741  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jan 11 to Feb 11 Sidehack Compac Stick pool new 30 day run. Birthday promo on: February 01, 2016, 04:11:53 PM
Just got a powered usb hub from the job. Not the best solution to overclock since both keys are too close to each other but still manage to boost them up to 175. I need more cooling and a better setup to go over that.

60 Watts for two compacts, not bad. I hope the EyeBoot hub weren't that costly. I would buy one ! Tongue

Waiting on my new Avalon and I will throw an SP20 back at the pool or some S3.

Herb

EDIT: I'm getting some HW, guess that might be a mix of the heat (My 50 CFM fan might be not enough) and some pot adjustment needed.

EDIT2: i'm getting 0.0028931% hardware error. Which is not bad. Anyone getting almost none at 250 or 300 mhx ? Just saw 325 with 0 HW in the support group. Will work on that.

Hey CK, can you give us some blocks rewards?
http://de.ckpool.org/workers/1Q8VghUJkNeFnaKy553b9buUWKxFYL579G_bitcoinlotto1

my Girlfriend is rly expensiv and iam just a student.

Thank You
WTF are you talking about? You guys were extremely lucky as it was and were one of the only groups to solve blocks without donating anything back to the pool other than the mandatory fee. What exactly do you want from me?

thought after 3 blocks they would give you a lill extra than the stranded fee tbh if that was me id be giving a lot more than the mandatory fee
4 blocks in total to date have been mined to that address with solo.

Disgusting ...
744  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: New group buy -Avalon6 -$1100 - Closing soon Thur. the 28th on: January 28, 2016, 04:11:55 PM
Phil,

The BTC went down during the night. Is the price still the same ? 2.798 ?

I will take a decision soon. I'm still undecided ... hard to ROI even with my low electricity cost.

Thanks Smiley

I say fudge to the ROI ... I have 3 S3 to replace soon anyway.

I'm in for one

I received 2 replacements for dead boards that I sent to Bitmain.  Within a couple hours one of the boards is dead again...  What a waste of $ and time.  I know their response is going to be for me to ship it to them again for repair, because they did so well at gaining my confidence the first time...

IMO If you're sure it's the same board you sent to them. They should pay for shipping and labor.

755  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 0.5% fee solo mining USA/DE servers 149 blocks solved! on: January 24, 2016, 03:59:38 AM
I do mine solo at home  Smiley CK is my failover as I've said before. I would like to keep solo.ckpool active though and if fees go up, clients may go down, which will result in smaller overall take-home for CK.

Seems I'm in the minority though so raise it to 1 or 2%. I hope the numbers stay the same and more money flows into the pool. I've said my piece. I don't have anything else to add to the subject.

Your missing kano's point, what if your block got stale because your bitcoind was X secs slower then ck pool ?
756  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 0.5% fee solo mining USA/DE servers 149 blocks solved! on: January 24, 2016, 03:30:14 AM
Then of course there's measuring the block handling and distribution time with a home bitcoind and equating that to a % risk of losing a block ... ... ... ...

 Grin
757  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 0.5% fee solo mining USA/DE servers 149 blocks solved! on: January 24, 2016, 12:12:30 AM
Thanks everyone for your thoughts, and I agree I'd love it if it were just up to the block solvers to donate what they thought was appropriate. The best part for me has been when people donate after finding a block and some solvers have been most generous in that area. However only half of the block solvers donate and the reality of the costs and time of this pool will not be sustainable long term at the current fee with only half donating. The main reason for raising the fee early is to at least keep the absolute fee static when the halving hits (no I don't believe the exchange value will magically double at the halving - it didn't last time and it won't this time). Based on the feedback I'm inclined to just increase the fee to 1%, though I'll leave it till February.

1% to keep the pool up is in my hubble opinion just normal. You should do it and make sure the pool propers for many years ;-)

Keep up the good work and if I ever hit a block you'll get a donation for sure !
