Dude. Not cool.
As long as BitcoinWarranty / Yoshi are ok with my humor (and they do), it's ok.
802  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Unofficial Spondoolies SP20 thread on: December 30, 2014, 05:40:23 PM
Considering the SP20 has the USB port on it, can I run a USB wireless router through that port to connect to my home network or is the wired connection required?
It's experimental, follow the technical blog post.

... I dont have a bias towards or against Dogie...
With the exception of his un-proportional reaction (IMHO) towards our SP20 Legendaries review party, I have a bias towards Dogie.

Bick changed the post thread title to "Dogie spam", but this is still the Spondoolies Spam. It didn't matter who's owned the review party it was a dangerous game to play as we're now seeing.

In the same way as publishing an exploit, it doesn't matter if the publisher gets close to breaking the system as a demonstration but doesn't push it further, because someone can then utilise the exploit to entirely break the system.

I will need Bitmain's permission first and everyone involved should expect an unbiassed total wipe of all offtopic spam.

The main BITMAIN account can answer that, although get the PM in soon as after tonight its Chinese New Year and everyone will be hard to get hold of.
We didn't find an exploit. You blew it out of all proportion. Without your action, the threads would have sunk much faster.
Chinese New Year is February 19.

I too look forward to the s-5.  I want to mod it with the 7 inch silverstone fan and see how quiet it does at 1100 gh then 1000 gh

It would be great if Bitmain did an about face with their S5.  After bungling the S2, S3, and S4 rollouts, however, I would expect the same for the S5.

Indeed.

I wanted to try Spondoolies, but unfortunately their 2 SP20's for $1000,- offer was very short lived...
...
RoadStress's GB is still open.

Nah, no third parties. Thank you... (You did have that offer [$500,-/pc. with a min. order of 2] on your own site for a day or two, didn't you?)

As curious as it might seem, Roadstress is only organizing the influx of customers .. whether spondoolies is honoring every GB promise.
Correct. RoadStress receives small incentive for organizing and managing the GB thread.

Dogie, it seems your employer uses the exact same method - sending review units (of course in a much less elegant way ...)

Two review threads already popped up.

Don't you think you should open another meta thread to discuss it ?

That's for you to talk to Bitmain with, I'm dogie not Bitmain. Also, I did not open this thread, I didn't even post in here until the second page.
Indeed.

Thank you for the review posting!!   Cheesy

ps: does the reservation fee effect anyone who knows the SP-T site link? not sure what stops someone paying the fee for 2 (if any) units and ordering 20 from SPT
It's possible to order directly from our web site without paying the reservation fee.
We'll honor the order, but we ask people kindly not to do it out of courtesy to RoadStress.
814  Other / Meta / Re: Regulation of undeserved negative trust on: December 29, 2014, 06:40:22 PM
One of the frequent topics I've seen discussed on this board is the Trust system and the members that make up the DefaultTrust. I didn't really pay too much interest to the situation until recently where I was given negative trust by a random member for having a business transaction with another member that had been accused of a scam. Even though I have never had any relation to a scam, I now have a red mark on my trust from an idiot, and it annoys me more than it should.

Is it possible to hire a trusted staff member (Badbear/Hilarious) or even trusted member (Tomatocage) to review cases of whether negative trust was warranted? I'm ready to throw some BTC monthly for payment for these services and I'm sure others are as well.
The troll spammed my trust as well. Nothing to do about it.

818  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] Spondoolies SP20 review - A Green miner with a Loud fan on: December 28, 2014, 10:10:26 AM
A new record: Ambient temp 5c degree, 0.6/0.605 setting, 897GH, consumes 345W at wall, means 0.385W/GH efficiency

At very low temp, the normal 0.59/0.6V setting can not start all the loops, must raise it to 0.6/0.605V to get all the loops running, but the result is quite respectable

http://photo.mystisland.org/sp20/sp20_lowest.png

Impressive. Got a screenshot of the ASIC Status page?

But something is wrong here, with 345W, the webpage shows 897GH but mining pools shows constantly 700GH, I don't know if it is the latest firmware caused this problem, will restart it and try again

Edit: Something went wrong with previous settings, after several test, it seems 440W on wall for 930GH can be stable, still 0.47W/GH
0.47 J/GH is aligned with our undervolt results as well for 0.6V
There are differences between different batches of RockerBoxes, the last ones are more efficient.
