8201  Economy / Economics / Re: government and crypto collide on: March 30, 2018, 01:49:43 AM
What is the possibility effect of this in both side
Are this  a good thing to happened
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-02-12/why-governments-might-join-the-cryptocurrency-craze-quicktake

Quote
1. Who is pushing the idea?

Venezuela’s president, Nicolas Maduro, is pitching a proposed virtual currency he calls the Petro, each unit of which would be backed by one barrel of oil. According to Maduro, the country received $5 billion in purchase offers in the first week of presale in February.

Maduro is pushing petro to get away with the US led sanctions against them. Well, he says they raised tons of money, but I don't believed that is the case.

Quote
2. Which other countries are considering cryptocurrencies?

Russia’s central bank plans to talk to countries including Brazil, China, India and the five former Soviet republics about creating a supra-cryptocurrency that could cover countries with 40 percent of the world’s population. People’s Bank of China Deputy Governor Fan Yifei wrote an article broaching the possibility of a digital currency it would issue with Chinese commercial institutions.

Again, this is totally wrong. Russia has no plans to adopt crypto currency. They already have cryptorubles which they created to satisfy Russian's population appetite for crypto. But I don't think it will be enough to swayed them.

I won't go into details because there is a lot of contradictions, flawed argument on this article. Short term, government going against crypto is bad for us. Long term effect, crypto is unstoppable not even Russia or China can stop this revolution.
8202  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: www.cryptocoon.io - New way to Invest Cryptocurrency!? on: March 30, 2018, 01:06:18 AM
Nah, I wouldn't put even a single satoshi as investment dude. Most likely this is just a Ponzi or HYIP as others have pointed out so better be careful as that's how they usually operated at the beginning. They will give you some returns initially, so you will be encourage to put more, but you are already suckered and the last thing you know they run out with you and other investors money.

I can't even find a legit review on the website and its seems that it is somewhat protected or restricted as I can't find anything on the registration or even the address and name associated with www.cryptocoon.io.

So my verdict is just to stay away.
8203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is It To Late For Me To Buying Bitcoin? on: March 30, 2018, 12:42:02 AM
If you really thinks that bitcoin will go on a massive pump later, then you should be happy because the price is at a discount right now. Go buy and purchase as many as you can and just Hodl on it.

So I guess there's no such thing as being late in their party because it offer us a opportunity to join when the price is very cheap. Many have bailed out already, but its we are not that late to join the party today and enjoy later.

Don't listen to people with their doomsday scenario, we may be down but we are far away from being out.

8206  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-24] Quebec Pushes Hydropower Utility to Halt New Bitcoin Mines on: March 26, 2018, 12:45:57 AM
After green started screaming about the fact that energy production is killing the nature, the governments of many countries ceased to develop power. I think I now need to reconsider this decision. I do not believe green. It seems to me that they are hired to destroy competitors. I hope that Canada will not fight with the miners.

No, as what has @darkangel11 has said, the demand was to high for Quebec that why they have to push miners because Quebec can't cope with the demands from bitcoin miners. So it only makes sense for them to halt them.

What the miners can't do is just shift to other nations with abundance of electricity and very cheap. So at least all mining farms not are evenly divided across the globe as opposed to China having a complete monopoly.
8207  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin so down on: March 26, 2018, 12:08:09 AM
Why Bitcoin came so low in 2018 january to march
All the guess people were saying that Bitcoin would touch 25k$ but why did not it happen ?

Well there was one good argument that the Mt. Gox trustee started to offload the bitcoins starting from Dec-Mar which may have put a dent on the price. Coincidentally, its only the time that it seems we can't really take off from the ground, when everything seems to be ripe for a bull run, this guys dump, causing the market to crash several times.

And not with the government and central banks attacks, plus lots of FUD, we are struggling to keep above $8K now, so that $25K will be just a dream. But its just the start of another quarter so don't be frustrated, it will eventually come and we might see bitcoin attempts another all-time-high before the end of the year.
8208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin future on: March 25, 2018, 10:41:09 PM
I think bitcoin prices will increase in the next few years, if seen from every year until early 2018, bitcoin prices continue to rise, but at this moment I'm so confused why bitcoin prices even tend to go down.

I guess you really need to do you homework and go around the forum and look as to why the price is going south.

There is no doubt that Bitcoin will be the currency of future. Transactions of Bitcoin are increasing rapidly. It will turn into human resources in the future. Bitcoin also has a number of benefits that government-issued and government-backed currencies simply cannot offer. Many people are worried about the future of traditional currencies. Many people see Bitcoin as a natural hedge against the risk of traditional currencies, as well as a valuable safe haven should a crisis occur.

I don't know what you do mean by bitcoin will be the currency of the future. Well obviously the future looks bright because we have been in the defense from a lot of attacks from different nation across the globe which means that they doesn't want this 'disruptive technology' to take off. However, bitcoin is unstoppable and within the next 5 years, we may see the price ranging from $50K-$100K or even more.
8209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the governments ban all privacy cryptocurrencies ? on: March 25, 2018, 10:20:24 PM
I'm considering to buy and hold some privacy coins for long term. I read some articles and they said governments are taking harsh stances on privacy coins. Do you think they will ban all privacy cryptocurrencies by prohibiting exchanges to list those coins?

Good question. Right now it still hasn't attracted that much attention from the government because they are busy attacking bitcoin but I'm sure that it is already in their radar. But I'm sure that when privacy coins grow exponentially in the next 5 years, I'm sure that the government will target it because we all know what privacy coins is, to hide everything from the prying eyes of everyone including governments.

So I wouldn't be surprise will go after Monero or Zcash or any other privacy coins in the future. I don't know what steps they gonna take, but I'm sure it's more harsher than bitcoin, probably a ban, but I don't know if they can go as further as prohibiting exchanges. Its a free market, they might as well close those exchanges instead of prohibition, and it will be difficult for them to make them comply specially DEX.
8210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: London Stock Exchange fighting against Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency on: March 25, 2018, 09:40:22 PM
Hello,

I work for a company associated with the London Stock Exchange and I thought to share this information with you.

Recently during a ceremony, one of the officials announced that they will do everything possible to stop people from investing in CryptoCurrencies. Not just the London Stock Exchange, but other major stock exchanges are threatened. They are worried people are not investing in the stock market and are moving towards cryptocurrencies. Therefore they said that they will take measures to drive people away by emphasizing different risks associated with cryptocurrencies.

I was wondering if these big companies could actually pose a risk to the future of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies? Do they have enough power?

Short term, yes, this, Long term I doubt that can pose a risk. Of course they have the power, however, it will not be enough to stop bitcoin and crypto currency. What they can do is put a reminding to people, however, do you think that they will heed their call? I don't think so.

This is a free market and everyone in stocks or crypto is in for the profit, how can you stop guys in making more money? I'm seeing that the more they try to stop people from investing, the more it will generate enough buzz and curiosity that will resulted in more people pouring cash into the ecosystem.
8211  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future price of bitcoin? on: March 25, 2018, 09:20:04 PM
Well , I can not agree that the price of bitcoin for the future will be known by anyone. What we just do is assumption because last year, no body expected price to surge the way it did the last few weeks to the end of last year. The price is expected to go higher than $10,000 certainly.

Right. Nobody was expecting bitcoin to reach almost $20K, but it did. We speculate that it could go as high as $5K only. While this year, we started at the wrong foot and it seems that we can't get anything going and the price keeps going down from $13K to as low as $5500.

But I'm still expecting that at least we can still finished this year in the 5 figures. There could be a lot of things that could happen along the way. So expect the unexpected. So if we really wanted to profit, we can go and purchase today and see how it goes before the end of the year.
8212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: March 25, 2018, 03:55:12 PM
Does somebody know if Antetokounmpo will play tonight or no? Either way, I don't think they will have any problems against unmotivated Bulls who will most likely be tanking for the rest of season.
Funny thing I was just looking at the Bulls last 10 games and they haven't won too many games.
They the worst team there is right now with only beating Memphis twice and that team has only 11 wins this season.
The Bulls definitely need to do something in the offseason or hope they get a good draft pick so they can have another Jordan like player again to bring it all back to Chicago. Because right now they are the joke of the league.

Yeah, you are right. It's sad to see one of the biggest franchises in the history of NBA. Btw, how do you comment Grizlies who lost by 61 points to Hornets who btw don't have chance to win Play-off spot??? Just LOL

They are on a rebuilding stage and eventually they can find a good players that would help the bulls to become a threat again.
Every team has their time, look at the Sixers, they are consistent to be non performing for many seasons but now they are already battling
in the coming playoffs, and not only that, they have become a threat on the way they played now.
Bulls produce the best basketball player of all time, not sure what happen to this franchise after trying to be a competitive team with Drose before,
can't see the reason why they can't find good selections of players, or they are just not the same management before who can really scout players
and knows how to build up the players together with the coaching staff.

Well its very competitive out there, not only the players side, but in the back or front office as well. The management really needs to find the perfect team before achieving championship level and it seems they are still looking for it.

Look at how Golden State did, they advanced to their first NBA finals since 1975 in 2014-2015 season. So it like 40 fucking years before getting the correct pieces together. Hiring Kerr and then making Steph Curry that player that he is today.
8213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC experience for young people on: March 25, 2018, 03:38:47 AM
BTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTC

Hey, I'm not old but I'm closer to old than young. I was fortunate to get into the stock market early and even a couple ipo's which led me into real estate etc. so now I'm in crypto, follow it, read it still trying to figure it out. Anyway, although everyone is now talking Bitcoin I think this story has sent a message about saving and investing to younger people. I don't think speculation is a good lesson but the ability to do more with ur money than spend it or gain no interest in a bank account is a good thing and I only learned it by listening to others as I was making my way.

100% correct, and you are really lucky that you have involved yourself that early in stocks and crypto. If I can go back in time I will go to stocks as early as 18 years old. My father was very vocal about it when we I was young and keep telling me to invest early in stocks. But I didn't listen, so that's one regret in my entire life.

Yes, just don't be that greedy and I think you will do good with your investment. I think you are very intelligence and I'm sure that you will take care of your money and not just spend it to material things.
8214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: G20 Summit can make a trend reversal? on: March 25, 2018, 02:08:28 AM
The G20 certainly has a good effect for the price, we can see from the beginning of 2018 the price has decreased, and if until after the G20 has decreased I think the logic that happens is cryptocurrency will decline and there is no significant development. can be optimistic if the price will be normal and high after the G20 conference is completed.

Personally, I was afraid that the G20 meeting will really bring us more bad news as we have heard that certain countries like France and Germany are really clamoring for a universal regulation.

But fortunately for us, its a total reversal, the G20 thing really brought a lot of good news that's why we have seen the market goes from $75xx-$9K and we even rode a 3 days highs.

Unfortunately, its not enough to sustained the market run as we goes down again. But at least, we are all up and very nervous because its really a big impact to us and its nice to see that it went on our favor.
8215  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-23] Yahoo Japan to Launch Cryptocurrency Exchange in 2018, Says Report on: March 25, 2018, 01:33:14 AM
Really no surprises as all if we see Japan + crypto. in one sentence. Just proves that they are really carrying the torch as far as moving the crypto market.

I'm sure that Yahoo Japan see's big opportunities to take a slice on the large pie, so it really make sense to join the bandwagon and get a good head start. I think this could bring a positive impact to the market to a certain level.

I can't say anymore, let's see how it pans out and as welcoming news always coming from Japan.
8216  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is trend Now? on: March 25, 2018, 01:17:09 AM
I find the current trend is to hold coin worth, trading habits should change because it is really complicated and difficult to bring profit, stay away from the ponzi model and lending ico. That is my advice, and you, see the current trend like?  Huh Huh

The trend now is bitcoin will difficult to survive. I don't know the reason but people are worried about the price of bitcoin falling. Because many bitcoiners have loses now because of the price. But if bitcoin will recover and continue to rise up, everybody is going to earn a big profit.

What the do mean difficult to survived? Again, even though that the price is going up and down doesn't mean that we are almost dying. That's the nature of bitcoin. The worries of most of us came from the peak of December. We all hope that the price go really go as high as $20K-$50K, but what happens? If suddenly crashes together will our hopes.

However, all of us should remember how bitcoin has started, it came from nothing and every year its gaining ground, we might be in difficult times today, but I'm pretty confident that it will bounce back and we can say at the end that it's good that we stick with it and didn't panic and sold everything during the crisis.
8217  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: investing in hyip sites? on: March 24, 2018, 02:01:49 AM
There are thousands of hyip sites running in internet and most of the time many people still investing in that scheme. The good thing about of investing in hyip sites is you can earn 200% or more  ROI in your total  investment like it said. like hell ? its obviously SCAM ! ! ! ! .  and also many people are still investing in that same shit even though they know it or they even scammed before. change your lifeeeee ! , your taking risk from trash source.

I guess one time or another, most of us have been deceived by so called HYIP. I still remember that I was really encourages to put some investment and I'm happy that I'm earning like every week so I continue to reinvest and just looking at the calendar and counting how much profit I should me making.

But lo and behold, the site went into maintenance and I can't withdraw and sadly, most of us have been scam. Really hard lessons but I took it and said that I will never be scammed again.

Thanks for the warning though.
8218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible for the cryptomarket to catch up? on: March 24, 2018, 01:43:48 AM
Atleast January 9th this year, my crypto investment was $50,000. I checked it today and it has dropped low to $9860.
I am very sad.
Please is there any chance the market will recover and i will get my $50,000 back?

I'm pretty sure that you have nightmares seeing your portfolio going down. But hey, you are not the only one suffering. Almost everybody, although I have investments, but its not big as yours. It just really sad and felt very frustrated that after enjoying so much money in December, comes the suffering.

But don't give up, don't cut your losses by selling, but instead just continue to hold because I very positive that one way or another we will bounce back and can get to at least break even mid year. So just hold your horses and don't do something stupid that you will regret later.
8219  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-22] BTC Price Falls as Markets React to (False) Japan Binance Thread on: March 24, 2018, 01:24:40 AM
Unfortunately, market is very sensitive towards this kind of announcements. Hope it will win those $500 as soon as possible

WOW. Just observation, I just you are really a newbie. Every single negative news (fake or not) will really tip the price to the opposite side as this market is very fragile as this moment. And it made a -$500 swing in just short amount of time. However, today I saw the price climbs as high as $8900 only to dropped again to $8700. hahaha,

Talking about volatility. Its weekends so I'm expecting that there will be some king of minor dups again. But at least $8K will be a good start for the week of March and just maybe $9K ballpark will be met again before this month ends. Let's see how it pans out.
8220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mandela's Gold Hands Sculpture purchased with Bitcoin for $10 million on: March 24, 2018, 12:46:56 AM
This will somewhat bring a lot of attention to bitcoin and the whole crypto market as well. We would have thought that some kind of historical value will be purchased by Bitcoin? No one. So I think its a needed boost to the already fragile market.

I hope though that it will set a precedence as well, and then we will see in the future the most auctions houses across Europe and North America accepting bitcoins as mode of payment. We will see how it goes in the next 5-10 years.
