price was 5k sat haha not much but 250% profit if my crw not stuck in yobit Cheesy

Keep contacting them and compain.  Lets see what happens over the next few days.

In the meantime, set up an account on c-cex Smiley

Yobit usually takes it's time to attend to support tickets, don't know how they manage to keep going. Huh

In the meantime we have new community members who cannot access their coins. They are a disgrace.

Fortunately, when they update, user coins should be available.  If we were forking the chain, they would have been lost.

Contact them every day. Twice a day. You must keep pressure on them. The crwonckoin team will continue to do the same.

If they don't update to correct wallet, there is nothing we can do.

The Hive has become agitated with the insufferable oafs who have made themselves denizens of this community. Clearly some community members are not royalty - nor, for that matter, do they even earn the title of knight. Instead, they have solidified their statuses as serfs. This does not bode well for the future of the project and we will be allocating our funds elsewhere so as to have a throne room without all of the jesters.

We are looking to purchase around 3 BTC (depends on price offered). If any of you would be so kind to sell to us on c-cex, let us know.

~ The Hive ~

You mean we should dump our coins to your offer or price? I don't think the CrownCoin holders and traders are that much stupid..
I suggest you just buy from the current price.. or contact the owner.. he may give you discount if you buy huge amount.
Yes, we should not support any one to do this type of actions. I just wonder for what the benefits he will be doing so ?
Usually traders bump the prices by hoarding big amount of coins and for their personal profits they will sell. He might be looking to buy from users in cheaper prices, we should not allow that.

People are welcome to trade any coin however they like in my opinion.  On exchange, off exchange...above or below spot price.

There is a perfectly valid scenario where somebody wants to sell a large quantity of coins off exchange.  Likewise, somebody might want to buy a lot without pushing the market up.  If two like minded people connect...then so be it.

I'm not sure anybody will be willing to sell a large amount right now.

The dev team are currently ahead of schedule and services soon to be announced.  To sell now would be a bit thick.

Why not put up a buy wall and see what happens?  There might still be some miners around with a big CRW wallet from before DGW was implemented waiting for market depth to dump into.
