1601  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading good for beginners? on: February 21, 2023, 09:44:08 PM
During the bull run this happened multiple times. I have met with people who bought doge "just for fun" and made tens of thousands of dollars from it as well, and I have seen people bought the most useless shit I have ever seen which are all gone and worth less than a cent right now, but made thousands from it.

Because during the bull run people make a lot of money from bitcoin first, get their 2x to 5x increases, then they go into other smaller stuff but still top 50, and make their 10x from there, suddenly their 1000 dollars became 50 thousand dollars, what are they going to spend it on? Sure most of it stays in the big name ones, but some of it goes to very terrible small coins all together.
1602  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and Front running!!!! on: February 21, 2023, 09:23:48 PM
Insider information is something everyone can do if they are on the "inside" part of it. The problem is that not everyone is inside, and not everyone gets these information, so there are only handful of people who make this kind of profit.

For example, that dude who bought gain network token worth 200k? That guy knew it, but none of us did, and we couldn't enjoy that profit, whereas he did. This is why this part becomes unethical, an information that only a few people have, is not an information that should be allowed to trade on, that is illegal in the stock world, and since crypto world is not tightly watched yet, it is not getting caught, but would be illegal here too if you ever get caught doing it.
1603  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anonymity vs. KYC: The Pros and Cons of Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: February 21, 2023, 08:50:48 PM
I really do not trust the exchanges without any KYC at all, I mean there are so many laws that bans exchanges to not ask for KYC at all, which means that if we are depositing our money into an exchange that doesn't ask for KYC, that means they are working outside of the law and in that case how could we truly trust them?

However the ones that ask your KYC, even though annoying it might be, working with the officials to make that happen, otherwise why would they need your KYC, not to put your face on their bedroom wall, which means that they are at least a bit more credible, such as if anything happens they may go to jail, just like how FTX screwed up, but didn't get away with it, knowing that prevents scammers a lot.
1604  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain.com playing with the company's money? Rumor or truth? on: February 21, 2023, 07:18:14 PM
I wouldn't say that they are "evil" but it is definitely a shocking result that a company that owns the domain name blockchain.com could be making this many mistakes. They are not great at business obviously and they are running the company into bankruptcy and they will probably be bought by someone else in exchange of paying the debts without making any good profit at all.

But that doesn't mean they are evil, that just means they are not good at all and that's it, if you are not good that's not a bad thing, that just means you are failing at something. I believe that blockchain.com should not be doing any of this to stay alive, just sell the company and get out.
1605  Economy / Economics / Re: Motley Fool Adding $5 million worth bitcoins on their Balance Sheet on: February 21, 2023, 06:36:39 PM
To be fair, I do not know who motley fool are, and I do not know if they are famous, but the five million number is quite small. Considering the amount of money that's changing hands everyday in the crypto world, I can easily say that they are not doing that great by adding just five million.

This could be a good influencing move if they are famous, maybe it is just me who never heard of them and millions of others did, and in that case this five million doesn't even matter because the amount of money their followers could put in could be a lot higher and that's why I believe that it is going to be pretty important to just put their money into crypto if you can as a big company.
1606  Economy / Economics / Re: The Rise of GPT AI. Crypto is at risk? on: February 21, 2023, 05:20:09 PM
Like everyone already said, this is common and nothing new, maybe AI could find the most common ones, and collect data on how everyone else trades and what type of trades are done. Even could take out ALL trades ever made in an exchange by watching it, and then putting all of them in indicator data, showing what they look like, and showing data of which indicator was used the most and when people buy and when people sell the most commonly and then end up trading like that if you want to.

This is all great and definitely an improvement on what we have, but we have it, we have the bare bottoms what AI could do right now, and that's why it is not a risk at all, not even near a risk right now, can't be further away.
1607  Economy / Economics / Re: Keanu Reeves says Principle behind Cryptocurrency is Amazing on: February 20, 2023, 10:26:51 PM
Well, he is amazing too! It's really true, the idea behind blockchain and bitcoin is awesome and that is the reason why I am involved with it, I have seen how amazing it was, and joined right away as soon as I learned. The decentralization of currency itself is something beyond understanding, like that alone is super and should be promoted to everyone.

The fact that our money has been centralized so much so far is not acceptable and I deny using something like that. I rather have bitcoin which can't be controlled by anyone, and I do not mean the price, price could be manipulated, I mean bitcoin itself, that's the key to our success and our future.
1608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Prosecutors seize SBF’s $50M deposit to small bank on: February 20, 2023, 09:39:15 PM
I am guessing that him having just 100k is both true and wrong at the same time because of these news. It's probably true in a way that he probably only has "access" to 100k, meaning this 50 million that was seized? He wouldn't be able to touch it even if it wasn't seized, and that means it wasn't him to use even if he wanted to.

Is this true? Is this a fact? Absolutely not, I am just guessing, maybe he is a bad person, which wouldn't shock me considering he lost billions, and just pure lying to get out of jail. In any case, all the money that is under his name and under FTX assets should be seized to pay the victims of this bankruptcy back, would only be right.
1609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the Altcoins in the AI & Big data category become more popular in 2023? on: February 20, 2023, 08:49:20 PM
I do not think so, because AI is barely getting to acceptable level and that is with the biggest funding, so the "AI" that we see with these new tokens are just fake stuff and not even a proper software, it's a terrible mock of a thing that we have already, and not really an AI at all, it's fake.

That is why people will not put their money into it, and all the acceptable level AI companies are going with the business route and not token route and charging people fiat to use them and that's how they work. Not an easy thing to do, but at the end of the day it's at least something to do and that's why I prefer that over anything else, definitely a good thing.
1610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano (ADA) Sees Immense Price Bump as Ecosystem Grows Exponentially on: February 20, 2023, 02:53:50 PM
ADA has always been a "growing" coin, it is not the biggest or best coin, neither at second position to rival ethereum, it's not there. However, one thing we can say about ADA is that it never stops, while you may not know what is developed in other coins and projects, you know that there is always something cooking in ADA.

I used to own a ton of it, but I gave up and sold most of it and bought btc and eth with it, because even though it is growing constantly, doesn't mean it's great, and that's why I never felt at ease about it. But nevertheless, it is something that I could support psychologically and be rooting for it to have an amazing future because of all the hard work they put into it.
1611  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If it was you on: February 18, 2023, 12:08:03 PM
You should not bother about volatility as one of the risky factor if you decide to trade cryptocurrencies. Instead, you should find methods to overcome against all risk factors to make profits which also should be in consistent manner. This way spot trading should be suitable for many beginners. If volatility is the big concern then you should opt for holding by leaving off trading completely.

Without volatility you cannot enjoy trading even you manage to make little money. Trading is enjoyable and profitable for the right traders who know how to ride on volatile market. Like I mentioned before, if you cannot handle volatility then choose holding and enjoy profits in long run.
1612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BUSD labeled as unregistered security by SEC on: February 17, 2023, 08:46:06 PM
SEC likes to have some control, and when there is something that they can't control, they like to discredit it and consider it as illegal as they could possibly make. In this case, BUSD is pegged to dollar, and Binance doesn't really care about US government because they are not based there, which causes the troubles.

USDT is also not based in USA neither, but they at least respond when called upon, which tells SEC that they could just call them up and control them, but they can't do that with Binance, which means they had to threaten them with BUSD and make it a security to make sure Binance realizes they can't play this game, US is much bigger than they could ever be.
1613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins to HODL on: February 17, 2023, 08:18:04 PM
There are no altcoins to "hodl" in my opinion, maybe I am being a little bit harsh but all of them have their hype for a while, and when something else gets hyped even more, then the old ones go down and the new hyped ones will go up.

What we need to focus with this is something that can stay up even when others are hyped, which is where ETH made their fame, and BNB took a bit of that as well. Because there could be a ton of tokens using ETH chain and that allows ETH to stay high, not because people love eth but because they have tokens on eth. But aside from that, bitcoin is my go to investment and will always stay like that forever, it's just by far the best one.
1614  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do if bitcoin crash? on: February 17, 2023, 07:41:29 PM
Buy more? Many people will say that, and many will say they will just go about their regular life without anything else. We have to realize that bitcoin is not the only thing that is keeping us alive, I mean I have been involved with crypto for so long and faced so many crashes and nothing really changed in my life when that happened, so that means I won't be really bothered about it anyway.

I know many people think of something much worse, like poverty or something, and even heard people who hurt themselves when price went down, but it's simply because they made wrong moves when buying, bought with money they can't afford to lose, that's the reason, not the crash.
1615  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Is Your Bitcoin market speculation for the month on: February 17, 2023, 07:18:01 PM
We are already above 24k right now, which means that 25k shouldn't be really that much of a trouble if you ask me, it should be as common as it gets because we are pretty close.

I am sure that it is not going to be easy and it is going to take a while before we get used to the fact that we are up and some people will sell to take some profits and all that, but I am pretty sure that it's not going to be easy to handle for the bull people who already saw it go up, and if it doesn't go up even more than we are going to be pretty upset about it eventually, we want to see it go up even more. I think it is not an easy thing to see it go up but then stand still.
1616  Economy / Economics / Re: I have a raspberry, I buy the raspberry from myself, how much money do I make? on: February 17, 2023, 06:44:09 PM
Something needs to turn into cash first before it could have a value, anything that has zero value on the market will have zero price as well. I could sell myself a raspberry for a million dollars if I want to, if it has no value in the market then it means it worths zero.

Same goes for bitcoin, you could "sell" yourself a bitcoin for a million dollars, but nobody will buy bitcoin for that much money from you, which means that it's not going to work for you at all, it is going to be an issue. So for something to have any worth, we have to say that it has to have buyers, that is what you can understand from this thought experiment, it's just simple as that.
1617  Economy / Economics / Re: They still think crypto is easy to manipulate? - CEO Crunchbase on: February 17, 2023, 03:21:44 PM
I still do not understand why these big names are making up risks that they can't calculate to make a point. You have no idea if bitcoin is more risky than some penny stock, first of all you do not know which penny stock we are talking about, there are less risky ones and there are more risky ones, you would have zero ideas how that would work.

Secondly when we are talking about penny stocks, we are talking about very little regulations and people could scam you very easily, literally "build" a company in a friends name, and make you invest into it as well. All in all bitcoin is much more safe, and it will stay that way forever, we are beyond that risk level now, been beyond that for years.
1618  Economy / Economics / Re: does bitcoin help in your economy? on: February 17, 2023, 02:56:08 PM
It can, and it does. I had 2 times in my life when I had to cash out my crypto, and both times I had big issues that I could never solve without crypto, it allowed me to fix all the problems and I also got a big help from my boss as well, combined those two things together and I managed to overcome all of my troubles.

Just recently I had to cash out again and if I didn't invested into bitcoin, I have no idea what I would have done, which is why I believe that it is very paramount to my future that I keep investing into bitcoin at all times. This is why I do not trade it nor wait for it to drop, as soon as I get some money, that goes right into bitcoin.
1619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on BUSD and other stables. on: February 16, 2023, 09:34:51 PM
BUSD is the best one out of all the others in my opinion but still do not trust it. I do not trust stablecoins overall, end of story.

The main reason for this is the fact that it is pegged to fiat and I do not trust fiat, it's based on dollars, that means if Biden comes out tomorrow and says something stupid, which is not unlikely, worth of a dollar could drop, it is still 1 dollar, but it worths less now, why get the crypto version of that when I can buy bitcoin? That is why I won't do anything with stablecoins but if I had to pick one and forced on it, I would pick BUSD over others because I trust binance over other companies that has a stablecoin.
1620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alts Blood Bath for Feb? on: February 16, 2023, 09:16:30 PM
Lol seriously, as if the whole market waited for this topic to be opened before it could go back up again. Bitcoin is 24.5k again and everything else went up a lot as well. This is basically a proof that the market could always recover at all times very quickly and we should be quite happy and alright with whatever we have. I am not saying it is an easy thing nor a hard thing for it to recover but it is certainly a sudden thing.

You may think it took over a year for it to start going up, but the reality is that it took just one afternoon for it to start going up. So that means anything could happen suddenly and we should not be too pessimistic about the past.
