8141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: April 16, 2018, 07:13:17 PM
This fight will be joke for sure. It would look like a battle for grandpas. Pacquiao should move on. It's not about him anymore. If he loves boxing, he can just train upcoming fighters rather than putting up  unsatisfying fights.
this match maybe not so interesting such as Pacquiao several years ago when he still being defending champion and when he has several times able to knockout his opponents but i think this match can makes Pacquiao fans satisfied because admitted or not Pacquiao is one of the best boxers that ever existed

Or maybe we can see if Manny Pacquaio has still the drawing power and can bring people on the arena. I also don't think that this is a joke fight just because he is old already and not on his peak. But Manny really loves to fight and for me that's really important because we can see that he will give his 100% every fight whoever is opponent is.

I'm sure like any boxers before him, its really hard to quit boxing because they really love it and no matter what the fans and the public has to say, if they feel that their can still go and can still pull the trigger then why not?
8142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are bitcoin transaction prices so expensive? on: April 16, 2018, 06:40:39 PM
because Blockchain Bitcoin's Scalability (Blocksize / Block Size) is overflowing with transactions every second. As a result, then there is swelling in each side of the network, resulting in greater transaction costs imposed to reduce transaction traffic.

I don't know about you guys but the latest unconfirmed tx is just below 3500 so its not overflowing or the network is not that clogged to begin with. And the spam attack has gone and I also believed that most trading exchanges are now batching their transactions and supporting Segwit (less fees) that's why the network is always free and not congested.

And when Lightning Network is rolled out, which is huge in my opinion, but if it can drastically improved the network clogging because LN is carried out off-chain, then it can free up a lot of bandwidth and network traffic.
8143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: April 16, 2018, 06:11:27 PM
Currently watching live the Playoffs Game 1 match between Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics.

99 - 96 in favor of Boston Celtics but with remaining .5 (POINT 5) second, Khris Middleton of the Milwaukee Bucks hit a quick three that leads into all 99 and an overtime.

How can I watch both games at the same time now as Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers are now starting their match too lol.

I got the same problem once they both play at the same time.
I cannot see any replay so Youtube will be the answer for the summarized video of the game. Lol

Indiana is giving Cleveland a hard time to win.
Oladipo. Wow that man though is like Atlas that is carrying the team.
Cleveland though, their having problems with the offense. Looks like they will need more spacing just so Lebron could penetrate the paint.
It's unexpected because fans still believe that the Cavaliers are still the king in the East.
Now that they loss one game at home, I am expecting a major adjustment in game 2 because it's a must win situation for them to avoid being sweep.
They needed to adjust and play much better coming  this game two in order to have a good rhythm, we seen unexpected things happen earlier
but knowing Cavs, still believe that lebron will not disappoint their fans and will still do his jib as the king, if he wants to create another momentum
for his name then this season is the best timing for him, if he will be able to carry his young guns up to the finals then it will be more additional
accomplishment for his resume.
Didn't expect on the recent outcome of the game of Cavs, they would really need to adjust on 2nd game to be again on the momentum just like what most people said on here, these kind of scenarios can happen anytime and we might see such outcome but we wont even know since this will be depending on their upcoming performance.I see that Lebron bringing up his team to the finals will really be not easy.

That's why playoff really shows the chemistry and the will of a team to win. If look likes the Cavs really play awful in both defense and offense and most of this new members didn't contribute as well.

I take my hats off to Oladipo, really superb game and he overwhelms the Cavs defense. Its gonna be hard to Lebron seeing how the teams performs, but its just one game and I'm sure that the team needs to adjust and its scary because Indiana whopped their ass on their homecourt. Let's see how James and the rest of the Cavs react to game 2.
8144  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-14] Opinion: We are at the End of another Cryptocurrency Downward Trend on: April 15, 2018, 03:10:32 AM
Imo Lebanov at least is right with his opinion that the market is indeed already tired from the downtrend. There were no real attacks on the last lows, and many shorts at Finex have been closed, so in the short term (next month or so) I expect at least a sideways and probably a slightly bullish market.

However, it's too early to bet on a definitive trend reversal. On Google Trends, for example, one can see that the interest in Bitcoin has decreased a bit. It may be a very good moment to buy for "smart money" which are willing to hold long-term. But if you need the money in e.g. the next year, then you should still be careful.

In 2014, for example, we also had a little trend reversal in April/May, but it was short-lived and 6 weeks later, the bear market returned (see this graph). It is not guaranteed that the same pattern will happen again, but I consider it a realistic possibility.

Correct mate, Maybe we are tired seeing the price going down the pipe, but the questions remains, is the current surge really sustainable or this is just a after effect of the tax season in US or institutional investors pouring cash?

So its really early to say and I guess we need how it goes at the end of the month. Right now we haven't got to $8100 and it keeps fluctuating from $7800-$8K. Will be happy to see the price continues to grow, but I wouldn't put too much expectations because I don't want to be disappointed again. Will continue to monitor price just in case and for sanity's sake. Smiley
8145  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will rise to $250,000 by 2022??? on: April 15, 2018, 02:20:03 AM
if all this drama over (regulation by governments)
i believe bitcoin will touch $20,000 this year
and yes $250,000 its not just a dream

But the drama will not be over and I believed that it will grow more as bitcoin has really attracted a lot of investors in the next coming months and years.

Hello, everyone!
Tim Draper says that bitcoin would reach $250,000 by 2022. “Believe it. It’s going to happen, they going to think you’re crazy. It’s gonna be awesome,” Draper told the enthusiastic onlookers.
What do you think about it guys? Is this a possible future for the BTC or another provocation?

https://www.marketwatch.com/story/bitcoin-will-rise-to-250000-by-2022-says-tim-draper-2018-04-13?dist=markets

What do you expect from a bigtime bitcoin investors like Tim Draper? Of course he will be very bullish and will say all sort of things to at least influence a lot of people. Just nice though to see some articles like this to counter those FUD around. But for bitcoin to reach this price, we need more people, more investors in the next couple of years to shove the price to at least $100K and then everything will change, and probably Tim's prediction will become true. Lets see how it goes.
8146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: April 15, 2018, 01:10:27 AM
So, Playoffs have started Smiley

We saw pure dominance of Warriors who, even without Curry, manage to dominate over Spurs 113:92.
Durant didn't need to play in 4th quarter due to BO.

Warriors showed that they would have no problems in this series. And after Curry returns, they will be available to attack NBA title, once again.

I wouldn't be over confident though. I would like to see San Antonio at least extends the game and really test how good Golden State without Curry because this is play-off time. This is really good though for Golden State if they are tested, at least we are going to see their true colors and be ready for tough next round opponent.

As for San Antonio, without Leonard it will be really difficult to overcome and win this series against Golden State, but winning at least 1 game is not bad. But I wouldn't be surprised though is Golden State sweep the series.
8147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Starting a Gambling Game on: April 15, 2018, 12:43:14 AM
Have you ever experienced like you wanted to gamble but you can't do anything about it then you started to think what you can do for the meantime because you are bored or something like that? I have tried gambling with my friends when we are bored like if a red car passes by you would win, something like not on the ordinary or the norm in gambling but there's an exchange of value that's why it's still called gambling. If someone tries to prank someone, then they are willing to pay for it. It's the simple joys that you try to innovate.

What kind of gambling games/routines do you have? Have you invented a game where you and your friends start?

Actually since from from the elementary grade, i know how to gambling anykinds of cards games, because we live in a squatter area and all my neighborhood is have  different kind of gambling vices like we called mahjong,tong-its cockfighting etc.,thats why when i become adult my mind is open up in all this  gambling games, theres a time  that we invented also a  games that we called  basketball betting, actually this games when we play a basketball  whoever who loss the games will paid a snacks of bread and icewater, with a small amount of coins and this things we always done everytime we feel bored and want a recreation.

I fairly know where you grow up mate, because I'm familiar with that kind of environment as well. Ever since I was a little we have this influence around like card games, cock fighting and even jai-alai (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jai_alai). That brings a lot of memory, feels nostalgic about it but I'm happy that some of my friends have really move up in ladder when we grow up and that place is different right now.

But since when I grow up, the influence was somewhat been fixed in my mind. So even I'm at work me and my buddies will bring out some card during free time and play poker to enhance our experience, although we are betting secretly.
8148  Economy / Economics / Re: market refresh or just a pump ? on: April 12, 2018, 07:34:23 PM
Hi today market goes green
as you can see in 1 houre perfomance everything changed is it the comeback or just a pump ? what you think about it what is going on ?

Really hard to say because its barely a day. For now I would say that its maybe a pump, but we need to see things in the next couple of days. Yes, double bottom was hit and it only makes sense for the market to bounce back after that. But I'm still looking for news that may trigger this sudden onslaught of investors pouring big cash in the market.

So lets see if this is the break out that we all be waiting for. Previously, when we had a breakout and every one says that the bearish trend is over, something bad happens and eventually it's collapses so I don't want to jinx the market but rather observe and see how it pans out specially this week, we need to find out if this is really sustainable or not.
8149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC on FOX 29: Poirier vs Gaethje Info and Prediction Thread on: April 12, 2018, 06:33:21 PM
I see only 2 interesting fights
Carlos Condit (30-11) vs. Alex Oliveira (17-5-1) (Welterweight)
Tim Boetsch (21-11) vs. Antonio Carlos Junior (9-2) (Middleweight)
I highlighted my pick. Others may give their best to give the viewers a good show but lately UFC is not booking those big names for an event. Is it because they are running out of good fighters or they just want to save the best for last 3 months of the year where they book great fighters and great fight card.

I agree with your pick mate. It looks like the card is not that stack up but I would also go with Dustin here. I like to watch his fight as specially against Pettis which is a thriller, they battle for almost three rounds as neither fighter doesn't want to give an edge. It was bloody as hell. Unfortunately, Pettis tap out.

As for Carlos Condit, it looks like after the injury he suffers, he is not the same man, and he is on a 3 fight losing streak. I was expecting him to win against Neil Magny, but the long lay-offs may have affected his losing performance.

Let's see how Tim Boetsch has ride his momentum after defeating the former champion Jhonny Hendricks. Júnior is also riding a 4 fight winning streak so its gonna be interesting fight to see as well.
8150  Economy / Speculation / Re: Seeing Green on: April 12, 2018, 05:34:25 PM
Guys i think our wish is now officially granted seeing all green like this makes me so happy, Glad that i invest some of my savings into Bitcoin, i'm excited to see the price Up to 10k+ by the end of the month.

Yes, it really feels good to see to finally see bitcoin getting into the green sound after a long and bearish trend. I think its the first that it has gotten above a 10% increased in 24 hours.

I'm happy that you stick with the market in the last couple of months eventhough that others have been saying that bitcoin will die soon and may go to $2K. But I will advise you not just to celebrate yet. We need to see the price to be sustainable at least in the next couple of weeks to say that we are really on the road to recovery. Just be patience and trust and just hold on your bitcoin for another month or so.
8151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has the Silver story on: April 12, 2018, 01:10:07 PM
What is this? another precious metal to bitcoin comparison? What happens to Gold 2.0 then? Is bitcoin not going to Gold's path and be the hedge and the investment platform that most people are going to?

Yes, I would have to agree that its a speculative asset, no one can really deny it, but comparing it against Silver is very flaw at the beginning. But if you are telling us the bitcoin price will go down in the next 10 years or so, I really doubt that it can happen just like Silver. Maybe bitcoin is really comparable to Gold, but Silver? Nah, I don't think so.
8152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan plans to become the Bitcoin capital of the world. on: April 12, 2018, 12:31:46 PM
I love how Japan is embracing the digital currency market. It is estimated that the Japanese economy can be boosted with extra $9.2M just from business involving cryptocurrencies. this will go on to ensure the emergence of many exchanges and other legit cryptocurrency based projects. There will be good competition in the cryptocurrency space and a concomitant increase in interests by individuals. Japan is making the right move for the future.

You also have to look at how they totally overcome the Mt. Gox heist that really put the whole crypto market in its knees. I personally thought that after Mt. Gox, Japan will become an anti-bitcoin nation. However, I was proven wrong because just last year, we see that they join the picture, and not only that took the torch from the Chinese.

So I wouldn't be surprise that in the next couple of years, Japan will the 'poster boy' for all crypto's not just bitcoin. And with that huge trading volumes per day and GMO mass producing its own hardware mining gear to challenge Bitmain's supremacy, we will see one day that everything crypto will revolves around Japan.
8153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your first betting? on: April 12, 2018, 05:36:14 AM
My first betting was when I was still young and my family went to a funfair in the summer. It was a fun bet because it's a game where you need to place your coin in a box where there is an item listed and you will win that item if you've placed your coin exactly in the box.
You have an interesting story about first betting. But if I have to talk about my first betting then the first thing that I would state about it is that it was not much joyful and excited experience at all. I had some colleagues who were already indulged in this and they once took me to a nearby casino where I had bet only ten pounds for the sake of dice game and i didn’t won at that time due to lack of interest and experiences.
I don’t know that why you didn’t become excited or happy on your first betting because it is something which you are completely unaware off. However, most of the people to whom I met and talk about their first gambling experience, they really become happy by recalling their moment and don’t become sad even if they had lost their first bet. I think the first bet you have done in your life would have left a very bad impact on your life.

Of course every one is happy placing their first bet whether what kind of gambling it is. And most of us really can recall that first experience eventhough its been years because its one of the greatest experience we can have specially as gamblers. Do I regret it?

Definitely not, because I was born on a gambling family, I mean they are not they heavily but recreational gamblers. So weekends my mother will play card games with my aunts and neighbors and my Father will put a bet or two in horse racing or other sports bet. So its like family bonding at our house with cards all over.  Grin
8154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I’m out on: April 12, 2018, 05:13:16 AM
I had a blood clot on my brain in late January and stroked out.By the time I got out of hospitals rehab a month later I’m seeing 85% losses, with no end in site. I can’t ride this rollercoaster any lower. I’ll be happy to escape with some profits now rather than ending up underwater. Good luck to all.
it's okay. you cant risk your health more buy checking market everyday. but i suggest you to not sell your assets and check it again next year. maybe your assets will go to moon Cheesy

Yes, I have to agree that he made the correct decision of exiting last month when bitcoin was not at this position if I'm not mistaken. Of course health comes first and you really need to prioritized it instead of having sleepless night because the market is crumbling down up to know.

But I do hope that the OP will have a clean bill of health already since its been what? a month since he open this thread and can slowly go back to the market and re-invest and probably don't do daily trading at it put too much stress. Much better to buy at this dip and just hold on it as long as you can.
8155  Economy / Speculation / Re: Future of crypto ? on: April 12, 2018, 04:38:37 AM
I am sure everyone over here are aware of current situation of crypto world and some have already speculated this to be the end of crypto era and says that's the reason for the dump in value of all the crypto coin ? But I think there were not much altcoins in the past and progress of bitcoin decided the value of altcoins as they pump when bitcoin pumps and dumps when bitcoin goes through a dump and I feel these market situation are temporary and bitcoin will soon be back to normal so as other altcoins.

Those people who are speculating that this is the end of crypto era needed a good slap in the face. How can they say that's it the end when the price is way above, gold and silver specially bitcoin and the market cap is still strong at $200 million. If crypto have died, it should be in its first 5 years, but we are still here, breathing, struggling but we are not out.

As far as bitcoin and altcoin price correlation, we can't deny that to an extend there is. But investors usually tend to just shift funds around so when bitcoin is down it doesn't mean that someone is dumping maybe they are just moving the funds in other coins. Soon this bearish trend will be over and those who are bitching around that bitcoin or crypto will be over is so wrong.
8156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Shyness in gambling on: April 12, 2018, 04:07:15 AM
Being shy or nervous sometimes occurs because you are still inexperienced and new. Of course you don't have to sit right away in a table you feel full of sharks and whales. The first thing to do is actually observe and participate when you feel comfortable.

I agree, when I was just starting my gambling journey in a landbase casino, I'm just a standing bettor, will just observe how those sitting gamblers are doing and I will just go with the flow. There was one instance though that I was a unaware about winning a bet in baccarat because its a super 6, meaning the pay is just half, but I didn't understand so I asked the dealer and I was so embarrassed because they are all looking at me.

But now I have totally overcome my shyness and even sitting at the table whenever I want. But yeah, at first you will be shy and embarrass but when you gain experience, I'm sure that you will be very comfortable and rubbing elbows with everyone in the table.
8157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JPMorgan Overcharged fee on: April 12, 2018, 03:46:55 AM
JPMorgan sued over fees for cryptocurrency purchases

I'll summary the sequence;
1. Called bitcoin a fraud.
2. Bought at dip
3. Regret calling bitcoin a fraud.
4. Overcharged cryptocurrency purchases.

The lesson here for those who are keep on spreading FUD in the forum about negative news. Try to learn and understand this technique made by Jamie Dimon. (Chairman and CEO of JPMorgan)

Yeah, Dimon And JPMorgan made a killing around September, riding all the Chinese FUD and attacking bitcoin and calling it a fraud. And later we found out that they bought huge amount of it and made a lot of profits. They are all laughing at us that time because weak hands have dumped their coins that's why they are able to buy a lot and then suddenly offload everything.

Another really hard lessons to learn specially for newbies. Don't be affected by FUD, because those who are really spreading false news about bitcoin is actually secretly buying in dips from behind and they are happy if you guys are easily swayed and pushing the sell button because they can get it at cheap price.
8158  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Preparing for a Huge Breakout? on: April 11, 2018, 07:28:15 PM
I agree that the price is somewhat stuck at around $6800 in the last couple of days and it seems that's its either investors are still waiting before putting their money, or there is a constant bulls vs bears fighting out.

I'm no TA expert but I wouldn't be surprise if there is a huge breakout as we have been in this bearish trend for so long now that its about time to see some semblance of a rally to bring the confidence of investors back to the ecosystem.

So yes, I will continue to hold for now and not do any shit move that will jeopardize my potential profits. Hope that the OP is right about his prediction so that we can finally breathe a sigh of relief.
8159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Relationships! on: April 10, 2018, 10:06:23 PM
Anyone who has ever been or are in a committed relationship or marriage where both people gamble? Or in a relationship with a gambler with a friend, best friend, family related etc...  Knowing you are in it together is weird comforting and gives me some sort of undefined explanation.

What does that look like for you? Your experience needs to be heard.

My father is heavy gambler. Not in a casino but in cockpit and card in some group of friends who bet big amount. It is very hard to have a gambler in the family especially if its your father because finances is uncertain. Our financial status is unstable and my parents always fight because of it. Its really hard.

Well my father is also a gambler, but I don't consider him a addicted one. But I'm sure that I inherited it from it. On the contrary, I didn't experience what you have gone through. Yes, we struggle financially but it not because of my father's gambling habits.

So I can say that it really depends, my mother is not a gambler, and I'm sure that she didn't condone my father's gambling habit but it didn't destroy their relationship. Maybe they understand what their priorities was at that time and my father just gamble (horse racing), just to have some fun and he knows his limit that why my mother is OK with that, I guess.
8160  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitfinex locked my 500 BTC account and is asking for police report on: April 10, 2018, 11:52:12 AM
It looks like that Bitfinex just wanted to make sure that you are the real owners of the account because that one fucking amount dude. One question though, how did you lose access to the account though? Or did you totally forgotten about it? I mean you just let it sit there? That's a dangerous thing to do I must say, why haven't you transferred it to a wallet like Electrum since you already have one?

I don't want to do that math but if you have 500 BTC and you have exchange it last December that's a ton shit of money mate. Just saying. I guess you have no choice but to comply with them, what they are asking can be provided by you isn't it? So make your move today instead of complaining so that you can get everything and let this be a lesson to you to have it in a hard wallet at least because its really a lot of money.
