681  Economy / Speculation / Re: My analogy towards breaking the silence of Binance and the rumours around crypto on: November 23, 2023, 08:30:10 PM
And to say that CZ was a criminal, and Binance got punished for it, without checking what the both sides were saying is a wrong start to all of this.

CZ may or may not be wrong, but we do not have all the data to back that, what if USA just blackmailed Binance to fire CZ with this fine? I mean have we seen the wire transfer Binance made in tune of 4.3 billion dollars to SEC? We have not, so maybe it is "either pay us 4.3 billion, or fire CZ from the top" type of situation? It could very well be something like that, maybe CZ was innocent but attacked by the government because he did not follow their orders? We are certain that both of those things are possible and to say that Binance is risky just because of that starts seeming fair as of now.
682  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What’s your portfolio building strategy for crypto? on: November 23, 2023, 08:08:09 PM
Not really something huge, I earn money, and I try to save some aside and buy coins, and I keep a percentage stable as much as I possibly could. Not able to do it lately, unfortunately life has thrown some terrible news at all times to me, and it is a sad moment in my life but sometimes you have to remember that sad times are there to make sure you are appreciating the good times.

However, if we go back to portfolio stuff, I keep 50 of my money in btc, and 20% on eth and 20% on bnb type of deal, or it could change but not a lot, like sometimes 60 in btc and 20% in eth and 10% in bnb, like right now not because I sold anything but price went lower. So if I get new money, I buy something and make it stay around there, I do not buy each of them every time, I buy one there and one here and keep it stable at these rates, the rest goes to shitty stuff.
683  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bittrex shutting down: What can exchange do differently to avert this trend. on: November 23, 2023, 07:18:59 PM
The idea that centralized exchange is bad because the yare being attacked right now is not really a smart idea. I mean just because Binance got a fine, and bittrex is shutting down, doesn't mean that centralized is the bad idea. I mean I can show you a million DEX that got hacked and all the money was emptied from the liquidity providers as well, there are bots that does automatic trading to ruin everyone there. So all in all, I can easily say that CEX is still better, just because sometimes these things happens, doesn't mean it's bad.

Moreover, not like they are stealing your money, if you have money in them then withdraw it, that's allowed, which means that there is nothing wrong with the exchange at the moment and you can still continue to use them. I believe that we are looking at something that's going to be quite fine, it's just a business that looked at the profits and loses and they realized that it is not worth it and decided to close shop that's it.
684  Economy / Economics / Re: How come both the "gas" and "fee" prices shoot up without ETH and BTC move? on: November 23, 2023, 06:41:22 PM
The issue is that the transaction numbers increase a ton, and we need to realize that we can't really have it both ways, we can't have a big bull run where the price goes above 70k+ and at the same time keep the transaction quick and cheap. That doesn't exist, or at least it doesn't exists right now, and we need to keep thinking about that.

I know that it is not going to be easy at all, and I know that we are going to end up with something that would be difficult to handle, but we need to arrange something that has to be a bit different. I get that it is not going to be all that incredible, and yes it is not going to be a bigger deal, I hope that it gets to a point where we could just find a way to have bigger blocks, which means that more and more transactions could fit into it, even smaller ones, and make it quick. That would be a good situation, and should be a good return on our investment because we are spending a lot less in that situation as well.
685  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto exchange Binance punishes Russians for the war in Ukraine on: November 23, 2023, 05:48:01 PM
Honestly, I am feeling like there is going to be some sort of situation where they are basically handling it in a way that they are going to be fine, not that it is going to be that easy but they are having a battle with USA right now via SEC which means that we are talking about a situation where USA could make them do whatever they want them to do, and Binance will have to follow. Think about it, they are punished 4.3 billion dollars right now by the SEC and CZ is gone, if USA is this strong about it, then I have to say that it is going to be quite a big deal for them, and they should do something that will benefit them on the long run.

I believe that we are going to end up being a lot better one way or another, it should be the case and should be their benefit. Hopefully they could get better, and I get that it may look like it is not that easy, but at the end of the day we are talking about something that is possible for the reason why they are doing this.
686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We should start looking into Altcoins on: November 23, 2023, 05:20:50 PM
I can't talk about specific coins or tokens because it may feel like that could be not that right for many people, but at the same time I feel like we are talking about something that will end up with a huge trouble on the long run if we do not look into certain projects. I think I can say that at this current moment finding the right one is the hardest part, I agree that if you invest into anything in the market, you have a good chance of either making money, or putting your money into something wrong.

It is true that some altcoins will go super high, and that investment is important and you should be making some money and that's fine, but that doesn't change the fact that we can't make money from it, we can still do it, we just need to be careful about it as much as we possibly could. That should be important part of the situation and could maybe make a profit if we are smart about it. So altcoins are fine to invest, but which ones are not known at the moment.
687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges being attacked in the verge of BTC ETF on: November 23, 2023, 04:49:00 PM
I really do not think that this has anything to do with that, yes Blackrock is rich enough to make this work and they can definitely pay the right people to make this happen, but I also believe that they do not really care about it neither. Remember, we are talking about a company that deals with rich people, they are not going to take 100 bucks from someone who lives in a far away nation, so exchanges still have their part, and the only people these ETF people really want to get is the ones that invest millions and millions into it, maybe even over a billion dollars.

This is why they do not really need to do this, I understand they may do this if they want to, but they do not have to do this and that's important. I believe that it is going to be quite important to make it work, otherwise if we keep focusing too much on what went wrong and who did that and what we should be looking for etc etc, we will miss what's happening right in front of our eyes.
688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: coin memes don't have a project? Is it worth buying for the long term? on: November 23, 2023, 04:21:10 PM
The trouble is that there are some situations we should be careful about it because it should be something that needs to be a careful thing. I believe that we are not going to end up with something that has to be careful in the end. We need to be careful about it, that has to be something that we need to take care of and if people keep on investing into stuff where they will just lose their money to the creators and devs, then that's not going to benefit crypto world.

I mean what happens is that people create some fake meme stuff on launchpads and investors put up millions, and devs just steal those millions and leave, individually that's bad, but at the same time we are talking about something that doesn't really just hurt them, it hurts us too.
689  Economy / Economics / Re: "I saw my salary on a bottle of perfume today" on: November 23, 2023, 05:14:45 AM
The idea of someone using something as expensive as that is not that it's a better product, might be or may not be we do not really know, some of them are and some of them are not. I mean famously Rolex had some terrible watch series as well, which caused a lot of trouble, but they had some of the best ones too, if you got one of the bad series then you should be feeling like you got screwed.

However, what I am talking about here is that the idea is to spend money on things that others can't, so if you get a perfume that is more than someone else's salary, the idea is not to smell nice, the idea is to smell, so that others would ask it, and you can say that it's the expensive one. Like your phone has the time, it's much easier than a watch, or you could get a simple watch, if the aim is to tell time, but if you are getting a 100k watch, then the aim is to tell others "I have money", that's the whole point, and you can only do that with expensive stuff.
690  Economy / Economics / Re: What has really been behind china's economy on: November 23, 2023, 04:42:45 AM
They have used slave labor conditions to build stuff for other nations and make cheap products and get all the manufacturing, once again (not first in their history) ignoring all the damage they are doing to their own citizens and to the world (pollution) and they just cared about their power, which allowed them to have enough money to just fund other nations and get them under their control.

Do you think a nation that has 30%+ of their gdp indebted to China would end up with going against China? They would have two reasons not to, first of all they are getting money from them so why would they stop, secondly if China comes asking for their money back, it would be very hard to say no, it would be dangerous for sure.
691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't buy altcoins because they are top altcoins on: November 23, 2023, 04:22:10 AM
^I do believe that bitcoin is the king, I do like it and that's why most of my money is in bitcoin. That doesn't mean I do not like taking risks, I do invest into ETH and BNB and LTC as well, those three are the majority I have in alts, I do not have much other else, some chump change in here and there with some tokens but the total of all of them must be under 100 dollars to be fair, so nothing major.

Most of the money is in bitcoin and the other three coins, that's 99% of my portfolio, and 50%+ of it is in bitcoin so even the other alts are not that much. I realize that bitcoin is the best one and I invest accordingly, but I also take my time to learn what's going on and what I can do about it and how I can get it to improve in the end. There are a lot of people who do not understand how they should approach it, they think that sticking with just bitcoin is good enough, or going with crazy coins would be more profitable, I believe I am the middle ground and more reasonable.
692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever been a gambling addict? on: November 22, 2023, 07:24:03 PM
At one point in my life that was true, I did felt like an addict, to be fair if I was a true addict I wouldn2t be so easily able to stop, but the period itself was risky. People should realize that when it is getting out of hand financially and starting to hurt you, that's when you know that it is doing terrible and you should stop. I was incapable of stopping before anything bad happens, I ruined my finances for nearly 6 months with a terrible loss, and then I stopped, at least I was capable of stopping there, some people continue even after that, but I have never gambled like that ever again.

I do gamble even to this day, but never gamble that way so it doesn't hurt me. Knowing when to stop and to limit yourself and not hurting your finances is the key, there is nothing wrong with gambling at all, you can definitely keep gambling and you can definitely keep doing better, as long as you are doing fine, there is nothing wrong with this at all.
693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2023/24 Season on: November 21, 2023, 06:50:50 PM
Goal difference is definitely important, for a "just in case" type of situation, but that doesn't mean that they need to end up with anything that would be specially same points at the end of the season, that is unlikely. I mean how many times have we seen that the championship came down to the points being same? I have watched football for a long time and it is a very  very rare thing to happen, I am sure that there will be points difference between them without a doubt. The best thing they could do regarding this situation right now would be making sure that they are keeping the depth alive.

Because the league is long, and they are in Europe too, and that means depth plays a big role for both teams, with their depth not being that great, both teams lost points as soon as some of their players injured. Galatasaray kept playing injured players due to lack of depth, and fenerbahce didn't and they both lost points during that period, hence why depth is very important for a season.
694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 19, 2023, 07:45:11 PM
Once again, OKC managed to beat Warriors Klay played a bit better, not a lot, 16 points all together in 36 minutes doesn't look like he took the lead at all but at least this time Wiggins scored 31 points which was good enough to make them go do better, Curry played as well this time, and he played 40 minutes, nearly all game and still scored just 25.

With all these three together they should have won the game but they still lost at overtime, to be fair this doesn't mean Draymond is there for nothing, he sucks as a player individually and I would not pay even the veteran minimum to him if I was any other team, BUT when it comes to Warriors, his leadership is the only reason he is still getting the big bucks to be fair. Look at the team in terrible condition without him, they are just doing whatever they want, nobody is talking and doing anything, they are much more talented than Draymond, but they are not a team without him which causes trouble.
695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Refer to my previous topic: "Investing plan" on: November 19, 2023, 05:49:23 AM
I do believe that people who like to do long term investments plans for bitcoin are smart people. You may not get to become rich overnight with bitcoin, but if you keep buying and keep holding then you are going to end up doing a lot better.

I understand that it may not be too simple, but we need to end up realizing that we are going to profit from it one way or another. Long term investment is very important, and doing it with something that is sturdy and strong is even more important. Back in the day people did that with gold, because we know that gold will be profitable and that means we are going to end up with a lot worse, and I believe that we should end up wanting something bigger, it will certainly help you, these days bitcoin is better than gold, so we prefer that.
696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 18, 2023, 02:14:46 PM
I do believe that it was a bit harsh to give Everton that much penalty, a 10 point reduction for a team that size usually means relegation, and that means you basically render their season gone all season long. What are they end up playing for this whole season long now?

I mean sure they could play to stay in the league and that's what they will officially be doing and not like that would be impossible, there is definitely a chance for them to stay, but if they do end up losing out and relegate, all due to this 10 points which they could have stayed in the league if it weren't for that, then the whole season was for nothing. I am not saying do not punish teams that breaks the rules, but at least make it sensible, like do not allow them to transfer next season, or just give them a financial penalty, that would make a lot more sense. I understand that it may look like there is a good chance that they would go down anyway, this just hurts way too much to see.
697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 17, 2023, 08:34:34 PM
Sometimes not all managers and teams click, that doesn't mean that the team was terrible, but it also doesn't mean that the manager was bad. That is a risk that the managers are taking, Garcia wasn't the manager to lead Napoli, that doesn't mean Garcia is a bad manager, the downside is that he will be labeled as the guy who took over a champions Napoli team and "ruined" them, not like they were doing that terrible to be fair, they are doing fine.

I think that's going to be the label for him and he will have harder time finding a job, or at least at a high level club. This is going to be fine though, because if he finds a club he clicks well with, then he is going to do better and he will show himself to be a good manager again.
698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bull run best time to promote Bitcoin related affiliate programs? on: November 17, 2023, 08:11:35 PM
I would agree that it would make sense to invest like that, there is nothing wrong with putting some work into a business idea like this during the bull run but you need to remember that you need to start beforehand.

If you start after bitcoin reaches 70k, then why would anyone trust you? They would just think that you are there to make money, and of course you are there to make money but you need to convince people that whatever you are selling, whatever affiliate you become, you are doing it not only for your own profit, but to make sure others benefit as well. On this path, you need to affiliate something that is good, not a scam, if you are affiliate of a scam, you will hurt others and people will trust you just once.
699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 17, 2023, 07:29:10 PM
I agree with everyone that Leipzig is the clear favorites there, but there is one more game Bayern vs Koln, which is 100% or so guaranteed, at least lets say 99% guaranteed because in football anything could happen and we have seen even Bayern fail to win, and even losing to a third division team which was a shocker but we do not see teams beating them at bundesliga that easily, so it shows that anything is possible while also the fact that Bayern rarely ever loses ever.

Leverkusen is playing Werder Bremen, which by the looks of it they are doing fine so they may win that one too, doesn't seem like a tough game but I still expect them to have a loss eventually, and we have Dortmund playing Gladbach and Dortmund needs to stop this bad situation. All in all, if we want to make a huge parlay bet, there is nothing stopping us and we could totally do that, there is like at least 4.00+ odds laying there, maybe more if you want to bet more games as well.
700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Is bigger block capacity still a taboo? on: November 17, 2023, 07:12:01 PM
This is such a weird position to be in, the results are very close to each other. All sides have super reasonable explanation for why they are feeling that way, bigger blocks people like me want cheaper and faster transactions but the ones who are against it also wants to make sure security doesn't get lower because of it, which makes sense.

I understand not wanting something like this, because in the end we are talking about something that may hurt the blockchain all together. Remember all those alts with blockchain issues and hacks? We wouldn't want that in bitcoin. I am sure in an ideal situation everyone would want it, why would we be against it, why would anyone be? But people are fearing what could go wrong about it.
