721  Economy / Economics / Re: Do cash control spending more than digital or crypto currency? on: August 08, 2022, 10:14:14 AM
One of the reasons for this could be the availability of different physical currency denominations. Back then I tend to spend less when I have my funds withdrawn in lower denominations but spent more when in higher denominations as it was like carrying small quantity of physical currency coupled with strong desire to spend most of them on a single outing. I think it should be replicated on digital currency wallets by making it possible for users to split their funds in different parts. They can focus on spending one part (which could also be split into multiple parts) while having the other part timelocked or locked with passwords until the spendable part is exhausted and/Or more money is needed from the locked funds.
722  Economy / Economics / Re: Congress' push to regulate Big Tech is fizzling out on: August 04, 2022, 05:28:03 PM
Well, there should be good rules guiding competition for the competition to be fair/good. You can simply tell the companies to give everyone the opportunity to participate but only recommend or rank them up based on their merits... Merits being how they have been able to solve the most important problems they seek to solve without creating much problems for people/society. We could consider problems here as "lowering of product/service quality that it becomes harmful or a problem to people/society. Usefulness, safety, speed of solving problems, the ease of use, affordability, efficiency, effectiveness etc, of your products can be part of the quality a ranking algorithm (for example) could consider before recommending or ranking them up.   This ranking method could be applied globally and no one who likes good thing would reject it and the companies won't use the threats of moving to other countries on governments that insist on the right rules. This should encourage people to create products that achieve the right quality  to have them ranked up and/or recommended accordingly to others... Highest quality should ranked top, followed by higher to high, and then low quality could be hidden. Ranking system can move as some sort automatic conveyor belt to different rankers (who can be anonymous) to  test and "tick/check" the quality part(like safety, efficiency, etc) they are trying to rank.

Governments and companies should encourage a Fair Competition bounded by good rules specified above to sure that the right products are available to people/society. It's the right thing to do.
723  Other / Meta / Re: How important are you on this forum? on: August 04, 2022, 03:19:58 PM
Are you important enough to have Theymos and forum members close to him comment on your threads (or quote your posts) to have positive conversations with you?
You don't have to be an important user to get replies from theymos, global moderators, staffs or legendary members. They will reply to your posts if your posts have something interesting to discuss.

It makes sense to discuss in an interesting topic with good question. This topic is not a good one and it is like a spam.

Is it then opposite of Good = bad? If bad, what makes it bad?
I hope you understand the meaning of spam in order to be becareful, perhaps you are accusing me falsely.
724  Other / Meta / How important are you on this forum? on: August 04, 2022, 02:55:16 PM
Are you important enough to have Theymos and forum members close to him comment on your threads (or quote your posts) to have positive conversations with you? Well, that happened to me in the past and it gives me great joy considering how humble they were to then nobody. I often check out his/their comments & posts back then and I see alot of intelligent contributions I have seen no where else. I used to be regular visitor of Sci/Tech forums/platforms long before I knew Bitcoin/crypto and the conversations/brilliance compared to those from top members of this forum esp the one in charge of the forum is less awesome. I believe you can find potential World Leaders from forum superiors here. They seem to understand what people from different countries want and they approached it in relatively humane manner. Alot of times I ask our CREATOR to please not to harm them when I feel wronged because they have been so awesome... Which is part of my contributions/efforts in keeping the forum great. Do you think it's easy to understand and manage people from different countries all over the world? It's not! You have to be really careful and right at judging alot of cultures and mindset to help keep the forum great, despite the hugh differences in ways of life of people coming here. GOD Bless and have mercy on them, and bless their hearts to do right, for It's not easy.
I hope everyone do what is right always to lessen the burden for them, and perhaps you will be visited to have good/positive conversations with them. I think my conversations with one or few of them were in my early days, about development of cities floating on water, using finger print for biometric on decentralized/crypto space to prevent to prevent people from cheating, doing something about corruption (I think that was part of my conversation with Mprep or Achow... Theymos was probably about floating cites and fingerprint biometric which he discouraged me due its flaws) etc . Hope they understand me and know I care alot about them. People who contribute something positive/good in Bitcoin space please me alot. They need to know i understand them alot and pray/"fight" for them every single day.
Grace to you.

725  Other / Meta / Re: Would you be interested in promoting Bitcoin projects/services for free? on: August 04, 2022, 11:00:06 AM
I'll be very much willing to do this as long as the projects are actually good. I however wish we can find ways to sustain it by tipping the advertisers once in a while, the project owners can also support with whatever they have when they become profitable, etc.
This is free community advertisement and is not supposed to make the organizers or the people involved in the promotions any money. However, if the developers or projects believe the community deserves some rewards, they have the right to think of a way to compensate the people. I previously suggested that it can be done with discounted services or special offers for Bitcointalk members, etc.

I just need great things to promote. Betting ads are beginning to look like spam to me as there aren't too many unique & interesting ones these days.
Betting platforms and for-profit businesses shouldn't be the scope of these campaigns.

What sort of project will that be if the people behind it don't make any money? How is it going to be maintained? Via donation or what? If they make money via donation for example that will kind of contradict this:
Quote
not supposed to make the organizers or the people involved in the promotions any money.
There should be ways to sustain the project even if they are non-profit.

In regards to betting, I'm just saying that because the forum is filled with betting promotions. I need something different or unique
726  Economy / Services / Re: I'm open for sponsorship. You can only pay when you are profitable on: August 04, 2022, 10:40:50 AM
@ Stompix, Just noticing your post since I created this thread and I'm still surprised how you hastily posted as a high ranking member without thoroughly going through my thread or what you quoted as proof I'm unable to do anything or that my predictions are wrong. I am really surprised this post got merited

My friend, I did nothing after the comment (the first bolded comment below) as we did not agree on moving the price up. Read the thread again or ask the person who quoted it first to tell you how it went. Here is the thread you got that from: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5396744.msg60092809#msg60092809
In regards to the last bolded comment, the price did actually move that Thursday and it was the biggest price movements of that week

Now I have made claims that sound outrageous but no one so far has been able to prove them wrong, for example on how certain kind of posts can influence the price of Bitcoin... well anyone who has been observing will notice this is true with my posts.

One of your claims was that:

Well if I'm able to take the price above 40,000 within a week or two then you and other members need to help keep me on the forum by donating any amount you choose.

You proved to be unable to do anything, or at least anything good because since your "intervention" the price dumped from 32k to 26k two days later. Another one of your predictions you claimed to have been accurate is this, which could be considered a bad joke at best.

There is going to be strong movement this week, either up or down...
So this👆 price prediction ended up correct and precise.

All you need to do is to believe. You may ask, if what I claim are true, why do I not own a business and make money from it, well making money is not part of my role, most of my current jobs are done for free, I don't demand for reward and that is basically how priests are suppose to operate.

And what if what you claim is not true, your prediction is completely wrong and you start making people poor?
If you like that priest analogy so much, you would also have to tell people that if they choose the wrong priest and wrong religion they might end in a different hell!

The big election wins are for the patriots from the CREATOR through his servant.
Beware of people who who will try to take the credit thinking they are influencial enough to make people win via their hate-filled sites.
I have noticed couple of them who could easily betray the Red King in the name of free speech. I would advice against bringing such close to the king when power is given back to him.

729  Other / Off-topic / Re: My Signature on Bitcoin price Movement & Prediction on: August 03, 2022, 10:17:20 AM
The problem is that there are reasons why Bitcoin moves.

One of the big reasons why Bitcoin will top $100,000 will be the fall of the value of the USD. That's to say, it's not Bitcoin changing in price. It's the dollar changing in value.

When the dollar falls against Bitcoin, it will mean the collapse of the dollar is imminent. And when it falls so badly that the Federal Reserve Bank collapses, think of all the poor people who will suddenly lose their Social Security.

We really need to put something in place that can prop the poor people up, who are depending on the dollar. There are a few things we can do, but it will take a group of us... just like it took several Devs and a whole bunch of advice from others to make Bitcoin what it is today.

Cool

Ofcourse. However the price of Bitcoin will only be more valuable if dollar falls 20% (for example) against Bitcoin without Bitcoin moving up or down...Bitcoin will only be 20% more valuable in this case. What could move Bitcoin up while dollars falls is if people are moving their funds from dollars to Bitcoin.

Dollars is actually supported by us, partly due to those who will suffer the consequences of its collapse. We actually need to build something secure and reliable (which idea has been sufficiently developed already) they can fall back on incase it collapses. However dollar will be supported until the "Red King" takes over. I think he could support and prevent its collapse.

Another very useful thread (a documented proof) on how price was moved with my proven method after I decided it was going to move from a low level where a lot of people where pessimistic which is the kind of mood I needed from people then so that It doesn't look like moving the price up was going to be easy.

*The thread began here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5404659.0

And below are my quotes documenting the increase:

Something I have decided to do

Have decided to move it up to $25 000 to 40,000 in 1 to 2 weeks time. I'm doing this without expecting reward from the work of moving it up. The current price of Bitcoin is about $19,500 is archived: https://archive.fo/0aVIp  Date: Friday July 1st 2022

I will move the resistance to $40,000... And I may stop supporting the price at $25 000 to 40,000 level if people still do not appreciate.

I'm impressed with what was achieved so far even though I avoid posting much on things related to Bitcoin/crypto...partly due to people trying to steal the "show" from the one who started it on July 1st. That's typically my experience whenever I want to prove something true especially via miracles... then you see spams/people claiming thesame/similar thing. I will do this by surprise at the right time... Meanwhile, I will continue, then expect more big movements especially when you see me posting more on Bitcoin/crypto.
*We hit $22,400 High probably on July 8 2022
*Current Bitcoin price: $20,400

We ended the week on Saturday 30th July 2022 and achieved a high of about $24,600 on that day, that is approximately $25,000.... Price varies on different exchanges/platforms.... But the least price I have seen so far is about 24,500 on coinmarketcap.   Well, that was achieved despite the massive fud within the period of 14th to 30th July 2022.

The next plan is to move it up further, depending on how much time I have. If I leave it at this price, it will most likely collapse back to below $19500. You need stronger hand to support and move the price up

I think I will turn on Windows defender first then turn-off/Uninstal McAfee antivirus & its services, assuming having both Windows defender & McAfee anti-virus running at thesame time isn't going to cause any conflict. Otherwise I would turn-off/uninstal McAfee anti-virus service and turn on Windows defender, but not without making sure my laptop internet access is turned off & there are no possible way of letting data into the device. So, after making sure data doesn't get into my laptop via internet or other means , I will then turn-off/uninstal McAfee antivirus and turn on Window defender.

For anti-virus that offers Bitcoin/crypto payments, you probably should check this out: https://www.avira.com/en/press/avira-selects-bitpay-for-bitcoin-and-bitcoin-cash-payments-processing
I'm not sure if it offers one time payment.

Be safe.
733  Economy / Economics / Re: The BTC price must stabilize in the long run. on: July 30, 2022, 04:56:03 PM
As long as Bitcoin exist, the price will keep moving up & down which will be a sign of "Life". .. It becomes dead when it stop moving. The goal should be to moderate the volatility while making sure there is continuous increase in demands caused mostly by good developments in Bitcoin space. Besides, the demand factor plus its relatively low supply helps in making it anti-inflationary upholding its principle as a Deflationary Currency. Without this it won't be a good Store of Value as users savings will keep depreciating in value like you see in Fiat currencies.

The goal now is to help it cross $50,000 which it actually deserves, then things will slow down abit unless there are good developments that can increase demand and keep the price going up strongly from there.

* So, Bitcoin stabilizing in the long run should not equal Bitcoin not moving anymore.
734  Economy / Economics / Re: How much food can you store for survival?3 on: July 29, 2022, 04:24:09 PM
I think you should go for dried foods to reduce weight and have more foods to store. I assume the Cans and liquid will add alot to food weight and make it difficult to transport large amounts of foods to different locations.
Better to carefully dry the foods in ways that preserve their nutrients. And this could help you reduce the need for nutritional supplements...i will advice you dry alot of nutrient-rich vegs & fruits like Moringa leaves, berries etc.... Meats can also be dried... and cereals, legumes, etc are typically dried. You could use durable light weight materials to store them.
It's also important to have people you can exchange foods with,  buying & selling with Cryptocurrency like Bitcoin incase of prolonged crisis or food shortages. I choose crypto due to the possibility of fiat currency inflation due to shortages
735  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will banks inflate Bitcoin in the same way that they do fiat money? on: July 29, 2022, 01:11:54 PM
One of Bitcoin's key advantages is that it is meant to be restricted to 21 million coins. As a result, it would be an excellent store of wealth and an inflation hedge.

But what stops banks from producing it out of thin air, just as they do with dollars and euros?

Let we look at it in monetary terms:

Joe, the entrepreneur, wants to start a business. He visits a bank and "takes out a loan." That is, the bank enters "Joe's balance is $100,000" into their computer. Joe then employs Sue. Sue works her tail off for one month and is "paid" $5,000. Joe instructs his bank to "pay" Sue $5,000.

As a result, the bank records it in their computer "Joe's account balance is 95,000 dollars. Sue's account balance is $5,000 ".

The tale would be the same if you changed "Dollar" to "Bitcoin" or "Purple Diamonds" or anything. The bank's computer is unconcerned with the number of Bitcoins or Purple Diamonds in circulation. It's simply a SQL database.

So, if Bitcoin becomes the new money, individuals will soon "possess" billions of them collectively, right?

Is there something I'm missing?

Well, Bitcoin blockchain is transparent enough for people to know whether those are real bitcoins or not... assuming the owners have the Bitcoin addresses & controls the private keys associated with the addresses. That is why self-custody is very important... meaning you control your Bitcoin private keys with the addresses associated with the keys (instead of a bank controlling them).
First of all, Joe & Sue need to make sure those are real bitcoins and that they actually control the coins by verifying them on public Bitcoin Blockchain using the Bitcoin addresses that contain the coins.
It's important to always educate people on the need to stick to Bitcoin Principles which include Self-custody and Transparency in order to be on the safe side.
I will also advice the Bitcoin community not to believe they have bitcoins if they do not have access to coins private keys. This should discourage people from accepting Bitcoin on accounts/addresses they do not control... You control the account/address means you have access to the Private keys.

* The tendency to inflate things and weaken the price of the Real One will be reduced if people only accept real bitcoins they control.
736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi is not dead, what is he doing? on: July 28, 2022, 04:05:31 PM
After reading so many topics that discuss who satoshi could be and why he would leave bitcoin from one day to another it made me think: What is he doing these days? It is really unlikely that he never ever came back to the forum again, just to read and look at the progress. Also it seems likely that he had at least one alt account that may even be sill active.

He will probably give up easily if he came with alternative account writing about Bitcoin the way he wrote about it in his days. I think he would be hated or ignored. There is also the possibility he won't understand Bitcoin anymore due to being brainwashed, and he could be shocked it was his invention. I notice the less time you spend discussing Bitcoin/crypto the dumber you become in things related to it.
737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is scarcer than gold. on: July 28, 2022, 03:46:22 PM
244,000 metric tons of gold has been discovered to date, 55,000 tons of gold are left.

But there is still a lot of gold left in the universe. There is gold on asteroids for example. One day these will be minable. So the gold supply is not as limited as some may think.

However, gold is hard to move around, weighs a lot, it's hard to sell or buy, it's not practicable.

With BTC it's another story. We all know there are only 21,000,000 coins and 3-4 millions are already lost forever.

There is no Bitcoin in the whole Universe, except on Planet Earth.

BTC is scarcer than gold. I think one day 1 BTC will enter the $xxx, xxx zone then the $x,xxx, xxx HODL BTC
Ofcourse, it's scarcer. However, Gold is scarce doesn't mean the undiscovered ones are getting exhausted or are that low in quantity. This World is unbelievably hugh and  humans have only discovered a very little part of it. I would invest more in searching for gold in the world than elsewhere.
738  Other / Off-topic / Re: Meta can't be everything at the same time on: July 28, 2022, 03:05:21 PM
For the three months ended in June, Meta (FB), the parent company of Facebook, reported sales of $28.8 billion, a 1% decrease from the corresponding quarter in the prior year and its first year-over-year revenue reduction since going public in 2012.

The company's profit decreased even further. A significant contrast to the previous year, when its earnings more than doubled, was the net income for the quarter, which fell 36% year over year to close to $6.7 billion.

It's connected to Trump & Russia issues which it judged poorly. Poor judgment =  sign of getting de-ranked or demoted in human affairs.. . Only a few understand this. Justice is constantly served from above , whether humans judge right or not.
When you realize we are being watched by Higher Beings (not aliens) who own this world, like people watch television you will never remain thesame.

A big sign you were demoted = Your power to control things is diminished
739  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you ever thought of making yourself ugly to avoid attracting attention? on: July 28, 2022, 09:07:00 AM
I’ve never thought about making myself less attractive to avoid attention but I understand the appeal. There are many times when I would prefer people not recognize me or really even acknowledge me.

For example when I walk the dog outside my apartment complex every morning, I usually wear a baseball cap and some sweatpants. This is partially because I’m lazy but I certainly don’t want to be noticed by anyone either. I suppose there a certain times where it’s more comfortable to be anonymous.

Ofcourse. Same here(in regards to the bolded) ... I mostly do that if have nothing important to tell people, or if I need a quiet time alone like people need quiet place to walk alone and think... or like walking on forest path alone to think.

To hide your identity and achieve the desired result you will probably need to avoid using things that will end up attracting attention to yourself, maybe by dressing and looking like people around you. People tend to focus their attentions on things or people who look odd

I don’t know. But I have definitely done things to avoid attention, like wearing hoods. I feel that masks have given introverts like me a liberty to go anywhere, without someone recognizing us. So, I do use masks when I go out.

Mask that doesn't attract attention to avoid people staring at you
740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the forerunner of the paperless economy. on: July 27, 2022, 04:07:24 PM
There is no interference from anyone and no one can know any information about this transaction. So in this transaction system many people feel comfortable to do the transaction.
Yes, Bitcoin did a wonderful job by introducing blockchain to the world and also changed the way we see digital money but you'll be surprised that with the help of some blockchain analysis company or advanced research and the information about crypto transactions can be known because Bitcoin is not anonymous. It requires some extra activity ( the use of Bitcoin tumbler or privacy wallet) to make Bitcoin transactions anonymous.

Ofcourse, Bitcoin is not anonymous as its name (Bitcoin) is known & not a secret. However, people can use it without revealing their names/identities which is the anonymity we are talking about. The anonymity can however be weak or strong depending on how you use Bitcoin. It can be strong when it's used in the way it was meant to be used - in p2p decentralized manner... Additional measures can be taken to make it stronger.
In the future, we hope to develop Bitcoin/crypto in a way that anonymity is guaranteed and can't be abused/misused by criminals which will probably render certain roles of the Blockchain analysis companies useless because security agencies would be able to run their own nodes, monitor the network themselves and report those doing evil behind the anonymity to the Network. Once you've been proven to abusing your anonymity, your identity which was well hidden/protected can be revealed via Network Consensus in a transparent manner. And most importantly, the whole process would be immutable just incase you were innocent or something like that.
