841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] Guldencoin — Pay for food, books, drones, botox, toys and more on: August 27, 2014, 05:02:54 AM
FYI:

Criptoe.Com went offline for about 5 minutes tonight to run updates and add new mining ports for NLG.

The ports added were 3101 with a diff of 1024(previously added but not announced) and 3201 with a diff of 2048.  These ports are for the heavy hitters with larger ASICs.  If you would like to see additional ports/difficulties, let me know.

Thanks for the support, miners!

Special mining promo:

Criptoe.com is now giving away free hugs with every block found!

Hurry and get your free internet hugs while the supply lasts!

In all honesty though... how many times have we talked about spreading the hashes?  Almost 95% of the known hashrate is on HardCoreMiners.  If Hardcore goes down, that is a large hit to the network.  Spread the hashes.  There are 4 or 5 pools in the OP with no hashrate.

Spread the hashes.

Because most people like the relative anonymity of crypto.

If you are concerned about a seller/buyer being trustworthy, just use escrow.

If no one is interested in making an offer, I'm probably going to just ride em out until they all die.

If you want to make an offer, PM me.

Any desire to sell just 1 of them?

I'd rather sell the lot of 20 in one fell swoop.  I'd rather just hold on to them then worry about multiple sales.  I just really wanted to see if there was any interest as a lot.

i'll pay for shipping  Cool

Let me know when you find some deals like that.  I'll scoop them up as well.

Greetings,

I just wanted to gauge interest in 20 x unmodded GSD 5-chips with cables and PSUs in original boxes/shipping box.  I don't have a price in mind, but if there is an offer that sparks my interest, they're yours.  They work fine.  I just want to clear some room in my place and consolidate my equipment.

I've shipped a lot of equipment in the past, and 2-3 day shipping is about $50 for this package size/weight from CA to anywhere in continental US.  Please include this cost in your offer.

I'd prefer non-escrow deal in the US for fast turn-around for you and me.  My reputation and trust should be sufficient for this kind of deal.

Thanks,

Fuse

What exchange do you recommend I use for buying nLG?

which is popular and have good volume

I almost exclusively use Bittrex for NLG trades.  Just be warned that the NLG wallet often updates on it's own schedule.  Specifically when you deposit 100k+.  The wallet will say it hasn't synced in 30-40 minutes and then all of a sudden it's good again.  Don't expect to do lightning fast deposits/withdrawals there.

i've been reading this thread for a long while -lurking- but can somebody tell me what innovations are occurring, outside of PR, with Potcoin that would make me buy back in?

I'm just not seeing it....

But the PR is the innovation!  Grin

POT was around 500 when they halved this coin I thought.  Maybe im wrong.

There was a strong selloff of POT in early May.  I am going to go on a limb and say that the halving was probably being seriously discussed in Reddit earlier than it was here.  I'm not going to say one is a direct result of the other, but letting it ride out a little longer would have been a smart move.  The halving was announced May 9th in this thread.  At that time the high for the day on Mintpal was 885.  Before that, it was breaking 1000 on a regular basis, with the highest pump hitting 3700.  I sold nearly all my holdings at the time at 3500-3600.  My team did the same as we watched the pump.  Hopefully others did the same.

Per block value of POT before halving < per block value of POT after halving.  To be as profitable as before, the price would have had to have doubled.  Below is a chart of the life on Mintpal.  Blue is the previous floor, or the minimum profitability.  To be as profitable as before, the red line(the new floor) would need to be where the yellow line is.  We went into the previous profitability on two pumps, but it was quickly pushed back down.  The charts don't lie.

I seen the price around 2000 satoshi per POT on coin-swap today.  Cool

You're seeing the selling price near that.  The buyers are still locked below 1100, with mintpal going towards sub-1000.

I just want to go on record as saying this should be a lesson to the people that shouted for a halving because the coin was getting driven down in price.  The price per block is now worse than before.  I know the crypto world is down as a whole, but this is just silly.  The lesson here is that laws of supply and demand, specifically supply, don't always apply to crypto the way you think they will.

Im sorry you feel that way but, we asked the community all over and all.networks and here and everyone feels that their are to many coins be mined daily and not enough use yet so the best solution is to halve the block reward.

Im sorry we cant please everyone

LOL... there aren't enough uses yet, so you're going to limit the amount of coins being generated.  Why not push harder on finding uses for the coin?  This seems completely backwards in thinking.  Halving the reward will make the coin unprofitable until the price goes up to balance things out.  The price won't go up until there are more uses for the coin and there is a higher demand for it.  You are absolutely dense if you think this block halving is a good idea... especially if it's "because there aren't enough uses for the coin".

You say you asked the community... so where's the poll?  Where is the community vote?  Did some 2 week old account tell you "you should halve the reward so it'll go to the moonz!"?  This is idiotic, at best.

Plenty of long time miners and supporters have already come forward and said this was a stupid idea.  You failed to listen to the voice of reason in support of false profit.

switched my miners over to criptoe.com.  working fine.  Will keep them pointed here to spread the hash.  To be honest what attracted me to hardcoreminers is not the hashrate but the user interface that comes along with MPOS.  I can see earnings over last hour/day/week/etc., personal hourly hashrate graphs over the past 24 hours, transaction log, I can check up on things via an mpos android app, etc..

on the plus side for criptoe I do like the simplicity of the interface (no login required) and snappiness.

I will not badmouth HardCoreMiners... they run a great pool network.

I will badmouth MPOS though.  I agree that MPOS has a better interface than NOMP.  I'll tell you this though... after a year of running pools, mmcFE in the beginning and then MPOS(and now NOMP), I can tell you that I would hands down choose NOMP over MPOS any day.  I know the interface and reporting is better in MPOS, but NOMP is so much more secure and well thought out.  I've been on MPOS for a very long time.  I've watched that dev team jack stuff up, try to fix it, jack it up more, and then program something else all together when they couldn't figure it out.  And it seems that with every update they break even more.  I just got tired of worrying about updating, and what would break if I do.

That being said... don't take that as a hit against HardCoreMiners.  They have their ducks in a row.  And don't take that as a plea to mine on my pool.  I'm not running pools to make a million bitcoin.  I just like running pools for coins I support.  I appreciate the mining support, but I never want to be accused of stealing miners from another pool.

Just mine responsibly lol.  Smiley

I tried to go to each one and get the current hashrate.. got the following..

HASH:   url
---------------------------
025MH/s:  http://nlg.criptoe.com (invalid url? criptoe.com works)
234MH/s:  https://nlg.hardcoreminers.com
000MH/s:  http://gulden.p2p.0x0a.nl:27100 (stratum still alive?)
000MH/s:  http://pool.mycryptoco.in
013MH/s:  http://dutchpool.org:8000 (invalid url? dutchpool.org works)
???MH/s:  http://dutchpool.org:27100/static (invalid url? different than above?)

272MH/s: total hash from above

According to seeds.guldencoin.com, the net hash rate is over 800 MH/s.  so I assume the rest of the hashing power is coming from individuals or groups running private pools?  I remember a while back someone ran some queries against the blockchain to see what addresses the newly generated coins were going to.

PS: maybe we need to clean up this info on docs.guldencoin.com?  I think the urls on post 1 of this ANN is more accurate.

PPS: last thing - the navigation links on guldencoin.com are in dutch.. IE: Overzicht, Versturen on https://guldencoin.com/receive didn't know if that was intentional to subliminally teach us dutch or an oversight.  Smiley

NLG.CripToe.Com is closed down, and is now just a port on the CripToe.Com NOMP pool.  I've been watching the hashrate of the pools a lot lately.  Not too happy about seeing 200+MH on hardcoreminers constantly when there are other pools that don't have a single user.  I've made a few posts about this in the past.  While the majority of the hashrate is from unknown sources, it would be better to keep the known hashrate evened out.

Spread the hash and keep the network healthy.

having trouble also with getting a working wallet, even with all the added extra nodes.
no block source available, 27 weeks behind.....

Delete everything in the config folder, except the wallet.dat file, and then restart the wallet.  If it hangs on downloading the chain, which it will a few times because of the forks that occurred, stop the program and restart it.  Eventually it should catch up.

This is for windows. Hope it helps Smiley

klondikecoin-qt-V2-fixed.rar

Not sure if this is still live or not(can't hit it behind our filter at work).  If this is still live, it's the one I'm using currently at home.  If it isn't live, I'll upload to mega or something later when I get home.

Is there a way to still sync the wallet? Mintpal removing KDC and I need to send my coins but wallet isn't syncing

You'll need to resync the wallet.

Add the following to the top of your klondikecoin.conf file, then resync.  It should get you up to date.

Code:
addnode=criptoe.com

Picture with the coin next to your forum name and date hand written on a piece of paper, regardless of whether you're going to try to sell it.  The fact that you say you've had the coin for 20 years and it still isn't graded is a sign as well.  Any collector would have even the shittiest coin graded to prove authenticity.  Going forward people will think you are a scammer because of this thread.

Hell... if I see a post from you to sell something, I'll refer people to this thread with a warning.

I'm tired of fucking scammers.  Especially ones trying to get this much money.

You should probably stop fucking scammers then!

Sorry, couldn't resist.

BTW, I was the one I said had coins like these for 20 years. The earliest is dated 1882.

OK... I got the 20 year thing mixed up.

You did get me though... that was pretty good  Cheesy.

Either way, timk225... clear up the situation or someone will end up putting a scam accusation thread in the scam subforum.  It might even be me.
