701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 24, 2022, 03:46:54 PM
We are going to have a really competitive game tonight. Grizzlies are hosting Nets and it is going to be a game between two close teams. Nets are favoured by bookmakers to win this game but there is a very small gap. Nets have begun to improve their results a lot recently and this can help them very positively for this game. But Grizzlies are a quite solid team now. Especially Ja Morant has been very impressive so far. In his lead, Grizzlies can make big difficulties for Nets. But at the end, I think that Nets will be winning with the help of KD and Irving especially.

Ja Morant is expected not to play due to injury but the odds didn't move much because Grizzlies is still strong even without Ja Morant. Playing without Morant, Nets will have to take it as an advantage.

They should cover the handicap here or even win a game. Hard to make the game close when a team didn't have their superstar and Memphis are against superstars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

It will be a shame for the Nets if they will lose this game.

Grizzlies have dominated the Nets even though Ja Morant didn't play for the said injury but it's not a problem to them because the ball is shared well unlike the Nets who's play only relied to Irving and Durant and that's what they lack compared to the Grizzlies. Score 132-120 in favor of the Memphis Grizzlies.
702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 24, 2022, 09:00:25 AM
GGG vs Canelo would happen if the rumors are true, but they have to defeat their opponent first in their coming fight. As a fan, all I wish is to see a fight between the best of the best, and GGG vs Canelo is surely one of the best fights to see

Actually, that rumor is already not a rumor since likely it will really happen. But first, GGG and Canelo should win in their respective matches against Murata and Bivol. It's a big money fight that even Canelo is not interested anymore in a trilogy, he will accept the offer. It's also a big opportunity for him to silence the doubts that he won the 1st and 2nd matches. Canelo will now be able to seal who's the winner by defeating GGG for the last time.

But GG also has the same goal, to win. Although he's already 40 years at the time of the fight, let's hope that he will still give a difficult fight to Canelo who is currently in his prime.

Yup, the rumors have miraculously turned into a reality now because Canelo has been offered and signed a deal with Bivol and of course GGG is included in that deal, now he have no other choice now because he also needs to defeat Bivol. And yes, even if Canelo doesn't want the trilogy, he have the chance now to shut those critics for good and prove it for the 3rd time.

Yeah, when we thought that Canelo will not give any 3rd fight with GGG as he moves to conquer different weight classes, and we have heard that he will go as high as Light HW, comes this surprising news that he will fight Bivol first in May and then will have Canelo in September this year. Perhaps it was all about the money or he just simply wanted to silence his critics for good with a good and very compelling win in the third fight.

Both, the trilogy will surely give them a nice pay cut so I think it's still all about money even if he verbally said that money doesn't give him interest anymore in this trilogy and second is yes he wanted to shut the critics and doubts about the 2nd fight for good and prove that to the people that he is much more dominant than GGG.

This possible mega fight between the GGG and Canelo will be full packed and of course the pay cut will also be better but we already know that Canelo will have the bigger slice. I seriously thinks that the fight's fate is carried by GGG alone than Canelo because if he will be lost against the Japanese fighter then I think that the people wouldn't want to watch the trilogy anymore as it would really be clear that Canelo will win. What do you guys think?
703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: March 24, 2022, 06:51:55 AM

I think that's the most cases for those kid who were born rich, they're mostly sensitive because they've been spoiled since they born and maybe Ryan is one of them, that's why he's reacting like he was betrayed by Canelo and maybe that's the also reason why he revolt and find another one to train him.

Yes, he should definitely learn to be open to some criticisms and be used about the noise surrounding him because that's quite normal while you're moving up in the boxing industry.
Some people don't have guts to accept criticism - they are too sensitive what other people think and say about them .. To be honest if you want to be a real fighter ( Mentally and physically ) you have to stop giving importance to people's option. To me criticism is  healthy - one should listen to the criticism  - if it concerns you, take it otherwise leave it there and move on..

Right, there are those certain people who are like that and sensitive enough when they are criticized publicly and for Garcia's case, that's his weakness and he should work on that one well because someday one of his opponents will use that weakness to get in his head and that could result in defeat.

He should learn to how to accept it until he get used to it and only pick some few criticisms that could help mold his character.

Ryan Garcia with all his mental demons, is very sensitive at every criticism he will hear and get. Specially from someone who he treats as friend, Canelo goes to the public and reveal something that Garcia didn't like so obviously he moves out of that gym because now he doesn't feel being accepted. But then again, Garcia is still very young that's why he still has this kind of attitude, his mental attitude shows that he has a lot of things to learn from this sports and business.

He really felt backstabbed when Canelo have said and revealed something in public, Garcia may have been hurt badly because who knows he might looked up on Canelo as one of his closest friend that is supposed to help him along his career especially advice him in the years to come but I understand Canelo because I think he just did that to make him open his eyes more in this industry.

Ryan Garcia is still a kid who only knows how to defeat his opponents as soon as possible but for the business side and critics, he doesn't know that yet that's why he is still sensitive to some of it and especially when it comes from Canelo whom he admired so much.

Don't worry folks, the kid has still a long way to go in the business and sport industry, someday he will learn it.
704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Bitcoin wallet suddenly activates after 11 years on: March 23, 2022, 08:04:02 AM
The details of the dormant Bitcoin wallet was traced back to October of 2010 and since Satoshi Nakamoto was last active on bitcointalk.org in December of 2010, there is reason to believe that the Bitcoin wallet could be Satoshi's. Can you see how absurd is that reasoning? It is devoid of any logic. Where is the connection?

Anyway, I don't even believe this is a case of HODLing. I think this is simply a case of an old Bitcoin wallet finally recovered after many years.

It is most likely true as you said that it is indeed an old wallet that is now reopened. But the question is if it is a matter of holding is it possible that they have that many bitcoin holdings other than Satoshi Nakamoto's?

Anything is possible, it can be an old wallet that the hodler suddenly decided to move it or it's an old forgotten wallet that has been recovered recently after a decade and etc. We can continue to guess and speculate on it but in the end we can't be so certain that it was SN who have moved these bitcoins because they were also miners aside from the Founder.

If indeed it's Satoshi Nakamoto, let him/her be because he/she deserves it and it is really none of our business.
705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: March 22, 2022, 07:28:40 PM
Guys, this fight isn't going to happen, so we'll never know who's stronger. So there's no point in guessing. In any case, more people will vote for Mike Tyson as his fans are in every corner of the globe and his sporting career will be set as an example for many years to come in boxing schools.

I beg to disagree, Mike Tyson has been favored by a lot of people not just because they are his fans but they also literally know that Logan Paul can't possibly defeat the living legend here and yes there is exactly no point in guessing because we can literally tell who's side will win and that would be Mike Tyson.

But yeah, sadly this fight is just a hype.

I would rather agree with madnessteat - since we cannot verify the assumption, then there is no point in arguing.
By the way, how far does your confidence in Tyson extend? For example, in 10 years, will he still be the favorite against Logan (whose age, we assume, will not change in any way and he will remain in his current physical condition)?

By the way, this news is just in -

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/boxing/article-10640593/Mike-Tyson-reveals-demand-1BILLION-fight-Jake-Paul.html

It is not Logan Paul, but Jake Paul he wants to have a fight. But he is demanding about 1B bucks in case the fight will happen. He said he has no money, so he's willing to do the exhibition fight and sign the contract.

I don't think they can achieve that amount as the known highest grossing PPV was Mayweather - Pacquiao generating $400M. So $1B for exhibition match? That's very far from happening during this pandemic and war crisis.

$1 Billion? That surely had me laughing Grin
That's insane and there's no way that they could come up with that huge amount or at least half of it. I guess that's just another way of Mike Tyson to tell the people and the delusional boxers that he's not interested in fighting in the ring anymore wether if it's professional or exhibition match. So if they can't get his demands so it's quite fair to say that the match is impossible.
706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be prepared on: March 21, 2022, 02:56:06 PM
No matter how high crypto coins go bear market is unavoidable it's just the way the market survives, many people are brainwashed with present market condition that they already forget what bear market is, no amount of money can stop bear market from happening, don't say I don't warn you be prepared.
Bullish and Bearish are something that will happen and can't be avoided, there is no coin that always goes up and up,
there will definitely be dumps and create new lower prices, because whales also need to eat, therefore we must follow the flow,
if dump then we must be prepared to buy and if pump then we must be prepared to sell, so easy .

Yes, bull season and bear season are inevitable and this phenomenon is really natural in the world of cryptocurrency, the only choice is deal with it. So a plan is really needed on how to go through every seasons so a loss can be avoided ahead and profits will be certain. Also, patience is needed especially in times like these that the market is red but see this situation as an advantage to earn more while the prices are low and wait until the market recovers again and reap your profits.
707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 21, 2022, 10:21:36 AM
People are speculating that Ugas will upset Spence and the others were also saying that Spence will defeat Ugas via KO.
If the crowd really speculate Ugas will win against Spence, surely bookies will listed the fight where Ugas is the favorited... but the fact he's an underdog. It means the crowd is still on Spence's side not Ugas.

I could accept the speculation Ugas will upset Spence, but I don't agree if Spence will won via KO as we know Ugas do have good defensive style.

Well the bookies have listed Spence as the favorite rather than Ugas but that doesn't mean that the favorite will always be the winner and the underdog will always be the one to lose.

What I meant is the other half of the crowd are speculating that Ugas will upset Spence and others are also speculating that Spence will defeat Ugas via KO, surely I haven't said that most of them are on Ugas's side like the what you've said.

And it is really okay that you don't agree about Spence winning via KO, were just here to make some speculations. Chance are chances, no matter how slim that chances are. I'm just saying Grin
708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: FURY vs WHYTE - CONFIRMED on: March 21, 2022, 09:32:33 AM
I seriously doubt that Tyson Fury will retire after the Whyte fight, maybe this is his way to promote this fight so that many boxing fans are going to watch and buy the ticket because this might be his last fight.

I doubt that also. It could be he wants to use it as media hype to raise excitement among the boxing fraternity. It is business strategy Fury is bringing up. But if he eventually retires after the Dillian Whyte fight people are going to call him a coward for avoiding AJ or Usyk. Fury may not want such a situation. He has to concentrate on this fight, beat Whyte and face AJ. His fight with AJ should be more interesting than what Whyte's fight will offer us.

IMO, Tyson Fury is just desperate to sell the fight because this fight have almost no hype and seems people aren't that interested on this fight because the picture is somehow already clear that he will win on this and that's also the same reason that's why he is saying that he will retire after his fight with Dillian Whyte but I really doubt that he will retire.
709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: March 21, 2022, 09:06:12 AM
GGG admit that he had sparred Murata in the pass,

Quote
"It did take place but that was a long time ago. It was not the pure sparring approach that he came to spar me. I learned during those sessions that Murata is a very serious fighter with a high boxing IQ," Golovkin said.

https://www.boxingscene.com/golovkin-sparring-i-learned-murata-very-serious-fighter-high-boxing-iq--164844

So he knows what he is up against, a serious fighter in Murata and he would have to travelled to his home town and beat him. So this is a very dangerous fight for GGG.

Oh really, they did that in the past? That's good because even it was just a friendly spar, they could already tell each others capabilities just like how GGG felt about Murata. I only know that Murata was always looking up on GGG and something he said that it's been an honor to get a fight with GGG. Nonetheless, the number still cannot lie and we definitely know that GGG has the advantage even if he's much older now.

It turns out that they did that in the past few years but there's no video surfacing in the internet about that light sparring they had, but yeah I think that really happened a while ago. Maybe that was the time that GGG was still in his prime and I think Murata is still amateur in the industry but I think he was already competing in olympics at that time.

I think so too, GGG still have those capabilities needed to defeat Murata in his own soil.

Yup, I think it doesn't mean a thing, it happen years ago so obviously there's a lot going after that fateful day. Murata become a champion, GGG remain on top of the 160 lbs division.

What's important is the fight at hand right now, GGG can't base any on those sparring, but the experience might be there and Murata will proved that he has better himself after that.

Yes, that isn't something that could highly affect their fight next month because that specific friendly spar was years ago as GGG said and surely a lot has already happened after a while now. Murata may proved his worthiness that he became a more much experienced and stronger but it won't mean that he will be successful in this match.
710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Hoard Bitcoin? on: March 20, 2022, 08:30:33 PM
If Bitcoin is a better and higher currency than fiat, why then do bitcoiners hurdle it?
I think money is best used for buying and selling not hoarding, we get to see the value more when using it.
This my thoughts, wby?

Fiat currencies are designed that way and to use it on daily basis, not for hoarding it because its value is deprecating yearly because of inflation. While bitcoin may be more volatile than fiats but its value is increasing as time goes by because its supply is only limited rather than fiats whos supply is increasing yearly and that's also the reason why bitcoin is good to hoard or save it.
711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 20, 2022, 08:03:31 PM
Playing on stressful surrounding will totally give you an awkward feeling so best for him to be traded since hes not really fit on Lakers system and might he can play more better on different team.
That's the real reason, if he is not fit, then they should not force the issue, trade him and acquire another player that could fit to the Lakers system. Maybe John Wall would be a good answer for that, I'm sure Lakers will find it interesting to trade Westbrook for John Wall.

I preferred the young bloods like Kyle Kuzma to be with them once again since they are good before. Westbrook is still a food player, Bron just need to give him some space to do his things and have a proper team work. Westbrook game style is very greedy same with Bron to be honest that’s why they are not effective when they are together in the court. They need to talk and give way to each other to fixed the current struggling Lakers, They just made there first win again after there lose streak.

True, Lakers gave up the LA Lakers shooters in exchange for Westbrook, they lose in that trade for sure although Wizards also struggling this season. Expect for a big news next season as I have a feeling that Westbrook won't be given another season with the Lakers.

Indeed, Lakers has made a very risky move way back when they let go 5 of their key players just for Westbrook alone because he was a so called superstar with the hopes that the franchise could be a hard to beat in the league this season but later on, turns out that they definitely lost the trade. It was a really bad idea letting Alex Caruso go, the man is much more effective and did contribute more than WB.
712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: March 19, 2022, 04:41:40 PM
If you think like this there's a lot of money to be made because the majority seems to think that Tagoe has slim chance of winning. I don't know him and his style so I can't say much but I'm sure people who know much more than me are taking these bets.

Nothing wrong to place a bet on the underdog as upset always happened but can't really find a good reason why an upset will happen here. Not saying Tagoe doesn't have a chance to win or as you said, a slim chance of winning but technically, Ryan Garcia is just too much for Tagoe.

But let's see if there's something special that might others a reason why a bet on Tagoe is worth placing for.

In the end, he won't be considered to fight Garcia if there's a question about his capability to win.

Tagoe's chance on defeating Garcia here is somehow slim, we know that upsetting the heavy favorite happened is always possible as it already happen often times in the boxing but just like you, I also don't see that it will going to happen in this fight. Tagoe is good and a decent boxer too, we can see it in his history and I think that's the exact reason why Garcia's camp have picked him.

Tagoe will be a ladder in Garcia's success and the risk is of a defeat is quite minimal. But for the other bettors that is somehow expecting an upset in this fight then try throwing some couple of dollars for Tagoe, the odds is too tempting too.
713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 19, 2022, 03:26:27 PM
I also certainly believe that this Mavericks could stop the Sixers but based on the spreads, I'm not quite sure that they can cover it well even if it's just -3 spread. You know, every .5 spread counts so I'll probably do sime live betting on this game.

Mavericks are the underdog in this game. Looks like Embiid will play because the Sixers are currently at -3.5, so if you really trust the Mavericks to win, just take the moneyline and enjoy the game.

Yes, I did bet on Sixers just a few hours away before the game starts and I'm quite glad that I've mad that bet even though I was not too certain at that time. The game was good but the Mavs cannot take on Embiid as he dominates them in the 2nd half, Luka only made 17 points for playing 30mins+ in the game today.

Tomorrow, I'll bet on the Mavericks -1.5 as they will have a back to back game in the Hornets home, this time they are the favorite and they will definitely bounce back here.

715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 19, 2022, 01:24:35 PM
Errol Spence Jr was supposed to be the original opponent of Manny Pacquiao right and ended up with Yordenis Ugas which where he lost. This could be an interesting match I think Yordenis has a higher chance of winning since I was looking at previous match of Pacquiao and Spence Jr. I see that Pacquaio has an advantage but losses to Ugas so there's a high possibility that Ugas will win the match.
Absolutely. Ugas has successfully beats Pacquiao. So I think Errol Spence will be a big losser of this match.  If Ugas prepare well and be sharp, good footwork and throw more punches, Eroll will be in trouble.

That's what makes this fight very interesting to see because Spence here is supposedly the first opponent of Manny Pacquiao but later on Spence withdraw from the fight due to some eye issues, IIRC. After the withdrawal, Ugas has been selected as his replacement but later on Ugas won via UD against Pacquiao with just a short notice and short time to prepare for the fight.

Now, Ugas will fight Spence and again he is the underdog. People are speculating that Ugas will upset Spence and the others were also saying that Spence will defeat Ugas via KO.
716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 19, 2022, 12:52:52 PM
The only thing left is that he will defeat Butler next month so that he can fully rest after acquiring the said viral disease.

No rest is needed for him, with the long gap of time before this match, I think he already rested a lot. I like to see him be busy contacting the camp of Inoue to schedule a fight because people are tired of speculating, they want to see a big fight in this boring weight class.

Yes, I think he already got some good rest for more than a month after he had that viral gastritis and was hospitalized last December. You know as an athlete or professional boxer like Casimero their body has been developed to conquer diseases like that in just a small amount of time, so I guess that should be enough because otherwise he wouldn't be training now for this upcoming fight if his body cannot handle it.

Well I hope that Inoue vs Casimero fight will happen this year sometime in 3rd or 4th quarter of the year and hopefully Bob Arum will agree.
717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: March 18, 2022, 05:41:19 PM
The undefeated Garcia should have made 2021 his year. While Garcia should get the job done, this fight is about Garcia getting his rhythm back and showing everyone that his mental health issues and his hand injury are water under the bridge.

I have also not seen anything negative about his physical injury issues in the last months. Joe Goossen has really contributed to getting Ryan Garcia back on his legs and back in the ring. He is a really good trainer.

The fight against Emmanuel Tagoe will defintely be the start of something special for Garcia.

Exactly! This fight is just a comeback to show the whole boxing world and industry that his issues are just minor and there's nothing to worry about it. We cannot forget that this is just an interim fight before Garcia faces Kambosos Jr. and in the same manner, there's some huge reasons why Garcia's camp and Golden Boy Promotions have choosen Tagoe despite that the latter have some good and decent experience in his career.

I share the same point of view with you mate.

This fight is just all about Garcia to make his name good again after all the rest he did and that he's in perfect shape either mentally and physically and of course to redeem his name again from his match against Cambell because even if he won last time, he was also was knocked out. We don't know why they picked Tagoe as his interim fight but I know there's a reason behind it, after all their goal is to defeat Kambosos Jr.
718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 18, 2022, 04:50:44 PM

I got my eyes on the Dallas Mavericks vs Philadelphia 76ers game, the latter is the favorite. Any thoughts on this game? I'll be glad to hear some opinions before betting.

I love the home team here but I would not put my bet now because Embiid is listed as questionable, I have to make sure that he will play.
https://www.libertyballers.com/2022/3/17/22983947/joel-embiid-questionable-mavericks-luka-doncic-sixers-nba

Live betting will do, but if he will play, then you know what's it gonna be.

____________

Do you have picks as well, I mean, the other game?

I will go for Dallas Mavs with or without Embiid on this game. Luka Doncic performance is consistent base on there previous games while they have a reliable starting 5 that consistently contributing in terms of points and defense. Dallas current roster is very balance which is what I’m always looking for a perfect team to bet since they put less stress to the main scorer by playing there individual role properly. While on 76ers they are highly dependent to Embiid and Harden which is there weakness once both players is not in the good shape in the game.

I guess I will follow your pick as I like your analysis.

Yes, Dallas are so consistent lately, and they also beat good teams like the Nets, so Sixers should not be an exception.
We also see the Nets route the Sixers in one game, I guess that was a 29 points win by the Nets, so it's possible that the Mavericks could also drop a hammer on them.

Last 10 games.

Sixers 7-3
Mavericks 8-2

Yup, he certainly got some keen eyes to analyze such things about these teams and he definitely made a point.

Based on the recent stats on their last 10 games, the Mavericks will somehow dominate the Sixers but I bet that this will also be a tough game. I also certainly believe that this Mavericks could stop the Sixers but based on the spreads, I'm not quite sure that they can cover it well even if it's just -3 spread. You know, every .5 spread counts so I'll probably do sime live betting on this game.
719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 18, 2022, 03:41:28 PM
I think this fight is quite unfair, isn't it? Canelo is busy preparing for this fight with no distractions while Bivol on the other side is also preparing but his mind is thinking on his homeland where his family is living. I for one believes that Canelo will win this fight but I just also want that Bivol can have some concentration in training without some distraction.

You have a point but they are a professional boxer and they also have signed a deal that the provided match schedule will be observed on time, so Bivol here don't have a choice but to fight Canelo even if he is mentally distracted about his family who is in the middle of chaos right now because if he won't follow the deal then I'm afraid that his career will be at stake and might be over.

He cannot take that as an excuse he is a professional boxer, he should train and fight like a professional boxer his country is not under siege he should not worry at all, in fact, he should be motivated to win because he has given a chance to fight the number one pound for pound and a win will catapult his career to a new height, this is his biggest fight and a fight that will define his career.

While you're true about that, I think we cannot take away Bivol's anxiousness towards his family because Russia is also in an imminent danger as the said country could be retaliated in any given time by other opposing countries who supports Ukraine and even if he's a professional boxer, he is still a normal human being. I'm just saying that everything is possible during the war.

Despite all these issues, I do also believe that this fight will belong to Canelo and Bivol here cannot possibly upset him, but if ever Bivol will then his career would be soaring high and Canelo will surely want a rematch.
720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 18, 2022, 02:51:05 PM
If hope is no longer with Kyrie, better to bring Curry and Simmons to help Durant.

Durant and other Nets players shouldn't rely on Simmons' help. There are rumors that Ben hopes to play only a couple of games in this regular season, although I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't play at all. Even if Ben decides to return during the playoffs, it will be pointless because he won't have time to adapt after such a long break.

I'm with you on that opinion mate, I will highly discourage the idea of relying on Simmons if I were in that team or in the management. Instead, they should just focus and work more on their present active roster because that would be more reasonable. Ben Simmons are full of rumors since he did some nonsense to his former team and that kind of image will remain.

I reckon Simmons still haven't able to practice or do some shootouts with the rest of the team and that's an another reason why he is unreliable, his presence is still a mystery to the team as they still did not know if he could really fit into their system.
