How high will this go xmr/btc ?
Excluding Bithumb ATH was half year ago at 0.035. So if it breaks that can go really high. Monero March Madness will be here. Interesting times. Obvious question is how much of this is being driven by the hot air of the fork. Then again Monero is a chronically undervalued crypto. Looks like we may have topped out for a bit. Highest I saw on this run was 0.0305. Not too shabby. Still a chance we push higher 0.03288 at Poloniex. That is a new high since the August ATH. I'm somewhat surprised to see it hold above .03 still. I thought we'd be a few weeks yet for that. |

Any idea what's the reason behind the extra-pump of Monero?
No idea. Some people are blaming the pump on anticipation of the Monero V fork, but this pump is too sudden for that. Didn't knew there was going to be a fork. I only have a few moneros and I have them on an exchange as there's no hardware wallet support for it (yet). Should I move them to a software wallet? No. The fork is called Monero V. Basically, claiming coins on the fork will compromise your own privacy and likely the privacy of the entire Monero network. Anyway, the forked coins will probably be near-worthless. Compromise the privacy... but... but... free money?! I will read about it, thanks! Not really free money. You are selling the transaction history for that wallet (handing over the keys) for valueless tokens with no means of exchange, no wallet code, no names and no answers. Better to ignore it. |

No freaking kidding. HDDs are obsolete relics from the 20th century second millennium. It's time to move on from moving-parts contraptions. glass-bulb technologies and other fragile inefficient garbage. I've been using SSDs since the days of IDE (PATA) and have never had an SSD fail. I originally got into SSDs for performance (used HDDs in RAID-0 and RAID-5 before that), backing up to HDDs. It was the HDDs that actually failed. I was mainly seeking fast writes and reads. The extremely lower failure rate of SSDs was just a bonus. What's the longest time you have used an SSD for? I thought they were supposed to wear out faster than HDDs. I'm pushing 5 years on my oldest one, and it has been flawless. Pretty sure I've never had a HDD last that long, or even close. My newest NVMe Pro is ridiculously fast. Friends don't let friends HDD Was your oldest one a cheap brand, an expensive brand, or a mid range brand? All Samsung. The old one I'm assuming, as it is in a sealed Samsung laptop... I think lately Samsung came out a latest model of laptop, that's I'll wait it before I buy. |
