1561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Our thoughts on Solana currently? on: March 04, 2023, 04:11:00 PM
I think it's both investable and not investable at the same time. It is looking good because there are so many projects listed right now for that, and it is really looking like growing at exponential rate and doing very well, but at the same time it is looking like there is something that would be reasonable to avoid if you look at all the times it got stuck as well.

I wouldn't be able to say invest into it because it's great, but I wouldn't be able to really say sell it all and run away neither, it's in between both things. We have seen things grow even from these type of problems, and we have seen them get stuck and eventually drop after these troubles too.
1562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why all these crypto-twitter "influencers" are still exist? on: March 04, 2023, 10:45:19 AM
Because there are people who are fool enough to fall for them? That is the only reason, there are still a ton of people who check these influencers and base their investments after their suggestions and they basically make them famous.

You do not have to pay an influencer to give you good deals neither, you just have to follow them, and if enough people follow them, then we are going to end up seeing a good amount of offers thrown at them by projects. I have talked with plenty, they charge anything between 400 dollars to 2000 dollars, of course there are bigger ones as well but that is what I learned, and they had like 20-25 tweets like that, which means they made anywhere between 8k to 40k that month, insane amount of money to make.
1563  Economy / Economics / Re: How to increase capital investment on: March 04, 2023, 09:10:59 AM
Have more income? I have been doing signature campaigns in this forum for a while now, and all of it goes directly into bitcoin investment, I also have a regular salary like all working people and I live with that.

Thanks to this, I can invest 300+ dollars, which is not a small amount in my nation, as investment to bitcoin. That alone is 3.6k dollars or more in a single year, consider that in 2022 we were all low, if you think we could go up just 10x, that means close to 40k dollars profit from this investment, considering I did it before and after, it means we are going to have even more money. That is how you have a big capital, consistent amount of investment with extra income.
1564  Economy / Economics / Re: My survival strategies in this harsh economic conditions on: March 04, 2023, 08:18:10 AM
I think having a children is definitely one of the reasons why it is economically difficult to survive considering children cost a lot of money. But at the same time do not imagine that people or even couples live a frugal life when they do not have children.

As I lived, I learned that, people spend as much as they make until a point, of course if you are Elon Musk maybe not so much, but if you are a regular person, 500 bucks a month and 5k a month doesn't really make that much change, and that means if you do not spend your money on your children, then you will end up spending that money on something else, so it is not really a way to save money to not have a kid.
1565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: March 03, 2023, 08:53:11 PM
I think more clubs will definitely make it a lot more interesting, and if anything like Morocco happens where a team nobody gave a chance ends up getting better than expected results and go further, that would be lovely to watch, it is always fun to see teams that are not so high on level end up being such great situations that would be good entertainment for us.

But, if they end up anything like Qatar, like join for the first time, lose all their games, and quickly go back home? Then in that case it would be pretty terrible and I wouldn't want something like that to happen for sure, it is going to be pretty difficult to watch in that case and very sad for them.
1566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In the best interest of investors, Bounties shouldn't be paid in Tokens on: March 03, 2023, 08:20:23 PM
Simply put, just like everyone else said, they can't afford to. I mean it is not even about not trusting if their project will be big or not, even if they think that their project will be huge, they just can't afford to pay people in stablecoins for example. Most projects in the world start with very limited funds and that is why they end up paying people in tokens, which allows them to simply spend zero amounts on any of the marketing.

You could just create a token, promise people some free tokens that didn't cost you anything, they will do your marketing, if you succeed then all of you win together, if you lose, none of you lost anything but time.
1567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still hunt for airdrops? on: March 03, 2023, 07:04:38 PM
Only during bull runs. Because during bull runs for some reason or another everything has a value and that makes it worth it, and I support doing it during those times since I could make some profit with it. However, if we are talking about this bear market that we are in right now, then I would suggest not to do it because nothing really worths money at the moment.

I mean the big ones could be a good way to invest, bitcoin and ethereum and so forth but those are big ones and not have any airdrop, or if there is any airdrop or bounty that pays in stablecoins then that would be good as well. However, during the bear market, never take newly created tokens at all.
1568  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price guess for March on: March 02, 2023, 10:03:51 PM
I think we will break above 25k this month, I know it is not going to be easy and all, but it is going to happen if you ask me. However, I should point out that I expected bitcoin to reach above 25k during February as well, I realized it wouldn't after a while, but at the start of the month I expected that, after a few weeks I saw that it wouldn't happen but that is another subject.

In the end, I am going to expect it this month too, and if it fails but stays above 22k eventually, even above 20k, then I will expected it in April, basically as long as it stays above 20k, I will keep on expecting it to happen every single month without exception, of course only if it's above 20k.
1569  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will institutional investors kill the four year boom/bust cycle? on: March 02, 2023, 09:02:20 PM
Not really. I understand that they have a lot more money to actually change something about the market, but if you were a rich whale that could follow a pattern and make billions, would you want to change that at all? Why would you want to change it?

I think by 2025 they will know that it will go up, and they will buy before that a bit, accumulate slowly to not disrupt the market, and then make a ton of money, buying 1-5 billion worth bitcoin in 2 years is nothing, you could do about 20-30 million dollars a day, which will not be even felt, and you could have so many bitcoins, and that is how they will do it to make sure they can profit from this pattern.
1570  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I dont like predicting btc price or moves but here is what i think i see on: March 02, 2023, 07:29:49 PM
I get that people could be in a panic mode these days and that s why it keeps on crashing that 25k barrier and go down constantly, it is once again dropped under 24k, and it was a good day yesterday, not so good day today and this will keep happening for a while. I get that it is not a simple thing and I get that we shouldn't be really expecting it to break over 25k too quickly.

However, we are doing fine as it is right now and this should be good enough for most people. I mean, yeah we are not above 25k right now, but that doesn't change the fact that we are also above 23k, which we were at 16k just a few months ago, so it is still a good thing we are here.
1571  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can you share some of your insights from working with brokers on: March 02, 2023, 05:16:59 PM
I did it once, it wasn't really a pleasant feeling. Back when I first got into stocks around 2009 to 2010, I started working with a broker, and I explained to him that I wanted to deal with stocks that have dividends because usually before the dividend payment date the price goes up, so you get the dividend AND the increase together, and he kept on insisting that other companies do not pay dividends and goes up higher because of that since they use all of that to grow.

I explained to him many times that simple math would be like that but they don't, and they won't, it is not just about math, it is about humane psychology on the market and that's how I wanted to invest, and after a while I got annoyed enough to stop.
1572  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Trade have types? on: March 01, 2023, 08:54:25 PM
These types are basically like types of human as well, nothing further. If you are a person who likes to jump out of planes, or bunge jumping or whatever, then maybe 100x leverage could sound fun to you, my understanding of "fun" is staying at home, watching some netflix, and eating popcorn while drinking cola. That means I love long term investment, because you can't go to safari everyday, but you can watch netflix every single day.

On the other hand, we are talking about people who like to go to work and enjoy their work, those days are short term scalping type of traders, not as lazy as me, but not as risky as leverage, and many other types of trading, all equals to a type of person.
1573  Economy / Economics / Re: Defying gravity, 2022 Climate Tech VC funding totals $70.1B, up 89% on 2021 on: March 01, 2023, 07:29:53 PM
The sad thing about Climate change and our issues with it is the fact that we are not going to solve it anytime soon, and it is going to reach to a point where it is going to be irreversible. I think it was about 6 years or so left, and we have been talking about this issue for well over 20 years, and yet nothing has been done by the people who should do it the most.

China for example, keeps polluting the world even worse, and unless you put some very harsh sanctions on them until they fix it, they won't care at all. Does it look like they care about the climate or any green energy? The only green they care about is dollar green and that is why no matter how much we spend on these VC and solution stuff, if we don't stop pollution, it won't help.
1574  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Disrupting our Financial Landscape? on: March 01, 2023, 06:52:59 PM
Have we considered the fact that maybe our financial landscape should be disrupted to begin with?
I mean it is not looking all that nice as of right now to begin with, and there are a ton of people who are starving, homeless, sick and can't get healthcare and many other terrible situations.

Do you think that we want to live this way? Is the world okay? I am not saying that bitcoin is the way to get everyone rich, but the fact is that it makes everyone equally richer, how?

Well, there are more than 21 million millionaires in the world, so that means even with everyone getting at least 1 bitcoins, there won't be enough bitcoin per millionaire, it will bring everyone closer eventually.
1575  Economy / Economics / Re: Methods to cut food costs on: March 01, 2023, 05:08:03 PM
Well nothing could be "300%" discount, it doesn't work that way lol, you get 100% discount as free, which means that by the same calculation if you had 1.66 per drumstick at KFC and 90 pence for homemade, that would be basically 60% or so discount, not 300%, but still an amazing idea. I am doing something similar this month and probably next few months as well. I had to start from zero again, so I live a better life right now but I will need to stack up my investments again and in order to do that I have two methods.

First of all, I sell things that I no longer need, it just doesn't make sense to keep useless stuff around the house, and secondly I start eating "healthy", as in at home, and not just kfc drumsticks or anything, I mean salads, veggies, potatoes, cheap stuff.
1576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Shouldn’t Regulate Crypto Stablecoins, Says Circle CEO on: March 01, 2023, 03:21:50 PM
To be fair Circle CEO would say something like that, it is not really a shocking information. Obviously we are talking about something that is a bit more difficult to handle, it is not going to be as easy, or as acceptable for someone in the crypto world, specially for someone who is CEO in a crypto industry company.

However, SEC will consider it as very important problems because we are talking about some random companies issue their own dollars and selling it to people, that's a bit weird. I mean if I just printed my own paper money, and distributed, and said "this worths a dollar, if you need it come back to me and take your dollar" would you buy from me? You do it from tether though?
1577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano (ADA), The Public Chain for Smart Contract will be Launched Soon on: February 28, 2023, 06:05:31 PM
Still? They have been working on this smart contract for so long, so many years, that I still can't believe it is not fully functioning big thing already. So many projects have their own smart contract already, and it is a shame that ADA still doesn't have a widely popular one that they created so long ago.

In the end, it could be like ETH or BNB where people have a ton of project, or it could be like SOL and be mediocre, or it could basically turn out to be like TRX and simply just have nobody really caring about it and ignoring it largely. Just because you have smart contract doesn't mean that the price will go up, it depends on how much it is used.
1578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 28, 2023, 05:22:15 PM
Lebron seems to be having some trouble with that right foot, it can't be "that" bad considering he played afterwards, but it is not good enough that he will be back next game neither. It is said that he will be out without a clear date of comeback, he will be just out and just day to day check how he is feeling, he will most likely miss a few games, or he should at least if he wants the injury to heal better or he could agitate it even worse, he may come back very next game as well but then it is a big risk and he shouldn't.

Best case scenario, he will rest for a week or so, not use that foot, just rehab the injury nursing it back to health and then come back. Considering they are in a bad situation right now, it will hurt their chance for playoff, but it is better to stay healthy instead of chasing playoffs that you know you can't get a title from anyway.
1579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2022/23 Season on: February 28, 2023, 03:36:33 PM
Galatasaray built a very good team for the season, and unless anything changes they have the best roster and could definitely end up with the title. However, after building such an amazing team, one thing is missing; striker. I know everyone is in love with Icardi and all, but they have him for just this season, which he can even be called back as well, so there is no guarantee he will stay whole season, and that means we are talking about a situation where either this year, or next year, they won't have a striker at all.

Having Icardi made them look so much better, but without him, if they get a bad one, or not even get one, then they will suck next year, which is a big trouble. They need to find someone that they can buy, not loan.
1580  Economy / Economics / Re: Cash is not trash on: February 28, 2023, 01:08:04 PM
I would say that cash is irrelevant these days. Look at the world and how the money exchanges hands, I bet that even crypto is bigger than cash at this moment, because not many people really use cash, and that's the issue. Sure we use fiat, but fiat and cash are not the same things, you could bank wire transfer some fiat, or spend your credit card to buy something which is quite common these days, but you can't really make any type of cash interaction that easily, it has to be face to face.

This is why I believe that cash is already trash, it was trash even if crypto didn't existed, it just doesn't make sense to me at all to use it at this day and age.
