8341  Economy / Speculation / Re: New ATH on: February 18, 2018, 12:25:13 AM
Bitcoin has now recovered after those downfall in just a few days. It's a good sign that we will have a new all time high this year. Analysing the new trend, it can reach $15k next month March. Hope new buyers will now join and invest as the price has getting stronger. Keep holding.

We have past $11K based on coinmarketcap ($11,112.7). Where are all the doom sayers now?

I'm very bullish about bitcoin so I think in the next coming weeks it will get to a new all-time-high. But again, I want it to be slow and doesn't have to be pump artificially because we all know what's gonna happened next, it might crash again.

I'm sure that new buyers are getting into the picture, pushing the price. Maybe those investors are new, or old dogs who have been in the line, waiting to see how the market reacts, and now seeing that everything has settled down and bouncing back, goes back and pour their cash into the ecosystem. Its barely the second week of Feb. so anything can happen, but I'm positive that we are in for a rally.
8342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hottest News! on: February 17, 2018, 11:59:36 PM
current news? it is good to see that bitcoin is pumping again after the dip, although it is not enough yet to say that bitcoin is soon to recover. by means of news, i dont want to read any news about crypto currency mostly in bitcoin, because after all FUD news before it is sad to say that more investors are believing on that, and creates more panic on some newbie investors that can cause of bitcoin price drop.
Well, that on its own is pretty much good news anyway. After the long days of red, it is good to see some greens like fresh air surrounding the whole atmosphere. I also have some personal good news which is the fact that I have been making transactions these days on bitcoin and it has really made me miss those days of very fast transactions. Once the FOMOs come back now, there we will end up going again.

Hope to see a fast growth again!

Good to see that market have recovered!!!. Truly amazing that everyone is green and are going to hit its previous highs. But I would rather see a slow growth. We don't want to get into the situation that we witnessed last December. There are irresponsible buyers that time who thinks that bitcoin is a get rich scheme, but they got burned along the way.

A steady growth is somewhat nice to see, no irrational buyers, the price doesn't look too artificial and so called experts will jump on and says that its a bubble waiting to be burst.

Let's see how it goes but I'm confident that we are totally out of trouble for now and may see all-time-highs. See you all at the other side.
8343  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Wallet Suggestions? on: February 17, 2018, 11:20:26 PM
Here you go:

https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

Choose what wallet fits your need. Personally I used the following wallet:

(1) Electrum - the best desktop wallet I have used because its lightweight and easy to used. You just need to download the latest because there was a vulnerability in the old version. Supports Segwit address as well.

(2) MEW - for my tokens and Ethereum. But used with extreme caution though. Keep your password and private key safe.

(3) Green Address - another online wallet that I also used. Very secure. Also supports Segwit.

So its really up to you on how you are going to protect your crypto's. Strong passwords, 2FA don't share your private key to someone you don't know, may backups.

Just take your time to read everything from the link I posted and you will be fine. Goodluck.
8344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Kill The Income Tax on: February 17, 2018, 10:52:19 PM
That's may be the reason why some countries are banning bitcoin and the cryptocurrencies because they already know that cryptos are decentralized so they can not intervene its operation. So whatever transaction is made in the blockchain, banks don't have any share of that, IMO.

Exactly, initially though, bitcoin and other crypto are not in the radar of the government, however, everything changes specially when it boom last year. The government wants a piece of the piece, so they are either going to ban it or just put a heavy regulations and get tax from us.

I think you guys should read this.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/irs-uses-chainalysis-to-track-down-bitcoin-tax-cheats

US have been using this software to track and hunt down citizens who are not paying taxes. So I think bitcoin will not kill the income tax in my opinion.
8345  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC rich 14K$ till this Sunday? on: February 17, 2018, 10:27:14 PM
As you know BTC rise from 6K to 10K for two-weeks. History shows that after such a two-week gradual ascent follow an uncontrolled pump which could to raise the price exactly as much as it was in last two weeks in percentage. And I have a question: Should we expected the great rise of BTC (to 14K$) this Sunday 18.02.18?

I think we shouldn't put too much expectation as of now. We should enjoy what we are seeing and don't delved our selves with how much the price of bitcoin could go in the next coming weeks. Don't get me wrong, I'm very bullish about it, but I would rather see bitcoin price gaining in a slow phase.

Right now, the next mental barrier is $12K, so for me this should be our short term goal. If we are going to reach this, then I believed we are going to see bitcoin touching a new all-time-high. So eventually $14K will be surpass whether we like it or not.  Smiley
8346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How's the Bitcoin moving forwards? on: February 15, 2018, 07:14:01 AM
As we know, the dramatic drop in the price of Bitcoin began after some countries announced their intention to introduce new laws surrounding cryptocurrencies because of its freedom. France wants the world’s top economies to debate bitcoin regulation this year. Meanwhile, central banks around the world are testing their own digital currencies.

Yesterday, bitcoin rising with its price climbing to more than $9,000 and hit a record high as the cryptocurrency hit its highest price for a week. Also, expert warns bitcoin value has further to fall before stabilising.

• How's the Bitcoin moving forwards?
• Is Bitcoin's bubble about to burst?
• What should I do next?

I'm asking myself these questions and get no answers. I need your supports, guides, and helps to understand what actions to take next.

Its moving on a positive direction last time I checked so I would say that there's a lot of investors who are now going back to the ecosystem. Clear sign that the bearish market is about to end or ended already.

Bitcoin bubble? Well if has been burst several times already. So its gonna be a cyclical. Bitcoin goes up, bubble burst according to experts, then relative bearish sentiments prevail, then bitcoin rising up again.

I guess the best thing to do is just buy it now because its still at a discount. It is still below 4 digit mark and sooner we are going to see it touching $10K and we may never look back again.
8347  Other / Archival / Re: Too many vulnerability/Hacks on: February 15, 2018, 06:50:01 AM
I’m not sure if this is the right section. Mods feel free to move it

The past three years have seen attacks on the Bitcoin more than the rest of the years. [more than 8 attacks]
In the past two months, more than one vulnerability discovered.
In your opinion, what caused all this?
Is the problem in protecting these services "wallets and exchange sites"?Or that the increase in the value of Bitcoin encouraged hacker?
Technically: Are the wallets strong enough to protect our bitcoins or we will see more attacks?

See also Top 5 Biggest Bitcoin Hacks Ever

Hackers find stealing crypto's and bitcoin as very lucrative business nowadays specially when the prices skyrocketed. And I believed that's its not just one person who is attacking, but they are group of hackers who will pinpoint certain exchanges and see how can they exploit the system.

It doesn't matter how long those guys take to attack and find the vulnerability, as long as they can execute and stole anything that they can get their hands to.

As far as wallets, the community is very active (reddit) reporting possible exploits. And devs are also active to upgrade their software such as we saw during the Electrum vulnerability.

I would say that we are going to see more bold attacks in the future. As customers, we need to be one step ahead, protect our coins at all cost.
8348  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-02-14] Bitcoin Price Spikes to $9,300 as Bulls Notch Another Victory on: February 15, 2018, 05:45:38 AM
In past days I have red a lot of opinions of traders, large part of them are certain that there will be another big dip and this is just a bull trap. Some of them are saying that bear market is over.

I don't know what you are reading but I'm looking at a lot of bullish trend lately, and pointing about bitcoin will start to pick the price and make significant runs in the next coming weeks. No need to be cautious now as I don't see any bulltrap as the gains its already sustainable. We are not  going below $9k, which is a good sign in my view.

Your post has some valuable input and interesting details about Okex and volume.

I am cautiously optimistic about current price situation , I hope that Bear market is over . I believe that today's action is good sign especially because of this future expiration.

Let's say, we continue to observed the market, few hours ago I saw it trading at $93xx but significant gains is made to well above $96xx. $10K will be broken in the next coming days or early this week and then fairly out of dangers against bulltraps.
8349  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin back to its own rhythm again? on: February 15, 2018, 01:03:27 AM
Since last couple of weeks we see that bitcoin price is going down and down.
Is bitcoin price back to the normal and touch the highest by the end of the year ?
Is it again creating the new milestone?

What do you mean normal? Bitcoin has not been normal as far as I know. Maybe we have seen significant gains in the last couple of days that will makes us all happy and seeing its moving to a positive direction. It could be very well be the start of another bull run. Lets see how i goes specially if we are going to broke the $10K barrier this week or early next week.

For all-time-high, history shows that after a massive crash, what follows is a significant gain culminating in a record price. I'm not saying that this bull run that we are seeing will break the $19K, it could, but we have to wait and see.

Looking the growth level it seems that bitcoin has started to move on the right track in a good rhythm. Probably this time we can expect to touch $10000 soon as the resistance point is observed to be around $8500-$9000 which has been crossed a day back. Hope to see the value to be around ₹15000.

I wanted to see first and test $10K and get the sentiments of the market. We all know that there's entity behind creating fear amongst investors. If we break $10K and with no FUD, I think that its gonna be sustainable and maybe we it will be the last time to see bitcoin at 4 figures.

8350  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin bull run begins now? on: February 15, 2018, 12:43:23 AM
Yeah and it looks like it is climbing up really quick. Probably the altcoins will now all go down as bitcoin, the king, is back at it. Expect to see the alts go down, but I think there will be those that remain high up even if the prices of bitcoins are going up as well. But, we'll see in the coming days. Usually this will take a few weeks before we see a real ramp up in price changes.

I'm one of those that see bitcoin will make a run together with all the alts in the top 10. bitcoin is up, so automatically alt should be down. The market scene has change a lot ever since institutional investor enter the scene, we have seen this during the last massive bull run peaking at $19K, all altcoins went to the moon as well.

From the looks of it, we have been enjoying gains in the last couple of days and it looks like we finally broke the $9K barrier without to much selling at the side. I'm no expert, but I speculate that this could bring the bullish sentiments that we all have been waiting for. If at the end of the week we broke $10K then I guess the bulls are back and we might see the hype train ride again, everyone should be on board by now.
8351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China's Memo About A Bitcoin Crackdown Was Created By A Hacker And Is Fake on: February 11, 2018, 10:51:53 PM

I really don't believed anything that's coming from China now. They are all fake and unverified reports. And there's another news that PBoC is already sending emails to media outlets about the banning but they quickly says that they didn't do that as well.  Smiley

That's why I urge everyone not to take any news from them seriously. It looks like they are just trying to downplay what bitcoin has been established. We have somewhat recovered, but FUD like this will really take a impact to the ecosystem. Investors now is at the edge and a simple news will make then decided to sell off everything.
8352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 11, 2018, 10:21:44 PM
Federer has asked for a wildcard to participate in the Rotterdam tournament next week!
if he reaches the semifinal he will return to the first place in the atp ranking and he will be the "oldest" n.1 in history!

Is Roger Federer really gunning for the number 1 spot here? Or he must take care of his health first?

But I will be happy if he will reclaim that number 1 spot. Nadal already did, so I guess Roger should have his turns at the spot this year. If he marches to the quarter-finals, the possible opponent will be compatriot Stan Wawrinka. This will be another classic.

As for the Davis Cup, USA will have the upper hand against Belgium here. I will also go with Spain, Croatia and France.
8353  Economy / Speculation / Re: Any prediction for the Bitcoin? on: February 11, 2018, 09:37:00 PM
Bitcoin still fighting to be stable. In every two days, Bitcoin price rising and down happening. This is too volatile now. So, What do you think about the recent market? will it rise again? If which then which month it will happen?

99.9% people want bitcoin to recover and hit all-time-high again. That's why its like when we are already making a headway, suddenly the price could go down again. So for me there's really a lot of changes this 2018. Maybe investors are somewhat reluctant now to just put their money, unlike last year were there's a lot of irrational buyers. So we have to take that in consideration.

I speculate that before the end of this month, we can make significant gains toward the $10K mark. I say this because after the Chinese New Year, our friends will have to make money again and I see that crypto is one market that will go and have their cash ready to buy once again. Let's see how it goes after this Friday (Feb 16).
8354  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Website and Book on Blockchain, Bitcoin, Crypto on: February 11, 2018, 08:41:58 PM
Thanks for the share. Few comments though regarding https://blockogy.com/

1. I think you need to put What is Bitcoin or History first before ICO and Ethereum.

2. You are offering about a crypto book but the payment scheme is Paypal, MasterCard, Visa and AE?

3. I don't know mate but it looks too expensive for me to be honest

4. Any mode to contact you besides email? An official twitter will do good things so that your potential buyers can get a hold of you quick.

5. I think you can get good and honest reviews if you will offer it to at least Legendary and Trusted members here and you can post their review on your website.

6. I don't see (sorry if I missed it) anything about you. As authors you should put your background and little about how you end up in this crypto sphere.

Goodluck to you mate, I hope that you will be successful.
8355  Economy / Speculation / Re: Guy we must stop crypto/btc FUD :( we need to start campaigne. on: February 11, 2018, 08:19:44 PM
Many so called twitter/FB experts just spreading that btc will go to 3800-4200-4800$ just like that ,without showing any confirmations of the candlesticks,

And foolish followers updating on their timeline and retweeting their posts, so finally these leads to btc dump. when such kind of FUD spreads every where who will come forward to buy btc, all will be waiting for btc dump , Sad

I think we can't do anything about those who spread lies about bitcoin and crypto. They can do whatever they want, as much as we have that, our hands are all tied up. Right now the market moves into another bearish trend so it looks like those FUD'ers are working really hard to put the market down.

However, bitcoin is very resilient from such attacks. We may be down again, but we are not completely out. There will be a time that all those detractors will be quiet when bitcoin started another bull run.

And remember those person that really spread FUD are the same people who are buying at those dips. They want to pull back the price so that they can get in and buy at a discount. How ironic.
8356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: limiting bitcoin on: February 11, 2018, 07:49:29 PM
about the bitcoin going forward will be what will be withdrawn from the public, because many restrictions in some countries one of which is Indonesia which has been publicized by Bank Indonesia?

I'm sorry but it seems I can't understand you question, although I will try my best to answer you. Yes, Indonesia has banned bitcoin lately and they are really cracking it down like what we read in this news:

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-under-increasing-scrutiny-on-island-of-bali

That's one island in Indonesia frequented by foreigners so it really make sense for them to start there. However, there are still other countries which allows bitcoin trading like Japan, South Korea (with restrictions) and Australia. So going forward, it can still thrive and cannot be stop simply because one country has banned it like Indonesia did. And its also the case for countries with regulations around bitcoin and crypto's in general. It will continue to flourish because its unstoppable.
8357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to reduce total number of bitcoin circulations on: February 11, 2018, 07:24:07 PM
Is it possible that all wallets which did not have any transaction in past 3 years are considered inactive and only those bitcoin wallets which have had
at-least 1 active transaction are allowed to send/receive bitcoins.

What do you think?

it's not possible, there are really a lot of wallets that are inactive, maybe the owners lost the private key and can't accessed it anymore. But there are some 3 year old wallet that are inactive but have owners on it. They might be inactive because they simply doesn't want to touch it, they are what you call bagholders. They will never sell anything, not unless they have reached their exit strategy. But I doubt that they will because we all know that the longer you hold it, the higher profits can be made.

What do you asked though? What's the reason behind if I may?
8358  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-01-09] Russian Bitcoin Blogger Robbed and Beaten After Boasting Wealth on: February 11, 2018, 07:00:25 PM
This stuff is getting serious now , people should be careful and think twice before showing off their wealth in social media . Its easy to find out someones details and target his/her like in this case .

I have to agree with you. Last week there was a reported robbery as well, wherein they took shitloads of bitcoin from someone who owns a trading platform if I'm not mistaken.

Here is my take. You may be rich because of crypto, but you don't have to boast and tell the whole world how much money you got. Not only in crypto but in a fiat ecosystem as well. Because you can be a target, can want happened to this blogger. Besides, crypto has no name in it just address so if you self admitted that you are a crypto millionaire sooner or later those thugs are going to catch you. Idiot and dumb moved that cause him huge amount of money.
8359  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-02-07]Cryptocurrency bull run imminent with bitcoin to hit $50,000 in 2018 on: February 11, 2018, 06:42:43 PM
With every massive drops like we witness in January, what follows is another bullrun that will end in another all-time-high. History repeats itself so its just a matter of  time when are we going to see the price pick up once more overcame this bearish sentiments. It's been a one step forward, two steps backward kind of movement right now. But when all the situations fell into the right pieces, I'm sure that we are going to see bitcoin marching and try to test $20K. Let's see how it goes after the Chinese New Year. I also believed that if we ever started to break the 4 digits again, we will never see it dipping at that levels for a long time.

For me $50K is a good number to begin with. I'm seeing around $40K-$60K at the end of the year. Although its really too early to call, but those price is a safe bet. We don't want to predict high amount and then be disappointed when we didn't get to it. Its better to set a realistic and doable price and not stretch something beyond our imagination.
8360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto has gone to shit on: February 11, 2018, 06:20:35 PM
Scams everywhere now. Greedy ICOS that for some reason need 20 million dollars for a small project, Ridiculous.  Greed everywhere, thousands of coins that serve no purpose.  This is so far removed from satoshi's vision.  Premine bullshit  scams like onion.  Projects that have no reason to be on a fucking blockchain except to cash in money on the hype.  We need another fucking crash to clear out these shitcoins and scams, and you greedy mfer ICO devs are the cause of this bullshit.

I'm fully aware and understand your sentiments. I was a victim of a ICO that turn into a scam, though its not a big deal to me since that amount is just small. And that fucking ICO didn't even reach 1 millions, not even half a mil, but they ran off with the investors money. That's how the market turns out to be, they don't fucking care as long as they can get money from their unsuspecting victims.

But I have to disagree that we need to get ride of this scams right away. Want we need is due diligence on our part. And we should be active and report if you small ICO's that is not trusted and legit at the very beginning. As for Satoshi's vision, a lot has changes, even he didn't see that his invention would turn that big. How about the big blocks? He didn't increased it because he thought that it will not be max, but with today's volume, the cost of transaction is not cheap anymore that's why Bitcoin ceases to be a micro-payment scheme as he originally thought. But that's another discussion.
