In my opinion. Barcelona's current downturn is not the players' fault, but rather Xavi's fault for not being able to coach a team as big as Barcelona. Xavi is none other than the Spanish version of Lampard, Gerrard and Rooney. Good players but bad managers. Completely beyond his depth and capabilities.
Even though they have Pedri, Frenkie, Lewa, the best strikers, Araujo and Kounde the best defenders, and Mats the best goalkeeper. And now Xavi blames the players and keeps saying injuries and teenagers. All the players I mentioned above are the best. Just look now at Real Madrid without the main goalkeeper and all the CB players. It doesn't even have a main striker. Playing several games without a single CB, they had several injuries and two months without Vini, Cama, Carvajal and others, now Jude is injured, but Real Madrid can get through it because they have a genius coach. So, Barcelona can bounce back next season after Xavi steps down from Barcelona and Barcelona brings in a new coach.
Xavi was able to do a good job in the previous season but he couldn't in this one.  Trying new methods is a good thing so maybe their next manager can have a much better run with Barcelona. But they will need to pick their manager really carefully. Rijkaard has been one of the rumoured names recently. I remember his times with Barcelona as a manager before. He had a really successful time period. However it was a really long time ago. I'm curious about what he would do now if he is brought to the manager seat. But thinking about his history with the team I think he could be more successful than Xavi. |

I'm happy for Lyon that they got another win. It was a really tough win against Montpellier though. Because the comeback from 0-1 to 2-1 came thanks to really late goals. But what is important is that Lyon managed to get three points in these bad times.  They are already 3 points over the relegation zone now which must be a little relieving. But there are still 17 more games to play in the league. Lyon will need to be as consistent as possible to stay in the Ligue 1. It would be really disappointing to see a team like Lyon relegating so I hope they will manage to stay with the help of their experience too. |

Real Madrid got what they wanted against Leipzig at least. Otherwise I wasn't satisfied with their first half performance. Things were a little better in the second half but only in the attacking line. Because Leipzig also found really significant goal opportunities to score the equalizer. Lunin was really decent with his saves on one hand. In the other game Manchester City did a really great work just as most people expected. I respect Grabara's performance by the way. Despite losing by 3-1 he still made amazing saves. The final score could have been much worse. I think Grabara deserves to play for a better team with his general effort. |

Juventus host Udinese tonight, they have a chance of winning at home but will this coke easy for them today. Losing last weekend wasn't good thing to see.
Very surprisingly Juventus lost to Udinese home as well.  Udinese were also on their lucky day though. Because they had only one shot on target which ended up as a winning goal for them. I don't understand how Juventus can't even score in a game they seemed as the dominant side. Now Inter players are getting closer to celebrating their championship day by day. They completely deserve it as well of course. Because they score a lot of goals in most of their games and giving their best in each one of the games they play. Juventus' low-scoring performances were already likely to be trouble for them. |

Chelsea won by 3-1 against Crystal Palace maybe but this still doesn't change the obvious fact that they are a very unbalanced team. Because even if we take only this game as an example Chelsea were horrible in the first half. If they didn't make a big improvement in the second half I would have never expected them to make that comeback. If Gallagher and Palmer didn't play extra in this game probably another point loss was about to come. Because neither Madueke nor Jackson was good. Barcelona have very valuable players indeed but they wouldn't and shouldn't sell some specific players thinking about their future. Players like Gavi, Pedri should always be kept in the squad for example. This kind of players are Barcelona's future now. Barcelona's most recent contract with them must be already showing that they don't intend to part ways with them anytime.
This team might just make use of some improvements in the defense line. Because they have been horrible this season as they have conceded too many goals compared to the previous season. A team like Barcelona deserve the best players for every position.

Wolfsburg have really been horrible for many weeks. This is technically a big opportunity for Dortmund to continue winning. But honestly it is really not easy to trust Dortmund anyway. Because they have been quite inconsistent during the season you know. They played very badly against Heidenheim a short time ago as well. If this happens against Wolfsburg too I won't be surprised to see Dortmund losing points. I hope to see Sancho in the starting eleven soon by the way. Tomorrow we will watch the match between Crystal Palace and Chelsea at Selhurst Park stadium. Since the start of the match I was sure that Lille would score first and PSG managed to come back afterwards even though without Mbappe it seemed like PSG would definitely win this match. I often say that PSG's dominance in Ligue 1 is so strong that they will face their competitors consistently. on the winning track and as we know that there is no more serious contender to win the title this season and I am sure that PSG will win Ligue 1 without any obstacles.
I think Mbappe was not played in the match against Lille because he was prepared for the UCL match against Real Sociedad where they will compete in the first leg of the round of 16, of course this match is very important for PSG because they have to be able to reach a better stage of the season then at least reach the UCL semi-finals or final, PSG must be able to show their quality in the UCL because in the domestic league they seem difficult to get rid of because their dominance is very strong this season. So PSG's focus may be more on the UCL to be able to qualify for the important round in the UCL. BTW, Nice will not be able to catch up on their points difference with PSG.
Yeah probably that was the reason why Luis Enrique wanted to rest Mbappe against Lille. This is going to be a big advantage for PSG in their Champions League game for sure.  It is good to see them being able to win games without Mbappe as well. But consistency level might not be the same as the time they have Mbappe. This is what PSG will need to get over in case Mbappe leaves. PSG still have a way better squad than all the other teams in the Ligue 1 even without Mbappe. But team play is the most important point. Otherwise you can have the best squad in the world but still have problems on winning bigger achievements. |

Benfica had such a poor run in the Champions League that I can't trust them even in the Europa League much. They had a very poor defending style and couldn't make up for it with their attacking power either. Now here they have a matchup against Toulouse. Actually I can trust Benfica on this one considering the quality difference. But if Benfica face a challenging opponent I don't think they can get past them. At least with the performance level they had in the Champions League they can't do any good here. They aren't playing that bad in the Liga Portugal on one hand. |

More stable? I don't think Bayern Munich are more stable since Tuchel started to manage the team. I haven't seen them this much struggling before for winning the Bundesliga title. This is good to see for me though considering that I want a different team becoming champions. But if Bayern Munich don't manage to win the Bundesliga title I think Tuchel's seat would be under huge threat. Because it has become like a tradition for Bayern Munich to become champions here. They have an 11-title streak at the moment. This is just enormous you know and they wouldn't like to see Leverkusen putting an end to this. |

I don't know what to say... Barcelona should have been able to beat Granada easily just as they did against Alaves. But instead Granada showed a really great performance against which Barcelona weren't able to do better. Granada got ahead two times. Barcelona still have a horrible defending. Even their scoring three goals wasn't enough to do better than getting a draw. Conceding 33 goals in 24 games is such a bad statistics for a team like Barcelona. If they were able to do better in defense so far their placement would have probably been higher and they would have been in the title competition. |

I wasn't expecting Manchester United to be victorious against Aston Villa this time. But they didn't even need a comeback again despite playing away. Hojlund is still on fire. But the most attracting game was West Ham - Arsenal of course.  West Ham must have played their worst game of the season. I was expecting a win for Arsenal like most people but this was a way extra win by 6-0. They really looked like they saved their energy for this game. Now they have the same points with Manchester City however one shouldn't forget Manchester City still have a missing game to play. But at least Arsenal have started to improve their form these days. |

They catched up now to Bayern Munich and it looks like that all gets a bit closer now as Dortmund is on there neck too.
Hoffenheim with that draw is a little bit disappointed as i thought that they win against Cologne.
Guirassy missed some games due to being on international duty. Meanwhile Stuttgart couldn't become very consistent. They must have played 5 games without him or his playing for a short time. There were 3 wins and 2 losses in those games. But as they won their last three league games they are still ahead of Dortmund by three points. But they will hope for Guirassy to be in the starting eleven as well in a short time. He is really like a game changer for Stuttgart this season. They would have more chance for the Champions League with him. |

Theo Hernandez's only goal came in the first half was enough for Milan to win. I would have expected to see more goals from Milan honestly because of their scoring productivity and Napoli's not being very good at defending this season. There is such a great chemistry between Vinicius Junior and Bellingham this season. The Girona game must be one of the best examples for that. I can't even imagine what would happen if Real Madrid bring Mbappe to the team as well this summer. There would be a very deadly trio in the attacking line.  However we don't know yet whether they are serious about the Mbappe transfer for now. Even Mbappe hasn't made up his mind yet. But I hope he would end up with Real Madrid instead of extending with PSG for no reason considering his career in the long run. |
