Of course there would a player to replace Vinicius but the most important thing is whether they can make sure of not feeling the absence of him too much. This doesn't seem very possible in my opinion. He will be missing at least a few games in his injury time period. He can miss at least one of the Champions League group games as well.

Vinicius is one of the most important players with Bellingham for Real Madrid now. Therefore there is no way they aren't feeling his absence much. His individual skills have been the savior for the team many times so far. Bellingham will have a bigger responsibility in his absence.

We are starting the week with a Luton - West Ham game. West Ham are seeming interestingly good this season. They are one of the teams with making the best start in the league now. This is a big improvement for a team that were quite close to the relegation zone in the previous season. They still won the Conference League title of course but you know what I mean.

This game is a great opportunity to maintain the current winning streak. Luton are really weak now as we have seen in both of their games so far. While West Ham are in wonderful form by beating teams like Brighton and Chelsea I expect another win here. Their odds are 1.75 by the way which is very tempting.  Smiley

Al Ittihad continue to increase the amount they are offering to Liverpool. But there is still not a positive answer by Liverpool. They just want to keep him for the season. But next summer they might change their mind on this topic. Because Salah will have one year left on his contract and they might not convince Salah for another extension maybe.

Therefore after this season we can really see him signing for a Saudi Arabia team. It would be really sensible for Liverpool to sell him like that while they can make a lot of money from his transfer fee. Saudi Arabia teams are already eager to splurge on these stars.

Maybe Newcastle came from the last pot to Group F but they can't be underestimated even a bit. Because the progress they have made recently is really big. Maybe they haven't been a regular in the Champions League for many years. But I don't still expect them to have big difficulties in adapting to the tournament.

Even against PSG they can stay solid. In England at least. But PSG are really not very consistent these days. This makes me think about different scenarios for the group but let's see. There are still many weeks until the games start.

It was an unexpected thing to see for me that Newcastle let Liverpool make a comeback and win against themselves despite playing with 10 players. This week must be the time to make up for this bad result. They couldn't start well to the new season either by the way because of having tough games already.

But I feel like this week will be the one they win. Brighton are going to host them. Brighton seemed really problematic against West Ham home last week. Newcastle can manage to take advantage of this situation as well. The odds are close to each other but I think Newcastle will manage to win this game.

Milan are after Mehdi Taremi now and they are working on finishing the deal before the transfer window closes. They have offered 15 million euros in total for him. Taremi is a really decent striker now. His goal contribution to Porto in the previous season was really big. He is still their first choice this season as well.

Therefore Milan might have difficulties in convincing Porto for this transfer maybe. But Porto are also aware that Taremi has only one year left on his contract. This is the last chance to sell him for some money if he doesn't extend his contract. Maybe this would change their mind.

Do Milan need more transfers to the same area after bringing Okafor already? I'm not sure. But I can say that Taremi can do a much better work than Okafor. He is an experienced quality striker. Last season was indeed great for him. Okafor is more like a rookie beside him. However these transfers are increasing the competition level in the same position more than enough. There are so many centre-forwards in the squad right now. I wonder if there is a plan to part ways with at least one of them.

Giroud is still doing wonderful so he would be the last person to be sold there now. Maybe Origi? He hasn't met the expectations so far.

I agree on Origi. He couldn't play much effective so far. While Giroud is in a great form now it seems really difficult for Origi to find a chance in the starting eleven. Okafor would even be Milan's prioritized choice about coming from the subs rather than Origi. Therefore who knows maybe Origi's future isn't bright here.

As long as their target is a striker like Taremi I think they should go for him anyway. When Giroud is out-of-form Taremi can be a trusted man in the same position. He is also a great scorer now.

The horrible run by Sevilla continues. This time they are playing an away game against Atletico Madrid. Most probably they will lose once again. I really wonder what the reason behind this bad performance is now. Because they actually made a good improvement with Mendilibar in the second part of the season.

They won even the Europa League title I mean. Will we continue to see another similar scenario this season? They didn't start to the previous season well either. However they need to be more competitive in the La Liga. I don't think the board are happy with their effort here.
1568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 31, 2023, 08:36:03 AM
Bayern Munich might seem to have a comfortable game this week but they should still be very careful. Because Gladbach have been a challenging opponent for them in the recent years. In their last 5 head-to-head games all Gladbach didn't lose to them and won 4 of those games at the same time. This should be enough to help Bayern Munich be more aware this time.

Gladbach couldn't make a good start to the season. But we never know how good they can play in this big game. They would try to benefit from their psychological superiority to Bayern Munich here. But I think this time Bayern Munich will put an end to this bad streak against them with the help of Kane.

Chelsea are thinking about bringing back Felix according to rumours. He was a loanee there the last time for one season. But I can't say that he was able to adapt completely yet. But he was promising anyway. I think that he deserves a second chance in the Premier League. Besides Chelsea would make use of an extra decent striker now.

Liverpool are also rumoured with Felix actually. It depends on Salah to leave for Saudi Arabia though. If this happens Liverpool can also intervene the deal. Felix's priority is Barcelona and it will be other European teams if possible. If none of them happens then Saudi Arabia will be his new target most probably.

PSV were incredible today. The second half was just totally different. I was waiting to see a close score at the end honestly. Because a similar scenario was happening to the previous season. Once again the first leg in Rangers' home ended up with a 2-2 draw. I thought the whole matchup would end very close.

However PSV were completely different in the second half today. They increased their tempo a lot and scored 4 more goals. A big destruction by 5-1 must be the best way to revenge on the previous season as well. But most importantly the fans must be really happy now.

It looks like Tottenham can get another win this week. Because technically their next game is a comfortable one for them. Burnley are in a really bad condition now. They couldn't collect any points yet and their defense is horrible. Tottenham on the other hand continue to surprise people despite selling Kane.

Tottenham really impressed people by what they did to Manchester United. As long as they maintain their focus I don't expect a surprising result against Burnley either. I don't know how they can maintain a good form but their odds of 1.85 for the win is very favourable to bet on.
1572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 30, 2023, 08:23:23 AM
The transfer window is closing soon and it doesn't look like Bayern Munich and Dortmund are after a sensational transfer anymore. Bayern Munich have already made it with Kane though. They don't need another big signing and they wouldn't like to spend that much money once again for now either.

Dortmund wouldn't think about making a similar transfer of course. But they were always looking for young big talents in summers. But now they haven't done that. Bellingham has left the team so I thought that they would definitely find another such player.
Bayern need an experienced goalkeeper, Ulreich can play well with most Bundesliga teams, but a stronger opponent will take advantage of their weakness in the last line of defense. Neuer has already broken into training with the main group of players today, so we may soon see him return to the game. Dortmund know how to educate talented players, they have proved this more than once, perhaps they already have those in the roster who can become new stars in the near future.

I was expecting de Gea to come but they didn't even make an offer to him. Instead they went for a promising goalkeeper like Daniel Peretz. He is praised quite much but I still have doubts about his performance in the short-term. Because Bayern Munich are targeting big this season especially after bringing Kane.

They need to have a reliable goalkeeper at the same time to be less worried about conceding unnecessary amount of goals. I hope Perez proves me wrong and starts to impress earlier than I think. He was a really cheap signing which can turn into a very profitable one depending on his effort.
1573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: August 30, 2023, 08:18:13 AM
The winning streak should be maintained by Real Madrid by this week as well. Because it is a home game against Getafe and I give no chance to them about stealing a point here. They are the only team when it comes to collecting full points in all games so far. I think they will maintain this streak for at least two more games.

Right after that there is an away game against Atletico Madrid which could be tricky. Because Atletico Madrid have also made a great start. Maybe they were bad against Betis but the compensation for that performance was incredible. They crushed Vallecano by 7-0 you know. Hopefully they can also stay in the title rivalry for a long time.

I assume the biggest game of the week is Arsenal - Manchester United. Arsenal are quite highly favoured to win this game first of all. Actually there is only one point between these teams now. But I like Arsenal's game more than Manchester United anyway now. Manchester United are still dealing with some big issues with defending.

Big games can still be unpredictable of course. But I don't give the Red Devils much chance to win anyway. We have all seen how they played against Tottenham away. I expect them to struggle in this game as well. Arsenal can win this by one goal in my opinion.

Atletico Madrid have been comfortable in away games against Vallecano in the recent years. I think we can see a similar thing happening in this game as well. Their performance against Betis was really poor you know. They need to make up for that by making a good improvement and getting a win here. But they shouldn't underestimate their opponent at the same time.

Because Vallecano made even a better start than them by 2 away wins. They can motivate themselves to resist strongly in this game. If Atletico Madrid get ahead early it would be a big advantage. Breaking the defense of such smaller teams early helps a lot to find bigger spaces later on.

Nantes - Monaco was a quite interesting game. I mean the statistics of the game and the final score are just really unrelated.  Grin  Nantes have 3 shots in total in the whole game and all of them ended up with goals. In the meantime Monaco were just dominating in nearly every kind of statistics by far.

Still they couldn't beat Nantes and barely saved one point by 3-3. It was even a comeback from 3-1 I mean. This must be one of the luckiest games in Nantes' history. Monaco are still the best starting team to the new season. It is like they are back in their old days for now. But for the rest of the season it is too early to talk about.
1579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 28, 2023, 03:45:31 PM
Manchester City are the only team with 9 points in 3 games now. They have made a really solid start to the season and Haaland also continues as always. He missed a penalty against Sheffield United maybe but this was still not a hindrance for him to score a goal in the same game. A Manchester City supporter entered the pitch to celebrate the goal with him as well which was an interesting moment.  Grin

As usual they are again the biggest title contender for the Premier League. I'm just wondering whether we would see a different team in top 4 again. Newcastle were an example for that in the previous season. They have had an unlucky fixture so far by the way. They got losses against Manchester City and Liverpool consecutively.

Newcastle is having a bit of a hard time and I think this loss against a Liverpool team that was only with 10 men for so long could really tear them down quite a bit. Tottenham is interesting because it was expected that they are much worse off without Harry Kane, but so far they did a goob job in not letting that have a negative impact on them.

But I would still say that Manchester City is far away from their best and De Bruyne is missing badly. But they have been more efficient than the others and that earns them the lead for now.

I agree with your opinion on Tottenham's situation absolutely. They are really doing much better than the expected for now. Honestly they weren't able to become successful in Kane's presence. He was showing an amazing performance but still they weren't able to win any titles. They even finished the previous season at the 8th position despite Kane's scoring 30 goals.

Therefore I thought that nothing would change even if they send Kane from the team this summer. For now they are even doing better but it isn't related to Kane of course. The team effort seems better which should have been like this a long time ago.

Roma still want Romelu Lukaku but not on a permanent deal. They want him on loan instead. The reason must be Abraham's being about to return in January. Abraham is still a much better option for them normally. But they would make use of a good replacement for him in his absence to due to injury.

Lukaku can be considered as such candidate for the position. He is already looking forward to leaving the team and Chelsea are no different as well. But Chelsea lean towards a permanent deal rather than a loan one. Therefore I don't know whether they can agree terms.
