701  Economy / Economics / Re: Life is cheaper with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general on: November 18, 2023, 12:29:41 PM
You're spot on, OP. It's very obvious, except for those who've refused to realize that inflation has a way of dealing with fiat. This isn't the case with Bitcoin and that's because Bitcoin (from its angle as an asset) increases in value. It's not advisable to pile up cash in the bank as savings. The best thing to do is swap the cash for Bitcoin every pre-halving year and then wait till a post-halving year to reap the maximum dividends. As for inflation bitten countries like mine, those in cryptos in these countries who've swapped their fiat stand a double chance of earning both ways – the exchange angle and the rise in Bitcoin value. So, it's a win situation to keep funds in Bitcoin than in banks.
702  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Avoid trading crypto in real person. You can see this now on Binance. on: November 18, 2023, 07:14:15 AM
You can now trade bitcoin and other crypto with other local traders on Binance and you will meet at a particular place that both of you talked about.
Why would anyone even contemplate doing that, in the first place? The reason we don't know who Satoshi is till date should hit anyone why they shouldn't compromise their privacy. That's one. The second thing why I wouldn't touch the F2F thing, even with a long pole, is the lack of convenience it provides. Leaving my home to meet up with anyone for business transactions is a stress to me. I can only indulge such when it's the last resort. I like online transactions. I can't even remember the last time I walked into a bank to do my transactions. ATM transactions are also beginning to bore me too. So, with one trying to get all of that out of the way, why would one then subscribe to a face to face crypto deal that preaches much privacy? It doesn't make sense at all.
703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some rich person not interest about bitcoin for following reason on: November 17, 2023, 05:08:17 PM
~snipped~
Also I think some of them creating a service that helped in the popularity of Bitcoin like Cz launching an Exchange (that no matter how we don't like him, he has helped in the popularity of the currency).
Hehehehe... It's really soothing, reading that from your masterpiece. You know how our discussions (in divergent views, of course) on CZ always went 😏. Sincerely, what you said there is the undiluted truth. The services these people have created around Bitcoin helped to further deepen its publicity. Whether we like it or not, CZ remains a force to reckon with in cryptos. We can say his exchange and other crypto creation of his are centralized and shouldn't be trusted but this is Binance's 6th year in this industry and still waxing strong. CZ looks like one who's capable of breaking more grounds in years to come. He isn't done yet.
704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eloncoin will be massive. on: November 17, 2023, 08:09:18 AM
He's not and he never will be.
Well, I wouldn't say "he never will be" interested or involved in such a project. Change is a constant thing in life and we've seen Elon Musk in some instances in the past change his mind on his Bitcoin investment, selling off earlier than he had promised to hodl. Again, Elon is human like any other man. He can review his decisions from time to change due to available information at his disposal. Nonetheless, this isn't a call from me to people to invest in this project because it could be linked to Elon. Nope, far from it. My point here is that we can't say of a certainty what people are capable of, especially when we don't live in the same space with them.

As a celebration bonus, we gifted an extra $20 to everyone who reached a weekly minimum.
Oh yeah! There I was thinking I got over paid. Thanks, BestChange. Felicitations to the green fam! We rock!
706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tricky situation for Altcoin investment on: November 14, 2023, 04:38:19 PM
Please share your opinions on common mistake newbie makes when market trends upward.
Most of these mistakes have been enumerated by members above me. I read through and some of them made me nostalgic. There's that innocence that comes with ignorance and old timers like us passed through them. Now that I look back, I can only suppress a chuckle at such level of ignorance I had. The top on the list was me thinking and assuming that those tokens (didn't even know the difference then between tokens and coins) in cents and hundred miles away from cents in zeroes would rise like Bitcoin or at least get to ETH or its classics 😂. Anyway, most of them performed well and gave nice ROI but they soon died off as soon as the bull season was over. I held many, hoping they would max out and turn my little $10 to $1000. The ambition was that crazy. I hedl and couldn't sell when price started dipping. I know many will fall into that same trap once the real rally kicks in.
707  Economy / Reputation / Re: Recently woke up asking for a loan on: November 14, 2023, 01:27:16 PM
But the user has failed all of these as the user woke up recently. Who knows if the account has been sold or not?  However, the possibility of being hacked is too low as the user had not created any post regarding the hack.
You should've gone a step further to put a neutral tag on such user (as a reg tag will be an overkill) to warn others, seeing how some of them have been defaulting on loans. I read your story with Edwardard, all what transpired and it saddened me. As for ~money~, their poor attempt is very evident of the scam they intended carrying out. An account that was last active in May 2021, only to wake up in October 20, 2023 and the first thing they deemed fit was to ask for a loan after over two years of absence. The user didn't just ask for a loan but a $800 loan. That's ridiculous. If the borrower's intention wasn't bad, why did they cease to post again after the loan demand was made. The answer is obvious.
708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it still risky to Invest into Altcoin now? on: November 14, 2023, 01:05:24 PM
What's your opinion ? Shall we invest or just involve in quick trades ?
If you're still delaying investing now, you're likely going to chase price soon. Now is a fair time to get in, whether in Bitcoin or alts. Don't be scared to get involved, especially in alts. Just make sure they're alts with vision and utility. We never can be too careful as not to risk anything at all. This is business. It's populated with risk. Only those who risk it will profit from the eventual bull run. Yesterday, all the tokens on the Bluezilla launchpad pumped very hard that they all doubled up on price and some did more than half of their prices, just because BZ announced there would be an IDO soon across all its launchpads.

So, position yourself now if you aim to get a nice ROI.
709  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is it difficult for people to get capital easily? on: November 14, 2023, 08:26:45 AM
I came to discovered that, there are many opportunities all over the world for people to embrace by investing some huge amount of money on a particular business and start living a big man life in the country.
Those who've this (terrible) mindset before starting up a business hardly succeed. The reason bring that they will start living that lavish lifestyle from the proceeds of their business without compounding it to nurture their business. Develop a passion for the business you want to run and not aim at living large on it.

I was in their shoes before when I was in school some years ago before I became a graduate, and anytime I made demand of anything from my elder brother and sister they must respond to me well by sending the money and food stuff when I was in school, and the day they refuse to respond to me, I will be seriously angry with them not to pick their calls or reply their chat at the moment until they look for way to solve my problem.
Family is good but you also have to realize that you should be able to grow your business above bankruptcy by ploying your profit into your business too. Otherwise, both your family and the business you intend to set up will suffer or you won't be able to raise enough cash to set it up. Be calculative and not emotional in business decisions.
710  Economy / Reputation / Re: Forum Loan defaulters: What is the best way forward? on: November 14, 2023, 08:00:57 AM
Frankly, I feel for Shasan. I saw that thread about him of Edwardard. Here's a member who's trying to run a genuine business but they're getting battered by those with evil intention not to reciprocate his kind gesture. It's heartbreaking to lose money to criminals whom you think need genuine help, not knowing their game plan is to scam you.

what I will like to suggest is that if possible lender should try to confirm from the manager who is managing their campaign to know how long it would last...
You can bet that most managers don't know how long the campaigns they mange will last. Sometimes, they're told it's a three-week campaign but it stretches into months and years and sometimes the reverse is the case.

...this should be based on your account rank, for full members $100 to $150 max, for Sr. member $150 to $300 max, then for Hero/legendary $300 to $600.
I like the rank panacea to the whole thing with a loan structure that will best suit the lender. Yes, I know it's going to affect genuine low ranked members who may need higher amount of cash. Anyway, it's what it's. Lenders have to find ways to defend their businesses before retards run them out of business.
711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin looking like sleeping gigant in this bull run season on: November 14, 2023, 05:39:47 AM
In my experience whenever you see Litecoin pumping it means the top is in the crypto market. I noticed this a few years back.

I think the way it works is bitcoin tops and the money flows into alts like Litecoin, then Litecoin pumps and usually it tops and the whales get into stables or fiat and it’s the top of the cycle.

So you don’t want Litecoin Pumping right now.
It's interesting to look at it from that perspective, which I never thought of. Yes, if that's it I wouldn't what its top to come up now. Let's enjoy the moment without it for now. I will join you to make my observation and see how it goes this bull season. For now, all I can say is that I'm indeed disappointed at its price. I also bought a few of it a few days to its halving but got the shock as price started declining immediately after halving till date it hasn't even crossed $90. I was thinking it would follow the path of Bitcoin that blossoms once its halving comes up.
712  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know how to use Fundamental and Technical Analysis on: November 13, 2023, 08:40:32 PM
In all honesty, I think there's a third that should be added to Fundamental and Technical Analyses. It should be Manipulative Analysis. While I advise that Fundamental and Technicals (I love TA) should be a must-to-know for everyone trading and wanting to be successful, traders should also know that's not all there's to trading the market. Sometimes the technicals and fundamentals can align but trades won't go that way and that's because there's manipulation somewhere. I know that FA rules in cryptos more than TA where the market reacts instantly to news even when TA is saying the opposite. This can't be said to be so in Forex Trading where news can be positive and TA is positive but market will go the opposite direction just to clear Stop Losses out. That's manipulation and that has to be studied and mastered too.
713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You Think Staking is the Perfect Passive Income Strategy in a Bull Market? on: November 13, 2023, 03:36:53 PM
So what do you think guys? Is staking the perfect passive income strategy for the bull market, or are there nuances we should consider?
I don't know if there's any advantage derived from staking in a bull run over doing it in a bear season. In the not too distant past, I used to have this same mindset of yours until I tasted the bitterness that's occasioned by staking. K-Root, KCLP and one other token that I can't remember now, taught me a bitter lesson as they wound up their sites and all that I staked went with them. While the staking on those sites lasted, I enjoyed it. I got some profit but the manner it ended was heartbreaking for me. Yes, quite correct that one can earn passively but there's no guarantee that the site and the coins won't disappear into thin air overnight.
714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and misinformation on: November 13, 2023, 01:57:12 PM
Right now most people are like me years back, they are totally misinformed about Bitcoin, the best I do for them right now is to educate them about it, which some even told me what they think Bitcoin was, which is totally untrue about it.
Yeah, this situation in the disparity of everyone not being on the same page goes to buttress that aphorism in my (our) community – Whenever one wakes from their slumbers is their morning. You've to understand that there are also many that won't catch the drift even as you're trying to make them understand what Bitcoin is ATM until when the scales literally fall off their eyes. Those I won't bother wasting my time talking to about Bitcoin are those who won't even bother to try it out. It's a waste of precious time. Just move on. They will catch on at their own time and become the late bloomers we've in every discovery.
715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin OGs, Can We Please Practice What we Preach? on: November 13, 2023, 10:50:28 AM
Many of us, the Bitcoin OGs are quick to advice newbies to get a hardware wallet, that it is the best way to hold bitcoin and other supported crypto assets securely, but coming back to ourselves, many of us don't do the same, probably out of over confidence in ourselves that our wallet can never be hacked due to our already vast knowledge in crypto.
That attitude cuts across. An OG here who's always advising members to invest only in Bitcoin once opened up to me when I chatted him privately and wanted to know why he was investing only in Bitcoin while he could add some credible alts in his investment. Dude shocked me by telling me he was also investing in alts. He was merely fronting in the forum and wanted everyone to see him as a maximalist. Such habit, just like that of the victim in your post is pretentious and deceitful.

Also hardware wallet or probably all cold wallet isn’t just the problem but also how we back up our seed phrase or keys. Even with hardware wallet if you don’t store your seeds properly it will still be needless.
Exactly the same disposition I've concerning this hardware wallet thing. The way many talk about it like it's infallible. Security and safety of our funds depend largely on us than on any device.
716  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Loan defaulted by [Edwardard] on: November 13, 2023, 02:58:49 AM
I have supported the flag.

I guess things are not fine with @Edwardard family. I remember they managed campaigns previously and seeing the inactivity on the forum it is evident they were unable to gather the money from campaign and pay the loan back.
Definitely, all isn't well with the user. They were once a valuable member of this forum with several managed campaigns under their belt. Then, they started struggling to get campaigns to managed and began to enroll as participants in others campaigns.

However, whatever happened, Edwardard was supposed to have continued to keep in touch with OP and made every indication that they would repay the loan. $1,000 isn't chicken feed. It's a substantial amount of cash. To even think they ignored OP in all channels he tried to reach out to them while they were last seen in the forum in October points to one thing – deliberate attempt not to respond to OP.

Quote
Praying for the remote possibility that they are able to solve these issues and come back clean to the forum.
I doubt they would, especially now that their account has been destroyed with tags.
717  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I need your contribution and opinion on: November 12, 2023, 06:53:54 PM
I have a little knowledge but I need a guide. Bought some cryptocurrency like XRP and Bitcoin. Currently people only talk about Bitcoin but the price is very high for me to afford investing in it. I don't know why I feel like it's the only cryptocurrency worth investing and I would love to try  but am still learning gradually about it.
Perhaps why almost everyone is hammering on Bitcoin investment is because it's the surest of the pack not to disappear into thin air. If you talk of great ROI, Bitcoin won't give as much as some of the altcoins will give within a space of two years but it's the only coin one can buy and go to sleep with both eyes firmly closed. There's a reason Bitcoin is often recommended to newbie investors and that's to keep them away from heartbreak that will arise from loss. Talking about XRP, just be careful. It's the only top altcoin from way back in 2017 till date I've refused to buy and hodl. There's something about it I don't like.
718  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] BestChange Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ on: November 12, 2023, 06:29:57 PM
This is another alignment of the stars and it’s not the BestChange campaign’s fault, it’s just that the mempool is overloaded again. Will wait.
The congestion is easing off now as fees are beginning to drop. I just checked now, it's at 78 sats per byte as against 424 it rose to a few days ago. It's crazy whenever this mempool congestion happens.
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Doge coin everly hit $1? on: November 12, 2023, 04:44:29 PM
I don't want it to get to $1! Never, ever 😏

Anyway, joking apart, I know my wish may not come to pass as it's more likely to hit $1 this incoming bull run than miss it. My anger is that I hedl Doge for four years only to sell off my huge stack of it in 2021 and it spiked to its ATH two weeks after I did. It hurts, really, till date.

At $0.7+ ATH, it's just a matter of $0.3 to hit $1. I don't think that should be an uphill task for Doge to achieve. Just imagine what effect Elon's tweet will have on Doge if the money bag and risk taker announces that it will become the official payment option for all his X transactions. It's going to be huge and it will easily zoom pass the $1 level in a blink.
