621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: November 04, 2023, 08:25:09 AM
Emotions when gambling will certainly determine the future, even people who have limits in gambling can become addicted because the defeats they get make them upset and want to chase the losses they have experienced. It is not wrong to chase the losses they have experienced, but it is unlikely that chasing losses will result in a big win. So at times like this they have lost self-control so that nothing can stop them from chasing losses.
Yes, it's true that there's nothing wrong with chasing losses and OP succeeded in getting them, but keep in mind that there is only a 1% chance of getting money back from previous losses, so don't think that OP succeeded, other people might also succeed, this is a ridiculous and risky method. Of course, people have to stop limiting themselves after experiencing defeat without having to chase defeat.

Some gamblers think that luck doesn't always first but sometimes it comes later which gives them hope and continues to gamble. Luckily, OP had it 1% chance of getting back his losses but can't be sure that it will happen the next time. What if our luck never comes that day, pretty sure we end up empty and regrets which is why it is not advisable to do this unless you have millions and don't care about money.
Perhaps, it was very important to know our limitations, and if that 1% chance it right, then no way we could think about getting back our money.
622  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can it be real bull or just a temptation. on: November 03, 2023, 09:55:02 PM
I do believe that this was the beginning of the real bull market, before the breakout occurred, which got us to this very level of $35k, there was a pattern I saw on the weekly chart in which the breakout led to the previous bull market that saw us hit $69k ATH I wanted to open a thread here and discuss, but later to discover the following morning that Bitcoin already started its move and began to follow this very pattern, the next target we are going to test is $40k price level.
I feel that the recent bullish moment is just a temptation to increase the hype in the market, in the next few weeks the price of bitcoin will definitely move stably and sideways, it's not yet time for bitcoin to pass its ATH but I'm sure before this year ends, the price of bitcoin will pass $40k. Bitcoin is a very volatile asset and market sentiment really influences its price, so don't ever think twice about Bitcoin when the market is bearish or bullish.
Most of us here think that we're not be going to bullish and besides, it was too early to think about while the halving hasn't come yet. Whatever the reason for this pump, still we could say that the market remains unpredictable. Still, we have no assurance that the current surge will continue before the end of this year in fact, after a few days from the pump, it started to show some decline already which means that after the surge, people selling off their coins already. That is why I have no confidence yet for the bullish to come, not this year.
623  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost of my capital has made me to have a change of mind about Bitcoin . on: November 03, 2023, 09:37:28 PM

my question here is ' what is the best strategy to trade without losing my initial capital ?.

Does your friend tell you that trading is risky and has no assurance of making a profit and incurring losses? Because if he did it already, then you are aware that every time you trade, you can't make sure that your money will get back fully, or might lose some of it.

I will tell you OP that there is no perfect strategy in trading but you can practice more using spot trading. You can also use a demo account to further enhance your trading knowledge and skill but still, this won't give you the assurance that you will never lose as it seems possible, in fact, even old traders still experiencing this one.
624  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What do people think of Kraken on: November 03, 2023, 09:15:29 PM
Kraken may have some issues which make some users get mad at them but still, I'd never think all of those negative reviews are true.
Of course, anyone can make a comment or complaint against Kraken especially if it is mishandled but without knowing their issues in the past seems too unfair to think that their complaint is valid and needs support. I know the team is making those issues will resolves but if the complainant will not cooperate and accept their mistakes, no solution be made. I have used Kraken in the past few days, I have no problem with this exchange and that is because I used to follow their rules and regulations.
625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 03, 2023, 03:02:23 PM
Do you have any early picks for tomorrow's games?

How do you see the Dallas vs. Nuggets matchup? Dallas is the underdog on the road, getting +6.5 points, and they are still undefeated. Could this be a trap, or can we trust Kyrie and Luka to beat Jokic and the Nuggets?

Additionally, is it a good idea to bet on the Knicks against the inconsistent Bucks?
626  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You are also like them? on: November 02, 2023, 09:51:34 PM
You got it, point to point, they basically do those videos just to attract investors, to invite them into their group chat like telegram or such, some is legitimate and you will surely receive either signals or they are the ones that will handle your trading account. But it is also the way scammers do, because many people easy shined to the words their hear and earning they see from those eye catching videos scattered in every social media platforms.
Yes, indeed that is one way to attract more people. In this case, when there are more and more group members on their channel, this will definitely strengthen their position to ensure that their group is trusted and full of reputation. And they also make several price predictions and share about take profits within the group. The next problem that happens is that they always offer a VIP group for members who want to get signal services and also more significant and large amounts of market analysis. Of course they provide some interesting potential for users. But of course this really doesn't guarantee that our condition will be much better by joining this trading signal or having a meeting with conditions like that.
Then, in the end, all of those people who join the group will suffer losses after experiencing better during their early days.
Honestly, I do not trust these signal groups, though I was able to watch their videos but it never meant that I was following them. The wrong thing that happens with some people (newbies) is that they easily believe these influencers without doing research. So, no wonder they also suffer losses having the fact that they don't have knowledge and idea about the market. Because these scammers will find ways to attract investors and innocent people, they even invest money for this just to make people think that they are real and can be trusted.
627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Altcoins Fake? on: November 02, 2023, 09:06:59 PM

First and foremost, it's true that Bitcoin is considered the king of cryptocurrencies, and that status is unlikely to change. However, let's talk about the profit potential. Some coins, which we hold before the altcoin season, can provide substantial returns compared to Bitcoin. Speaking from experience, I held AGIX, INJ, RUNE, and ETH before the recent positive trend in the market. We can observe how much the market has appreciated, and it may continue to do so until the end of the month.

Imagine if you're the type of person who held these coins earlier, even when the market was in a downturn. You would understand how much you've earned just by holding.

Well, the argument is quite true because I also experienced earning more from altcoins. But more people have chosen and are preferred in investing Bitcoin because of trust and confidence that they are holding a coin that will grow and it never scam them which I think is very important when choosing coins to invest.

Hypesd projects can really give us profit but their sustainability is very clear to us that it never lasts longer, it will die after the said event, and very slim to rise back because only a few people (or even nothing) have the courage to reinvest.
628  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has anybody expected this? on: November 02, 2023, 08:39:33 PM
Each year, around this time,  Bitcoin always have this positive outlook a and this wave may continue till after the holiday period that is approaching now,  this is because a lot of people will be stocking up on funds to be used for the holidays and travels and in doing so,  they do look for currency that have some universal ability since most of the time will be spent on vocations.

So I am not surprised to see this recent market price increase with Bitcoin,  because that is most expected and due to volatility it does happen all the time,  that is why we are advised not to expect any particular market behaviour when it comes to Bitcoin because anything can happen at any time.
Perhaps, we have nothing to surprise because all of these pump and dumps is not unusual in the market.
I'd notice that when BER months are coming the price moves high like bullish, it is very usual as it has happened in the past years. This is why I don't think it is because of ETF rumors that send the price to rally but it is the normal reaction of the market. We have this price increase these days and it stays above $30k until the end of this month but can't be sure of its movement next month as we notice also a huge dump and sell-off during that time every year.
629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 02, 2023, 01:38:22 PM
2nd - Denver Nuggets playing like shit. Minnesota Timberwolves blew them out and they cannot recover from it.

I can understand other favorite teams losing in some games due to a lack of consistency. However, it's quite surprising to see the Nuggets lose to the Wolves, especially when they were fully healthy. The main reason for the loss was their three-point shooting. Normally, they're good at shooting threes, but in this game, they only made 18% of their attempts, which is just 6 out of 33 attempts. In other words, they had a very poor game in that regard.
630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 02, 2023, 01:15:01 PM
It was a great ending to that battle of Los Angeles game between the Clippers and Lakers. I thought the Lakers were going to let it slip away but then Paul George fouled out. The stars showed up though. LeBron was on fire all game as was Paul George. Kawhi Leonard wasn’t bad either. Exactly what everyone expected to see. Lakers held out for the win though.
What a game.

Kawhi did the intro on the early quarters and those outside shots were blast. Paul George also was on fire. But that was so bad that they were on the lead and Lakers managed to get back with those leads.

Whilst for the Lakers, everyone also contributed. Although the early for Reaves wasn't so great though but during the OT, he did great.

This is the second time that the Clippers had a game they could have won, but they ended up losing. I think they need to get better at finishing games because they tend to struggle in the second half and lose their confidence, especially when it goes into overtime. I don't mean to disrespect the LA Lakers; they're a good team. However, the Clippers could have won that game if they didn't let the Lakers take a big lead in the third quarter. What I'm saying is they need to play consistently well.

Maybe things will change once James Harden joins them. I think we might see him play his debut in the next Clippers game. We'll see how he fits in with the team, and I'm sure we'll witness a different Clippers team. They might even become the best in the NBA, surpassing what Boston has achieved recently. All this are the positive scenario only, at least for now that's what we should think.
631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin for everyone? on: November 01, 2023, 09:33:58 PM
We need to understand that fact that we all have different preferences and investment interests, and of course, different capabilities.
And to say also that not all were able to appreciate Bitcoin as a good or valuable investment or even think it could be a useful currency in the future. In this instance, we can say that Bitcoin is not for everyone and we know that some have tried investing Bitcoin but later on they quit --this is an example that not all are happy and will stay in crypto.
Too impossible to see someone invest if they have these things,
 - lack of knowledge
 - lack of interest
 - lack of funds
 - negative mindset
632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: November 01, 2023, 09:16:18 PM

This is a unification fight, they'll do everything to make it a clean fight, and if that drug testing is requred, then I think both camp should comply with that.

That's a fair point. Anyone should be able to request drug testing to ensure that a boxer is not cheating. I believe it needs to be mandatory, especially for big fights like this one. Whoever wins this fight will become an undisputed champion, and it's detrimental to boxing if people start to doubt a champion's reputation due to non-compliance with drug testing rules.

Inoue's undeniable strength might lead opponents to question whether his power is natural or the result of performance-enhancing drugs.
633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 01, 2023, 08:52:59 PM
the Suns has 1 timeout remaining on that time so with those remaining minutes.

They did, in fact, call a timeout right after Keldon Johnson's driving layup, but there was only 1 second left on the clock, and Durant couldn't sink the last shot. Since I missed watching the game live, I confirmed by checking out the game story, and it indeed showed that they called a timeout.

You can see it here https://www.espn.ph/nba/playbyplay/_/gameId/401584741
634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: October 31, 2023, 01:58:29 PM
Coach Tim knows how to balance his squad, without JBL the whole squad needs to work alongside each other,  with new reinforcement and Ahanminsi they have good numbers that they can add up to fill some space that JBL can provide,  I think they still going to be as competitive as they are  and still possible to reach the semis and so into the finals.
No doubt, the roster of theirs is already strong and addition of Tony Bishop can make it stronger. The coaching staff has their own basis for choosing him and just as how they've chosen Brownlee, they have also applied that this time because all they want is to have the championship which is usually their goal.

Too early though but we don't know what The Brgy  have to offer this upcoming season.
Just like everyone else, we've got huge expectations on them even without Brownlee.

Yeah right, it's Ginebra. What do we expect from the crowd's favorite right? Though squad wise they are still in good position, we can say that the quad still have competitive stars and role players to help in winning each game, and with the way coach Tim handled his players, we know that there are always secret picks or unexpected rotations that will give more additional entertainment to all the fans.

Almost game time, let's see how they will play this upcoming season, SMB fan here, but Ginebra is Ginebra... Tongue

It might be time for Fajardo to reclaim his status as the Kraken. He hasn't secured a conference best player award recently, which is different from the past when he consistently dominated. While he's not getting any younger, Fajardo, when in good health, remains an unstoppable one in the paint. In the past, there was another 7-footer who could challenge him, but I've forgotten his name; I believe he's currently playing overseas.
635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 31, 2023, 01:26:11 PM
And, that's why Morris wasn't with the team during the last game, the report that he wasn't on the team maybe he was upset he got the news. Well, I'm a Clippers fan but I don't know how they would make this thing work out, their depth is good at least if they have all the healthy players though. I hope Harden just play better now that his wish was fulfilled and he should be or he would just to leave with another team again.

A team with four star players is quite uncommon, and it will be interesting to see how they perform together, especially since all four of them have been the main leaders in their previous teams. Westbrook and Harden have a history of playing together and achieving success. Perhaps this dynamic will work well for the Miami Heat now. However, in my opinion, it would be wise for them to continue considering Kawhi Leonard as their leader, given his consistency and performance within the team.

Don't forget Terrence Mann, who has been performing exceptionally well for the team. He's a young player with a lot of potential and can learn a great deal from the star players he's surrounded by. They say that building good chemistry can be challenging when there are multiple superstars on a team, and that's the task at hand for the Clippers. We'll have to wait and see if it works out. On another note, I'd like to inquire about the rumors regarding the NBA implementing rules to prevent the formation of super teams. Is there any truth to this?
636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How safe do you feel with casinos that ask you to input your log detail. on: October 28, 2023, 02:44:20 PM
With the recent happening as related to phishing, and hacks of accounts a lot of awareness has to be created around the gambling community most especially,  in the area of security and safety of accounts.

This has led me to desire to know the community,  reaction on this subject matter of user login details being frequently asked by a casino,  do you feel safe to see a casino asking you for user name,  or phone number and password each time you open the site in your browser.

I think it was normal to input our login credentials when logging back in unless you've saved your password already.
I don't think it was a hacking trick but just needed in order to access our account. I'd never see it wrong as long as we are using the right platform and with the help of 2FA, all the transactions (in or out) seem to have our permission through 2FA.

Most platforms are encouraging us to enable 2FA authentication to enhance the safety of our accounts. As long as we have a high level of account protection, we are safe. So, it was not necessary to worry about always inputting our username and password when login.
637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 95% of NFTs have a market cap of zero on: October 28, 2023, 12:53:27 PM
(....)
Does it mean NFT is a scam sector of crypto market, or is their concept good, but the execution of the projects are wrecking everything? Is it still possible for NFTs to recover their credibility?
I am really hoping that they will recover, but I will be expecting the legit ones only. We all know there are a lot of scams in NFT or in the cryptocurrency market itself.
So for me, the NFT market is one of the best hype during the last bull market and they are also devastated by the bear market. Just like any other cryptocurrency project on every bear market, only the legit remains and will continue.
The question is if we can still see any of these projects to recover because all of them are scams IMO. NFT got its season and shows an impressive market breakout but it only stays short and has been declining after the hype because nobody cares to hold it instead of selling them all. That is why I don't see any reason for us to expect them to rise, they're dying already. I'd just remember those ICO and IEO times when they were very popular in the market but now, they've been ignored because they are not profitable anymore and that can be the same to happen to NFT.
638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: October 28, 2023, 12:10:51 PM
As the gambling industry is evolving, I think innovations would have kicked in that can make someone create a career from gambling. I do not know how this can be achieved but I feel it is possible.

Making gambling a full time job might be seen as risky but I still feel one can make gambling full time job and a career.

What do you all think?

I believe that no one can make a successful career only on gambling. In many books, psychologists have identified the moment when a gambler begins to treat gambling absolutely incorrectly. I'm talking about the moment when all the troubles begin and the fun of the game ends. This moment occurs when the gambler decides that gambling is not a way to have fun, but a possible income. And even on a permanent basis! And this is gambler's wrong thinking. Gambling is a game, and starting to play you need to set yourself up that you are going to lose now. And you'll still have fun. But if you only think about earning money, then you are doomed. You will lose, and not have fun. Therefore, no one can make a permanent source of income on this.
You believe no one but you were wrong because a lot of people become successful in gambling. Well, of course, their number is just small compared to the number of gamblers who struggle with losses and fail in their ambition. We can't say they will be relying on gambling alone but also have other sources of income. I would say that they are destined to become a gambler and they don't solely rely on luck but their skills and knowledge. Of course, they don't gamble where they can't maximize their knowledge and skills. They become successful because they absolutely know what they are doing and most of all, they control their emotions and greed.
639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep a record of winnings and losses in gambling? on: October 28, 2023, 10:04:08 AM
Do you keep a record of winnings and losses in gambling? Many here will feel that this is waste of time and will also not let them enjoy the game peacefully. Do you also have same mentality?
And it makes sense, really. Why? Because all of those things don't contribute any but instead, it only ruins our day seeing a huge amount we've lost. Perhaps, it was not necessary as we know that we've lost a lot rather than winnings, and it was natural in gambling. At least, we don't have anything to remember that disappoints but instead, we still make fun of gambling.

Well, I couldn't really imagine doing this and I'd never been thinking of doing it. Might some gamblers have been into such things but for sure, they will soon stop it.
640  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Use Crypto Signals? on: October 28, 2023, 07:54:53 AM
I just hope that everyone has already learned from their mistakes of trusting and using signals which it cause losses. And of course, those newbies will also be able to take time to listen and understand how this crypto signal works.

We don't need to be fooled by these scammers and we don't let them ruin our journey. In fact, we can make our own TA, our own way of trading, not just rely on other people pretending that they know the future because that is absolutely a big lie. They are also making predictions, the same thing you did.
