IP banning is not the solution, clevermining could easily setup a proxy, have a different IP and continue doing what it does. What surprises me is that this coin isn't too expensive for them to mine yet. Profitability must have dropped for them. And, are there other switching pools? If there are, they are most likely keeping them out.
If clever decided to go through the hassle of setting up a proxy for a single altcoin, I would seriously take that as a blatant attack on the coin. It wouldn't look good for clever if they did this, and Terk would probably lose a lot of respect from the crypto community. IP banning clever would give us some additional time to plan out a permanent solution for the longevity of the coin. It would also relieve some of the burden on members like Biomike, who could then spend BTC on NLG rather than hashing power if they wanted. I'm just tired of seeing clever rape this coin for their own greed. -Fuse

First, Investeerder... enough already. You're sounding like a broken record. Go FUD elsewhere. In fact I would seriously consider paying you to go FUD elsewhere.
Second, thanks for the support, Biomike. Not only for the Criptoe pool, but for the overall network hashrate you have provided for network. If we didn't have members of the community like yourself stepping up and making these choices, Clever would continue to rape this coin.
Which brings me to my last point. Why are we seriously still allowing clever to mine NLG? We have community members spending money to negate their influence on the coin. When someone has cancer, you don't say, "oh, well lets change your diet and see if that helps". No... you go after it aggressively. You nuke the cancer out of existence, and then you change your habits. IP block clevermining. It's not centralizing anything. Quite opposite of that. Clever controls too much of the network without community buy-in. They centralize this coin. It's a cancer that has plagued us for too long, and I honestly don't see why we can't mitigate their effects right now. IP block clever, let the price be what it would without 50% daily sellout, and let's finally move on.

I can vouch for Dabs in that his family does in fact own a clothing manufacturing business, and that he is being 100% honest in this listing. I will say this, though... he probably won't discuss financials in an open thread. I know I wouldn't.
If you're seriously interested, I would take it to PM.

It would be nice if you could stop calling names and insulting everybody that says something you do not like. An adult discussion based on arguments should be enough.
I have Team lead a development team in 2 companies and all that will end up happening is the project will keep getting bigger and more will be needed. My plan would be the following. 1.Create Simulator that will work for Guldencoin, it doesn't need to be a complete workable open source product to cater for all scrypt coins needs. Focus on Guldencoin first. 2. Test against Guldencoin blockchain 3. Update Guldencoin algorithm SO OTHER WORK CAN CONTINUE (iOS)4. If change is successful then you should finish the simulator into a complete package to make it open source. These 4 steps will cause less delay for us. Is GJ on holiday? no updates? 3-6 months before completed the algo WTF this coin is going to die in that time Digithusiast- I stated my arguments. I'm just tired of the FUD. Investeerder has being spreading it, so I called him on it. Let the team announce timelines, not people who have no idea what they're talking about. Enough said. Investeerder- How is that not the game plan? Coins are coins. If you were a developer, you would know that the code won't differ greatly from Gulden to XYZCoin. Technically, you can make it specific to Gulden and it would be generic enough to use for all coins. Most coins are based off the same source, and therefor are almost structurally identical. If you could tell me why it would be so different, I'm all ears. As far as I can see right now, your plan is the plan. So why all the timeline FUD? Dawson- I would honestly take a wild stab in the dark and say that you are a puppet shill account of the puppet shill account Investeerder. Enough with your FUD too. -Fuse

Until /GeertJohan comes on here and tells us he's actively working on the simulator I am allowed to speculate on timings as much as the next person. My bet is not on the algorithm change but a open source version of the simulator being ready within 3 months. The simulator will be a great milestone for the coin but I am saying to cut down the algorithm change date to under 3 months I would suggest the dev does a simulator tailor made for Guldencoin first, test it against our blockchain, roll out the changes needed and afterwards if successful can worry about a open source product.
He doesn't have to come on here to tell us he's working on it. He's posted the Twitch feed twice so we could watch him work on it. Sure that was only 2 times, but I know for a fact that he's been more involved than that. You've said on 2 occasions already that an algorithm change would be 6 months out. Again... wrong, as I have pointed out in a previous post. You said the simulator would take 3-6 months: The developer /GeertJohan is working on a simulator at least once a week for about 3 hrs a week according to the live feeds , so it wil take another 3-6 months before it's completed at this rate as people are saying it will be a first for cryptos. So expect the development changes for the new algorithm to be done middle of next year.
Now you're saying a solid 3 months with a 20k bet on it. You're back-peddling because you know you're talking out your ass. You have no idea how long anything will take, but you come into the thread... the only thread you've ever posted in on BCT... and you make it seem like progress isn't happening. Just because /GJ doesn't stream all his work doesn't mean he isn't working. I can vouch for his commitment to this simulator, and the algorithm change. He's working a lot harder than you assume. 90% of your posts in this forum are questioning the completing dates of the IOS wallet, simulator, algo change, etc. So instead of throwing out estimated completion dates for something you're not even helping with, why don't you volunteer your time to do something to better the situation instead of shitting on the timeline? -Fuse

I will keep the bet @20k and when I win you can give Bram_vnl the 20 000. I know how the dev world works and /GeertJohan will do the algorithm change long before this simulator is complete. No one is this fast and if he had to complete it within 3 months with algo change then I will add /GeertJohan is best developer in the world to my signature.
You seem to know a lot about the development cycle here, considering you just started shilling here recently. Sure you had a couple posts asking about when things were going to be done with the IOS wallet, but your posts were mostly shill FUD. What makes you think that it is seriously going to take 6 months to do an algorithm change? What makes you think the simulator is going to take 3? Do you even understand what the simulator does? It's a little advanced, but not that complicated. The algorithm testing could be done now on the testnet, but does anyone have that kind of BTC laying around to throw at cloud mining for testing purposes only? I know I don't. I'd rather test with the simulator. So let /GJ do what he's doing and it will get done.... and I'm sure it will be faster than 3 months. Just stop with the FUD already. -Fuse

Consider me gone if NLG help scam coin. Scammers of EFL still hold lots of coins, why make them rich? Reason EFL don't have help is because many coin in few hands. Not like Guldencoin where lot of coin in many hands and more people help. Don't be stupid here, they only in it for selfish reason and why taint NLG name with a coin that started as scam?
Can we consider you gone regardless? You've been on the FUD-wagon lately in this thread, and frankly I'm not having it. -Fuse

Wrong.People, including my team, are already working on modified code to test against this simulator to see if the our code changes work. We can either bring down the network to test a bunch of possible changes with the network hashrate. OR... we can run a bunch of smaller simulated networks as a test with the simulator, each with their own code changes, and not disrupt day to day use. The simulator and ground work being done by /GJ is absolutely needed. Stop the FUD. -Fuse

Fortunately, you have a lot of soul my friend Not to worry, price is low and stable now, that shows excellent perspective! And I know for a fact that in about a month from now miners will go crazy over this, solo mining the crap out of Clever! Did I already mention Christmas is coming? Awww... shucks. Thanks, mate I hear you on Christmas coming. I'm honestly wondering when I should drop my project info. I'd love to drop the info now but I'm still waiting to have it in hand. Roughly 9 more days until completion. I can't wait to see the community's thoughts on it. So exciting. -Fuse

Does anyone else ever wonder what the price would look like if 50%+ of the coins mined in the day weren't insta-sold by our favorite multipool?
I know we know it's an issue, and I'm beating a dead horse on this issue, but it eats away at my soul sometimes.
Just stirring the pot and seeing what people think.

Guldencoin Crossroads
The way I see things right now is that guldencoin devs doing work on something that is not going to benefit the coin against other coins who have more stable network. It has to be new algorithm to make it all worth it because it take too long to fix. I know it need to be done but it also prevents other advancements in guldencoin as devs keep all focus on algorithm change.
On positive side this last 2 month has shown how strong this community is who have added to Guldencoin, Don't get me wrong the updates still come fast but not from dev team and more from the users which is better as coin does not rely on team so much.
While the hashpower simulator may not be the algorithm change, it's a solid tool that I believe will be invaluable to the development of all coins, not just Gulden. Can you imagine how many struggling coins are going to test with this? I can see the concern of not actually coding an algorithm change(correct me if I'm wrong, and this is being worked on), as we could just use the testnet, but this will also help us figure out what is wrong with the current code. I for one am excited to test it out. The Criptoe team will probably use this extensively with our code testing. -Fuse

Tagmining is now upgraded to NOMP.The old server will be left up to clear 2 blocks that are pending, and then it will be brought down. Some info on the server:- I moved the pool to a data center in SE Asia- Singapore to be exact. It should be a more solid connection for people mining in Asia.
- Like the old server, this server mitigates DDOS attacks at the rack before it hits the server.
- No account info is needed, and therefor it can not be hacked in to. You use your wallet address for your user name and anything for the password.
- Payouts are PROP, and they are made as soon as the block confirms.
- Vital pool info can be found on the homepage. There are also API functions that can be found on the API page if you want to use them for your own calculations.
Connection info can be found on the connection page, but I will list it here as well, as the connection info will be moved soon. Username: your tagcoin wallet address Password: anything Connection addresses: (VARDIFF 32-128): stratum+tcp://Tagmining.com:3001 (VARDIFF 128-256): stratum+tcp://Tagmining.com:3002 (FIXED 256): stratum+tcp://Tagmining.com:3003 (FIXED 512): stratum+tcp://Tagmining.com:3004 (FIXED 1024): stratum+tcp://Tagmining.com:3005 If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me via PM. You can get these easy. Make a .edu email at that californiacolleges site, then fake a picture using Photoshop.
I went the californiacolleges route, but when everything was said and done, I got the possible 1 week wait notice. I won't pay more than what other people are selling these for. I can wait the week if I have to, I'm just trying to pull a deal if I can. -Fuse

Greetings, miners.
As a reminder, Tagmining will be coming down today to do a frontend/backend upgrade to NOMP. You have until 4PM PDT before the pool comes down, and transitions to the new servers. Please make sure you set your payout address and you initiate a payout to get your TAG.
Thanks,

It's a Guldencoin tattoo right! Always wanted one for Christmas! Yep. I'm just starting out with tattooing, and that is the actual image of the one I tattooed on myself. -Fuse Private keys on your private parts? Ouch I'm going to be cringing for the rest of the day. -Fuse
