James, get back to coding please. You're not making any sense with the uninformed anti-US rants   Grin

jl777 anti-US rants make sense to me

Only the intellectual people can see what's going on inside the USA. Most are much too busy, misinformed, or don't care.

Always need to distinguish between American people, who for the most part are nice people, and American global influence, which for the most part is very damaging now, and will only get worse. I'm far more scared of USA than China or Russia. Most Americans are unaware of how the world sees them, and get a rude shock when they travel to other countries and see how the rest of 'US' see them. A bit like that movie, 'the truman show', when the main character realises his whole life is totally fabricated ... 'the american dream'.

a friend of mine tells people he is from canada when he travels...doesn't want people to know he is american
Friend of mine does the same thing by basically only claiming his Australian citizenship when he travel's abroad (particularly to the middle east).  He has dual citizenship and says that 9 times out of 10 he goes with Aussie persona.  Said he even cranks up his aussie accent a bit to make it seem more authentic (not that he needs too, mofo sounds like Crocodile dundee to begin with) Smiley
822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you BitcoinTalk Community! Proof that you are all AWESOME! on: September 20, 2014, 03:01:09 AM
I can't even begin to describe how awesome it is to see this thread.  You two make a hella cute albeit kinda wild looking couple and the pictures from your wedding look like it was one helluva cool event.  I was particularly touched by what Noella did with having that fella Mike waiting at the airport.  I had a sneaking suspicion you where a good egg and donating bone marrow certainly qualifies in my book.

All the best to the two if you and many thanks for sharing your story and pictures.

Some of my faith actually restored in humanity as a whole once again Smiley

Thanks for the responses fellas.  I guess I just have some really poor luck when it comes to rdd :/

I've added a few additional coin's and will keep my wallet staking 24/7 for the next week or so and see if anything materializes.

"Money is the root of all evil."

Truer words where never uttered.

Insofar as the OP is concerned, yes I think it's possible.  Do I think it will happen in my lifetime?  Probably not.  So long as the USD is the world's reserve currency, the fat cat's will continue to enjoy providing their 'humanitarian aid' (i.e. food, water, guns, boots on the ground oh wait I mean 'advisers') and reaping the enormously fat profit's that war invariable brings the privileged few (lockheed martin, etc.).

these offers are pretty equal to mining cost..
If you mean in the sense that your pretty much garunteed to lose money I would have to agree with you.  However, at this point it's obvious that even mining would've been more profitable than investing in this coin.  No sense crying over lost satoshi's I suppose :/

Yeah I have around 3MIL and don't get that kind of payout daily.
Anybody else using reddcoin-qt v1.3.1.2 and actually receiving any staking income?  I have been staking 24/7 on this version of my wallet since 9/7 and still have yet to receive a single payout :/

Greetings Customer,

We understand there have been many changes in the market since you ordered from us and many of you are not comfortable with completing your order. After much consideration we have decided to give partial refunds to all customers who desire them as a gesture of goodwill from us. It is of course not possible to refund everybody in full for obvious reasons even if we wanted to (the vast majority of funds have now gone into the production of the miners so the funds remaining to us are limited).  For those who want this it is as simple as replying to this email (payments@alpha-t.net) with all your paid order numbers (deposit and final payment) asking for a refund; be sure to email from the same address as your order with us. If you have orders over multiple email addresses then please send multiple emails for each request (for security reasons). For everybody else it is business as usual; and will be sending out the details of our share scheme soon as well as further updates on our production. We would also like to apologize in the delay of refunds and some payment related queries; this has been resolved so for those waiting on payments most of you can expect your refund/payment issue to be dealt with any day now.

Best Regards,

Mohammed Akram
Director

And here is the key word.
nice one.  This is pretty absurd, essentially offering people 30 cents back on the dollar is absurd!  An obvious trap!

Does anyone know how to install the wallet on ubuntu via command line?
Shablamo.  Pay particular attention to the note at the bottom of the page regarding installing on Ubuntu v11.10

https://github.com/laowais/bitcoindark/blob/master/doc/readme-qt.rst

*Note, I haven't actually performed an install on Ubuntu to date but plan on getting a full node up and running in the next day or two.

Don't worry guys, KNC's gear is only delivering about 4 petahash this first batch, and about 5 next month. It's not that bad right? AT can still beat them to delivery, as they promised even weeks ago! They just have to deliver by close of business tomorrow!

Where are you getting petahash from?  This isn't sha256 mining and the KnC 1st batch is only 300Mh/s per unit currently.

It was a bit of a joke, some folks on here get that.

Actual numbers, KNC will be shipping anywhere from 900-1200gh this week, and next month 1200-1500gh (.9-1.5ph), with some even cooler stuff in the works.

Good thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=170332.38160

heh … what is a few extra zeros between friends, huh ? Vesperwillow needs to get his petahash and terahash straight !

~L)L~
Who knows...perhaps he was just factoring in all that extra hash alpha-t will be bringing online this month :p

A friend of mine just tried to purchase one of their $20 trading shares for bitcoin and told me they where getting a 'Bitcoin client error'.  Guess they might be saving themselves $20 worth of bitcoin if this does end up turning out to be a hustle of some sort.

The firt batch of alpha testing license will be released.

Dear investors,

We have received many license application forms.
The firt batch of alpha testing will be released to the investors whom be verified.
For each batch of license will be released by a unified form,
If there is any investor want to get the license but did not send the application to us,
Please send the application form to us asap,
So as not to miss this chance, thank you.

Best regards.
I'm a little unclear about what's going on here. Are you giving us first crack at using your arb service before you put it on the market or what? nwfella, anymore feedback?
Nope.  Haven't heard anything back from them yet which is surprising given they are making announcements on CS regarding the imminent release of their product's testing phase.  Starting to get a bit worried, will see if they respond to another e-mail this evening and let you know if I hear anything.  So far this trading between exchanges stuff by hand works but it's tedious as <beep>.

Have been staking ~160,000 rdd's for the past 7 days and still have yet to receive my first payout :/
836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: September 14, 2014, 06:20:18 PM
Do bitmain have any chips?

That press release says they still have simulations, which means that they haven't even taped out yet. If that is the case, that means they won't have chips in hand until December.

I'm guessing that this can only be KNC titan, or equally possibly MAT (their cloud mining service opens tomorrow).
Excellent point.  I think your right, they probably haven't even tapped out yet so it probably isn't Bitmain after all.

Definitely agree with jrose's comment about Alpha monthly delays being measured in dog years though.  At this rate, even if by some miracle they do end up shipping by the end of the month, not a single unit will ever ROI in and of itself.  So, unless this alleged shareholder bonus that they can't release any information about helps pad that loss somewhat, even in the best case scenario of people receiving their hardware they will still end up losing out in the end :/
837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: September 14, 2014, 05:10:38 AM
400 GH of scrypt hash-power just appeared out of nowhere - that's nearly 50% of yesterday's total hash power.

Someone, somewhere has just taken delivery of some serious scrypt ASICs which work. I'm guessing that this is not alpha.

Titan's pre-shipping test ?

My guess would be Bitmain.  Check it out mein.

Also interested in checking out this proof of solvency.  I have only invested a small amount of bitcoin into a few of their trading pool shares and thus far have been cashing out ok, but really wanting to know if this thing is going to be sticking around until my 4 month contracts run out :/
839  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to pay for miner with Bitcoin on: September 13, 2014, 05:59:05 PM
If you are basically holding your bitcoins in your coinbase wallet so you don't have to worry about downloading the entire blockchain with bitcoin-qt and if your still worried about the amount of time it might take to pay your bitcoin invoice on bitmain you might want to consider transferring however many satoshi's you'll need to pay for the bitmain invoice over to a blockchain.info wallet.  Payments from blockchain.info in my experience has been a bit faster than when I pay for something out of coinbase wallet(s).  Additionally you have the benefit of your address basically being available immediately without having to wait 2-3 days for the blockchain to download to a local wallet.

Today's ScryptX dividend: 0.00007681/share

I suspect next dividend will be closer to 5500-6000 tops.  Road to nowhere and in a hurry.
