821  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will the hacker contact bitfinex? on: October 23, 2016, 12:48:16 AM
Bitfinex is begging again, what do you think whether the hacker will bite the bait?

Bfx still  have control over those coins.... To think they were "hacked"  by an outsider is absurd....

822  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price we would be at if Btifinex disaster didn't happen? on: October 22, 2016, 07:49:26 PM
Well, regardless of what the price would be had the Bitfinex debacle not happened, it does appear it is still in the process of correction and eventually we will get to that price - the price that would have been if the Bitfinex fiasco didn't happen. Essentially, the Bitfinex thing just caused a delay in the price getting to where it "should" be.

you couldnt be much more wrong if your serious ..........
823  Other / MultiBit / Is there a bug in multibit that makes the correct passphrase not work? on: October 22, 2016, 07:00:24 AM
I read some older posts about people complaining that their 100% correct password sometimes wouldn't unlock the wallet...

Is there any chance of this happening in the current version and if it does happen, are those bitcoins lost forever?

How could this even happen in the first place anyway?
824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 21, 2016, 09:10:56 PM
Ask yourself one very important question:
When the GUI is out, which reason do all those DNM users have to use BTC over XMR?

volatility

You never heard about hedging?

Not sure what you mean, if I hold 50XMR in my DNM wallet today I can buy 20 xtc pills and next week maybe only 10? That's not very convenient when on the other hand bitcoin is relatively stable

I also created an account in alphabay and dream marketplace, it seems like those DNM sites take BTC though mixers by default so they are hard to trace.. not sure why XMR is needed. But it does make me feel more at ease I guess.

Also, I think XMR will eventually recover but we are in for a bear market that will probably last a few months. I admire that you are the only person here who is still keeping up the bullish sentiment.

He isnt the only one ,i am still adding to my XMR stack but its pointless to argue with the tards like NRG and all his alt accounts ........let them keep droping cheap XMR and il keep picking it up .........Wink
825  Other / MultiBit / Re: Multibit HD no longer works with Trezor in Win 10? on: October 20, 2016, 08:21:19 PM
I have not been able to get my Trezor recognized by electrum or Multibit HD in Windows 10. I have updated firmware and trezor bridge. Strangly enough mytrezor.com works fine, but neither electrum or Multibit recognize the trezor at all, though I do hear the windows usb noise when I plug it in. Can anyone tell me how to get multibit hd to recognize it again, I really don't care about electrum.
Thanks

Might be safer using a keepkey instead of a Trezor now on multibit, since keepkey owns multibit now they might support their own hardware better...
826  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: October 19, 2016, 09:06:04 PM
i am interested in both, if i like to keep safe my assets then i will surely pick gold, but if i want to invest my assets for making money then i will certainly pick up bitcoin.

Me too I'm interested to invest both because has always been there for a lot of years already so that this is going to be a trusted investment.

And the price of gold is keep on increasing in the long run so if you are going to hold this then for sure you are going to earn good profit.

The same thing with bitcoin so they are the same.
More than one investment is always better but always consider your capacity to invest, I like gold but I love bitcoin because I am just trying to be realistic and only invest what I can afford, with bitcoin, I am willing to gamble for my future because I believe on the future of bitcoin.

You have  a point, even we would choose   gold  but the  main problem is  out capacity  to invest on because as  we all know gold investments are expensive  and not all have the capacity to make  investments with it thats  why we have  no choice  but  we would definitely choose  bitcoin because  we could  only invest on small amounts.
All the same, gold will remain a priority for all those involved in financial matters. This metal since ancient times has been the subject of exchange between people.

This is the digital age, btc is liteyears more versatile than gold and unless you are living in some cave worshipping your piece of gold ..... The bitcoin will have a much more potential for usage and for multiplication of value...
827  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell my stocks buy bitcoin... on: October 19, 2016, 08:35:13 PM
Why buying bitcoins right now i dont want to buy bitcoins right now did you see the price of the coin that is to high for real and i am not going to buy
bitcoins for more than 600 dollar lol.

I remember saying the same thing as you, when bitcoin passed $10
I stopped buying because I thought they're getting "too expensive"  lol
Keep that in mind because sometimes 800-1000-1500-2000 might come a lot faster than you think....
828  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the least amount that can be called a 'decent' investment? on: October 19, 2016, 08:21:49 PM
The best strategy is to keep buying a little with whatever you can afford whenever you get spare cash... The btc will appreciate if you have patience and give  it time

Avoid the scams that promise 1% a day etc and just hodl hope bitcoin in some cold storage, any small amount of bitcoin today will be worth a lot by 2020 etc so whether  you can afford $10 or $100 or $1000 a month you will make great  returns....
829  Economy / Speculation / Re: It took only 11 days to go from 639 to 1148 last time on: October 19, 2016, 02:30:29 AM
Btc is one of the only assets that can gain 20% in a day for no apparent reason.... I hope everyone is prepared and stocked up the current price because sometimes/usually the price jumps so fast there is no time to get  money on to exchanges etc...

You either already have the coins, or you don't.... Wink
830  Economy / Speculation / Re: $BTC Market Was Simply Too Bullish... on: October 19, 2016, 01:56:34 AM
I really hope that the price will still go down. Because for me I still want to invest in bitcoin. I'm planning for a long term investment thats why I want the bitcoin to go down.
I think you better keep buying at the current price also because it looks like next big pump is coming soon to drive price over $700 within this month. It will never be late to invest in bitcoin as price have lot of space to grow in future.
Yeah it is better to buy now in my opinion too.  The fact that bitcoin market at this point is bullish the possibility of bitcoin price increasing is very huge.  People might regret it if they don't act now and wait for sometime and jump in later at the higher price because they will think the bitcoin price will not stop increasing.  This means lesser profit from the late buyers.

I would also buy immediately whatever you can afford, the price is threatening to shoot upwards every day

The risk of waiting is it might shoot to 800+ and a dip. Might only drop. It to the 750 range

Get them now and relax if you have cash AND DON'T LOSE YOUR PRIVATE KEYS!!!

I am still using the old version, made by jim
I have not upgraded to the new version, made by keepkey

The older version is working without problems so far
833  Other / MultiBit / Re: MAJOR usability issue with Multibit - doesn't show where coins were sent to(!) on: October 16, 2016, 01:34:22 AM
But I read somewhere that Multibit is easier to use compared to Electrum and you do not have to pay transaction fees if you wish.

Why would you wish to not pay a tiny fee and wait for days??
834  Economy / Speculation / Re: It took only 11 days to go from 639 to 1148 last time on: October 15, 2016, 10:14:08 PM
Better to see that big pump again but we may have to wait for really big good event to happen to see such price ride again.

how can a big pump leading to a big bubble be a good thing? and trust me, you won't make profit from it because when price of anything is going up like that you will always think there will be more so you will wait for 2000,3000,10000.... and don't sell and prices like these don't last long and before you know it price drops back down to $600 (in case such pump happens)

Let's be realistic  if the price pumped to $10,000 it would not fall all the way back to 600

In that event, 600 would be a memory, just  like buying a bitcoin for under  $10 is now for us....
835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 15, 2016, 01:36:53 PM
Most here had the opportunity to sell at 0.02 but no one did. At 180 no one did at 135 no one did. You had your chance to make money and you failed hard. And you will fail again if a new ATH will come  Roll Eyes

Am I alone when i say that i think that the bottom is reached? 150 looks pretty stable atm there are no more panic sellers who are selling their coins with loss -seems to me. I think now its a good time to reinvest.

Genius.

LOL.  Grin

The delusion is strong in this one. Time to re-post this I think:

I think we need this again!  Cheesy

@adolf

don't feed trolls. Just put them on ignore list Smiley They get more and more aggressive cause they lost money with every % of falling prices seeing their money fade away. Meanwhile you can buy more and more cause you sell and rebuy low. As more they hate you as more you do well, never forget this Smiley its a sign of success and doesnt differ from reality. Not everybody can win in trading. Few become rich some become/stay poor.

Yeah, coz everyone should listen to experts with 4 week old accounts.... Rofl

838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 13, 2016, 10:42:40 AM

I guess Adolf comes within 24 hrs telling us he cannot take this anymore and sells his coins with small loss in order to buy back 3 % lower again.

some people were born losers andf just grew bigger
pay no attention to their braindead drivel ......XMR will have a new ATH over 0.03 and after that the sky is the limit Wink
839  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at $6000 and Top Altcoins at $600? on: October 10, 2016, 01:10:49 AM
Well yes it is possible but is it realistic? If you ask me, it is not because bitcoin is not an altcoin anymore. It's grown to a more stable asset and if the time is right it can increase in price, but surely not 10 times the current value. That would be far too optimistic.
bitcoin is not an altcoin anymore ? what does it mean, bitcoin created this market and how can that be an alternative to some other coin? bitcoin does have its market value and i do not think it will come down in near future, having an alt coin at the mentioned price is an unrealistic value at this moment in time.

you should check out monero Wink
840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: October 09, 2016, 06:08:17 PM
WHAT?  It seems I lost my ethers!  I had to download the entire chaindata because of the latest patch.   My Balance show 0!
My address is 0xb1C91D5c302A73C1047b0ce676DaBd055Ac3C684
When I look at the blockchain it still show that I have balance..  https://etherchain.org/account/0xb1C91D5c302A73C1047b0ce676DaBd055Ac3C684#txreceived

you still have 2.99 ETH in that address.....
but the wallet is FUBAR

I downloaded the whole BC.. What to do now..  Another wallet?  Is the ethereum-wallet compatible with mist?   Damn...

i have no ideas ,i cant even get my wallet to sync on latest GETH
ive heard there are using solutions using PARITY instead of GETH but i dont know it well enough to recommend it
i have 30k eth  frozen in limbo
i am not a programmer so i shall not take any risks of replay attacks or lost coins  until the foundation release a fix but this is F@cking Sh1t
having to wait several days to see if my wallet will sync /or not
