Good promotion. Now salus is 5x from last month so its too risky to get in.

Thank you for the expert analysis.

LOL @ this...

I myself feel like picking up some more SLS. I feel like it will do MUCH better in the near future, and BURST is going to help with this. Smiley

Good job Kushed, pm me if you'd like to join our private chat. Smiley I would be honored.

I am trying to change servers. I am updated to 1.2.6.  When I try to change I get this error: {"errorDescription":"recipient account does not have public key","errorCode":8,"requestProcessingTime":10}.  I am trying to change to pool.burstcoin.biz.  Any ideas?

You should join us on BURST forums, http://forums.burst-team.us and ask this question.

However, I can tell you, judging by the response of the network, you have not done an outgoing tx on your account yet. Go ahead and set a name for you wallet, or send coin anywhere, do anything that requires 1 coin outgoing, and this will go away.

if you need coins, go to the new faucet (link in the windows UI, or http://faucet.burstcoin.info or others) to get some coin, THEN make an outgoing tx.

This will solve the issue.

Any further questions, propose them to the forums.burst-team.us and one of the team or community will gladly answer your question.

Also, this is the OLD OP. There is a new one at...

-[ANNouncement]- BURST.nina pool downtime - wallet maintenance

We have to take burst.ninja pool down due to a wallet issue, feel free to move over to one of the other pools...

http://pool.burst-team.us

http://pool.burstcoin.biz

http://pool.burstcoin.eu

the outage shouldn't be too long, just long enough for the wallet to resync the chain, it was having some sticking issues, so a fresh resync is prescribed fix.

Thanks!

COMPLETE - Thank you H for the quick turnaround time!

A portion of the roadmap, in grahpic form.

Soon much more to be added.

Any RAM?

I'll take 2 sets of the AMD board/CPU combos I think. At the very least one.

If you have any RAM or GPUs let me know, and I think I'll take 3x risers.

Yea, 2x AMD board/CPU and 3x risers.
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Burstcoin [BURST] Price Speculation on: August 10, 2016, 10:17:45 PM
@crowetic You've talked about the Decentralize your world campaign and BURST being the source for decentralize file storage.  Sia has already done this yesterday and have released their wallet as well.  Sia is coming out of Beta after 12 months.  One thing to notes is their price structure for the service as well. BURST will need to take note of this in order to be competitive.

Also Storj is working on encrypted decentralize file storage as well.  In fact these guys are already up and running: https://storj.io/

Here is the link to the Sia Bets Release article http://bravenewcoin.com/news/decentralized-cloud-storage-sia-launches-version-1-0-with-full-functionality/.  Your comments and thoughts on this please.

Right, there will be some major differences between SIA's setup and ours, including a completely new algo not yet released (also not PoC2.)

The direction we're leaning right now, is not yet ready to be public, but I can tell you that it is a more power efficient setup than SIA, and is something that no one else has currently.

Also, our algo for the storage, will be even more secure than simply encrypted. Therefore there is absolutely no way for anyone to be blamed if somehow content that is not appropriate, ends up being stored there, though that will be against the agreement obviously.

More detail will be soon to come, but I think we'll absolutely have a good chance at giving SIA a run for their money in competition.

-[IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT]-   MOVE OFF POOLS RUNNING OLD WALLET VERSIONS! -DEVPOOL V2 IS ONE OF THESE

As stated above, it is very important that people DO NOT MINE ON POOLS RUNNING 1.2.3. This could potentially be causing some of the remaining network issues that we're seeing.

Please, if you're mining on dev pool V2, or any pools running 1.2.3, move off of them!

There are plenty of new pools out running the right versions.

Hello Burst Team and Community,

Can someone help for 1 min?

Could anyone please point me in the right direction in regards to finding a BURST high resolution logo?

I will add some BURST apparel to www.CryptosCloset.com

Already have quite a few coins on there and wanted to add BURST asap to the inventory selection.

This will allow anyone to purchase BURST gear with Crypto Currency via CoinPayments.com shopping cart plugin and by Paypal / Credit Card!

Thanks!

I just read the post of crowetic. This is the great things for me today. Now QORA 's price is increased already. Thank so much for crowetic and Dev.team

This is just the beginning..More things will follow suit

Soon, QORA will take over ETH/ETC and have a $1B marketcap...Smart contracts are so exciting

Lol always enjoy to read Fantasy story's, a increase oke, maybe 100 sat one day but come one overtake ETH lol.

ETH's big selling point was Smart Contracts, but both Qora and Burst had it actually working before Ethereum were even off the ground.  The only reason they've got the higher market cap is better publicity.  In terms of features and utility, there's actually no reason why Qora shouldn't be worth just as much.

Plus, Ethereum, as far as I'm aware, doesn't have ACCT support, so unlike Qora and Burst, it will have to be developed much further before it can do Atomic Cross Chain Transfers between ETC/BTC.  Both QORA/BTC and BURST/BTC without the aid of a third party exchange is much closer on the horizon.

CONTACTS! Some big whales and other guys with a lot of influence are invested in ETH and not in Qora.

Anyhow... i like qora much more than ETH!

Idd

ETH has the support of wall street and is too big too fail.

QORA/BURST has the support of nerds living in their parents basements

WallStreet has nothing on us. Except massive corruption, that is.

Also, I don't know about you, maybe you live with your parents still, but I personally run multiple companies, and have not lived with my parents since I was 17, and neither does anyone else on our team.

Pretty funny assumption though, but I think it would be quite funny if it WERE true, because I have no doubt that we'll overtake the ETH in the future. May take some years, but we're in this for the long haul, so we have the time.

The difference here, is that our team is fully honest, and has integrity not to sell out to the gov or large corporations, and to do things the RIGHT way whatever the cost. This difference, is what will make us shine, and people see how things are done when being done in the 'correct' fashion.

Feel free to continue trolling if you'd like, but I would suggest you get off that train and hop on the one that will end up making you a lot more money and giving you bragging rights being in the community of the coins that changed the future.

No, I'm not just talking, I truly believe this. The setups that we already have, with some tweaking and development, definitely have the potential to come out WAY above the rest, and not just in terms of value, but in terms of overall functionality, security, and integrity.

The decentralized hosting of QORA will play a major role in the redesign of the internet as a whole, making the risk of hacks go much lower, and the costs of everything diminished drastically as well, while at the same time providing a way for even the most low powered of computers or phones to help secure the network and get paid for that.

The future we have planned is a very bright one, leading the way to spectacular decentralized applications and security deep seeded within everything. Long gone the days of centralized services being hacked, or products being released with known flaws allowing for explots to steal investor money (i.e. ETH.)

Once the world realizes the fact that our system is not only stronger, and more functional, but also future proof and ahead of the rest in terms of the way the chains are secured, and how services are provided... That will be all it takes to get the price on each of these undervalued coins to where they should be. Make the investors happy, and also begin to show how a truly decentralized and low-fee network can be run, proving our theories and giving people options they have never had before, even in countries that don't make as much money.

The future is now, it needs to be, or I really fear for what comes next. Thank you all for your active participation, and I look forward to making the non believers into believers, and the believers into wealthy ones Wink

Still no current roadmap.

The stage is set with current QORA, and the only issue I'm seeing aside from lack of community support in staking, is the ease-of-use factor is very low (meaning QORA isn't that easy to figure out currently...)

Hi there, great to hear some news on the project.

On the lack of staking support, well in my experience the wallet just wont sync. I run other wallets 24/7, some are a hassle to setup and sync, but after a few configs they run just fine to the day.

Qora just wont keep in sync, Ive tried setting up on Linux and Windows VPS with no luck. I got tired of installing it over and over again, waiting days to get it to sync, just to see that a couple of hours later if will be offline. But after reading that theres no staking support, I guess Im not the only one with the same issues.

If the dev team can work on this issue I for sure will be staking nonstop. thanks

In my experience I've not had any issues with the wallet sync'ing, but if you are having this issue, I will bring it up tomorrow in the meeting and find out what we can do to get you logging the errors so the team can take a look.

My wallet though, has been sync'd and staking for quite some time with no issue. The stake rate seems quite low though, so I think that could be a reason not many people are staking. But we have solutions for this already planned that we'll be presenting to the community shortly. Smiley

Absolutely right, we're much further ahead than ETH is actually, not to mention our ATs will be proven to be solid when we do our hacker challenge. Once this is proven, and our ATs are proven to be more secure than ETH, this is when we'll announce the fact that the same tech is being used to build a fully decentralized exchange. (Announced to the world that is, seeing as everyone here already knows about it. Wink)

Any updates on the dev?

Iam sure we will see some significant announcement during the next 48hours.

The dev team is working hard right now on quite a few areas, including a fully decentralized exchange.

*snip*

the devs have showed me before, but they're off right now, and I wanted to have this new CF campaign started by the time we have our meeting on Tuesday.

It's good to hear of all the work going into Qora.

Which devs from the dev team will you be having a meeting with on Tuesday? Do you mean next Tuesday (tomorrow)?

Are we likely to see a significant announcement after the meeting like randombit said?

Yes, we are having a meeting on tuesday, as in tomorrow. In our encrypted voice server. In this meeting will be discussing more on the future of QORA and what will be worked on first.

As I said, we'll need to get the first CF campaign done, then we'll have a better idea of what the community thinks is the best option for direction first.

After the CF campaign, that is when we'll be announcing the significant announcements. We already have a pretty good idea of what we're going to do, but will also be taking some polls in either this or our forum regarding the ideas we have, and getting opinions from the community therein.

the CF campaign I was hoping to start today, but my lack of full knowledge of the wallet, and the lack of links in the wallet for many portions of the functionality, has made it difficult for me to locate the UI that was used to start the CFAT (Qrowdfund). So I will find out tomorrow in the meeting from the devs how to make this happen, and I assume we'll start the CFs tomorrow.

I think those will run for 4-6 weeks, as they will be very large, and we hope to have at least one of them filled, to give a good idea of which overall direction the community thinks is most important for development, promotion, design, etc.

I think some of the ideas that we have for the future will make people pretty excited, I believe. I for one, am very excited about the potential we have with the team we have and extensions of which being added as well.

-[ANNouncement]- New Pool by Adam Guerbuez

Hello everyone, I just wanted to point you all in the direction of a new pool that friend of BURST and promoter Adam Guerbuez has started.

We have given him a clone of the ninja coded pool (which we can do for others as well, but it isn't a simple process.)

The new pool needs miners, so jump in and show your support as a thank you for all of his help promoting BURST, and much more of that promo coming soon!

Thanks!

pool runs newest 1.2.6 wallets and is ready to go, currently running!

Hello community, just wanted to point out the CF that I started for CEO's work on the new OP.

Also, he will be doing more work for us in the near future, I just sent some more coin to the CF, would be great to see it get filled!

Thanks!

Still no current roadmap.

I've setup a site just like http://burst.press for QORA (http://qora.press) which will be the place of the new roadmap. It is currently not up, but I will post when it is.

First, however, we are going to be doing our CF campaign to get the opinions of the community as far as what they would like to see being focused on first.

I can tell you, that the ideas for 2.0 are really, really cool.

With QORA and BURST working together, making things easier to find and use inside QORA, and using the decentralized hosting and webRTC that is possible even now in QORA, you'll begin to see the start of what I'm calling the 'Decentralize Your World' campaign, in which we are looking to make multiple fully decentralized services on top of what we already have... and make the internet 2.0.

The stage is set with current QORA, and the only issue I'm seeing aside from lack of community support in staking, is the ease-of-use factor is very low (meaning QORA isn't that easy to figure out currently...)

What we will be doing, is an overhaul on this, making things easier to find and making services that are more secure, and totally decentralized, removing people's fear of hacking, and security holes.

QORA and BURST can already to direct transfers between eachother. Working on this tech, we will develop a fully decentralized exchange. This will prevent the exchange hacks that we're still seeing (i.e. bitfinex) and open the world up to a SECURE method of exchanging their coins.

A multi-chain system, shared services, and decentralization will make us an unstoppable force to be reckoned with.

BURST, and QORA, are two of the most advanced coins in existence, thanks to Automated Transactions (Smart Contracts by CIYAM) and the decentralized features offered already.

We will expand these features, and build services with them, that could also have businesses built on top of them.

The other issue, is that not many people know, that BURST was the first coin to have Smart Contracts, and BURST and QORA were the first to do a Cross Chain transfer with eachother. Now, with the invent of ClockTimeVerify in the BTC development, we are able to build ACCT transfers with BTC clones, this is what makes it possible to do a fully decentralized exchange, and what we are developing now, along with many other things.

I am not keeping this information away from the public, merely not saying things until we get more opinions from the community, as that is the way we like to do things, we want the people to help us build things by the people for the people. That is the new way of the world.

Soon, when Smart Contracts are mentioned, it is my goal to make BURST and QORA two of the most mentioned coins in the space.

BURST will be doing a demonstration, putting up at least 100 million BURST into a Smart Contract Crowdfund, and challenging the world to hack it. We know, that this isn't possible, but it will be a great thing to demonstrate to the world. We will be getting into many news sites, and showing as many people as possible, the power of our Smart Contracts, and the security.

This PR will also mention QORA, since the Automated Transactions system is the same, and the two coins are now working close together, as they should have been for a long time now.

When we have proven the legitimacy of our Smart Contracts, we will announce the development of our Decentralized Exchange, and more.

Thank you, and as soon as I get things structured on  my side here, I will be launching the multiple CFs...

They will be structured in multiple categories, to gauge the interest from the community in direction. When they have completed, more announcements will be made and polls will be taken, to get the direction down as far as the community and ourselves in the team are concerned.

The Qrowdfunds will seek a large amount of QORA, and hope to gain quite a bit of community participation, to help us in figuring out what the community thinks is important.

Also, using my promotional connections, and myself, I will be making videos on many different aspects of what QORA and BURST can do together, and posting them in many places.

Hopefully this gives a little teaser of what is to come, and people are sufficed with this until we can get the Qrowdfund campaign finished, and announce the rest of our plans, including taking the direction the community gives in the funding, into wholehearted consideration. Thank you and I truly look forward to getting to know this community better, and making some amazing things happen in the future!

This is the start of the changing of people's thinking, the start of the internet 2.0, and decentralization of all things. Welcome, and we hope you enjoy your time with us!

Iam sure we will see some significant announcement during the next 48hours.

The dev team is working hard right now on quite a few areas, including a fully decentralized exchange.

I will not get into the details yet until the CrowdFunds are launched and either successful or not, then we'll give the next steps for the future.

This is to rally the community and get their opinions via their coin, on the focus of the future.

As far as the tax goes, that is an option, but we'll see how things go.

I'm still getting myself familiar with the crowdfunding system, if someone would be so kind as to post a link to the CF page, that would be great, this is another thing I'm hoping to clarify in the wallet, making it much easier to find everything.

the devs have showed me before, but they're off right now, and I wanted to have this new CF campaign started by the time we have our meeting on Tuesday.

I'm sure I'll find it if I keep digging around, but a link would save me some time. Thanks!

Something wrong with the dev v2 pool? Currently on 259368 but my wallet shows 259390 :-(

I also wonder what's that crap with new wallet versions/fork?  Huh

Burstcoin.biz "official" download shows 1.2.3 as latest but block number differs from my 1.2.3 and balances are fluctuating. Poloniex even halted deposits and withdrawals. Dev V2 pool also seems to be running 1.2.3...

  Angry

I am not sure about this, but it seems the 1.2.3s are running their own version of the blockchain, and it is not the same persons getting the blocks.

my miners made some blocks on the 1.2.3 chain, but i have changed all of them now to use a 1.2.6 wallet.

The 1.2.6 has been running nicely here for some hours, and it seems to be fine.

one of the pc's could not generate the blockchain by itself due to cpu getting too hot. It seems the new wallet is more effective at using all cores, and that box is kinda heat sensitive at 100% cpu.  I built the blockchain on another pc and copied it over to the other ones.

I would advice not doing business at sites running 1.2.3 as there is a small chance that the transactions do not get picked up by the 1.2.6 network. Certanly do not do 1.2.3 mining, do not mine at pools still at 1.2.3, as the mined blocks and rewards to you are very likely to be refused by the 1.2.6 network.

When copying the burst database around, i have experienced that copying a database made with java64bit to an installation that is running java32bit (or the reverse) will give you all sorts of instabillity headaches.. it seems to work, but it breaks down over time.
We should all be on 1.2.6 but some pools are not. We also need to resync from scratch. This is my take. Is this correct?

resync from scratch on 1.2.6 yes, download the windows client from sourceforge https://sourceforge.net/projects/burstwindowswallet/

it contains 1.2.6

If you're not using windows, download the new wallet from github https://github.com/burst-team/burstcoin/releases/tag/1.2.6
