Nope, unsafe.
you should not click on links you don't know. Hover mouse of computer / touchpad on link, to get exactly link (if it is shortened/ hidden link) to check address first, compare it with what you remember; if link looks strange, stop at it, don't click and let your safety depends on antivirus software's warnings.
6242  Economy / Gambling / Re: Warnings! A new wave of attacks on renowned casinos. on: August 08, 2019, 11:20:05 PM
I use avg antivirus so I dont have these types of problems
If you totally depends on antivirus softwares, you will be unsafe. Being careful with links, and always check site address before clicking and logging in your accounts. Bookmarking site address is helpful but there are risks of tampering too. So, it is better if you are more careful, and remember site address, then type exactly sure what you want to use. Try not to search using Google because phising sites might appear at top of search results.
6243  Other / Meta / Re: Limit signature campaigns on: August 08, 2019, 03:37:31 PM
Disable both signatures, avatars, and personal texts, because people can get payments from their avatars or personal texts. Forum will look purely clean without signatures and avatars.
While you're at it, remove usernames too Cheesy That's going to be an interesting forum with totally anonymous users.
Interesting idea, I like it.
6244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LAUNCH] GINcoin | One-click masternodes LIVE on: August 08, 2019, 11:25:13 AM
Where are GINcoin team? They don't care to create a post to announce officially about their platform shutdown. This is very important information for their customers, but they did respected their customers by ignoring announcements, weeks after they announce in their Discord channel. Price has kept falling after the shutdown announcement in Discord. I think if GINcoin team seriously to keep their project moving forwards, despite the shutdown of their masternode hosting service, they should come back to release announcement here for community.
6245  Other / Meta / Re: Limit signature campaigns on: August 08, 2019, 05:15:49 AM
Make bitcoin paid signature campaigns the only acceptable campaign on the forum and the spam level will reduce by 90% or make Bitcoin & Ethereum. (BTC for Bitcoin service section and ETH for Altcoin service section). Now to get a 99% reduction of spamming, implement a new rule that get your signature wearing privileges remove for 3-12months based on your level of spam, when you're caught shitposting (having a certain number of good spam reports against your account). I'm positive a decent number of users would change their posting habbit just to avoid getting banned from wearing signature ads.

The fact is, we're in a time, were people tend to earn from any social media platforms they're on. We shouldn't denial them that privilege unless they're caught abusing the privilege.
Since 2018, the forum has changed and become better, there are less shitposts, but shitposts still be here if we look at patrol.
Furthermore, the most common type of shitposts nowadays are proof of authentication posts
New restriction on airdrops / proof of authentication posts. Is it real?
Reporting Proof Of Authentication posts
Thousands of bounty participants repeatedly make their POA each week. If we randomly choose one user whom makes POA from patrol., then check that user post history, we will likely more than 90% of posts in post history is POA posts.
Additionally, I think issues will be improved better if restricting rights to join bounties, campaigns for only Junior Members and above; or only Members and above.
In patrol, we can see most of POAs made by Newbies.

Edit because don't want to make new posts  Cheesy
I don't think this suggested solution is enough

6246  Economy / Gambling / Warnings! A new wave of attacks on renowned casinos. on: August 08, 2019, 03:53:38 AM
Within recent days, I read some posts/ threads that mentioned about attacks on renowned casinos: BitVest, PrimeDice.

BitVest
Hackers tried to scam others with fake BitVest give aways:
⚠️ How Scammer tried to Hack my Bitcointalk and how to Protect yourself?⚠️
Appreciated findings and warnings of dkbit98
Thanks.

One more thing I noticed, after I entered fake account information with password FU.K YOUXXX
is that it redirects me to regular Bitvest Plinko Signature Campaign after it takes my 'login details'
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5088858.0

Maybe lightlord, creator of this topic, should be contacted regarding this,
just that he is aware of the situation.
They are probably using other random links, with malicious attachments.

One more way to super protect is to install browser extension called NoScript, but it is a bit complex.

PrimeDice
Attackers use fake domain name.
Someone's selling a domain, primedice.net, watch our for phishers: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5173150.0

He also posted about making his own dice site, it'd be interesting to know if he's managed to start one: https://archive.is/pXbFI

Maybe more accounts from same owners might do this in coming days, to attack BitVest, PrimeDice, and other casinos that have high traffic and huge users.

Do you set your stop-limit triggers for your bitcoin investment?
Newbies who do not about this, please read: One of the Best Weapons in Trading (a great guide for newbie traders, from GreatArkansas)
I will take profits around $13300 and will do stop-loss around $10800.
6249  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: One of the Best Weapons in Trading on: August 08, 2019, 02:44:53 AM
Stop-loss orders are good, for traders/ investors whom are underterminantly with their trading orders. They usually hesitate too much when trends broken, and price deeply crashes. They hesitate to do stop-loss, just wait hopelessly for price recoveries, even upward trends already broken. Learning how to use stop-loss is essential thing when joining crypto tradings.
One more point, always set up your stop-loss orders with percent of acceptable losses (from entry price) lower than your expected percent of profit-taking price (from entry points). Choosing good entry points, at which probability to see price rising higher than price fallings; and applying those key principles to set up stop-loss and profit-taking orders will help traders/ investors get profits in crypto market.
Personally, I always determine price to do stop-loss and profit-taking before I decide to buy bitcoin/ altcoins.
6250  Other / Meta / Re: Limit signature campaigns on: August 08, 2019, 01:40:43 AM
Firstly, bounty hunters should read this thread: Signature Campaign Guidelines (read this before starting or joining a campaign)

Secondly, bounty managers should restrict appropriate maximum posts per week for their campaigns (their campaigns can be paid per posts or paid per week, but eligible maximum posts per week should be chosen appropriately).

Thirdly, bounty participants should have ability to keep in mind that campaigns don't ask them to hit maximum post-quota. They should try to only make posts if necessary. Without constructive ideas, it is better to solely read other posts, collect knowledge, information, ideas, useful sources, all of those ones will help participants have better ideas for their future posts.
Especially, they should pay more attention and more time to read this part:
Quote
Helpful suggestions:

• Firstly, just put some actual thought into your posts. Actually read the thread and the replies already posted. Often-times people will just read the title of the thread and post without fully understanding the topic or issue and make either irrelevant posts or say the same thing that has been said numerous times before.

• If somebody asks a specific question and it gets answered adequately within the first post or two nobody needs to read another ten replies saying the same thing just reworded slightly. If you cannot offer any additional info or clarify/correct something then you probably don't need to post it.

• If you struggle with English it's probably best to try stick to your Local boards. Your English does not need to be anywhere near perfect and you will not be penalised for this but if people generally can't understand what you're saying then it will likely be considered unsubstantial or spam.

• Short replies are not always bad and long ones are not always good. Sometimes all that is required is a simple one word yes or no response, but stretching out an answer just to appear constructive usually has the opposite effect.

Lastly, the forum has its report button.

To conclude, I don't think forum should have unofficial rules on maximum posts per day, per week.
6251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Overview of Altcoin bounties on: August 08, 2019, 01:09:07 AM
Are you going to make some update regarding if the campaign has already ended and the update if they already paid the participants? Your thread is quiet good it is simple hope you will update it day by day because your thread compose less bounties compare to the active bounties now.
Sure. I will update the thread, for Active/ Ongoing bounties; Ended (not paid yet); Finished (Payments sent); and Scam bounties (not pay after bounties end - abruptly or scheduled). I am human, and it is normal to understand the fact that I don't collect all running bounties. I just give you bounties that I saw. So, if you know bounties that have not yet listed here, please leave information about them.
6252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Overview of Altcoin bounties on: August 07, 2019, 03:04:00 PM
I often saw some member of this forum made a thread to give an information about the latest bounty campaign on this forum, but most of them just gone away and never active anymore.

I hope this thread will always give an information about bounty campaign and the latest bounty campaign more over there is some information about payment and a bounty campaign who didn't pay their participant, seems like this is a useful thread and keep up the good work OP.
Thank you. It is my purpose to keep the thread updated over time. Of course, to do this, it requires time, and dedication from myself, and supports from community members. I started this one, and will keep it updated, somehow will help others. So, if someone knows anything new related to altcoin bounties, just share it here. My main purpose is to build up a thread like Mitchell's.
6253  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 07, 2019, 01:27:38 PM
Probably short lived.

My gut tells me we'll end this week below 12000.

The really big pump: next week.
Big pump next week means that altcoins will continuously massacred. I don't think so, hence I predict Bitcoin will be dumped next week.
6254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: August 07, 2019, 01:23:46 PM
All of this has happened before and it will happen again.

4 years ago it was practically the same situation (perhaps even worse). The price was low and mining was barely profitable before the halving. And people were losing their shit panicking that it's all going to hell after the halving.

Guess what happened? Nothing. Well the difficulty did stop increasing, but that's about it...

Serious mining is a long term business. There are really bad months, barely break even months and excellent months. Most miners will just stop replacing broken hardware. The difficulty will probably stay where it is and perhaps even decrease a bit until we get to $200+. Then it's business as usual.
Samet thing happened with bitcoin in 2018. People, investors, miners talked shit about bitcoin, and its mining profits. Most of inexperienced miners and mining farms stopped mining it. Then, what we saw by now. They come back, when price increased dramatically, but if looking back, they lost great opportunities to mine bitcoin at lower difficulty and higher mining rewards with same cost of electricity. Mining in bear market is always a serious bussiness, but it will give miners, loyal miners huge profits.
6255  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 07, 2019, 01:19:35 PM
I want to see 12000 again.

In 1 hour.
You have it, within less than 1 hour. $12060 observed, for now.

6257  Other / Meta / Flag notification to support Flag system and bussiness guys, why not? on: August 06, 2019, 03:23:48 PM
Trust flags, created on 12 June 2019, about two months ago. It is difficult to understand all ideas and operational mechanisms of Flags in early days. Fortunately, over nearly two months, things become clearer for us.

Today, I have idea on Flag Notification. Why not?

In the forum, we have Message Notification that works smooth over years, so I imagine that Flag Notification when created will be able to work smoothly too.

Reasons for Flag Notification:
- I think it is more helpful for good projects. Sometimes, their projects get FUDs, and fake flags that might last for a while before DT members step in and take action by giving oppositions on fake Flags. In the meantime, good projects might suffer FUDs and serious consequences (their investors too) from fake flags. So if developers of good projects or platforms can have rights to receive Flag Notifications, when someone create Flags on them, they will instantly receive information on those Flag Attacks. Then, they can take some necessary actions to solve their cases. It can be helpful for campaign managers too. They likely make mistakes with their post checks, payments, etc. and miss PMs from participants to complain about wrong postchecks, missed payments, etc. Those guys might open Flags on them. Once again, Flag Notifications are helpful.
- At least, Flag Notifications should be sent to them if there are Active Flags on them (with whatever types of Flags).
- If Flag Notification created, forum should give users option to receive Flag notifications or not. It should be an option. People who run their business here, do need it. For the rest, they might ignore that option.

- For bad guys, bad projects, bad platforms, Flag Notifications will operate in the same ways, but I do think they don't really need notifications. Because they do know what they do when they scam others.

Please share your opinion on Flag Notification.
6258  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Help with electrum on: August 06, 2019, 01:44:43 PM
I think it was Loyce who said in a post somewhere that the best time is in the morning hours and especially during weekends when there are less business and institutional transactions.
Did you see it here (Bitcoin Transaction Fees - Everything in one)?
Time zones affect fees
Details below. In general, if you are not hurry, please choose the timezones at which fees usually are low to move your funds.
You can compare the data from this study with the data generated at Johoe's Mempool Statistics page: [url]https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#1,2w[/url]. Here's a random 2 week sample I took from last September (click for full size):
The dates along the bottom are at midnight (00:00) UTC. So you can see from this sample, there is a spike in fees on most days between around 10:00 and 18:00 (when Europe and then later America are awake), at which point they start reducing, and hit a low point around 01:00 - 04:00 UTC. This certainly ties in with the data from OP's study.

It's something I've casually noticed, but never given much though to. But considering it now, I wouldn't have expected such a constant and similar drop given that China has more people than Europe and North America combined.
6259  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Discord & scammers. Check user IDs and user colors of strangers send you PMs on: August 06, 2019, 11:34:12 AM
Appreciated help from ONEnergy, I almost forgot to mentioned about user IDs in Discord groups and unique user IDs. Now, I added this additional details for my thread.

You should notice to differentiate between user IDs and unique user IDs (or also called as  multi-digit ID number)

With this user in Crypto Bridge Discord group, user ID in that group is

What I should do to get this user's unique user ID?
Let's follow these steps:
User Settings > Apperance > Developer Mode (turn it to ON)

Now, let's apply this Developer Mode to check unique user ID of Scott Wehman#6261.
Right click on the username of Scott Wehman > Click on Copy ID

Paste ID copied to see what it is

Yeah, as you can see: Scott Wehman has user ID in Crypto Bridge Discord group is #6261, but has an unique user ID is #409926710658596865.

Read more here: https://support.discordapp.com/hc/en-us/articles/206346498-Where-can-I-find-my-User-Server-Message-ID-

I added this point too (just think of it minutes ago).
- Developers can be scammers too. They can create new accounts, that play as normal users, to scam people in their communities. This can occur with scam projects, because the main purposes of developers is to scam investors, so it is not strange if they create new accounts to act as scammers in their communities, while their main accounts (play as developers) still look like innocent.
6260  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Discord & scammers. Check user IDs and user colors of strangers send you PMs on: August 06, 2019, 09:56:06 AM
Even if the ID can be changed with Nitro I assume you can't use an ID that is used by another member right? In this case an admin of the group.
I don't know what happens when two users have the same name + id in a server, but neither names or IDs are unique globally. I could use ninja#1337 and someone else would also be able to use this combination.

I doubt serious admins of discord groups change their IDs, what benefit could they have from doing this?
Having an cool id (like #666 or #1337).
Therefore, I think a combination between user ID and username will be a good tool to detect scammers. They can change (just assumed they can do it) their usernames, and make fake IDs (same as developers, not sure because I have not tried it yet, just read tips to make fake IDs above); but they can not self-allocate their colors in Discord groups that managed by developers.
Additionally, there are steps to check unique user IDs.
