I don't think this was as much of how well Denver played to how awful the Warriors were in the 4th quarter.  They ended the game on a 25-4 run.  Curry was 1-5 with a monster turnover at the end of the game.  Why in the world would he cross court pass to Wiggins behind the 3 when he had cp3 at the top of the key who shoots way better from 3 than Wiggins.  Just a dumb play almost karma that guided jokers heave in.  Up 18 with less than 7 minutes to go, ypu really have to try hard to lose the game.  This might be one of the early daggers in the Warriors this season.  I wouldn't be surprised if they are sellers at the trade deadline.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero (XMR) and other privacy coins at risk of delisting from Binance on: January 04, 2024, 09:22:42 PM
Just another exchange who cares.  I mean I know the access that those platforms give these coins but the wave of CEX will come to an end.  With enough "hacks" people will start to learn these exchanges aren't any good no matter how big they are.  I can see a wave of large DEX's coming together and be the next movement in crypto.  It's around but not as prevalent as it should be.  They need to get more user friendly and then most people will abandon those exchanges.
663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 04, 2024, 09:19:36 PM
They need to give more focus on their improvement and continue to look for another opportunity to fix their lineups because this is not how it should end for Lebron when he wanted to be recognized as the GOAT in the NBA.

Kobe didn't end well his remaining seasons in the NBA but he was still recognized as one of the best. And I don't think Lebron is better than Kobe, Kobe wasn't even declared as GOAT as there's only one who is, and that is MJ.
Oohhh.. That's going to be another long debate. Cheesy
Well, for me they are GOAT of their own eras. MJ on his time, Kobe on his own, and so do Lebron James. I think that's the safest and most shortened version to avoid more discussions about it. For me though, it's MJ as the best of all these three that I mentioned.

Did anyone watch the game between the Utah Jazz and the Detroit Pistons? It's a battle of offense. Cheesy The score went to a total of 302 points and ended in overtime. Sure, there's an overtime that may have caused the high points but their end-of-regulation score was 276 which is still high. Jazz has Clarkson with 36 points and Markkanen with 31 points. The Pistons have Bogdanovic with 36 points and Cunningham with 31. The regulation was the fun one. I though the Jazz ended it with the Markkanen three-pointer and the Pistons doesn't have a timeout but Alec Burks, damn, a buzzer-beater to tie the game.
In the end, the Jazz still won it.

So part of it mate, it was really a back and forth game between the two and it's unpredictable as who is going to win that game, and it's raining 3 point shot. But then that shot of Alec Burks forcing the OT to give hope to the Pistons that they can manage a win again.

But then again, the Jazz will have to close it out in OT, but if you have bet on the over on this match, you will be lucky to see that your bet has hit already entering the 4th quarter. Hard to compare the GOAT, it's a discussion that has been going on and even Michael himself has his own take about it.

I had the other side.  I had an in game bet of under 273.5. That Alec Burks 29 footer but a nail in the under.  Was a crazy game.  Enjoyed it either way and then once I lost was rooting on Detroit.  Burks coming from the Knicks I always root for anyway, but dude cost me money Sad  lol.  I've watched Detroit play enough to know they shouldn't be losing all these games.  They just need one piece that can get them through the end of game situations and get some fight into them.  They need a defensive presence on that team.
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which currency do you prefer to use for BTC/LTC/ETH transactions? on: January 04, 2024, 08:39:06 PM
Using Litecoin to move crypto around is never a bad idea.  Keep crypto in bitcoin than shift to litecoin when ypu want to move crypto and back into bitcoin.  2 problems with that is spread rate between the 2.  And the second and even more important is every move into another currency drives a taxable event at least in the US.  I'd keep some liquid in litecoin but the downward risk is too great to keep too much in LTC.
665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 04, 2024, 08:02:45 PM
Only 2 games on today but they’re both televised on TNT (and HBO Max I’ve recently learned). Last time the Spurs faced the Bucks Wemby was out so this should be an interesting matchup to watch as Wemby tries to stop Giannis. The Second game between the Warriors and the Nuggets should be a good matchup also, but I’m expecting Denver to win.

Yeah I'm looming forward to it too.  I would imagine if the Bucks get out to a sizable lead which they very well can do, then you won't see much of giannis in the second half.  Back to back road games I'm sure he could use a breather.  All dependent on score though.  Either way I will be tuning in to watch giannis terrorize the paint.  And in the other game it almost seems like a trap game.  All signs point towards Denver dominating this game with gs reeling but I've featured to never bet against steph in prime time.  The lights do something to him.  Should be a good one on his home court.  I'm taking the Bucks-9 and a stab at the GS money line with the odds

Too many NBA games tonight (12 games). Can you guys post your pick for night games. Share the one you think is a sure win. Just want to tail on it. Can't decide which team to pick.

I can't decide which team I will pick. Today's NBA game is unpredictable, just like what happened to the Kings vs. Hornets last night. I can't imagine how the Kings lost to the Hornets with their healthy team and home court advantage. 🤦

That's basketball, or any pro sports you just never know.  With that being said I'm taking the Knicks-9 tonight.  Knicks playing a depleted bulls team who is playing the second game of a back to back.  I don't know what the under is but I think I'm gonna hit the under as well.  The other bet I'm looking at is pacers/bucks over 257.  These 2 teams run and gun when they play each other I expect a high scoring game here.

Hit on all 3.  Bulls looked decent in the first half but I think being on a second night of a back to back killed them in the second.  The Bucks and Pacers scoring machine did not disappoint.  Crazy because 10 years ago I don't think you'd ever see an over under as high as 250 let alone bet the over confidently.  Defenses are terrible nowadays.

No joke I really hope that pk isn't a riddle like his other stuff.  The ultimate R Roullete game.
668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have we overlooked the many potentials of altcoins? on: January 03, 2024, 08:46:11 PM
A lot of times we have been down so much away from the role altcoins play in the cryptocurrency industry,  because there is no doubt the fact that many times,  we have come face to face with issues and challenges that make us to look for an alternatives,  and which is the reason for altcoins creations already,  such as fees,  congestion and speeds.

These have been most of the challenges that we face in the cryptocurrency industry with majority of the time our preferred coin may face network issues and we need to look for alternatives,  this has made it very important for us to discuss the best possible means to make use of altcoins as alternatives when there be network crisis.

What are the best coins to use at a time when there is network congestion in the main meme pool?

Using litecoin to move bitcoin is a tried and true way to move in and out of positions rather cheaply.  The problem that exist at least for US customers is that every trade triggers a taxable event.  So when you move from bitcoin into litecoin and then to and exchange into another coin you've essentially doubled your taxable responsibilities.  As long as you can track everything cleanly it's not that bad but tax laws make it annoying to do so.
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFTs in the Real World on: January 03, 2024, 08:43:31 PM

NFTs have taken the digital world by storm. How do you envision non-fungible tokens impacting industries beyond art and gaming? Share your wildest NFT use-case scenarios!

That's the question right, are they going to be used in real life.  One way I can see them being used is in sporting or entertainment events where having specific nfts will get you unique access to where other ticket holders can not access.  Like a private club access.   Then there is timing certain real world asset ownership to them.  Proof of ownership will be conveyed with a corresponding nft.
670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How possible is it to win lottery 14 times using mathematics calculations on: January 03, 2024, 08:40:42 PM

Navigating through articles online got me attracted to a catchy caption yet disturbing (the link posted below).
I am  a stern believer that gambling. Which I believe that lottery is, is purely a game of luck rather than skills or expertise.
How this managed to happen repeatedly for 14 times means it's not just luck, something else must have happened.

https://www.unilad.com/news/mathematician-won-lottery-14-times-317063-20231230

Leave your opinion if you think it's 100% luck to be  winner or there is a particular skill needed.

Lottery is complete luck.  There are odds involved but you can skew the odds in your favor since lotteries are random every single time.  Past trends does not mean it will continue.  Any trend is a mere coincidence and should not be used as a forecast model.  Now if the lottery is rigged or not completely random that's another thing but I don't think that's what we are talking about here.
671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 03, 2024, 08:23:25 PM
Ball being traded doesn't seem that likely to me, who would want to get a player who hasn't played for 2 years? I mean you need to really find someone who would accept him in exchange for getting some picks as well, because you can't just get rid of that contract. Nobody would want him directly, he has been injured for too long, and there is a possibility that he may never play again.

What he has was basically what Brandon Roy had, and because of the age of those times, Brandon Roy had to retire early, he couldn't continue to play, Lonzo has the better medicine, because it is 10+ years later and we are not at that point anymore, but that doesn't mean that we are going to end up with Lonzo suddenly being as good as he used to be. I think Lavine is the only sensible one, Lakers are interested, and they are trying to sell the farm all over again, they will try to trade away all they have, so they could have a super team of Lavine, Lebron and AD, all other players are on the table.

Agreed he basically is untradable at this point.  It's a shame because he was a nice point guard and a key piece to what Chicago was building.  They are cursed with point guards and knees.  You bring up Brandon Roy and most casuals won't recognize the name but dude was getting ready to be a superstar.  Seems like more and more knees have destroyed careers more than in the past I wonder if it's because of the agility and insane pace these guys play at.  Another one who would have been great is Shaun Livingston.

Wow that's kind of crazy even in crypto lol.  Honestly I haven't heard from this coin in years I just assumed it was just another dead altcoin in the graveyard.  In terms of what you can do, nothing really except to abandon the coin and sell off everything you have.  Let them three have an exclusive party and pass the coins around to themselves.  Wish I could short this coin now Smiley

Congrats on the win.  That final was one of the biggest wins I've ever seen in a final.  Your squad was dominant lol.  Can't wait until next year we still running this league back next year right?  I like 12 teams vs 10 team it makes it much more difficult to keep a solid squad together.  I'm in if we are.

I'd much rather lose by 100 than by .1 and the way my team fell apart the last few weeks its not even remotely a surprise to me.

*would have been fun to have a close one but I just couldn't field a team.

Agreed nothing worse than a heartbreaking finals loss.  Injuries definitely stacked up this year on the top picks.  Mortz's squad was a monster by the end of the year.  I've been at or near the bottom of the league it seems every year  so I need next year to be my revenge tour.  Drafting 12 tight ends so none of you can field a decent TE!  New angle.
675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 02, 2024, 11:20:01 PM

Sga is a great young player but embid literally wins games all on his own.  Not just on offense but defense too.  Take embid off that Philly team and they are one of the worst in the league, keep him on and they can contend for a championship.  Putting down embid and jokic in co.parison to sga is a weird angle they are all great.

We can not disagree that 3 Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Joel Embiid, and Nikola Jokic were great players in this time period but we can not compare all three that they have the same greatness as everyone knows that each and everyone has their own uniqueness, and each players have their style technique and position when playing basketball, for sure they will draw from that experience and for unlike Joel Embiib and Nikola Jokic Shai Gilgious-Alexander is still a growing athlete,

Nothing betrayal happen to Dray and its pure business matter since he also need to understand that what he do recently can really affect his position on GSW. And since he became a toxic member on the roster for always having a controversy then he should understand that decision like this is likely to happen. Also it make sense to GSW to have good changes and Dray and Wiggins will be a good piece for them to trade then get a good return since I think they still have a good trading value.

GSW is in bad shape so I guess there's something roster adjustment will happen to them since for sure they don't like to be on bad position which they are in trouble to get a slot on playoffs.

Even though Draymond Green was a core foundation for the Golden State Warriors he could be a potential trade in this upcoming trade window, but think about it do you think there are teams that needed the service of Draymond Green in his 33 years of age for sure Draymond Green was only useful in the Warrior Core and the Warriors is a different beast when Draymond is around, but because of the new young players of the Warriors with Trayce Jackson-Davis and Brandin Podziemski the Warriors had a new line of both offense and defense although Green Defense is essential for sure but if he is acting like that then I think the Warriors need to take a hard decision,

Obviously it's not Davis, but something deep that it's hard to understand because after winning the IST, they suddenly become a garbage team. Of course there is rumor of trade of some players, but still though, they should have the momentum after winning.

But they turn into a champion into a mediocre team in an instant. For me it should be Darvin Ham's responsibility, he is the coach after all and it seems that he is not doing his job currently. Make adjustments, but he can't find the right combination.

In my opinion, the Los Angeles Lakers are not deep enough, and if something like getting injured, LeBron James and Anthony Davis are currently happening then they don't have a backup for that this is not really something surprising as the Laker's Austin Reaves is not enough D'Angelo Russell, Rui Hachimura, and Cam Reddish is not consistent enough for the Lakers, I really don't know if they are consistent in training but for sure they are not enough deep for the Lakers,

I never said all 3 were great "exactly alike".  The point was sga is better than embid and jokic and while that might be true in 3-5 years right now both embid and jokic are just on another level.  That's not hate towards sga we are talking the last 2 mvps which were rightly won.  Right now today I don't know the odds but I'd have to say sga isn't in top 5 for mvp at this point, if we are being honest sga can't touch what Luca does.  I'd even go as far as saying haliburton is higher on that board than sga.
676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do you think the altcoin bull run will begin in 2024? on: January 01, 2024, 10:43:17 PM
I'm obviously somebody who believes trading in altcoins is the right way to maximize profits. Now that we're getting close to a new Bitcoin bull cycle, I just wanted to know how soon do you think altcoins will take flight? Are you following the Altcoin Season Index?

All you have to do is wait for bitcoin to run then everything else (altcoins) will start to run.  Trading altcoins is not the best way to maximize profits though.  Most people end up losing more than they make trading altcoins.  I'd say very few do it successfully at a high rate.  Either way I think we are going to see alts surge here shortly.
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to check if an altcoin is a scam on: January 01, 2024, 10:40:46 PM

Not all crypto projects are created equal, identifying which crypto token is a scam, and which memecoin is legit. How do you know which projects are safe to step into, and which projects are doomed to fall flat some months from now. The blockchain is awash with promises of quick money and easy rides. But it pays to know if the token you’re holding is part of an elaborate scam to separate you from your hard-earned cash. There are eight straightforward ways of carrying out your due diligence to avoid fraudsters

1. Start from the very basics by
a. Check for social media red flag
b.Check for the token’s address in a Google search

2. Check code is verified on Etherscan

3. Check the Etherscan comments section

4. Check the DappRadar blacklists

5. Check the token details in a token explorer
If you cannot find the token on CoinGecko or DappRadar’s Token Ranking (or a similar coin price tracker), the token is probably a scam. If it is on the token explorer and you see warning notifications like this, proceed with caution

6. Check how many exchanges host the token
If the token is only traded on a couple of decentralized exchanges (DEX), it is almost certainly a scam. Listing on a centralized exchange comes with KYC and additional trust, and the bigger the exchange the better the reputation of a listed token.

7. Check the amount of liquidity in a token’s balance pool
Before you invest in a token, you may want to check general demand and the availability of liquidity. It is very easy to check a token’s liquidity on a platform like Uniswap V2 or other decentralized exchanges.

8. Check third party analysis tools
Smell Test – this does an automated audit of the token. The lower its score out of 100, the more likely the token is a scam.
Reference:- https://dappradar.com/blog/8-ways-to-check-if-its-a-token-scam

All your point you raise here are very valid, but for me what I mostly watched out for is if it's been listed on binance or bybit, if it's not been listed on any of it, I stay off that coin to avoid stories.

Waiting to see if it's listed by one of those 2 exchanges means literally nothing in terms of being legit or a scam.  A project and look legit in any fashion but underneath it they are just waiting to scam everyone.  I'd say looking at exchange listing to verify if a project is legit is probably one of the worstrways to determine that.

679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your New Year's resolution? on: January 01, 2024, 09:44:56 PM
Gambling has been a part of our lives if you are an active gambler, and as this year is about to end, I would like to know your New Year's resolution.

Please share it with us here, and please don't make your new years resolution like you will not gamble again, that's against the rule of a gambler.

Also, I like to greet you all, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Funny this thread popped up because one of my resolutions is to continue to just gamble for entertainment.  It's worked out so far in terms of just casually gambling and finding it as a form of entertainment.  My resolution is to just keep it that way and not get sucked into the dark side of gambling.
680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayweather vs Pacquiao II on: January 01, 2024, 09:43:08 PM
Just recently reported that Pacman announce his fight with Mayweather this year.

For the information of everyone, this is just an exhibition fight, and I think it will be after his fight with Buakaw which will happen in April 2020.

I believe, this is the biggest exhibition match and could potentially break another PPV record.
Professional sports are increasingly turning into a soap opera: former champions either leave the big sport, then return again for a portion of money exhibition fights similar to show business. The best years of these guys are already behind them and they have to make money as best they can, because the hype around them thanks to their past achievements still persists.

There was a lot of hype around their last fight, but that fight was very far from the best that happened on the world boxing stage. This fight will probably be the same - a lot of noise, but a boring and uninteresting fight. At a time when Pacquiao could demonstrate the highest level of boxing, Mayweather avoided it in every possible way. Mayweather will win again, you'll see.

Agreed as an avid boxing fan this is sad these exhibition matches.  Just retire and be done with your boxing career.  It's a bad look when you are well past your prime and get back into the ring.  It's not like either of them 2 need the money as well.  No clue what angle they are trying for here.  Was a fan of Floyd's boxing skills and want to remember him when he was good not old man exhibition floyd.
