1661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: February 08, 2023, 07:28:03 PM
I agree that it will take time for Ronaldo to get used to this level of playing and his teammates, but we also need to realize that he is not what he used to be, meaning if it takes too much time for him to get used to it, he might be not good enough to matter eventually.

I still think that he will score a lot next season, by that time they will get player that will compliment his style, and I think he will be used to it by then, and it will be much better for him. This year they may end up winning the title, and then next year they will use Ronaldo a lot better and it will be a good situation to be in for him. Let's hope he doesn't get even worse before that.
1662  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Retracement will finally happen on: February 07, 2023, 09:12:25 PM
I agree that it will go up, and it's already in green a bit and I think it will stay green for a while and we will go up. However, that doesn't mean that we should be too excited about it, it's not guaranteed yet, and even if it does go up, that doesn't mean it will stay up neither and we could have some bad results.

This is why it's so important to keep investing, so that you could wait out all these ups and downs and navigate yourself through these volatile periods. If you could do that, and you could hold tight and wait for better prices in the end, it may take months or even maybe over a year before we break over ATH again, but when it happens, it will be all worth the wait.
1663  Economy / Economics / Re: How Bitcoin mooved from grass to grace. on: February 07, 2023, 07:43:26 PM
There will always be topics that spark some controversy with how it was written. But, I agree on the idea and the mindset, yes bitcoin is something that may make us rich and it's good to buy and hold it.

I know that it's not going to be "riskless" and I know that there are risks involved and that is why it is so important to be careful when you are investing, but that doesn't change the fact that it's still one of the better assets in the world to hold right now and anyone who could buy and hold it for at least a decade, will "probably" end up being richer. I am saying "probably" because there is no guarantee but it does look like it's going to be a decent thing to do.
1664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tip and Tricks about when to buy or when to sell? on: February 07, 2023, 06:49:26 PM
The best tip that I got from someone was "make sure that people think its about to go up during a bear run", because if its on a bear run, and people think that bear run is about to be over, there isa  good chance it could go down even more.

There was also the one about leverage that said, if you do not have x10 more money to lose than the bet you are about to make, don't do it. If you have 1000 dollars, you do not make a leverage position for 800, you do it max 100 dollars, or even less if possible. That way you are never too much in trouble, it would be bad if you lose of course, but you will be fine in the long run and could recover from such a loss.
1665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: misconceptions have always been and will always be on: February 07, 2023, 01:09:21 PM
I have talked about how it is easy to build a new project before, it is incredibly easy, I could literally make one in a single day. If that is so easy then that means it should be very very tough to invest into a new project, because that project could be like one I could make, or it could be a great one. I rather not invest into anything that hasn't been around for a while.

When you are trying to make any type of research into any project, all the things you look in them would be obvious after 6 months, so why try to "guess" something when you can invest later on. If a project won't go up much after the first 6 months, then it wasn't worth it investing before that neither.
1666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: February 07, 2023, 08:43:34 AM
PSG definitely looks like the winners again, yeah I know Mbappe is missing and many are putting that as reason to lose points here, but I agree with luckmcfly, this is a game PSG could easily win. Messi has beaten these type of easy games all by himself before, and maybe he is older now and may not do it all by himself, but he is still a huge force that could bring a win and him getting that time with Neymar? That's going to be easy win for them unless something changes.

Plus, we should stop acting as if the only good players in PSG are Messi-Neymar-Mbappe trio, they have plenty other good players, all the way starting from goalkeeper to defense to midfield, they are all good.
1667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 07, 2023, 06:56:44 AM
Milan can't suddenly start being a great team in UCL just because they are losing in the league. I mean they are not doing that great right now and they won't do anything good in UCL neither, that is not going to happen, that is going to be a problem for them.

Doesn't mean they can't beat Spurs, there is a good chance that they could beat Spurs and that could happen, but that doesn't change the fact that we will see them do even better afterwards, the best they can do will be beating Spurs, after that, unless they get a very very lucky draw from a much smaller team, they are going to lose, and there is a big possibility that they will lose to Spurs as well.
1668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 05, 2023, 09:10:24 PM
Newcastle getting a draw with west ham was a shocker to me, they were the team at third place solidly for so long and United came from nowhere and took it, that was a shocking result too.

Everyone is talking about how Everton won and yes that was the big result this week and that was a bad one, but that doesn't change the fact that we are talking about Newcastle getting a draw is a big shocker too. Some weeks are like this, you do not really know who will do how. In any case, Arsenal didn't lose their positions for losing this game, but Newcastle did, and that is why I believe that it's a much bigger situation and a lot better result in the long run.
1669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why people are always interested in altcoins on: February 04, 2023, 02:18:21 PM
I think one of the main points is that they believe they can somehow contribute to the conversation. I cannot really change anything about bitcoin itself, nor about ethereum or bnb or ada or avax or matic whatever. But if I can find something small, something that is just starting out or even haven't been released yet, then I could be in their chat and talking about what type of direction it should take, and maybe I won't be cared and they will do whatever they want to do but at least I would have some sort of understanding about it.

This is why I believe that we should be focusing a bit more towards the control part of it, and why people like to feel so important and why that matters for altcoin world.
1670  Economy / Economics / Re: The world continues dumping US dollar (Gold, New World Order, World War III) on: February 04, 2023, 01:40:43 PM
Why do people act as if World War III is a possibility all the time. I get it, we had 2 world wars and people think that a third could happen, but there were defensive mechanisms put in place exactly to stop that from happening.

You think 50 years ago, or 100 years ago, Russia attacking Ukraine would have been seen as just "what a terrible tragedy that people are dying, oh well" and moved on? Right now, no European army or American army is there, sure they send weapons to help, but the army is not there, why? To prevent that war from starting. We are not going to see it become like that, just financial attacking between governments, that's it, and nothing bigger will ever happen.
1671  Economy / Economics / Re: How to thrive with low income in a humble area on: February 04, 2023, 10:05:10 AM
Thrive is the hardest part. I mean if you have a low income then even if you live in a humble area then you can't really thrive there, or maybe your understanding of thrive is different than mine.

I personally believe that if you want to thrive, then you should be making more money than people around you, I used to make as much as x4 more than what people around me made, but these days the inflation caused it to be terrible right now and because of that people are getting a lot more money, even though their purchasing power is similar, or maybe even lower, which caused my x4 to be a lot less, barely x2 these days, not even that much. This is why it's a trouble.
1672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2022/23 Season on: February 03, 2023, 09:36:42 PM
When you are facing a team that had 11 games in a row winning streak, it's going to be tough to have any motivation left in the club. There could have been some referee situation going on, and I am not here to argue against that or for that, but the fact is simple; they weren't dominant enough and barely got a tie, and they are capable of playing much better than that.

If they played like how they played at the start of the season, then they would have won this game no matter what the decisions was, and that means they just lack motivation these days and it's understandable considering how Galatasaray got 11 in a row, 14 official games in a row, that could make any team lose motivation.
1673  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The patience to hold is a gift on: February 03, 2023, 08:01:32 PM
The fact that people think doing "nothing" is a gift shows how much we really care about the current situation of crypto trading. Normally, it's literally just buying bitcoin and that's it, your job is done, go do whatever you want. However, for some reason it became something hard for some people and I have no idea why that happened and how that happened.

I would personally say that the hardest thing about the current situation would be making it harder to follow what you normally do, because if you haven't bought any yet, then that's fine, and after you buy some, you should go back to doing whatever you were doing before buying, why would that be any hard to anyone.
1674  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your successes over the past 5 years on: February 03, 2023, 06:44:42 PM
I agree that it is not just about time measurement but more like information. If you truly understand what crypto is all about, you will never have to work in an office ever again. That doesn't mean you will make profit from trading right away, of course you won't have that on day 1, but if you understand the logic, you will realize that there is money to be made in crypto, and there is money to be invested.

So you can work from your home, doing something in the crypto world to earn your salary, keep some of it in crypto, and in 10-20 years you will be a wealthy person. I have been doing that, and I will keep doing that for a long time and I am sure I will do alright.
1675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are good at using the most hyped utility on: February 03, 2023, 06:03:42 PM
Scamming is not an easy job, I have to say it requires you to be very good at your job if you want to make money. I could definitely create the most high tech thing with the biggest buzzwords, like some AI coin based on NFT metaverse game for example, look how many hyped things is in there and yet you know what would happen if I do that?

I would not make a dime because I wouldn't be able to do a proper marketing for it. On the other hand these scammers build something with hyped utility, and they manage to steal as much as millions from people and that's beyond my understanding and ability. So scamming is not as easy as you think, it's quite a tough thing to do.
1676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What could be considered red flags with tokenomics of new projects? on: February 03, 2023, 05:38:32 PM
Honestly? It's the token itself, if it is a regular token with nothing in it, then I won't invest into it at all. There are too many projects with just regular token with absolutely no flavour, they add the flavour in later on with what you can do with it, give it a usecase, like "oh you can buy things from our website to make even more tokens" type of thing. That's not going to be ok with me, I won't invest into anything like that.

If someone wants my money, they need to innovate and improve the token world and they need to add something new to it, which would mean that they know what they are doing, no guarantee it will be profitable, but at least it's a way to eliminate %99 of the tokens.
1677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if 1 satoshi worth more than 1 dollar? on: February 02, 2023, 08:35:23 PM
So, if I  got this right, that means we need 100 million dollars per bitcoin for this to happen? If that's the correct calculation then we d o not really need to worry about this right now. I understand that it is a thought experiment, but that doesn't mean that we should be calculating right now or forced to find a solution to it. Doesn't mean that it won't happen, but it is clear that we are talking about a whole different world than we live in right now when that happens.

It means that by that time we will have much more clear solutions to it because the world would have more options available at that point. I believe that this is an issue that will come with its solution in due time.
1678  Economy / Economics / Re: Is taking a loan/debt addicted ? on: February 02, 2023, 08:15:33 PM
This is definitely a way that goes on to create a very bad life. My parents were like this, and they screwed up really bad in the end. If you are taking a loan, then make sure that you can pay it back, if you have to just get a big bag of rice and just eat that until you have enough money to pay.

I literally mean living as cheap as possible, just rice, ramen, noodle, water, and barely minimum of anything else, no netflix, no disney plus, nothing, just spend as little as possible, do not even drink coffee. I did this, I had debt for four months, and I lived as cheaply as possible and spent nearly nothing, and paid a huge debt back, which should have taken me 3 years in normal situations, took me 4 months and I am now debtless again.
1679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how the name of Bitcoin is spreading globally! on: February 02, 2023, 06:41:04 PM
Doesn't matter if it is the gold one, it still shows the bitcoin name there and that's a good marketing for us. However, something major such as crypto.com being on the world cup or being on formula 1, is much bigger of course because it reaches to bigger amount of people.

The adoption happens when you have people that matter start talking about it, politicians and celebrities and influencers all talking about it spreads it even further. That happens more commonly during the bull period and looking at how we are increasing in price right now, if we go up a bit more, like to over 30k levels, then we are going to start seeing those things in the long run for sure.
1680  Economy / Economics / Re: "Prepare for defation in 2023" on: February 02, 2023, 03:12:23 PM
I think surge regarding the price of bitcoin is something that is not "just" based on world economy. I mean sure it is impacted, there is no denying that and when the economy is terrible the price goes up because if fiat is terrible then it should be good for bitcoin.

But at the same time, we should not put the price of bitcoin depending just on that, there are many other things that it gets affected by, and it could be one of those that makes it. Like some great news of some big nation making it legal tender could make the price go up suddenly, even when economy hasn't changed, as you can see the world economy is the same, but that good news could make it higher. That type of things matter.
