7841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever stopped or removed from casino on: August 10, 2018, 07:45:33 AM
I've seen some drunk customers removed before at a casino.  It caused quite a scene and these 2 guys wouldn't stop talking trash to everyone and constantly swearing.  I do most of my gambling online anyways so it's not like this is a frequent occurence for me.

In the old days if you misbehaved or were caught cheating they took you to the back room to "teach you a lesson".

Oh yeah, mostly, its foreigners who played and get drunk and created a scene. Casino's security step up and to tossed the two. They are swearing on everyone who looks at them and there are some locals who wanted to smack those guys. hahaha. Security and the Police step in and I don't know what would happen if those 2 keeps on bad mouthing everyone there in the casino.

But on the other hand, I saw one foreigners who got drunk and play on a roullete and he is very lucky that they and he has is very willing to give some of this winnings. Grin
7842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is product a key factor for a project? on: August 10, 2018, 07:15:38 AM
Hey guys, for me is definitely a big yes. Personally feel that having a product is important for ICO project.

What's your view on this matter?

A product that is unique, never been seen in the market and a real usage will be a good thing to look. As we all know that there are a lot of ICO projects being born every minute, however, most of them are just a complete spun of or just a copy of previous projects that's why it doesn't gain enough money for them.

Please also take note that I highlight real usage. It should not just be a product but it should have usage in real life so that it can really attract not just investors but people who are going to use it in their everyday lives. Medicine, renewable energies like solar energy on even on the livestock industry can be a good product to start with.
7843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Frustrations: Losing Streak on: August 10, 2018, 06:37:37 AM
I know that every one of us had this day when we all thought that it's our day but it's not. I myself honestly say that there are still times that I lose control of everything when this happens, I tend to get frustrated immediately (especially when it comes to poker) when I know that I have a losing card. It makes my day from bad to worst. How do you handle your frustrations when losing streak strikes?

Though before I've reached a point in where I'll be having a thought of chasing my loses, I'll leave the table and look for a dessert or sometimes when I bring my car, there's a clothing that I can rip just to let my frustrations out. (It may sound absurd but it really works for me, after that my mind is clear, no frustrations then I'll go back and finish my visit)
Pause is a good thing to get rid of frustration and thoughts, if not the worst thing will happen to the bet that you do will run out in vain because the emotion is very high if the reference wants to win the gambling. luck will not always come, so play calmly and strategically without hurrying with lust sure that what you are fighting will produce results

If I'm in a landbased casino and frustrations started to sets in and I'm too emotional in my betting strategy, I usually go home because I know that I will lose so much money because my decision was clouded. About a week ago, I lost my cool in a game and I quickly head out of the door and take a ride home.

And I take a week break because the game is still in my head and the way I wanted it to go. I wanted to go and play again if I'm calm so that I can used my strategy and doesn't want to put a bet based on my emotions.
7844  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predictability of Bitcoin - drop to $6000 then up to over $7000 within weeks? on: August 09, 2018, 07:52:43 AM
Looking at the charts for the whole year, it did look as if the recent bull run could be the start of a sustained recovery. If you fit a line down from the December 2017 peak, then it did look as if the drop had finished, and it could start going up again. But, with the current fall, it looks like just another up/down bump on the graph. It just shows that simply looking at the graph isn't enough to predict price movements.

How can we predict when there's a lot of factors that contributed to the price movement. And the most important thing is that its based on pure speculation, a wild but educated guess.

I'll predict that within the next month the price will go down to break $6000, and then go up to over $7000 again. I make these predictions only to see how my predictions come out. I want to have more accuracy in predicting the market before I commit my money.

Let's see mate. I'm bullish about bitcoin and love hearing a lot of prediction. I'm specially curious if we can really break that $6K and bottom once again and see if the investors or speculators are done with this bearish trend and will try to make it bullish as everyone has been expecting this August. Gonna be interesting and the future still good for all of us.
7845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: August 09, 2018, 06:12:50 AM
I think the league should seriously consider moving the 3 point line back further.  NBA games have become a 3 point shooting contest with a serious lack of inside play.  There is practically no mid range game anymore.

I agree, since there are alots of players that can actually shoot a little further away from the 3 point line and taller guys are even shooting 3-pointers now.
Shaq has been saying that the NBA today is pretty much boring because players lack aggressiveness when it comes to shooting inside

This is one the "issues" I see in the NBA right now. I hope that those big guys are not being forced by the team to go for the three because its going to be awkward. I mean you are getting out of your comfort zone and you are not used to firing 3's but instead wants to go inside and be physical and battle for the loose ball.

Shaq is one of the last true great centers we gonna see in our era. Unless someone comes along and became as dominant as he is, the game will be played and won by the team with the most 3 point shot.
7846  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Shouldn't people take a better care of their own species? on: August 09, 2018, 05:53:53 AM
I have one friend who spends thousands of dollars on one of his pets because the dog has a cancer. But eventually she die. So I don't the rational but I didn't ask. The only reason I think of its because animals like dog don't retaliate and didn't harbor negative sentiments towards human.

Imagine you feed someone you didn't know, but then you are robbed or something. Or you help someone on the streets because they claimed to be disabled. But if you closely followed them, they are able body but just too lazy to get a job. I hope you get my point.
7847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 227: Dillashaw vs Garbrandt 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: August 09, 2018, 04:59:13 AM
^  Could their history at Team Alpha Male be making Garbrandt more emotional than usual?  Dillashaw was Garbrandt's sparring partner, and there were times when Dillashaw would spar as if it was a real bout.  Lol.  There was a rumor that he hit Garbrandt so hard once during training and it KO'd him.  Cheesy

I think both of them had their own plans on how to beat each other's company. Garbrandt was a great fighter and I trusted how he performed so well with his career eversince he been lost from his previous bouts. The history was a part of his journey in UFC, let's start over and expect more surprising fights to come from them. Roll over the screen and let's await the excitement upon their fight will go further with their next fights.

The bad blood between Team Alpha Male and Dillashaw is really like a drama lol. I don't know what will happen to team alpha male, since their fighter can't win against Dillashwa. Garbrandt is a good fighter indeed but i think he can't control his anger and emotion, i think dillashwa know this very well and abuse it to win the fight vs garbrandt last week.

It was really a drama unfolding right in front on us. I don't know if its just stage or something but most of us bought it and like Cody being the bad guy here but it didn't went on his way. Dillashaw is not the only one who left Team Alpha, there are coach as well if I'm not mistaken. Same reasons, didn't agree on the direction or what's needed to be done. Let's bring Faber vs Dillashaw. hehehehhe.
7848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Share your dice strategy on: August 08, 2018, 07:23:43 PM
Just make double bet, when you loose, and make your win, then withdraw. In first round, it is very rare, if you have 10 red strikes, so you can make win fast, even today.  Wink
Your statement is kinda messy but I'll try to understand it. To make it simple that is martingale. You only wanted the first green? But how are you able to withdraw? Most of sites like pd has 400k sats minimum for withdrawal. Not unless your base bet is more than their minimum withdrawal. But if you're talking about the first session of the day, there's a big chance that you won't reached your quota and red streak will come.
That's why you never use martingale strategy for a long run. Just use it for short run, like after get profit 10-30%, change to other strategy. Martingale strategy for a long run is really dangerous.

Martingale was not design for long run because if you used this method it will really catch up with you and get busted. If you got lucky but using this method then stop at the first stance you see some red streak. Change your strategy and see how it works for you.

And just remember that there's still the element of luck in dice and there are no perfect strategy. If you are not greedy and won at least 50% of your bankroll then stop and call it a day. You really don't know when that one red streak will come and the next thing you know, your bankroll is swept and all your winnings gone in an instant.
7849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale and Roulette on: August 08, 2018, 07:12:15 PM
Hi guys is there anyone knowing anything about Martingale strategy? I'm new on it and i'd like to start to use it in online roulettes. Do u think that it worth trying using it if my budget is roughly 2k£? I found this guide https://casino.guru/roulette-scam-strategies and they say it's better not to use it; but i have friends who won real money thanks to that.
Can anyone giving me any further info about? Thanks very much  Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

You can also used Martingale on roulette but I guess you can apply them in the color bet: red/black and it depends how much you are going to put on your first bet. I'm sure that you know how it works but if you are unlucky, you can't go even further than 7 losing streak (at least in my experienced).

You might want to try it to see how it goes but remember that roulette is based on pure luck so if you got unlucky just like me, you will be busted in just a couple of spins.
7850  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency Market Could Hit $1 Trillion This Year on: August 07, 2018, 08:33:02 AM
I agree that anything can happened. But we have to put ourselves on the ground sometimes that its not realistic to hit the $1 Trillion marketcap because the market is very sluggish and struggling. 2018 has really put a good lesson for everyone that the price is really unpredictable and as much as we wanted for the price to remain bullish, it doesn't work that way.

The bears has taken over the market since the beginning of the year and I don't think that they will easily give up their control to the bulls. Day trading is the name of the game now, and it you haven't adjusted your trading strategy and still hopes for that massive bull run to happen, then you might lose everything at the end of this year.
7851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin lose market share? on: August 07, 2018, 06:48:21 AM
Undoubtedly, everyone knows the name of Nokia, and, with its words, quality and performance are brought into the minds of individuals. Nokia was one of the first mobile phone companies in the world. In 1998, Nokia was able to rely on the royal palace of the mobile phone companies, and the largest share of mobile phone sales. But with the advent of Apple's phones and Android phones, the share of Nokia has fallen sharply so that they were eventually bought by Microsoft in 2013.
In my opinion, Bitcoin has a way that Nokia. Bitcoin technology is old compared to other Altcoin. Bitcoin was the first, but perhaps not the best.

There is something wrong with this analogy. number of supplies of bitcoin and the demand of consumers. The supply is getting thinner and thinner and as much as altcoin born and being promoted as bitcoin killer, it won't because as time passes by, the price will continue to grow no matter what people will says.

As for the smartphone or cellphone industry, Nokia didn't see their competition coming, while for Bitcoin the competition is already here, but why they are not succeeding despite bitcoin's shortcomings? Its because of supply and demand.
7852  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does McDonald coin have the power to cause dip in bitcoin market on: August 06, 2018, 07:05:10 AM
Acouple of days back the bitcoin market was gaining some slightly increase in price but every thing change since Wednesday and when speaking with a friend online he sent a me a YouTube video of McDonald planning to create their own coin. He said the coin was the reason why the market is down and I don't believe him but McDonald have more capital than cryptocurrency this year.
What's your thought guys?

No, I don't think that this news has something to do with bitcoin current slump in recent days. Do you think that they will just pour all their capital on their coin to tip the balance on their favor? I don't think so.

Investors are simply cashing out in the last couple of days and usually this dip happens on weekends anyways so I'm expecting that bitcoin will go above $7K and probably hits $7100-$7200 this week and as we get closer to the EFT decision, we might see a slight spike on the price.
7853  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looks like Bitcoin is a news right now. on: August 06, 2018, 06:31:13 AM
More and more people are being curious about how the extent of bitcoin can further lengthen their way of living into luxury and glamour, which is actually making it famous right now. Time may come that people only rely on the benefits of managing bitcoin rather than their own societal participation or job-related things. What do you know about the famousness of bitcoin worldwide? Add more ideas, opinions and news about this.

That is very wrong. Newbies shouldn't think of bitcoin that way, this market is not to get rich quick, Yes it has become a form of investment but just like any other class assets out there, their is risk. How many newbies who FOMO last 2017 specially in December and thinking that the meteoric rise will continue this year? They joined at the peak and now they are all burned. as for being in the news, well it has been since its inception.

The thing is, it started to have a lot of negative feedback and it just started to make headlines last year, specially during its bull run. I advise everyone not to think bitcoin as a get rich scheme and its better to treat it as what Satoshi wanted, to be used as a payment scheme.
7854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is waiting for what? on: August 06, 2018, 06:10:57 AM
What do you mean that bitcoin is set for a bull run? As far as I know bitcoin is still struggling. So we all know that ETH price is somewhat tied to Bitcoin so expect that ETH will also struggle up to the end of the year. Not unless there's some development in the ETH side that will make the coin makes its own bull run independent of Bitcoin. But so far we haven't heard anything and then there is also the EOS threat, another factor that I believed contributes to its recent downfall.

Recently, the market has shown that bitcoin is set for a bull run. Yet, the ethereum chart is showing that, ethereum is feebly struggling to even maintain it's current price. What do you say about this? Why hasn't ethereum followed suit?

7855  Economy / Economics / Re: The Reason For Creating a New Cryptocurrency? on: August 06, 2018, 05:39:05 AM
Yes, this is the main reason as far as bitcoin as originally envisioned by Satoshi. At that time we are in a financial crisis and he doesn't want to rely on any third party to do our everyday transactions. That's why bitcoin is born, to be use as a mode of payment, without boundaries. However, do note that it has evolved a lot, the real usage was taken a back sit, and now bitcoin is being viewed as a form of investments.

I think the main reason for creating new coins is for faster payments. to create an ecosystem of a project that will be valuable in the eyes of the world and there are also reasons for fraud such as dumps and pumps
7856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [UFC] The wait is over. Khabib vs Conor on: August 04, 2018, 07:58:08 PM
I guess I'll have to create the thread way earlier...  Maybe as soon as all the match ups are available and when the promotion starts.  Smiley  It's gonna be so fun following McGregor promote this one.

Yup, once you created that thread, I might as well close this one and continue our discussions there. I was just pump up when I read the news earlier that's why I created this thread to let everyone know. Promotions has been started even before the scheduled actual fight. Countless videos in Youtube has been circulating for years now. But we love drama in sports specially involving Conor so I'm sure the media will also have a feast day following him around and giving us inside news.

For all UFC fans out there:

Conor McGregor to challenge Khabib Nurmagomedov for lightweight title at UFC 229

Quote
He’s back. And he’s coming for the title that he never lost.

The UFC officially announced Friday that Conor McGregor (21-3) will make his return to the Octagon after a nearly two-year hiatus when he challenges Khabib Nurmagomedov (26-0) for the lightweight championship in the main event of UFC 229 on Oct. 6 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

This marks McGregor’s first UFC fight since Nov. 12, 2016, when he defeated Eddie Alvarez to capture lightweight gold and become a dual-division champion at 145 and a 155 pounds. He has been stripped of both belts since as he took time off from MMA competition to raise his first first child and pursue a blockbuster boxing bout with Floyd Mayweather.

This is what all UFC/MMA fans are waiting for years, and it looks like its going to happen on Oct. 6. @Tokeweed, time to create a thread for this one.  Grin
